“Erm...” Su Yang initially thought that everyone was just being polite and chatting casually.
In the end, Tang Jing suddenly said something like that.
Hence, Su Yang did not know how to continue, so he picked up the glass and started drinking.
After drinking a few mouthfuls, Su Yang calmed down. He thought for a while and changed the topic. “Is this about the company?”
He paused. “I remember I had Old Zhao look after our... Company.”
After saying that, Su Yang suddenly felt that his words sounded a little ambiguous.
He glanced at the stairs guiltily..
When Tang Jing heard Su Yang’s words, she smiled and felt a little sweet in her heart. However, when she saw Su Yang glancing at the stairs worriedly, she sighed inside.
She changed the subject as well after that. “Is... Is she your girlfriend?”
Tang Jing remembered that she had seen Chu Xia in the entertainment news before. At the time, only her back view was shown being with Su Yang.
However, for some reason, she felt that Chu Xia should be the one in the photo.
Furthermore, Tang Jing had gone to buy a glass phone on the day it got sold, where she also met Chu Xia that day.
Su Yang felt that the water in his hands seemed to have turned colder. He grunted and did not continue speaking.
The living room instantly fell into silence.
Tang Jing silently picked up the cup on the table and took a sip of it.
However, the water tasted a little bitter.
Not sweet.
Under the cover of the cup, Tang Jing bit her lips as her heart was in a mess.
After a moment, she puts down her glass and says, “She’s... Beautiful. And... A very nice woman.”
After saying that, she looked at Su Yang with her beautiful eyes that seemed to be filled with sorrow and deep affection. “You... Have good taste.”
Su Yang exchanged glances with her. He felt that he could not bear it. In fact, he felt that even his [Eye of Origins] was not functioning properly.
Strange words kept popping out, which left him feeling a little frustrated.
That was the first time that he realized that being omniscient or being able to see through someone’s thoughts was such a terrible thing.
He silently deactivated his [Eye Of Origins] and avoided Tang Jing’s gaze. “Thank you.”
A trace of disappointment flashed across Tang Jing’s eyes. She lowered her head and took another sip of water, only to realize that it was even more bitter...
The living room fell into silence again.
This time, it remained that way for over five minutes.
During those five minutes, Su Yang felt as though he was sitting on pins and needles. He wanted to ease the tension, but he did not know what to say.
Or... He was actually afraid to say anything.
He felt like the most awkward thing that had happened to him that day was that the four of them ran into each other.
Actually, If Chu Xia was not with him, Su Yang would have been able to have a very relaxing chat with Tang Jing.
If that were the case, it did not matter how flirty or romantic their topics in the past were. At most, they would just sigh and forget about it.
But now that Chu Xia was at home, Su Yang did not dare to chat with Tang Jing.
This was because if Tang Jing mentioned something and Chu Xia heard her, it would be awkward.
Back then, he did not have a girlfriend, but now... He had Chu Xia...
However, looking at Tang Jing’s sad expression, Su Yang felt bad. He wanted to comfort her, but did not know what to say.
‘This is literally living Hell.’
In the end, it was Tang Jing who noticed that something was wrong that night. She calmed herself down first, then looked up and said with a smile, “Xiaoyang, your girlfriend called me and Xiaomi over to play tonight, which caused us to end up not being able to watch the movie.
“You’re going to have to pay us for the movie tickets, got it?”
Since the topic was easy, Su Yang quickly added, “That’s for sure. If you guys watch it twice, you can increase the box office of the movie.”
Tang Jing covered her mouth and smiled gently. Then, she chatted with Su Yang for a while more and was about to leave.
Su Yang wished that the party would end soon, so he did not ask her to stay and went upstairs to look for Xiaomi.
When he was searching, Su Yang could not help but recall the scene of Tang Jing coming to his house tonight.
He was on a date with Chu Xia when he bumped into Tang Jing.
The two looked at each other and were stunned.
Chu Xia was smart enough to notice that something was amiss. Hence, she asked Su Yang to introduce Tang Jing to her.
Su Yang came back to his senses and introduced the two of them awkwardly.
Just then, Xiaomi showed up.
Chu Xia seemed to have thought of something and instantly found it even more interesting. Therefore, she directly invited the mother-daughter pair to go over to his house to play.
Of course, Su Yang could tell that something bad was about to happen. Hence, he reminded her that she wanted to watch a movie and that there was no time.
However, Tang Jing replied with a “Okay”.
So... The four of them gave up on the movie and went to Su Yang’s house...
Thankfully, everything was over at that moment.
Su Yang went upstairs to call Tang Xiaomi.
On the other hand, Tang Xiaomi and Chu Xia were really playing a game there. Looking at the two of them laughing and chatting happily, Su Yang suddenly felt that he had over thought things.
‘I should’ve had a good chat with Tang Jing earlier.
‘At least it wouldn’t have been awkward between us.’
When she saw Su Yang coming up, Chu Xia threw out two cards and smiled at Su Yang. “Have you finished your chat with Sister Jing?”
When she smiled, her eyes were like two rainbows, incredibly cute.
Hearing that, Tang Xiaomi turned around.
If it was the Tang Xiaomi from the past, she might have leaped into Su Yang’s embrace and called out his name happily. However, the Tang Xiaomi now merely looked at Su Yang. There was a glimmer of hope in her big eyes. She wanted to get closer to him, but there was also a trace of worry and unfamiliarity.
Su Yang smiled at Tang Xiaomi and lit up the light in her eyes. Then, he nodded at Chu Xia. “That’s right. Sister Jing said she’s going back. She asked me to call Xiaomi.”
Hearing that, Chu Xia and Tang Xiaomi stopped playing. They got up and followed Su Yang downstairs.
In the end, Su Yang and Chu Xia sent Tang Jing out of the villa.
Tang Jing and Tang Xiaomi went to watch a movie in a taxi, so Su Yang arranged for Pan Zhaodi to send them home.
As the taillights of the car disappeared around the corner, Su Yang saw Tang Jing and Tang Xiaomi’s reluctant expressions before they left.
He sighed, feeling annoyed.
Just as he was feeling troubled, he suddenly felt a warm hand reach out and grab his hand.
Su Yang turned to look at the owner of the hand. What entered his eyes was Chu Xia.
Chu Xia smiled and asked, “Are you regretting letting them leave?”
Su Yang coughed. “No, you’re thinking too much.”
Chu Xia imitated Su Yang’s insincere manner, “No. You’re thinking too much.”
Su Yang was so angry that he laughed. Then, he poked Chu Xia’s waist. “Why are you copying me?”
Chu Xia dodged and stuck out her tongue. “Why are you copying me?”
“Hey! Are you done copying me?” Su Yang smiled and pounced over, wanting to teach Chu Xia a lesson.
Chu Xia, on the other hand, laughed and ran into the house, scattering silvery laughter all the way...
An hour and a half later, Chu Xia was lying in Su Yang’s embrace. Su Yang was yawning and felt a little sleepy.
Chu Xia looked at Su Yang and gently poked Su Yang’s cheek with her jade-like fingers. She asked softly, “Su Yang, do you... Have something going on with Sister Jing?”
Su Yang was instantly not sleepy anymore.
He looked at Chu Xia. “You mustn’t let your thoughts run wild and defame me.”
Chu Xia looked at Su Yang with a faint smile. Then, she shifted her head towards Su Yang’s arm and said, “Really? Maybe I was overthinking.”
“After all... The way Sister Jing looks at you is similar to mine.”
Su Yang fell silent.
Chu Xia seemed to be talking to herself, “Seeing her, it’s like I see myself when I was waiting for you the entire year.”
“Every time I think of you, I would look in the mirror, and my eyes would look exactly the same as hers.”
Su Yang did not reply.
He felt that no matter what he said, he was going to end up dead. Hence, he might as well... Play dead.
Chu Xia’s hand was moving across Su Yang’s six-pack.
“Do you like Sister Jing?”
Su Yang continued to play dead.
Chu Xia looked up at Su Yang. Su Yang had already shut his eyes tightly and didn’t say anything.
Chu Xia sighed and got up to put on her clothes.
This time, Su Yang had no choice but to open his eyes. “Where are you going?”
Chu Xia turned around and rolled her eyes at Su Yang. “Where else? Home.
“Where else would I stay? Here?.”
Su Yang was speechless.
‘Fine.
‘I forgot that she has to go home at night.
‘Perhaps I got too nervous today.’
Su Yang put on a sleeping robe and sent Chu Xia downstairs.
Chu Xia turned around and hugged Su Yang before leaving.
Watching Chu Xia leave, Su Yang actually felt relieved.
‘As expected, Shurabas has got nothing to do with wealth or status. It’s how much you value these people.’
When he returned to his room, Chu Xia’s fragrance lingered in the air. Su Yang laid on his bed and stared blankly at the ceiling.
He did not know what he was doing.
All he knew was that he did not want to think about anything...
Just as he was lost in thought, his phone suddenly rang.
Su Yang picked up his phone. It was Tang Xiaomi’s WeChat. ‘Su Yang, are you asleep? I want to talk to you.’
Su Yang thought for a while and finally replied with a ‘Okay’.
Five minutes later, Tang Xiaomi entered the virtual space through the glass phone.
After more than two years, when Xiaomi returned to the virtual space, her eyes were filled with excitement.
However, unlike when she was young, she did not ride the little husky around the yard to play. Instead, she waved at Su Yang like an adult and said, “Shall we go to the garden to talk?”
Su Yang smiled and patted her head. He felt that Xiaomi looked even cuter now.
Xiaomi shook her head and glared at Su Yang. “I’m not a child anymore.”
Su Yang coughed and retracted his hand.
When they reached the third floor, Xiaomi sat on the swing and patted the side.
Su Yang smiled and sat down.
Tang Xiaomi turned to Su Yang and asked, “Su Yang, what do you think of my mommy?”
Su Yang was speechless.
‘How is this not over yet?’
Hence, he did not say anything.
Xiaomi seemed to be in a trance as she said, “Actually, Mommy has been thinking about you for more than two years. But she thinks that because she’s older than you, and she has me with her, she doesn’t deserve you. So, even if you didn’t look for her, she didn’t dare to call you.
“She was afraid that she might be a bother to you.”
Su Yang glanced at Xiaomi.
‘Children these days are really amazing. They’re so young, yet they’re minds are already so mature.
‘I seem to remember her not being this mature yet when she left my house though.’
Xiaomi continued, “If you don’t have feelings for Mommy, then I suggest you tell her so that she can give up on you.”
“If you also like mommy, I think you should make it clear and not let her wait for you like a fool for so long.”
Su Yang did not answer her directly. “I have a girlfriend.”
Xiaomi said, “Only one of them.”
Su Yang was confused.
Xiaomi pointed outside the castle. “I’m not a five-year-old anymore. I know you’re special.
“Other people don’t have these things at all.
“So, why are you bothered that you have a girlfriend?”
At this point, Xiaomi turned to look at Su Yang with a serious expression on her cute face. “Besides, Sister Chu Xia doesn’t mind.”
A question mark appeared on Su Yang’s head.
Xiaomi rolled her eyes at Su Yang. She did not want to continue the conversation. She said, “Think about it yourself.” Then, she left..
After Xiaomi left, Su Yang asked, “Little Deeny, what exactly was Xiaomi talking about?”
Little Deeny coughed and said, “Master, I happened to hear something while Xiaomi was chatting with Miss Chu Xia.
“They seem to be confused because you’re one of a kind.
“Miss Chu Xia said that she has thought things through a lot in the past two years. Especially since you’ve developed so quickly and have all sorts of magical abilities, which makes you completely different from ordinary people.
“She felt that she would be content with just staying by your side.”
“As for whether you have got someone else, she doesn’t really mind it.
“Or rather, she feels that she can’t control you.”
When Su Yang heard Little Deeny’s words, he muttered, “One of a kind?”
Little Deeny said from the void, “Yes. For example, the virtual space, the special items, and all kinds of abilities that only Gods would have.
“If you are already a god compared to others, then how could you abide by the rules of the world?
“Besides, the system of monogamy is only a few decades old in China, isn’t it?”
Su Yang’s mouth widened. “So, Chu Xia wants me... To have someone else?”
Little Deeny burst out laughing. “Miss Chu Xia didn’t say that.
“Of course she doesn’t like you having someone else.”
“But if you do, she might not mind it all that much.”
Su Yang added in his heart. ‘Does that even mean the same...’
Little Deeny said, “So, the only thing that’s stopping you and Tang Jing is your own intentions. What exactly are you thinking?”
