Chapter 912 - Being Secretive
While the Clown Sea Serpent went to fetch Salaman, Su Yang was in the virtual space with Little Deeny, studying Salaman’s information.
Little Deeny had a serious expression on her face. She looked like he could not suppress her thought and there was even a trace of concern as she said to Su Yang. “Master, this Prince Salaman isn’t a simple person. Do we really have to work with him?”
“Oh? Is that so?” Su Yang replied while looking at Salaman’s information.
Part of the information was collected by Little Deeny from the internet, and another part was gathered by the Clown Sea Serpent’s intelligence network. However, no matter which part of the information it was, Salaman did not come out of it as a decent person. After all, he did not do anything good.
For example, in recent years, he had imprisoned his own mother and forced the former Crown Prince of Salabar to retreat.
Su Yang looked through the information and realized that Salaman was indeed a dangerous person.
Salaman did not have the right to inherit, because Salabar’s normal inheritance system was based on the Agnatic Seniority method.
Therefore, after his father ascended to the throne, he had been assisting his father in managing the country. He had whispered in his father’s ear that the succession system of Salabar was outdated, and that allowing his child to inherit the throne was the normal system for each kingdom.
After his mother found out about this, she thought that her son was playing with fire, and it was very likely to cause internal strife within Salabar, so she objected.
In the end... Very quickly, Salaman placed her under house arrest under the pretext of “going to the country with the White-Headed Eagle to treat hier illness.” This was something that even the king of Salabar knew nothing about.
However, even though he had placed his mother under house arrest and could then continue to whisper into his father’s ear, he still did not become the crown prince.
In order to avoid a backlash, the king of Salabar abolished the succession system. The first heir was Salaman’s cousin, the nephew of the Salabar king.
This decision was not hard to understand. It was a test for the domestic forces, and it was also a means of retreat for himself from politics.
However, Salaman did not think so. He believed that his cousin had stolen his position, so he framed him. In the end, he took his cousin down for treason and sent him to prison. In the end, he became the crown prince as he wished.
After he became the crown prince, he went through a series of reforms to change the image of himself in the country. He lifted the ban on cinemas, entertainment cities, nightclubs, and other entertainment venues. He increased the rights of women in Salabar as well.
Then, as his popularity grew, he took the chance to come up with a big plan for the future development of a country called the “Vision Of The Future”.
The plan was actually very simple.
Salabar’s main financial income now was oil mining and its sales. But oil was not a sustainable source, after all. Sooner or later it would be depleted and sold out. So Salaman decided to let Salabar undergo a complete transformation, to learn from the successful experience of his neighbor Dubai, to develop tourism and get involved in some advanced technologies.
To realize this plan, he needed a lot of money, and this was when the Clown Sea Serpent contacted him.
At the time, although Jiadian Group had yet to acquire Samsung, they had already gained a huge reputation in the world due to the Japan incident. Furthermore, they were a tycoon that held a huge amount of cash.
So, if he collaborated with Jiadian Group, Salaman’s “Vision Of The Future” plan would undoubtedly succeed.
Once the plan succeeded, as the person who proposed and implemented the plan, Salaman’s contributions and reputation would rise to a very high level.
Especially since this plan was related to Salabar’s future. As the leader of the project, it was only natural that he would take the throne.
After reading through the information, Su Yang pondered for a while before writing down the comments... ‘An ambitious person with certain tactics’.
After chatting with Little Deeny about Salaman’s personality and his way of doing things, Su Yang received a message from the Clown Sea Serpent saying that Salaman had arrived in the virtual space and was waiting in front of the castle.
Su Yang stood up and patted Little Deeny’s shoulder before saying, “Let’s go. Let us welcome this prince together.”
Although most of the countries on Earth had already entered modern society, due to various historical issues, some areas were still under feudal rule. Central Asia was obviously such a region.
Once they left the castle, Su Yang saw Salaman in a white robe.
When Su Yang saw Salaman, the latter saw the former as well. He took a glance at the Clown Sea Serpent and stepped forward. He bowed to Su Yang with Salabar’s feudal etiquette and said, “Hello, Mr. Su.”
Even though he addressed Su Yang as “Mr. Su”, his etiquette was no different from an audience with the king. From this, one could tell how he treated Su Yang.
Su Yang nodded slightly. He felt that the person in front of him was not as hateful as the information stated.
Of course, Su Yang also knew that Salaman used such formal etiquette not because he was rich, but because of the miracles that the Clown Sea Serpent had shown him.
In his heart, Su Yang’s image had long been blurred and elevated.
Therefore, even though he was not as gullible as Yemen’s national management, he still treated Su Yang very seriously.
Su Yang had already come up with a plan when he read Salaman’s information. He nodded and said, “Follow me.”
When Salaman saw that Su Yang did not treat him warmly but with a condescending attitude, he did not feel insulted. Instead, he treated Su Yang with more respect.
He quickly replied, “Ok.”
As soon as he finished speaking, he felt the scene before him change. By the time he came back to his senses, Su Yang and the rest had already arrived at the beach.
Even though he had been dragged into the virtual space by the Clown Sea Serpent, there was still a process. However, at that moment, there were no processes involved and Salaman had travelled to another location without even realizing. At that moment, Salaman could feel a cold sweat trickling down his back.
Su Yang walked to the beach and said to Salaman without turning back, “I heard that you want money to develop Salabar?”
Salaman hurried after him. “Yes, that’s correct,” he said respectfully.
Su Yang waved his hand and a drink appeared in his and Salaman’s hands.
Su Yang took a sip and said, “Money is good and all, but it’s not the best.”
Salaman kept silent.
He was slightly against it. ‘If it isn’t the best thing, why would someone like you, who has divine power, work so hard to earn money?’
However, Su Yang seemed to be able to read his thoughts and explained, “Because this is a game. You don’t understand how lonely we are. It’s only by playing an interesting game can I resolve my worries.”
Salaman’s heart lurched..
He had a feeling that Su Yang could read minds.
Su Yang turned to look at him and smiled.
Salaman felt that Su Yang’s gaze was extremely penetrating, as if he had seen through his inner thoughts and admitted what he was thinking.
He kept his thoughts to himself, afraid that he would say something that would anger the man.
Even though he did not know who Su Yang was, he knew that he could not afford to offend him.
Just like what the Clown Sea Serpent had said, Su Yang was the spokesperson for the Lord who came to this world. Actually, Salaman did not believe that. As a wise ruler who had been nurtured since he was young, he was extremely familiar with the foolish policies of the people. Therefore, he naturally would not believe such brainwashing.
He was more inclined to believe that the Clown Sea Serpent and Su Yang were mutants.
However, after meeting Su Yang that day, his view of the world seemed to be slowly crumbling.
For the next hour or so, Su Yang used a gentle tone to chat with him about the current situation in Central Asia and Salabar. However, Salaman felt more and more pressured.
That was because he had witnessed all kinds of miracles from Su Yang in the past hour. The ability to change the world with a wave of his hand and summon lightning with his fingers made him feel like he was looking at a true God.
During the conversation, Su Yang did not say anything to make Salaman side with him. However, Salaman felt that if he did not show his loyalty, he would disappear from this world very soon.
However, before he left, Su Yang dispelled his worries.
Su Yang said, “Salaman, you know that there are some things that should not be seen nor said, don’t you?”
Salaman quickly said, “Mr. Su, I understand what you mean. I won’t tell anyone what I’ve seen or heard here today.”
Su Yang smiled and nodded. “Actually, you won’t be able to tell anyone anyway.”
Salaman looked at Su Yang in confusion, not knowing what Su Yang meant.
Su Yang said, “Why don’t we make a bet? If you can tell me what you saw and heard today within a week, it’ll be my loss.”
Salaman looked at Su Yang in shock. He did not know if Su Yang was being sarcastic or testing him.
He wanted to express his loyalty again, but Su Yang only patted his shoulder and said to the Clown Sea Serpent, “Go on, send him away.”
Su Yang did not say anything else and disappeared from their sight.
In order to act mysterious in front of Salaman, Su Yang had used many special abilities and special items. Therefore, he had to act cool to the end.
Salaman was at a loss as he watched Su Yang disappear before him. He looked at the Clown Sea Serpent and said, “Brother Serpent, this...”
The Clown Sea Serpent smiled and said, “It’s fine. Let’s talk outside.”
With that, he left the virtual space with Salaman and returned to Salaman’s quarters.
In Salaman’s quarters, the Clown Sea Serpent said, “Brother Salaman, since the Master has asked you to do it, you should just follow.”
Salaman asked in confusion, “Does Mr. Su intend on exposing himself?”
A mysterious, inscrutable smile appeared on the Clown Sea Serpent’s face as well. “You underestimate the Master’s power. He is the messenger of God.”
Salaman really did not understand what was going on, or why they were being so secretive.
He had seen and heard them personally. He had even eaten some of Su Yang’s food. Most of all, his mouth was his own, so how could the other party control what he could or could not say?
‘I’ve already said that I wouldn’t leak a word about it, but he didn’t seem to care at all. Furthermore, he even said that I wouldn’t be able to say anything even if I wanted to.
‘What’s going on?
‘However, since he’s already given me such a request, perhaps I should give it a try.
‘In fact...’
Salaman thought about it carefully and felt that since he was going to experiment on the matter, it was best to do a checkup on himself.
Because what he had seen in the last hour was so shocking, he started to wonder if he had fallen into some kind of trap that caused illusions.
‘Maybe I never left my room, and that it was all an act by the Clown Sea Serpent...’
After sending the Clown Sea Serpent away, Salaman called his team of doctors in the middle of the night and performed a detailed full-body checkup on himself.
The results were out very quickly.
The result was unexpected because Salaman not only did not have any problems, he was also very healthy.
After all, Salaman was over 30 years old, which was not considered a young age anymore, plus his body had all sorts of problems. In the past, every time he did a physical examination, Salaman’s body would always have problems, but this time, he had miraculously recovered.
Salaman was momentarily distracted by the news.
‘I’ve become healthier?
‘Could it be because I was living in that magical space?
‘Or could it be that the food that Su Yang gave me could cure all diseases?’
At the thought of food, Salaman had the doctor perform a gastroscopy on him. There were quite a lot of food residues inside.
This led Salaman to believe that he might have been moved into a real space and not been hypnotized.
After chasing away his team of doctors, Salaman sat in his room for a long time, pondering over Su Yang’s question.
The more he thought about it, the more amazed he became.
He felt that perhaps he had really met God.
When Salaman thought about how Su Yang told him to tell everyone what he had seen today, he was moved. ‘Perhaps I should try following what he said. Perhaps something magical might happen?’
With that in mind, he thought about it for a while. Then he took out a pen and paper from the drawer and prepared to conduct his first experiment. He wrote down what he saw and was going to show it to others. Telling them that it was a scene that he had dreamed of. This way, it would be easier for him to either move forward or retreat.
With that thought, he quickly wrote down everything that he had seen in the virtual world.
When he was done, he looked up and realized that the paper that he had originally written had turned blank.
Forget words, not even an imprint from him writing down with his pen could be seen!
Instantly, Salaman broke out in cold sweat.
He suddenly stood up and quickly scanned the room. Then, he began to look around the room, trying to find the invisible person who had “erased” his handwriting...
