Chapter 844 - Trump Card
“We originally wanted to enter the Japanese market. However, we did not have a good entry point. Now that they’re planning to lure us in, they’re going to pave the way for us.”
“When we develop in Japan, we have to thank them openly while we develop. We have to let all the companies in Japan know that they brought us into this market.”
“When we take over Japan’s market, they won’t be able to explain themselves. Haha.”
At this point, Su Yang could not help but smile. It was as if he could see a scene where Yagawa Masaru would not be able to explain himself.
Little Deeny laughed as well before saying softly, “Master, you’re so bad.”
Su Yang glanced at her and felt that what Little Deeny said was weird. It did not sound like a proper sentence.
After deciding on his plan, Su Yang flipped through the remaining information that Little Deeny had compiled. After making sure that there was nothing worth paying attention to, he instructed Little Deeny to use the [Eye Of Origins] to keep an eye on those who mentioned him.
In the previous half a year, Su Yang had bought all the coins that he had earned and added points onto [Liquid Metal Avatar] as a bargaining chip to modify his ability.
Therefore, he changed the ability of [Eye Of Origins], [Descent].
The revised ability [Descent], according to the original concept, changed the word “Su Yang” to “Su Yang”. As long as Su Yang was mentioned, regardless of whether it was “him”, “Mr. Su”, “that person”, or any other synonym, [Descent] could be triggered.
This allowed the [Eye Of Origins]’s monitoring ability to reach its peak. As long as someone mentioned Su Yang in the world, Little Deeny would receive a notification. No one would be able to cause the ability to fail by bypassing Su Yang’s knowledge with certain words.
However, this also increased the amount of information that was processed. For example, during the two hours that the World’s Billionaire List was released, because the whole world was talking about Su Yang, Little Deeny’s doppelgangers could not handle such a huge amount of information.
Luckily, Little Deeny was at +5, and had many doppelgangers, so she could still handle it. If Su Yang had asked Little Deeny to deal with this information before she became +5, Little Deeny would have exploded.
After completing the [Eye Of Origins], Su Yang’s plan to go to the world was officially completed.
In the next few days, Su Yang stayed in the virtual space and worked on the most crucial technology in his Outer Sea Project. It was also the key technology that Zhao Licheng was confident that he could take over the Japanese market....
When there was no news from Su Yang’s house, the tycoons and big shots who were paying attention to Su Yang were shocked.
Generally speaking, Su Yang, who had just entered the top of the World’s Billionaires List, had always been the darling of the media, various places, universities, and national departments.
In particular, Su Yang’s net worth had increased too quickly. He was already the talk of the town, so there should be a lot of news reports about him. However, in the past week, other than a few official media outlets reporting Su Yang’s deeds and some netizens discussing Su Yang, there was no other news about Su Yang.
There were no scandals, negative news, or even positive news. Su Yang was like an old tycoon who had been free of all media relations.
This conjecture was not without reason. After all, if there was no news about Su Yang because they were afraid of Su Yang’s legal team, but if there was no news about Su Yang’s family, relatives, or friends, then there was definitely something wrong.
If someone had not specially greeted them, no one would have believed it.
These tycoons and big shots were actually right.
After leaving Jiang Yan’s office, Su Yang called Li Zijun to the office and told her about the situation. He also told her that she had to do her PR.
As a three-star talent, Li Zijun’s abilities were not for nothing. After receiving Su Yang’s instructions, she started to use her connections and resources to contact all the media in the country.
Previously, because Li Zijun had to deal with the rumor about “Wandering Planet”, she had already established a connection with the media. None of the media had gotten any benefits from Li Zijun, so when they contacted her, all the media outlets were shocked. They did not know how they had provoked this malefic person.
As soon as Li Zijun told them about the matter and explained it to them, the media immediately understood Su Yang and Li Zijun’s intentions. Before Su Yang’s influence disappeared, they did not dare to reject him. Hence, all of them agreed.
Li Zijun was not only threatening these media outlets. After some discussion, she visited the media outlets one by one, made some connections, negotiated a collaboration, and gave some gifts to the person-in-charge, chief editor, and so on.
Li Zijun’s big stick and carrot tactic made all the influential media outlets submit to her immediately. With these two interactions, Li Zijun established deep connections and cooperation with these media outlets.
This was also the reason why Su Yang’s ranking on the World’s Billionaire List was released. All the media gave positive reports.
It was because of Su Yang and Li Zijun.
As for the private lives of Su Yang’s parents, relatives, and friends, no one dug them up because of Li Zijun.
Since the media did not dig into it, without first-hand information, there were no related reports online.
The remaining posts on Tieba and forums were too low in influence. Other than spreading in small circles, they could not spread.
In the small circle, due to Su Yang’s legal team’s deterrence, the platform would deal with any negative cases that came their way.
Hence, even though Su Yang was the fourth richest man in the country, there were no news reports about him and his friends.
Su Yang’s method of taking drastic measures to deal with the problem could be considered to have been done to perfection, and many people did not expect it.
In Shencheng, Brother Ma waited for a few days but did not notice Su Yang’s mess. He was also amazed.
He sat in his office and looked at Su Yang’s recent news reports and related information on the table. He smiled and said to the person opposite him, “This is incredible. Mr. Su is so mature that he’s like an old monster.”
The person opposite him was Tencent’s CTO, the 11th richest man in the country, Zhang Zhidong.
Even though Zhang Zhidong was already one of the richest men in the country, his lifestyle was no different from that of a technician.
He had a crew cut and was wearing a checkered shirt and a pair of gold-rimmed glasses. He looked like a gentleman, and he had the honest look that only programmers had.
Hearing Brother Ma say that, he replied nonchalantly, “Nothing happened to me back then.”
Brother Ma was speechless before he angrily said, “You didn’t meet with any problems because we both entered the rankings at the same time. So, you had me in front, while all your news were handled by the company as well.”
Then, Brother Ma added, “There’s no such thing as peace in life. It’s just someone carrying the weight for you.”
Zhang Zhidong stopped talking.
He was not interested in this.
Brother Ma also knew his old partner’s personality, so after rolling his eyes at him, he ignored him and continued reading the information.
As he watched, he commented, “I saw the news from Shanghai. Little Su is really awesome. During this period of time, he was clearly at his peak. In the end, not only did he not go to the company, he did not even show his face publicly. I heard that he had been staying in his new villa. I wonder what he was doing.”
“This kind of personality and way of dealing with things is really a good choice. If only we could have a good chat and work together. With his help, I believe our group will grow faster from overseas.”
Zhang Zhidong glanced at Brother Ma and slapped him in the face. “Do you really think that after working with him, he will be the one supporting you?”
Brother Ma was speechless.
Brother Ma felt that he could not continue chatting.
At that moment, in the same courtyard, under the cherry blossom tree in Osaka, Japan...
Yagawa Masaru, the richest man in Japan in his seventies, was still drinking tea. Opposite him was another old man.
The old man poured a cup of tea for Yagawa Masaru and said, “Yagawa-san, there’s a reply from Jiadian Group.”
“Oh?” Yagawa Masaru raised his head and asked curiously, “How did you reply?”
The old man said, “They don’t seem very interested in coming to Japan. They say... the market in Japan is too small.”
“Heh.” Yagawa Masaru scoffed. “Is Japan’s market small? Japan is one of the top five markets in the world. Our annual GDP is in the world’s top 3.”
“And... How many markets are bigger than China? There’s only one! So, is he planning to go directly to America?”
The old man asked, “Then, what does he mean?”
Yagawa Masaru waved his hand nonchalantly. “It’s just an ordinary speaking skill. First, use uninterestedness to probe and lower the price. Then, they would wait and see what our offer is.”
Realization dawned on the old man. “Then we...”
Yagawa Masaru picked up his tea and took a sip. His old eyes were filled with calculation. “We will beat him at his own game. We can raise more conditions and make him proud and complacent. He will think that his schemes were successful.
“Initially, I was worried that this Su Yang would be bold and careful. For safety reasons, he would develop towards Korea.
“But from the looks of it, it’s really a case of being blinded by greed.
“He really wants to enter our market, which is the world’s third largest.”
The old man poured more tea for Yagawa Masaru and asked, “You don’t think he should come to Japan?”
Yagawa Masaru nodded. “Of course.
“Because... Asia has a better market for him than us: Korea.
“Korea is one of the top markets in the world. Their GDP is around 10th. The few companies are all high-tech, and the core industries have electronic components, mobile phones, and so on. That’s why it’s very compatible with the Jiadian Group.
“After all, they have the world’s leading glass phone. After they head over to Korea, it would be like a strike to the heart.
“But now... He’s so ambitious that he wants to come to Japan.
“The main industry of Japan is not cell phones or electronic components. Even if he manages to take over the market, he will only take over the company shares of countries like America and Korea. It will not affect us.
“He can’t even analyze such a simple issue. I’m very disappointed in him.”
The old man thought for a while and said, “Maybe he just feels that Korea is the main battlefield of the Samsung Group and wants to expand our cell phone market?”
Yagawa Masaru smiled and shook his head. “That’s too optimistic. Our country is much more complicated than Korea’s. Also... Since we’re going to be the ones to bring him in, of course we won’t give him a chance to enter the cell phone industry.
“Therefore, we are basically invincible.”
The old man nodded with a smile.
Then he thought about it and said, “That makes sense. The complicated situation in our country is not something an outsider can sort out. Furthermore, the phone industry has no influence on us.
“The only thing that can affect our country is the automobile industry...
Yagawa Masaru smiled and nodded.
At the same time, Su Yang and Zhao Licheng were chatting in the virtual space about their plan to enter Japan.
Su Yang replied, “So our target is their automobile industry, right?”
Zhao Licheng replied, “That’s right, Mr. Su. The starting point is Japan’s automobile industry. After the year 1970, Japan’s automobile industry developed rapidly and soon replaced the steel industry as the pillar of the industry. According to our statistics, the car industry accounts for 45-50% of Japan’s economy every year. It’s the true leading industry in Japan.
“Four of the top 10 companies in Japan are car companies: Mitsubishi, Nissan, Toyota, Honda.
“Furthermore, the financial market in Japan is open. For Wei Lin (Su Yang’s top investor), it’s practically an unguarded place.
“Therefore, as long as we can overturn their automobile industry, we can use this influence to weaken and collapse this industry. This will then affect Japan’s entire stock market.
“When that time comes, it will be a piece of cake to empty out Japan’s stock market and massacre them.”
Su Yang nodded slightly.
‘Although Zhao Licheng’s words are simple, his plan is very detailed.’
In the plan that he submitted to Su Yang, every step and every possible issue that might arise was listed on it.
He even predicted that Wei Lin would empty the stock market and attract the attention of Japan. That was also the reason why Su Yang summoned the Clown Sea Serpent back to Japan.
Naturally, since Japan’s automobile industry had such a large share in Japan’s economy, it also meant that it was powerful. There were many countries in the world that wanted to challenge Japan’s automobile companies, but most of them did not stand to gain.
Therefore, to defeat them, he needed a trump card.
This trump card was... A large-scale graphene battery.
At that moment, Su Yang and Zhao Licheng were chatting in an empty space in the virtual space. In front of them, a large building was slowly rising from the ground.
The building had a prototype design, and the logo on it was the [Graphene Battery Production Factory].
