Chapter 649: Chu Xia Is Here to Write a Novel Again
At that moment, Su Yang would add points whether he’s happy or unhappy.
‘Adding points has become a way for me to adjust my mood and it has also become an essential part of my life.’
With that thought in mind, Su Yang started working on it.
He first opened the system store and looked at the items that were available for that week.
[Random Point]*4
[Bronze Point]*0
[Guardian Talisman]*88
[Recipe Item: RMB Of Unknown Abilities (+3) / Capsule Of Unknown Abilities (+3)]
[Random Prize Voucher]: None
[Lucky Stone]: 0
‘The Lucky Stones and Bronze Points have all been bought, plus the Random Prize Vouchers have not been refreshed yet.’
Therefore, he opened the first recipe item, [RMB Of Unknown Abilities].
The ingredients for this recipe were a little special. Other than the necessary+3 item, it only required paper, pen and a set of colored pencils.
‘It looks like I’m going to be creating some art.’
Su Yang clicked on the production video and realized that it was exactly what he had expected. He was going to be drawing.
However, the drawing he was going to be making was a little special. ‘I’ve got to draw a red coloured currency.
‘The system is actually asking me to draw a 100 yuan banknote!
‘Furthermore, the production process this time is different from usual. There are no steps to follow, but there’s an additional test criteria. I can only be considered to have obtained a pass if I manage to draw the banknote with a 60% similarity to the original banknote.’
Su Yang was shocked.
‘I’ve never seen such a difficult requirement before.
‘I’m supposed to draw an actual banknote with 60% similarity to a genuine banknote!
‘Well... It’s going to be tough to do it unless I’m a professional, isn’t it?’
‘However, it’s exactly these kinds of interesting production processes that make me interested.’
‘So, why don’t I give it a try?
‘Let’s do this!’
With that thought in mind, Su Yang found a parking spot by the roadside and parked his car. Then, he walked into the supermarket and bought the paper, pen and colored pencils that he needed before driving back to the villa.
When he got home, Tang Xiaomi and Tang Jing were not there. ‘They’re spending less and less time at home nowadays...’
In the past, the two of them would have stayed at home, but now, Tang Jing would come up with an excuse to say that she was working late. Furthermore, Xiaomi had to go to kindergarten the next day, so they ended up staying in the city.
‘It feels like Tang Jing is trying her best to leave my life in the gentlest way possible.’
As for the reason why she would do that, Su Yang knew it very well.
She merely thought that she would create unnecessary trouble for Su Yang if she stayed at his house. For example, Su Yang would definitely have to look for a girlfriend in the future. Then, if his girlfriend came home and found out that there were two women, no matter how magnanimous his girlfriend was, she could not possibly accept it.
Of course, Tang Jing had her own selfish motives as well.
Sometimes, keeping a distance with someone would not necessarily make them grow apart, but keep the best parts of their time together. If they had continued to stay together, Tang Jing and Su Yang might slowly start to have conflicts due to some small issues in life.
However, if they were separated for a period of time, they would only remember the good memories they had of each other.
Furthermore, she was not afraid that she would drift further and further away from Su Yang. After all, the two of them had a company named after the both of them, so they could find many reasons to meet each other just by using official matters as an excuse.
Therefore, she was able to leave some space for the both of them with ease.
After dispelling all those nonsensical thoughts from his mind, Su Yang entered the virtual space and sat down by the dining table.
Then, he asked Little Deeny to send him a 100 yuan banknote and placed it on the table. He then called Spirit Building over and asked her to continue observing the stages of him creating the recipe item. Then, he started to officially create this recipe item.
Since there were no steps to the creation of the recipe, Su Yang did not open the system for reference. Instead, he picked up the pen on the table and started to draw.
When he was drawing the notes, Su Yang felt that he was on a roll. If he were to play an ambitious background music, he would be able to film a movie about how fake banknotes are being produced.
Then, time continued to pass by slowly. Initially Su Yang already had a feeling that the recipe item would be very difficult to create. However, after he started drawing, he realized that... It was even harder than he expected!
After two hours, Su Yang felt so tired that his hands were sore. He looked at the drawing that looked similar to Grandpa Mao on the paper and checked it with the system shop.
[Similarity Rate: 12%]
Su Yang was speechless.
‘It’s only 12% similar?!’
Su Yang felt a little hopeless because he knew what he lacked to fulfill the remaining 88%... Its details.
Initially, he thought that it would be fine if his drawing was 60% similar to the actual thing. However, he did not expect for it to have such a high requirement towards details...
Su Yang looked at the piece of paper that he had finished drawing and decided to throw it aside. ‘I’m going to rest for a while and then take my time as I continue to draw again later!’
After throwing his drawing and drawing tools on the dining table for the time being, Su Yang walked out of the castle gate. He then took out his A-Ranked Silver Ability [Sealing Frame] and continued to take more pictures to cultivate his spiritual energy.
In the end, he had only taken three pictures when his phone’s ringtone rang by his ear.
“Little Deeny? Who’s that calling me?”
Little Deeny’s response was very timely. “Master, it’s Ms. Chu Xia.”
‘Oh? Chu Xia?’
Su Yang answered the phone happily. “Hello? Ms. Secretary, what can I do for you?”
Chu Xia, who was on the other end of the phone, seemed to have had something pleasant happen to her as she said, “Su Yang, guess how many subjects you failed in your exams?”
Su Yang said, “What?”
Chu Xia quickly corrected herself, “No, no. Guess how many marks you scored?”
Su Yang was speechless.
‘You’ve already said that I’ve failed the test, so how many marks can I possibly get?’
Su Yang probed, “More than 50?”
On the other end of the line, Chu Xia gave a tinkling laugh. “Guess how many subjects you scored more than 50 points?”
Su Yang was speechless.
‘How many subjects have I actually failed?
‘However... That’s not right. I should be fine with my exams, shouldn’t I?’
Su Yang pondered for a moment. ‘I think that I’m pretty good at my studies. Plus, I’ve been doing some last minute revision for a long time during those few days. So, I shouldn’t have failed...’
Perhaps sensing that Su Yang was pondering, Chu Xia smiled and said, “You can’t guess it, can you? Here it is, you haven’t failed a single subject.”
Su Yang was confused.
‘Is this girl trying to make fun of me?’
Su Yang rolled his eyes and pretended to be helpless. “You’re such a bore... If you’re really that free, can’t you learn from the other girls? They would ride their bicycles for five to six kilometers just to deliver food that they’ve personally made to me. Now that’s what makes me happy.”
Once Su Yang said that, Chu Xia immediately became nervous and asked, “Who’s that? Who’s the one who has treated you so nicely by bringing you food?”
Su Yang smiled. “The food delivery aunt.”
Then, Su Yang added, “Actually, that aunt is quite warm and friendly. However, her delivery charges are just a little too expensive.”
“Pfft.” Chu Xia was immediately amused by Su Yang. After laughing, she cajoled and said. “You’re such a bore, you even told me a joke.”
Su Yang replied, “Aren’t you the same? You’ve been teasing me for so long already.”
Chu Xia continued to smile like a bell. “I’m willing to tease you, what are you going to do about it?”
Their relationship had always been like this. They were more than friends, but they were not in a relationship yet. However, they would feel happy whenever they talked about any topics. In fact, they would even talk about topics that might seem awkward or boring to outsiders, but were very interesting to them.
‘Perhaps this is what it means by the topic of the conversation isn’t important, but who it’s discussed with, isn’t it?’
After chatting for a while, Su Yang finally remembered why Chu Xia called him. “Ms. Secretary, are you trying to scare me when the results aren’t even released yet?”
Chu Xia said proudly, “That’s right, what’s wrong? Did your heart skip a beat just now?”
It was rare for Su Yang to say such flirtatious words. “How would I know whether you were trembling or not, why don’t you ask yourself that question?”
Chu Xia’s face immediately turned red.
The girl’s shyness made her choose to change the topic and get down to business. “Actually, I’m not calling just to tease you. I just wanted to tell you that now that we’re about to go on our holiday. Can I go to your company to write novels like I did during the summer break?”
Because Chu Xia already knew Su Yang’s secret, Su Yang asked directly, “Do you want me to use my special tools to help you again?”
“Yes, that’s right,” Chu Xia said, “My readers are currently urging me to update every day. I’ve already used up all my previous chapter reserves and my inspiration is starting to dry up. So I’ve ended up owing a lot of updates.”
Su Yang was willing to fulfill Chu Xia’s small request, hence he said, “Alright then. Tell me when you’re ready to start writing then.”
Chu Xia said, “Why not today?”
Su Yang looked at his watch, it was already 2 pm. ‘It’s a little late...’
Chu Xia probably sensed Su Yang’s reluctance. Hence, she said pitifully and cutely, “Please... Please...”
Su Yang could not help but imagine the way she clasped her hands together and looked at him with her big, watery eyes. Hence, his heart softened and he agreed. “Alright then, it just so happens that I’m planning to do some drawing as well. Let’s do it together then.”
“Thank you, Mr. CEO! Muack...” Chu Xia sent him a flying kiss.
Su Yang chuckled.
Since it was Chu Xia who had invited him, Su Yang stopped taking photos. Instead, he went back to the dining table and picked up the unfinished drawings of the banknotes before driving to Hi-Tech Park.
Su Yang was quite famous in Hi-Tech Park at that moment. When he arrived at the entrance, the guards let them in without him even having to show his identification.
All Su Yang had to do was wave his hand as a form of greeting the guards.
He then arrived at the parking spot that Pan Zhaodi had found for him in advance and went upstairs with her after parking the car.
Usually, when Su Yang did not “summon” Pan Zhaodi, she would usually work at Jiadian E-Commerce Company as the chairman’s secretary.
Her work was very leisurely as well. Most of the time, she dealt with all kinds of information and filtered out only the useful information to Su Yang. Therefore, her position in the company was very high.
To be honest, a chairman’s secretary and a chairman’s assistant are both considered to be senior executives of any company, so it’s only normal for her to have a high status.
When he arrived upstairs. Chu Xia had already arrived at the company and was chatting with the female seniors from Jiadian E-Commerce whom she had gotten to know of when she worked at the company that summer.
Chu Xia stood up with a smile when she saw Su Yang. Then, she waved at Su Yang across half of the office. “Mr. CEO, you’ve arrived.”
Her smile was beautiful, like the most beautiful scenery in Shanghai during spring.
Her smile was infectious as well. All Su Yang had to do was look at her and he smiled. “Yeap, I’ve arrived. Long time no see.”
