Chapter 805 - Viewership Ratings Surpassed Three, Top Five In History
The breakthrough to the Wangs’s problem was the Gold Bull Group that Wang Jiang and his son had mentioned before.
Based on the information from Hangzhou’s boss, the Gold Bull Group and the Wangs were very close.
He used his position to investigate the history of the Gold Bull Group. The former owner of the Gold Bull Group was their chairman, Qiu Shi, who founded the Gold Mill in Yongliu City in Zhejiang Province in 1991.
This factory was very small back then. Its initial registered capital was only 10,000 yuan. But after four years of development, it miraculously became a large corporation with more than 100 million registered capital, turning into the Gold Bull Group.
This speed of development was unheard of. When Su Yang first found out about this, he even suspected that the chairman of this company also had a cheat system.
The value of this 100 million yuan should not be compared to present times. Back in ’95, the average monthly salary was only about 200 yuan, so one could imagine how scary 100 million yuan was.
While the Gold Bull Group was developing rapidly, Wang Jiang was the leader of Yongliu City.
Hence, no one would possibly believe that there was nothing fishy about this.
As Wang Jiang progressed, the Gold Bull Group also expanded.
After 10 years, in 2005, the Gold Bull Group became a major corporation under the jurisdiction of Yellow Horse Shares Co. Ltd., Gold Bull Technology Co. Ltd., Kelly Automobile Co. Ltd, Gold Dragon Gate Co. Ltd, Gold Bull Mold Processing Center, and dozens of other subsidiary companies.
Their business range had expanded from the initial hardware to automobiles, car models, car parts, real estate, tourism, information engineering, import and export.
Following that, with the support of Wang Jiang, the Gold Bull Group created one of the top car brands in the domestic auto industry, Zhongan Automobile. It also received various policies from Zhejiang.
The key information that Zhao Licheng and the bigshot in Hangzhou found was exactly about Zhongan Automobile.
In order for a perfect automobile company to be born from nothing, it required a series of early-stage industrial allocations, which the Gold Bull Group did not have.
Therefore, when he created Zhongan Automobile, Wang Jiang used his identity to help the Gold Bull Group annex many companies in the automobile industry and helped the Gold Bull Group complete the construction of the entire industry chain.
It was not against the rules for a big shot like him to help the industry chain in his territory restructure. Instead, it was a very normal way of management. After all, only by forming an industry chain and having enough competitiveness could he gain an advantage in the changing domestic market.
However, the problem was that this kind of operation could only be possible if it was done fairly. On the other hand, Wang Jiang and the Gold Bull Group’s relationship was definitely not normal.
Su Yang knew from Wang Jiang and Wang Jue’s memories that Wang Jiang was the real mastermind behind the Gold Bull Group. Most of the shares of the Gold Bull Group’s chairman were held on behalf of Wang Jiang.
With this connection, Wang Jiang’s support became his most fatal problem. During this period of time, Hangzhou’s big shot, Old Master Yang, had also obtained some evidence from both parties through his various connections. He had also unexpectedly obtained a more important piece of information.
Not long ago, there was an explosion in the car workshop of the Zhuan Automobile. Three died and six were injured on the spot. This was because the standards of the Zhuan Automobile did not meet the requirements.
However, as the ‘king’ of the entire Zhejiang Province, Wang Jiang suppressed this matter and helped Zhongan Automobile put pressure on the relevant departments to label this incident as a normal accident. This gave someone with ulterior motives a chance.
However, even though he had evidence and evidence now, before he made things difficult for Su Yang, the big boss of Hangcheng, Old Master Yang, suggested to meet Su Yang personally to discuss the details of the collaboration.
Now that the Wangs were Su Yang’s main enemy, Su Yang naturally would not delay anything related to it. Therefore, the next day, Su Yang personally rushed to Hangzhou to meet Master Yang.
In a secret clubhouse, Su Yang met Old Master Yang and realized that Old Master Yang looked like he was only in his fifties. His hair was white, and there were many wrinkles on his face. He had a square face that was slightly plump. He looked very kind. All in all, Su Yang had a good first impression of him and felt that he was a good person.
When Su Yang was sizing up Old Master Yang, Old Master Yang was also doing the same. When Cao Qiguang was involved, Old Master Yang had already heard about Su Yang. He even warned Cao Qiguang not to provoke Su Yang.
Later on, when Cao Qiguang was arrested, Su Yang rose to fame and became a big entrepreneur that the country paid attention to. Old Master Yang had been paying attention to Su Yang as well. However, he had never seen Su Yang before.
Now that they met, Old Master Yang realized that the young man in front of him was younger than he had imagined. If he did not know Su Yang’s identity and Su Yang’s information, he would never have thought that the young man before him was an entrepreneur with a net worth of hundreds of billions of yuan.
Su Yang was dressed very ordinarily that day. He was wearing a decent suit and a pair of brand new leather shoes. His hair was slightly combed, but that could not hide the childish look on his face, making him look like a young man.
Old Master Yang recalled Su Yang’s information and realized that Su Yang was indeed a young man of only 19 years old.
Thinking about his own grandson and granddaughter who were of the same age as Su Yang, Old Master Yang suddenly felt that another person’s child was better indeed...
After dispelling the complicated thoughts in his mind, Old Master Yang reached out his hand and shook Su Yang’s hand. Then, he praised, “You’re young and promising indeed, Mr. Su.”
Su Yang was sick of hearing such words. Ever since he became rich, almost everyone who saw him would praise him like that. Hence, he smiled and said, “You’re much younger than I imagined as well, Old Master Yang.”
Old Master Yang and Su Yang looked at each other and broke into smiles. He pulled Su Yang to a chair and started talking about serious matters. “Zhao Licheng should have told you about the Wangs’s situation.”
Su Yang nodded.
Old Master Yang then revealed his purpose. “I can help you do what you want, but I also want something in return.”
When he heard Old Master Yang’s words, Su Yang knew that it was supposed to be a formal exchange of benefits that day. Hence, he asked bluntly, “What do you want then?”
Old Master Yang dipped his hand in his tea and wrote the word “Wang Jiang” on the table. Then, he tapped it twice. Su Yang tilted his head and looked at the two words in confusion. He did not understand at first but after a while, he understood what Old Master Yang meant. ‘Old Master Yang wants Wang Jiang’s position.’
Old Master Yang was Hangzhou’s big boss and one of the top three big bosses in Zhejiang Province. However, there was an insurmountable gap between him and Wang Jiang. Now, Old Master Yang wanted to use Su Yang’s powers to close that gap.
Su Yang frowned slightly. ‘I can’t make such a promise to Old Master Yang. After all, I’m neither a big shot, nor do I have any special status in Beijing.’
When Old Master Yang saw Su Yang frowning, he did not rush him. Instead, he took a sip of tea and said calmly, “Don’t feel pressured. I’m not asking you to do this on your own.”
He paused and explained, “If Wang Jiang is no longer around, only me and another person can compete for his position. The two of us are on par, but my ranking is lower than that person’s. Plus, I would have interfered in your competition with Wang Jiang, so my ranking might become even lower. Therefore, I need your help and the person who’s backing you up.
“So, this is a very fair thing. I’ll help you settle Wang Jiang’s matters, and you’ll help me too.”
Su Yang nodded to signify that he understood.
The next day, the two of them spent the night at this secret club. They sweated, took baths together, and talked about the country, but they did not talk about the first topic.
Both of them were smart people, and they knew that they had to give each other some time to consider.
The two talked about Cao Qiguang. In Old Yang’s words, Cao Qiguang was a good entrepreneur, but that was all.
Every developing big shot would definitely do economics. After all, economics was the most intuitive ability.
Furthermore, China was a society filled with human compassion. So, when it came to economics, under the same conditions, some policies were more suitable towards a familiar person than a stranger.
Therefore, it was easy to gather a group of entrepreneurs who were on good terms with the big shot, and Cao Qiguang was one of them.
Therefore, when he heard that Cao Qiguang had gone astray and was investigated, Old Master Yang felt that it was a pity.
In fact, he would not misunderstand Su Yang because of this.
After settling everything, the meeting that day ended. Su Yang rushed back to Shanghai that very night and returned to his hotel.
Back in the hotel room, Su Yang entered the virtual space.
In the virtual space, Little Deeny, Little Hus, and Zhao Licheng were all waiting. Obviously, they had been watching everything that happened between Su Yang and Old Master Yang through their phones.
Su Yang sat in front of the little monsters and asked, “Do you have any thoughts?”
Zhao Licheng first looked at Little Deeny, then looked at Little Hus. He realized that the two of them didn’t have any desire to answer. Then, he hesitated for a moment and said, “Mr. Su, I feel like we need to work with Old Master Yang.”
Su Yang looked at him without any change in expression. “Your reason being?”
After obtaining Su Yang’s agreement, Zhao Licheng said, “Based on my understanding of that industry, if we were to submit the evidence to the relevant departments, the outcome would most likely be that it would get suppressed. Or we could turn the matter into a small matter.
“After all, the person we’re going to deal with is the Wangs, and also the King Of Zhejiang. With their status and power in the country, if they don’t have someone of the same level to deal with them, they will be invincible.
“So, only someone like Old Master Yang would use their internal channels to attack Wang Jiang. Only then would Wang Jiang receive a fatal blow.
“Based on this perspective, Old Master Yang is a critical requirement for us.”
Zhao Licheng looked at Su Yang and said after some deliberation, “Or rather, within our options, Old Master Yang is the simplest and most direct option for us.
“Also, we should not be held back by the Wangs, who are just minor characters.”
Su Yang nodded thoughtfully.
If anyone else had heard this conversation, they would have been shocked beyond words. After all, the Wangs were one of the most powerful forces in the country. However, Zhao Licheng had literally just referred to them being minor characters.
More importantly, none of them noticed anything wrong with the statement.
After all, in their hearts, their opponent was the world’s overlord, an absolute ruler, and not a family that could only lurk in Zhejiang Province.
After figuring this out, Su Yang decided to work with Old Master Yang.
However, Su Yang still had a headache over how to satisfy Old Master Yang’s request.
Because Su Yang didn’t know much about the industry, he decided to consult a professional.
Of course, Jiang Chi was the most professional around Su Yang.
Therefore, after calling Jiang Chi and confirming that she had returned to Shanghai, Su Yang took the initiative to meet her.
Because their relationship was rather established, they did not meet up at a formal venue. Instead, they arranged to meet at the bar that they first met at... The Lamoda Bar.
It was still that popular bar filled with fresh flowers and a pink princess atmosphere. Although it was still the same bar, Su Yang and Jiang Chi were completely different at that moment...
That night, no one knew how their conversation went. All that was known was that Su Yang left the bar with a smile.
After leaving the bar, Su Yang returned to the virtual space to discuss with the little monsters. After confirming that his thoughts were alright, Su Yang sent a message to Old Master Yang’s phone. There was nothing else, just one word. ‘Sure’.
The next two weeks were like the calm before the storm.
After stabilizing the viewership ratings for a period of time, it continued to rise. On the 11th day of its release, the viewership ratings for the 23 episodes reached three points!
There were more than 70 episodes of “Legend Of Wu Zetian”, which meant that its ratings would definitely be higher than three.
This was also the television series with the highest viewership ratings in recent years. In the entire history of television dramas, it was ranked in the top five.
This made Mango TV beam with joy. Recently, they had been receiving so many advertisements that they were starting to broadcast television dramas in their advertisements...
The popularity of “Legend Of Wu Zetian” was directly influenced by the actors in the show. Not to mention Han Yi, just the few supporting actresses in the show had directly jumped from being unknown to a B-list celebrity.
Outside of the drama, the gossip and spoilers of these actors were also trending. It was as if they would become famous as long as they were associated with the “Legend Of Wu Zetian”.
On that very day, photos of a few contracts were on the trending search...
