Chapter 335 Sanque’s Sage Mode!
Among all the little monsters, Pool probably had the most peaceful mentality at home. He really did not fight for anything. Perhaps, he knew that his role was less important.
Hence, he happily said to Sanque, “Sanque, congratulations.”
Sanque still looked like a big radish. He slowly opened his eyes, looked up at Pool, and nodded. “Thanks.”
It was concise.
The word, ‘thanks’ embodied the deep relationship between Sanque and Pool. It was a song worth crying over!
If it were put into the reading comprehension of the language test, it would probably require someone to write almost two hundred words to describe the deeper meaning of a single onomatopoeia it made...
After sweeping the monsters into the virtual space, Su Yang followed suit.
When Su Yang appeared in the living room, Little Deeny was already waiting for her.
Ever since she could split into seven clones, Su Yang felt that she was much freer...
‘I never get to see her come out and greet me before...’
Today, Little Deeny not only came out to welcome Su Yang, but she was also dressed like a maid.
When she saw Su Yang, she crossed her arms and bowed deeply. “Master, you’re back.”
Su Yang was speechless.
‘What was Little Deeny up to again?
‘Why did it feel like the people I’ve met have become weird since the wrapping up party started? Have I transmigrated?’ Little Deeny raised her head and saw Pool, Sanque and the three little monster beans standing not far away from Su Yang.
Her face turned red, and she disappeared into thin air. It seemed that her real body had canceled her doppelganger.
Su Yang was speechless.
‘This... is even stranger!’
Pool acted as if he did not see what had just happened. He hugged the three little monster beans and bowed to Su Yang before returning to the swimming pool.
Now, the three monster bean brothers in the milk tea shop had a clear distinction from the little monster beans in the courtyard. They wore suits and were polite. They were half asleep in the water.
Su Yang felt that if this continued, they would evolve into a new species a few years later...
After all, the little monster beans were different from the other little monsters. They were no longer independent individuals but instead, they were a species that had the foundation to reproduce, evolve, and adapt to the environment.
‘Thinking about it this way, if I throw the little monster beans into different environments and let them survive on their own, such as deserts, oceans and volcanoes, they might adapt to the environment and evolve into different genera with different attributes and customs.
‘For example... fried little monster beans, braised little monster beans, sweet and sour little monster beans, etc.’ Just as Su Yang was lost in his thoughts, Little Deeny, who was wearing a new set of clothes, floated down from upstairs. She looked at Sanque in embarrassment but he had his eyes closed in the flower pot and looked as though he was not paying attention to anything. Little Deeny heaved a sigh of relief and said to Su Yang, “Master, I’ve found the information about the agency that you’re looking for.”
Little Deeny was indeed very efficient.
Su Yang brought Little Deeny to the sofa and placed Sanque’s flower pot on the table. Then, he gestured for Little Deeny to sit down. “Come, tell me about it.” Little Deeny sat on the sofa. “Your company is called New Arts Culture Media Co., Ltd. It’s a small management agency that focuses on female artistes. In the past few years, only Han Yi and Lin Jiali have been released. The other male celebrity, Luo Yi subsequently jumped ship to New Arts Culture as well.”
“There are very few artists in New Arts Culture now. After Han Yi left, only Lin Jiali, Luo Yi, and six other female trainees are left. This batch of trainees has been groomed for more than a year. After the selection, they will probably be eliminated soon. There shouldn’t be more than two left.”
Su Yang pursed his lips. There were only two artists in the entire company, and the new batch did not have any good seedlings. This company was about to go bankrupt.
However, back then, he had only wanted to get the talent of an artiste’s manager, so getting these for free was a chance for him to earn a quick buck.
Little Deeny continued, “Then I checked the annual reports of New Arts Culture Year for the 17th and 18th year. The revenue was 3.15 million and 4.41 million respectively. The increase in 18 years was because Luo Yi jumped ship. Almost all the revenue of New Arts Culture was contributed by two debut artists.”
Su Yang nodded. The revenue was pretty good.
Little Deeny took a glance at Su Yang before he sighed and said, “However, after subtracting the cost, the net profit of the new art culture has been reduced to a loss for two years. In year 17, we lost 1.71 million yuan. In year 18, we lost 1.63 million yuan.”
Su Yang was stunned for a moment. ‘How were they earning so much money and still recorded a loss?’
Little Deeny could tell that Su Yang was puzzled and explained, “Master, this loss is actually normal. In the process of the company’s development, it is a bad sign that it has been making profits. After all, in times of rapid development, only large amounts of investment can seize the market. Look at Bilibili, they’re still making losses.”
Su Yang, who was a noob when it came to venture capital, nodded his head in confusion. ‘So that’s the case... Then, is it a good thing that New Arts Culture is losing money?
‘Why does it feel weird?’
Before Su Yang could figure it out, Little Deeny poured another bucket of cold water on Su Yang. “It’s just that ... even though the loss is small, it has exposed a bigger problem with New Arts Culture.”
Su Yang looked at Little Deeny. “What problem?”
“It’s not profitable,” said Tiny.’ It doesn’t have good assets, and it certainly doesn’t have the money to develop talents. So... it doesn’t have any future prospects. “Moreover, it only lost so little despite losing money. To put it bluntly, it’s because it’s not good at business. It doesn’t earn money in the market segment that it belongs to, it doesn’t gain the favor of capital funds, and it doesn’t have money to burn. Such poor financial data can basically classify it as a trash asset.”
Su Yang was speechless.
‘Little Deeny, aren’t you growing too fast? How do you know so much?!
‘Why is it that I understand what you say when you tell me about it but I don’t have a clue what the data means when they’re put together?’
Su Yang looked at Little Deeny, who did not know how awesome she was, and asked carefully, “Why don’t... you tell me your conclusion?”
Little Deeny was speechless.
She looked at Su Yang with an innocent expression. “To sum it up, this company needs to be reorganized and get an investment in order to operate. Otherwise, it’ll be in a mess forever. Furthermore, the few executives in this company are not capable or have low subjectivity. Even if they don’t work hard, they still need to adjust.”
Su Yang nodded. ‘Got it!
‘How simple!’
He said, “Okay, I understand. Thank you, Little Deeny.”
Little Deeny chuckled and disappeared.
After Little Deeny disappeared, Sanque slowly turned around in the flower pot and looked at Su Yang with an indifferent expression. “Done?”
Su Yang was speechless.
“Done.”
‘Did this guy get anxious from waiting?!’ He just didn’t want to talk about it. Now that Little Deeny had left, he couldn’t hold back anymore!
Su Yang picked up Sanque’s flower pot as if he was serving an old man who couldn’t take care of himself. Then, he got a little monster bean to bring the two remaining Guardian Talismans from the study room and wrapped them around Sanque.
After wrapping the Guardian Talisman, Su Yang carried Sanque out of the villa.
Based on his previous experience, Su Yang knew that adding a third point would cause the little monster beans to explode. The virtual space was also his home, and if he messed it up, he would have to let the little monster bean clean it up. Hence, he decided to add more points outside.
Sanque, on the other hand, remained unperturbed, as if he didn’t care.
Su Yang carried the flower pot to the backyard.
There were no birds chirping or flowers in the backyard, but it was huge! Su Yang felt that even if Sanque exploded, there should be enough space for him to explode.
With that in mind, he placed Sanque in the clearing and activated the system.
After turning on the system, Su Yang looked at him, who was shining with orange light, and gently tapped the [+] on its head.
[(Do you want to add a third point? The failure rate of adding a third point will greatly increase. After failing, the item will be completely damaged.]
This time, Su Yang clicked (Yes)!
After doing so, Su Yang ran off! He was afraid that he would slow down!
However, no matter how fast he ran, there was still a loud bang as the airwave hit him!
Su Yang was still running when he felt his body lighten. He flew two meters away and fell onto the ground.
He turned around and saw that Sanque’s flower pot had exploded into pieces. Its entire radish erupted with an intense orange light before rising into the air! It remained motionless in the air.
Just as Little Deeny experienced when she got her third point added, the orange light began to take on a physical form. Then, layer by layer, it wrapped around Sanque and finally formed a cocoon of light. A countdown appeared on it: 59: 59.
‘Another hour.’
Su Yang asked little monster bean to bring over the [Stool That Refuses To Eat Melon Seeds). Sitting on it, he started to think about the management company that Little Deeny mentioned.]
After pondering over Little Deeny’s words, Su Yang felt that what Little Deeny said made sense. However, there were some flaws. From a venture capital perspective, New Arts Culture was indeed a rubbish asset. That was why Young Master Ying handed it to him.
However, there was a reason why it became a junk asset. It wasn’t because it didn’t have the capital to support it, but because it couldn’t. Young Master Ying wasn’t just a major shareholder of New Arts Culture, he also controlled 100% of the shares.
He was a second-generation heir. He was rich and powerful. Which venture capital firm would want to eat his flesh?
This was also the reason why New Arts Culture did not manage well. After Young Master Ying built the company, he did not pay much attention to it, causing the two executives in the company to forgo taking care of it as well.
Why didn’t Su Yang doubt the capabilities of these two executives?
Because under such circumstances, they could still choose a few good seedlings, make celebrities jump ship, and nurture Han Yi and Lin Jiali under such limited resources. This in itself proved their capabilities. Thus ... the foundation of New Arts Culture was still very good. The only thing he needed to do was to activate it!
After Su Yang thought about it for a long time, he felt that she had to make a trip to New Arts Culture as soon as possible to sort out the company. For example, he could brainwash them with (Verbal Cannon).
No matter what, Su Yang had an app with several million daily active users and a film company that had more resources than Young Master Ying
An hour passed by in the blink of an eye. Soon, a notification popped up in front of Su Yang.
(Wild Ginseng+3: Ability Enhancement. New ability acquired.) Following this prompt, countless cracks suddenly appeared on the cocoon of light that was originally floating in the air. Then, it exploded with a bang.
Following the explosion, an orange light burst forth!
Su Yang, who had experience from last time, closed his eyes and waited for the light to fade.
And wherever the orange light shone, all the plants in the backyard grew crazily. The bamboo grew steadily, and soon, it grew more than two meters tall!
A moment later, Su Yang opened his eyes. The bright light had already dissipated. Sanque stood quietly on the spot. There didn’t seem to be any changes to it. It still had the appearance of a large radish. It was wrinkled and looked very ugly. However, the green grass on its head had actually grown a flower bud. It actually gave off a kind of “cute, ugly, and cute” feeling. With his previous experience, Su Yang clicked on the three words [New Ability).]
A new interface appeared in front of him.
He looked over and saw the words (Special Ability: Sage Mode).
‘Sage mode? What does that mean?’
Just when Su Yang was puzzled, Sanque looked at Su Yang. The flower bud on his head suddenly... bloomed.
