Chapter 342 The VIP Room’s Power Struggle!
After all, although Su Yang was the boss, Chu Hong and Tan Mei were the bosses of these artists and employees.
They did not own any shares in the company, so they were not afraid of the consequences. If they caused trouble, the company might collapse instantly. Therefore, Su Yang’s motive today was simple. He wanted to find out what Chu Hong was up to.
He had even taken out the hourglass, just to settle this once and for all today.
She gestured for the two of them to sit down. Pan Zhaodi closed the door and sat beside Su Yang This private room was not big and was normally reserved for six people. Su Yang and Pan Zhaodi sat together while Tan Mei and Chu Hong sat opposite him. Both sides were very spacious.
Since it was probably their first time meeting, the four of them studied each other.
Truth be told, Su Yang was not considered handsome. He was just delicate and pretty. He had a scholarly air about him that made people feel comfortable.
Of course, this comfort was rather immature in society and business.
What the mall needed was dominance, a king of war, not a student who looked like a fawn.
Therefore, Tan Mei felt slightly disappointed after sizing Su Yang up.
In her eyes, Su Yang was wearing a simple T-shirt and playing with an hourglass-shaped toy. He did not even look like a business elite, let alone a boss. He looked like a child who had not grown up.
He was too young and inexperienced.
She wanted her boss to be a man of his word. He had the charisma to lead the company to become the head of the domestic entertainment industry.
However, on second thought, the boss was not someone she could choose. No matter how ‘bad’ he was, he was still better than Young Master Yin.
Other than the basic maintenance fees, Young Master Ying did not care about the company and did not help the company at all.
Although this boss was a little young, he seemed to value the company very much.
Hence, she was only slightly disappointed with Su Yang’s immaturity before she left. She was more curious about how this young boss planned the company.
On the other hand, Chu Hong merely looked at Su Yang. There was no change in her expression. It was as if they were meeting for the first time. She was neither sad nor happy. There was no expression on her face, and no one could guess what she was thinking.
The private room fell silent.
Su looked at the two of them who had their own thoughts and took the initiative to say, “Sister Tan, it’s been a long and tiring journey. Have you encountered any problems recently?”
Tan Mei was a very easy-going person. She smiled and said, “It’s not difficult. The operation is pretty good.”
Chu Hong’s lips twitched slightly.
Su Yang shifted his gaze to her. “Then, Chu Hong, are you guys facing any problems?”
The difference in Su Yang’s pronunciation was obvious. Tan Mei did not show it on her face, but her heart skipped a beat. She felt that something was amiss.
However, Chu Hong acted as if she did not notice the difference in Su Yang’s greeting. She said calmly, “Actually, there are still some difficulties. For example, our company’s funds have always been insufficient, and many of our marketing plans cannot be carried out. There are good seedlings but no money to promote.” “Sister Tan and I have some resources in the industry, but we cannot rely on us to make a name for ourselves. The production team prioritizes the viewership ratings and box office. The artistes are not famous, so no matter how many favors we owe them, they will not dare use them.
After saying that, she glanced at Tan Mei and added, “Also, the company’s system is a little messy when it comes to the arrangements of the company’s artistes. Normally, I should be the one to arrange and choose this part of the work, but recently, the other departments of the company have directly assigned the artistes to film the company’s brother.” “This kind of movie hasn’t been discussed by the company, and I haven’t studied the project in detail. I’m very doubtful whether this project will succeed or not. Will it have a negative effect on the actors?”.
Tan Mei’s heart ‘exploded’ when she heard Chu Hong’s words. Chu Hong’s words clearly said that there was a problem with the company, and she was even blaming Tan Mei.
m
However, she had worked with Chu Hong for many years and had been friends with her for many years. She knew very well that Chu Hong had ulterior motives and was blaming Su Yang!
She accused Su Yang of ‘abusing his power’ and asked the female artistes in his company to film for her other projects.
This was a slap in the face in front of Su Yang.
At that thought, she looked at Su Yang and realized that he was still smiling as though he did not understand what Chu Hong meant.
She could not help but hesitate. Did Director Su not hear the hidden meaning in Chu Hong’s words? Or did he hear it but was shrewd and did not reveal it ...
If that was the case ... she would have to reevaluate President Su.
Of course, Su Yang could tell that he was not as kind and innocent as Tan Mei thought.
He had grown up in the village, and he had seen many schemes. In a place that was almost isolated from the rest of the world, if he was innocent, he would be eaten until there was nothing left.
In the few months that he had been in Shanghai, he had been through a lot of dark, white, and gray things. This made him extremely familiar with these people.
Previously, he did not understand why Chu Hong seemed to have a problem with him and even purposely went to Shanghai to meet him, but now ... he knew.
He quietly played with the hourglass and then said to Pan Zhaodi, “Zhaodi, pour us some water.”
Pan Zhaodi nodded. “Yes, Director Su.”
As she spoke, she got up and walked to the door to pour some hot water.
No matter where Pan Zhaodi was, she was an existence that attracted people’s attention. Other than her appearance and figure, her steel-like temperament was enough to make people involuntarily cast their eyes on her.
However, the three people did not seem to notice her at all. They continued to stare at each other silently, and there was a sense of hostility in the air.
Su Yang looked at Chu Hong and said slowly, “It’s a company. There will always be special circumstances. As long as the results are good, isn’t it enough?”
Chu Hong smiled. “Makes sense, Director Su.”
This was the first time she smiled, and it was also the first time she agreed with Su Yang. However, she felt that Su Yang was mocking her.
Su Yang did not get angry and continued, “That movie was filmed by a film company of mine. We have estimated that this project will become popular.” Chu Hong nodded. “You’re right.”
After saying that, he changed the topic. “However, being popular does not mean that the actors are popular. Furthermore, taking on roles also depends on whether the acting path is suitable for the actors. It will be helpful for her character profile and fans to maintain it. Not all shows can become actors.” Even though he said it calmly, the meaning behind his words was laced with hostility.
Tan Mei only felt like she was being ridiculous. Even though she realized that the two of them were at odds with each other, she could not understand why the two of them who had ‘met’ for the first time looked like enemies who had been enemies for many years. But whether it was for Chu Hong or Su Yang, she did not want things to get worse.
She laughed and said, “Director Su, please forgive me. Chu Hong didn’t mean to question
you.”
As she said that, she secretly pulled Chu Hong’s sleeve under the table, signaling her to stop talking
However, Su Yang ignored Tan Mei’s attempt to smooth things over and asked Chu Hong instead, “How do you know that I haven’t done any research on Lin Jiali’s character?” Chu Hong chuckled.
Su Yang waved at Pan Zhaodi.
Thus, Pan Zhaodi, who had just poured the water, stood up and took out a copy of Lin Jiali’s investigation report from her bag, then placed it in front of Chu Hong.
Tan Mei’s eyes lit up. Although she did not know the results of Su Yang’s investigation in this report, as the boss of a corporation, she could tell that Su Yang was serious about this matter since he was willing to do the investigation for an artist of her own company. She could also tell that Su Yang valued his company!
However, she was pleasantly surprised, but Chu Hong did not think so. She placed her hand on the report and said directly, “I don’t need to read this report because it has no value to our conversation.”
Even though Su Yang knew what she meant, he replied, “Oh? Then what is of value to our conversation?”
Chu Hong said coldly, “The development of a company requires a strict system. You bypassed me and privately appointed a movie for the actors. This is not in line with the company’s procedures. If everything goes like this in the future, how will the company operate?
“Furthermore, during the filming of your movie, our artistes almost received an unspoken rule.” Then, Chu Hong told him about a female artiste who was threatened by Director Wang on set and was almost raped.
Su Yang witnessed that incident with his own eyes, so he was very clear about it.
After hearing what Chu Hong said, Tan Mei looked at Su Yang and opened her mouth. She wanted to ask something but did not say anything
Because she finally realized something was wrong ...
Why was Chu Hong so clear about these things? Su Yang, on the other hand, was not surprised that Chu Hong knew about these things.
Something must have happened between the two.
Tan Mei, who had been in the film and television industry for more than ten years and had once commanded the winds and rain, was rational enough not to interrupt. Instead, she quietly watched the two of them fight.
Chu Hong looked at Su Yang with undisguised mockery in her eyes. Her heart was filled with joy.
Because she knew her general.
As the boss, Su Yang’s natural standpoint was to uphold the company’s rules and procedures. Otherwise, anyone could ride on his head and pee.
Furthermore, he had violated the company’s rules and almost caused the company to lose money.
In other words, everything in the company belonged to Su Yang. Even if there was a loss, it would be Su Yang’s loss. If Su Yang was willing, no one could interfere.
“But ... you’re the boss. If you don’t set an example, protect the company’s rules and interests, then who will? Su Yang was forced into a dead end.
Chu Hong felt that victory was within her grasp.
