Chapter 738 - Everyone Has Come to the Villa
Jia Xiaoqian frowned. “How could there possibly be superpowers in this world?”
Mr. Jia smiled and nodded. “I think so too.”
Puzzlement filled Xiaoqian’s face. “Daddy, why did you ask that question then...”
Mr. Jia raised a finger and interrupted her before he continued to ask slowly, “Then... Do you think there’s such a thing as lot in this world?”
“Lot?” Jia Xiaoqian frowned again. “Surely you mean luck, don’t you?”
Mr. Jia shook his head. “No. Lot. Lot is different from luck. Luck only affects a person’s recent luck, while lot is a distribution of fate allocated to a person to achieve great things. In other words, they were born to be served.”
Jia Xiaoqian shook her head. “Isn’t that just some superstition? How could there possibly be such a thing?”
Mr. Jia nodded again. “Actually, I don’t believe it either.”
Jia Xiaoqian was completely confused. “Daddy, what are you trying to say then?”
Mr. Jia put on his glasses, opened the drawer, and took out a document. He handed it to Jia Xiaoqian and said, “Take a look at this document.”
Out of curiosity, Jia Xiaoqian took the document and started reading it. The document contained Su Yang’s recent experiences from birth till now.
Of course, this experience was not particularly detailed and was just a documentary. For example, it stated when he was born, what school he went to, what university he went to, what he majored, and what company he started in a few years.
Hence, Jia Xiaoqian read on carefully. Initially, the information was still considered normal, a story of a rural student struggling to get into a famous university.
However, half a year after he arrived in Shanghai, everything changed.
Within a short period of time, Su Yang opened an intermediary company for university students and merged with Junqing. Then, he entered artificial intelligence, film, finance, pharmaceutical, and many other industries. On top of that, he was even praised by the country. Furthermore, it was only yesterday that he was exposed to be involved in a bloodbath in Hong Kong with a net worth of 20 billion.
If Su Yang’s previous experience was something that could be achieved by 40 out of 100 people, then the latter story would be worthy of being a legend.
After reading the document, Jia Xiaoqian’s eyes moved, and it was filled with disbelief.
Of course, she knew about Su Yang. Last year, as her Daddy’s assistant, she followed him to the villa at Jiateng Longyuan and found out that Su Yang was the cause of the few deaths there.
‘Even though I haven’t been paying attention to Su Yang’s news, he’s always on the trending searches or news.
‘Moreover, I’m even more aware of what had happened yesterday. He’s a 19-year-old tycoon with a net worth of 20 billion yuan! Furthermore, his looks are... Alright. He’s the real-life version of the domineering CEO in TV dramas.
‘Although I know Su Yang well, I’m still just a bystander who’s only interested in watching the show ensue. So, I haven’t investigated Su Yang to such detail.’
Hence, now that she had a copy of Su Yang’s life experience, she realized that... ‘Su Yang’s life experience is so legendary.’
Seeing that his niece was stunned, Mr. Jia smiled and said, “You’ve seen Mr. Su’s achievements and you’ve also said that there are no superpowers or lot in this world. In that case, wouldn’t this legend who has been able to create such a huge foundation in just a year worth studying and researching?”
Hearing Mr. Jia’s words, Jia Xiaoqian, the straight-A student, finally put away her doubts and nodded seriously. “I understand! I’ll go back and prepare right now, Daddy! I’ll definitely work hard by Mr. Su’s side!”
Hence, Mr. Jia smiled in relief and said, “Alright, I’ve given your resume to Mr. Su, so he should contact me soon. I’ll let you when I do, so you should go back and rest first.”
“Okay, Daddy.”
With that, Jia Xiaoqian stood up and placed the documents back on Mr. Jia’s desk before turning to leave.
When the exquisite wooden door closed from the outside, the smile on Mr. Jia’s face slowly disappeared. Then, he looked at the closed door and his fingers tapped lightly on the documents on the table.
As he tapped, he whispered, “No superpowers or lot eh...
“Then, how talented and capable must this person be to be able to reach this stage within such a short time?
“So, I’d much rather believe in the existence of superpowers than to believe that such people exist.”
“Heh...”
With that, he picked up the documents and placed them into the shredder.
Hearing the sound of the shredder, Mr. Jia closed his eyes and laid on the chair.
“Xiaoqian, you mustn’t think badly of me. After all, I’m doing this for your own good. When I sent you away that time, it was for your own good. However, it’s also for your own good that I’m having you get close to him as well.
“This is an opportunity that many people dream of but can never get...
“You’ll thank me in the future...”
With that, he turned the chair from the door to the window and opened his eyes to look at the scenery outside the window. Then, he sighed and said. “Mr. Su, don’t let me down... Our family’s future depends on you.
“After all, I’m not the only one who suspects you...”
After Little Deeny sent the message, Mr. Jia quickly arranged a time with Little Deeny and arranged for Jia Xiaoqian to go to Su Yang’s villa.
Around 4 pm, Jia Qianqian arrived at the entrance of the villa.
To prevent this girl from being worried since she was going to his house, Su Yang especially called Pan Zhaodi over to receive Jia Xiaoqian at the front door.
Actually, after reading Su Yang’s information, Jia Xiaoqian came to visit Su Yang out of curiosity.
She was smart since she was young and could also be considered as someone else’s child. However, compared to Su Yang, who was the same age as her, it was as if she was literally nothing. Thus, this made her curious about Su Yang, the legendary boy.
Hence, she wanted to see what kind of person he was and what he could teach her.
When she entered the villa area, she followed the security guard all the way to Su Yang’s villa. The person waiting at the door was a woman with an extremely attractive figure yet cold expression.
Although Jia Xiaoqian did not know who she was, she still bowed politely and greeted, “Hello.”.
The woman opposite her nodded and said coldly, “Mr. Su is waiting for you in the villa.”
Then, she opened the door and led Jia Xiaoqian inside.
Walking into the villa, there was a neat lawn in the courtyard. ‘It’s obvious that the owner of this house has very high standards for his quality of living, plus he would have it maintained regularly too.’
Jia Xiaoqian was observing as she followed the beautiful woman to the villa.
The first thing that caught her eye was a large fish tank placed at the front door. The tank was about 10 meters long and several meters wide, filled with water. Inside, there were three white sharks swimming.
Seeing this, Jia Xiaoqian became shocked and her footsteps became staggered.
However, when she saw that the beautiful woman in front of her did not care, she calmed herself down and silently encouraged herself. ‘Xiaoqian! It’s just a few fish! They can’t escape from their tank! Don’t be afraid! Don’t be afraid!”
As he spoke, a slender and muscular leopard with golden fur walked past them with graceful steps.
The moment Xiaoqian saw the leopard, her heart almost jumped out of her chest and She almost screamed.
The only restraint she had left made her hurriedly cover her mouth, forcing her voice back into her throat. However, her pupils were still constricted and her legs could not help but tremble.
Seemingly sensing her fear, the leopard glanced at her sideways with a gaze filled with coldness and arrogance.
When her eyes met the leopard’s, Jia Xiaoqian’s heart thumped so hard that it was about to explode.
Thankfully, the leopard wasn’t interested in her and just sized her up before walking past them with its head held high. Jia Xiaoqian had no idea where it went after that.
Seeing the leopard disappear down the corridor, Jia Xiaoqian almost collapsed to the ground. She felt like all the energy in her body had been sucked out and her legs were weak.
At that moment, a cold voice rang in her ears. “Are you afraid?”
Jia Xiaoqian looked up at the source of the voice and realized that it was the beautiful woman walking in front. Then, she gulped and nodded.
Even though the woman’s face remained expressionless, she patted Jia Xiaoqian lightly on the shoulder as if she was consoling the latter, which made Jia Xiaoqian feel warm inside.
Passing through the corridor, she reached the living room. When she turned the corner, Jia Xiaoqian saw an ordinary-looking young man sitting on the sofa, playing a game while mumbling to himself.
“Little Deeny, the characters that you created for me are quite nice. They look very beautiful.”
“This AI girl is indeed a work of art. She can even make a person look so exquisite. However, I still feel that Home Design and Stranded Deep are more fun than this pretty girl.”
Jia Xiaoqian looked at the screen curiously. ‘It looks like a game about a deserted island, but the female characters are all very beautiful.’
“In the future, you’ll be the one to create the girls and I’ll work on the construction. Let’s work together and try to turn this deserted island into Hawaii!”
“Yes, Master.”
Previously, Su Yang kept mumbling to himself and Jia Xiaoqian thought that he was just bored. However, when she suddenly heard a girl’s voice, she was shocked and looked around quietly.
At that moment, Su Yang looked up at her and said with a smile, “It’s the company’s artificial intelligence that’s talking to me.”
Jia Xiaoqian was shocked again. ‘Artificial intelligence?
‘Is this the world-class artificial intelligence that the public is talking about?
‘Now that I’m looking at it, it does seem very impressive.
‘At the very least, I’ve never heard of a country or company that has managed to develop artificial intelligence to the point where it could create characters in games and communicate with people normally.’
As she thought about this, her interest in working beside Su Yang increased once again. ‘It seems like there are many interesting things happening around this mysterious peer...’
On the other hand, Su Yang did not know what the cute girl in front of him was thinking. Then, he put down the controller in his hand and looked at Pan Zhaodi. “Sister Zhaodi, let me have a chat with Xiaoqian.”
Pan Zhaodi nodded and left the living room to wait at the door, leaving Su Yang and Jia Xiaoqian alone.
Su Yang pointed at the sofa beside him and said to Jia Xiaoqian, “Have a seat.”
Jia Xiaoqian regained her senses and said, “Alright.” After that, she sat on the sofa.
Su Yang then picked up Jia Xiaoqian’s resume from the table and asked, “You graduated from Oxford University?”
Jia Xiaoqian nodded. “Yes.”
Su Yang looked at his resume. “You’ve managed to finish three years of syllabus in just one year? Did you graduate early?”
Jia Xiaoqian nodded again. “Yes.”
Su Yang nodded and said, “You’re a genius then.”
A rare smile appeared on Jia Xiaoqian’s face. “Not really. I just like to study.”
Su Yang recalled the system’s evaluation of Jia Xiaoqian. ‘She really likes to study and she’s good at it. So, it’s normal for her to be able to graduate in a year.’
At that thought, Su Yang put down the resume in his hand and said, “Your uncle has told me about you and I’ve seen your resume as well. To be honest, I admire you.”
A smile appeared on Jia Xiaoqian’s face.
Su Yang said, “That’s why I want you to be my assistant for the time being. Help me coordinate and execute matters regarding the company.”
Startled, Jia Xiaoqian immediately knew that her position was an important one.
So she quickly stood up, bowed, and said, “Thank you for your guidance, Mr. Su. I will work hard.”
Su Yang smiled and stretched out his hand. “It’s fine. I hope that you can prove to me that I have not misjudged you.”
Then, Jia Xiaoqian hurriedly nodded again, wanting to express her loyalty.
At that moment, the phone rang.
Su Yang extended his hand and said to Jia Xiaoqian, “One moment.”
Then, he said to the void, “Answer it.”
Jia Xiaoqian stood obediently by the side and did not say another word.
Then, Su Yang answered the phone and heard an unfamiliar yet familiar voice. “Hello, Mr. Su. I wonder if you still remember me.”
Su Yang asked hesitantly, “You are?”
The female voice said, “I’m Tong Bingqing from the bank’s credit department. I went to your company to meet you previously.”
Then, Su Yang suddenly remembered.
At the time, Chu Xia had not gone to the company to write a novel and this woman had been instructed by Mr. Kong and headed to the company to talk about Su Yang’s savings.
In order to collect her savings, this woman was willing to pay any price, even going so far as to take off her clothes right in front of Su Yang to offer herself to him.
However, Su Yang was a gentleman and rejected her request on the spot. Then, he told her that... They could talk about it later.
However, he did not expect her to actually call again at the time.
Hence, Su Yang replied, “I remember who you are, but I also remember rejecting you.”
Tong Bingqing said, “Yes, you are right. But, I still want to try harder.”
Su Yang asked, “So that you could be promoted to become a manager?”
“Yes.”
Su Yang pondered for a moment. ‘I’ve recently transferred over a billion yuan from Hong Kong to China into a few banks. By ratio, Mr. Kong has exactly 400 million yuan.
‘Hmm... This money is indeed not very commonly used. If I were to convert it into structural savings, would the profit be higher?’
With that thought in mind, Su Yang’s gaze paused on Jia Xiaoqian for a moment before he said, “Alright. Come to my villa later and we’ll talk in person.”
“Okay.”
After hanging up the phone, Su Yang said to Jia Xiaoqian, “Someone will be coming to the bank later. You can receive her and talk to her about the structural deposit.”
Jia Xiaoqian knew that this was Su Yang’s first task for her, so she quickly replied, “Yes, Mr. Su.”
As she said that, the room rang again, causing Su Yang to be stunned. ‘Why’s there another call?
‘Who is it this time?’
Just as Su Yang was thinking about this, Little Deeny’s voice sounded beside his ear. “Master, it’s Miss Chu Xia.”
‘Chu Xia?’
Su Yang’s heart skipped a beat as he actually felt as if he had been caught red-handed.
