Chapter 631: A Strange Donation
Bubbles pouted indignantly. However, Su Yang was her master after all and she had to listen to his orders. Hence, she could only reply with an “Oh” and wave at Su Yang. “It’s all done. Take a look.”
With that, she brought Su Yang to the computer and opened the video.
Su Yang sat on the chair and watched the video in a serious manner.
The video was 10 minutes long and it was filmed in the form of a small documentary. ‘Overall, I’m quite satisfied with this.
‘I think that with this video as a base, coupled with my [Advanced Film & Television Post-Production], editing and dubbing, completing my mission shouldn’t be too big of a problem.
‘After all, no matter what, I have my own platform. If push comes to shove, I could just slam it into my data traffic.
‘The purpose of the creation of my company is to complete the system mission quickly anyway.’
After making a copy of the video, Su Yang went home to get working on it.
At the same time, something strange happened on Big Beard Liu’s side...
After settling the donation issue, Big Beard Liu was in an extremely good mood. He had been so stressed by the donation that he could barely breathe and he had been thinking about how to solve it every day.
In the end, he did not expect that the production team would bear it completely for him just like that.
Therefore, he could not help but sigh at how lucky he was.
That was why he was extra serious when he was filming that day. Not only did he spend the effort to guide the actors, he even started to adjust the lighting and cameras tirelessly.
This also caused the effects of the scenes that he had filmed today to be very outstanding, so much that even he himself was very satisfied.
In the afternoon, due to his outstanding efficiency, Big Beard Liu ended the filming early. As promised, he called the producer, the director, the assistant director and his personal assistant out for dinner.
They had agreed on this beforehand, so they had no objections. After finishing their work, they left the hotel with Big Beard Liu.
The restaurant that Big Beard Liu had chosen was not far from the filming location. It was not considered high-end, but the dishes were pretty good. The five of them had eaten a lot of the filming crew’s meals recently, so they did not have much to eat. Now that they suddenly had an additional meal, they were extremely satisfied.
What was more satisfying was that during the meal, Big Beard Liu mysteriously told them that he had arranged for them to enjoy a second round. After the meal, they would all go ahead and have some fun with some young girls.
The people sitting there were all men. After some hesitation upon hearing Big Beard Liu’s plans, they smiled knowingly.
Therefore, after the meal, the few of them left in a daze and prepared to depart for their second round.
When they left the restaurant, Big Beard Liu and his assistant went to the front desk to settle the bill.
The five of them spent 1,300 yuan for the entire meal and the hotel staff took out a QR code scanner.
Out of habit, Big Beard Liu turned on his Alipay account. When the service staff scanned it... The payment failed, there was something abnormal with the bank card.
Big Beard Liu was stunned for a moment. He apologized sleepily and then switched to another bank card to try again.
As a result, after scanning, it still showed that the payment had failed and there was something abnormal with the bank card.
Big Beard Liu refused to believe it. He tried all the bank cards he had that were linked to Alipay and all of them showed the same abnormalities.
Big Beard Liu had drunk quite a bit, hence his head was spinning. ‘I can understand if there’s something abnormal with one card, but all my cards have abnormalities? There’s obviously something wrong with Alipay! Their client is probably broken.’
With that thought in mind, Big Beard Liu called his assistant over and asked him to settle the bill for him, saying that he would pay him back later.
After paying the bill, they left the restaurant. Big Beard Liu called for two cars and dragged the five of them to a clubhouse that he had just asked from a friend to have some fun.
Since the people present that day were all people who helped Big Beard Liu with his ideas and solutions, Big Beard Liu was quite generous and got each of them two girls each and an endless flow of alcohol.
The five of them enjoyed themselves until 2 am before they left the clubhouse with the girls in their arms. As for the bill, it was naturally paid by Big Beard Liu’s assistant. After all, Big Beard Liu did not know what was going on. “My Alipay has broken down.”
The next morning, Big Beard Liu climbed out of bed. He looked at the traces of the glorious battle last night and recalled the feeling. His slightly drunk face revealed a smug smile.
As for the girl, after his glorious battle, she left after Big Beard Liu allowed her to wash up.
Big Beard Liu went to the bathroom to take a shower. After washing up, he woke up and felt that he had a slight headache.
Hence, he sat back on the bed and looked at the phone on the bed in a daze momentarily.
After a moment, he suddenly remembered that last night, both parties had been paid by his assistant as a loan. ‘I haven’t returned him the money yet.’
Therefore, he picked up his phone and tried to figure out what was going on with his Alipay.
After opening his Alipay account, he tried to purchase two items and realized that he was not able to pay for any of them. Both transactions showed that there were some abnormalities with his bank card.
Big Beard Liu, who was gradually sobering up, felt that something was amiss. ‘Alipay is such a big company, so it’s impossible for them to be unable to repair their servers in one night, isn’t it?
‘Could it be that my card’s the problem?’
With that thought in mind, he looked at the time and realized that it was time for Alipay’s customer service to start work. Therefore, he turned to the back of his bank card and called customer services to ask about the situation.
To his surprise, the customer service staff said that his bank card had been stopped.
Someone made a phone call to report that his card had been lost.
Big Beard Liu was dumbfounded. ‘Lost? What the h*ll? Is this a joke? When did I lose it?’
Just as he was in a daze, his phone suddenly rang. It was a message from WeChat.
Big Beard Liu picked it up and realized that his cousin was looking for him. ‘Brother, I think I should tell you this... Did you know Sister-In-Law is borrowing money everywhere?’
Big Beard Liu was stunned. ‘Borrowing money? What for?’
He hurriedly typed a bunch of words and replied, ‘I didn’t know that. Why is she borrowing money?’
The cousin replied, ‘I don’t know either. Anyway, she just borrowed 100,000 yuan from me. But, I didn’t have that much on me, so I only transferred 50,000 yuan to her.’
Big Beard Liu felt that something was wrong. He replied, ‘Okay, I’ll ask her about this.’ Then, he called his wife.
“Beep... Beep... Beep...” After ringing for a while, his phone call was still unable to connect.
Big Beard Liu frowned and continued calling.
“Beep.... Beep... Beep...” The second call still didn’t go through.
Just as Big Beard Liu was worrying, there was a knock on his door. His assistant’s voice came from outside. “Director Liu, the actors are all here. When are we going to start filming?”
When Big Beard Liu heard that, he looked at the time and realized that it was already past 10am, so he did not have time to care about contacting his wife to ask why she had borrowed money. Hence, he quickly packed up and went to the filming set.
Due to Big Beard Liu’s late arrival, in order to catch up, the filming lasted for the entire morning before they had some free time.
During lunch, Big Beard Liu continued to call his wife while eating his lunch box.
The call still did not go through, but he received a WeChat message from his wife. ‘I’ll be in a meeting for the whole day today. Let’s talk tonight.’
Seeing that his wife had replied on WeChat, Big Beard Liu felt relieved. He had thought that something had happened at home.
Although he still had no idea why his card was locked, nor did he know why his wife wanted to borrow money, the fact remained that Big Beard Liu and his wife had been married for many years. Now that she had replied to him, Big Beard Liu was no longer so worried.
In the afternoon, the filming continued. Big Beard Liu temporarily threw those weird incidents to the back of his mind and focused on filming the movie.
Unfortunately, due to his hangover and the fun he had with the two girls last night, Big Beard Liu was in rather poor condition that day. Even if he was fully focused on filming, the effects were not great. Therefore, the crew only finished filming the scenes for that day in the evening.
After filming, Big Beard Liu returned to the hotel and took a shower to wash away his fatigue from the day.
He walked out of the bathroom and picked up his phone. He wanted to call his wife and ask her what was going on.
At that moment, a notification popped up on his Weibo. ‘Director Liu Yu has admitted defeat and donated 10 million yuan!’
Big Beard Liu blinked. ‘Director Liu Yu? Donated 10 million yuan?
‘Eh? Who’s this unlucky guy who’s had to donate 10 million yuan just like me?’
Just as he was thinking this, he suddenly froze. Then, he suddenly stood up and cursed, “Holy shit!”
He clicked into the Weibo post in a panic and realized that the director was... Himself!
Yes, that’s right. His name was Liu Yu.
At that moment, this Weibo post had already exploded. Countless people liked it and commented on it. They all praised Big Beard Liu for a job well done in admitting defeat like a man.
Looking at these positive comments, Big Beard Liu would normally be very happy. However, the truth was that he could not be happy. He only felt like he had fallen into an icehouse and banged his head!
Yes! That’s right, he felt as if he had fallen into an icehouse!
This was because he realized that there was a new Weibo posted under his account that said. ‘I’ve been doing some thinking for a whole day. I feel like I still have to accept that I’ve been defeated, so I’ve decided to donate 10 million yuan to the welfare organization. The money has already been paid. After the organization gives me a payment receipt over the next few days, I’ll post it on Weibo.”
Big Beard Liu was going crazy!
He quickly deleted this Weibo post and posted a new one. ‘Sorry, my Weibo has been hacked. I wasn’t the one who made that previous post.’
The netizens, who were initially excited about Big Beard Liu’s donation, were instantly drenched with a bucket of cold water. Countless netizens sent question marks under that post or even asked about the situation.
‘Is this for real? Weibo had even endorsed the post officially.’
‘Stop joking with us. How could that even be faked?’
More and more people’s questions did not get a response from Big Beard Liu, so some of the more excited netizens began to bring Big Beard Liu’s family into the picture.
At that moment, Big Beard Liu did not care about this at all. He only felt that he had avoided a crisis at least once. ‘Thank goodness I managed to see it earlier, or else I would definitely have landed in a lot of trouble because of this hacker!’
Just as Liu Beard was thinking that, he refreshed his Weibo and realized that... There was a new Weibo post under his account.
The new Weibo post was a screenshot of the transfer. The screenshot clearly showed that the recipient account was a state welfare organization and the amount was 10 million yuan...
When the new Weibo post was posted, the netizens were completely stunned.
The netizens only felt a song lingering in their ears. “Little boy, do you have many question marks in your head?”
They felt like not only did they have a lot of question marks, but the amount of question marks there was was so much that it could almost crush them.
‘What’s going on!
‘Does he have Schizophrenia?’
