Lin Jiali’s question was ambiguous, especially when it was related to the mission. However, Su Yang did not think too much about it. That was the first time he saw Lin Jiali being so serious.
‘The Lin Jiali I know is usually a little silly and funny. However, ever since we flirted just now, she seems to have changed completely.
‘Previously, she has never asked how I was going to proceed or even have an actual discussion related to work.
‘I never would have thought that she would become so serious because of Han Yi.
‘Or perhaps... Did I break her during my brainwashing?
‘I don’t think so...
‘Can I reset her?
‘I very much prefer the usual silly Lin Jiali!’
Just as Su Yang was daydreaming, Lin Jiali waved her hand in front of him. “Hey, hey, why are you daydreaming? What are you thinking about? Are you thinking about the pigeons in front of Prague Square?”
Su Yang was confused.
‘What do you mean by the pigeons in front of Prague Square?
‘What in the world are you on about?’
However, that very statement made Su Yang feel as though the original Lin Jiali had returned. She was always saying things that others could not understand, but... She could always make others understand what she meant.
That was also a kind of talent.
Su Yang came back to his senses. He coughed and said, “Actually, I’ve already thought about your plan with Han Yi long ago.”
Lin Jiali’s eyes showed a hint of interest. “Oh? Why didn’t I know about this before?”
Su Yang shrugged. “Because I’m the only one who knows.”
Lin Jiali said, “Why don’t you brief me about it?”
Su Yang was curious. “Why shouldn’t I give you the details?”
Lin Jiali was speechless.
“I’m afraid I wouldn’t understand.”
Su Yang was speechless.
‘Hmm, I suppose it does make sense. That’s very Lin Jiali.’
Su Yang pulled her along to sit down and said as succinctly as possible, “It’s actually very simple, using money to buy resources.”
Lin Jiali was confused.
Su Yang stretched out a finger. “I’m going to use the most basic play method within the entertainment industry to bring funds into our team and give you all all kinds of opportunities.”
Lin Jiali’s jaw dropped.
She had thought of countless plans that Su Yang might give her in the future, but she had never thought that it would be like this.
Su Yang was right, buying our way through to resources is indeed the most basic playing method within the entertainment industry. It’s considered to be on [Hard] mode for ordinary celebrities to survive within the entertainment industry, but this method will turn it into [Easy] mode.
Once this mode is activated, it’s going to be a massive killing machine, also turning it into the easiest kickstarter point within the entertainment industry.
It’s much easier than having to have the director be my dad.
After all, even if the director places his son into the production team, he would still have to gain favours, gain reputation or even exchange with other resources.
However, would any of the above be able to compare with straight up cash? Absolutely nothing!
This is the easiest method known within the entertainment industry.
But why doesn’t anyone use it?
Because... It’s money consuming.
Other than rich people who did not have any lack of money to support their mistresses, their own sons and their daughters, who would possibly use such a method?
After all, what’s the main objective of supporting them? Bringing them to fame of course! Then, what’s the point of bringing them to fame? To earn money...
Well then, here’s the problem. If that person already has the money to make someone famous, why would they still have to rely on the entertainment industry to earn them more money?
Although the entertainment industry is a place with high returns upon success, its rate of success rate is extremely low.
If they invest 100 million yuan, all of it might actually go down the drain, there might even be a chance that they might not even receive 20% in return. After all, film projects all have high returns but low success rates. Moreover, if they were to try and support their own affiliates, the success rate would be even lower...
Therefore, the ones who would use money to buy for resources are those who are filthy rich with too much money to spend. They would enter the entertainment industry purely for the fun of it and gain fame or they might even just want to receive an acting role. Thus, they did not have any intentions to receive any profits in return.
For example... Da Tiantian.
What about Lin Jiali and Han Yi?
Neither of them have a wealthy family to spend money on them, nor did they have a sugar daddy who could spend on them...
And now, Su Yang was going to spend his money to pave their road to fame?
‘Are we going to become his mistress... No! Daughters?’
Lin Jiali felt that it was a little magical.
Therefore, after being stunned for a long time, she could not help but cry out, “Daddy...”
Su Yang was confused.
“Huh? What?”
Su Yang really did not hear her clearly.
However, his words brought Lin Jiali back to her senses.
Sensing that she had lost her composure, Lin Jiali coughed and changed the topic. “It’s going to be a huge scale investment if we go along with your plan. Why don’t you reconsider, hardcore fan?”
Su Yang shook his head. “I’ve already made my decision. Furthermore, I don’t feel that the expenses are high.”
Lin Jiali thought that Su Yang might not understand the current situation in the entertainment industry, so she explained, “Su Yang, I know that you’re good to me and I know that you want me to become famous. But you really don’t have to do this.”
“You probably don’t have much experience in the entertainment industry, so you’re not too familiar about it. Every year, there are tens of thousands of movies made in the country, but only 100 to 200 of the movies would make it to the cinema. Of these hundred movies, only a few dozen will be able to make a profit, while the rest of them are losses. Needless to say, those movies that weren’t even able to make it to the cinema have it even worse.
“The same goes for television dramas. There are so many dramas in a year, but how many of them actually become famous? How many of them have actually been bought out by Youteng? A project costs tens of millions or even hundreds of millions of yuan. The moment you lose that amount, it’s game over.”
“So... There’s really no need for you to do this.”
Su Yang looked at Lin Jiali and smiled. “Don’t worry about that. You’ve got to trust my judgment.”
“My idea is very simple. Han Yi will help us make a name for ourselves, so Tan Mei can discuss projects with many companies in the industry. As long as there are projects that she likes, she can bring them over for me to review.”
“As long as I think it’s suitable, then no matter whether you and Han Yi are the other party’s first or second choice, I will spend the money required to get you into the project.”
“Moreover, I’ll be an investor of the production team, so you and Han Yi will not suffer any grievances. All you would have to do is to act well.”
“Then, once the project is successfully completed and the movie gets released, I will receive my investment capital, possibly even raking in a hefty profit in the meantime. Therefore, this will not only pave the road for both of you, it will also help my film company gain profits and also accumulate copyrights.
“If there’s a good project, I can set up my own crew, while you 2 can be the main characters.”
“All in all, I’ve thought about this plan for a long time, so not only is it foolproof, it’s also sustainable with the potential to grow continuously. So, there’s no need for you to worry at all.”
When Lin Jiali saw Su Yang’s high-spirited manner, she was a little dazed.
Although she really wanted to say that Su Yang was indulging in fantasy, she had to admit that the plan Su Yang described was very attractive.
‘The only problem is... It’s too idealistic.
‘No matter how good Su Yang is at choosing the projects, it’s impossible for him to be able to differentiate the potential ones with just 1 glance, isn’t it?
‘The moment a project fails, he’s going to have to make a huge loss...
‘However, the usually calm Su Yang is now in a state of excitement. There’s probably no way to persuade him out of it...
‘Sigh...’
Lin Jiali felt very troubled.
‘I’m forced to handle this kind of pressure despite my IQ...
‘How am I supposed to make my hardcore fan change his mind?
‘If Su Yang carries on like this, both Han Yi and myself are probably going to be sold off by Su Yang very soon...’
Lin Jiali nibbled on her fingers and was panicking. ‘I’m so worried, it’s scary...’
On the other hand, Su Yang was not as worried or doubtful as Lin Jiali. He was confident because he had Little Hus...
‘With Little Hus around, I refuse to believe that I’m going to make a loss.
‘With Little Hus by my side, this world is mine!’
Su Yang felt that after becoming a technology and social media tycoon, he might become an entertainment tycoon next!
‘Would I be a fully powered Hand Of Midas?
‘The film projects that I choose will definitely be profitable!
‘Who else could there be!?’
As for the investment capital... Su Yang was not worried at all.
He would be able to gain everything he needed the moment he sold his stocks.
After chatting with Lin Jiali, Su Yang left the Imperial Capital and found a quiet corner. Then, he asked Tang Xiaomi to call out his name so that he could return to Shanghai.
After returning to Shanghai, Su Yang told Tan Mei all the details of the negotiation. Then, he asked Tan Mei to meet Han Yi according to Han Yi’s conditions and sign the agreement.
Tan Mei was stunned when she saw Su Yang’s terms. She did not expect that signing an A-ranked celebrity would be so “cheap”.
Therefore, even though it was the weekend, she still called all the legal team back for a meeting and started to draft the contract. Han Yi also quickly sent a lawyer over to discuss the terms of the contract.
As a quasi A-ranked celebrity, even though the basic conditions had been set, the details had to be finalized bit by bit.
Therefore, the contract was only finalized after 3 days of discussion.
Over the past 3 days, Han Yi had taken the initiative to terminate the contract with her agency.
In Tan Mei and Su Yang’s original plan, Han Yi’s agency had actually used some underhanded means to poach Han Yi, causing it to become an unfair competition. Therefore, they could file for a lawsuit and request for the termination of Han Yi’s contract immediately.
However, Han Yi had been doing well in the company for the past few years. Even though there were some differences in their ideals, she did not want to fall out with them, so she paid them the penalty and left.
It was not until Lin Jiali secretly told Su Yang that Su Yang found out that Han Yi had lost 15 million yuan in order to breach the contract. Not only did she lose all the money that she had earned over the years, she also ended up with a huge debt.
For the first time, Su Yang had a new understanding of Han Yi. She was a loyal and faithful girl.
After learning about the news, Li Zijun, keenly sensed that it was an opportunity. Hence, she requested to initiate public relations with the media and hold a press conference.
After seeking Han Yi’s approval, New Arts Culture held a press conference and officially announced that they would be signing with the domestic superstar, Han Yi.
As one of the top celebrities of the new generation, Han Yi was one of the most popular celebrities in recent years. After she bought off the contract at a high price and joined a new artiste management agency, it immediately caused a huge uproar.
After all, she was not a small celebrity, but a domestic quasi A-ranked celebrity.
There were many people in the domestic entertainment industry who had a higher status than her, but few of them were actually more popular than her.
Her change of agency caused a lot of discussion in the industry.
Some thought that it was because Yang Mi’s agency’s treaty was too harsh. Some thought that it was because Han Yi became popular and wanted to fly solo. Some thought that Han Yi had found a sugar daddy and had a better way out... Anyway, there were all kinds of things to say.
Even the comments online exploded.
Han Yi was the hottest girl in recent years. Furthermore, unlike the previous few years where there were a number of girls at the same time, Han Yi was the only girl during those recent years.
Actually, Han Yi wasn’t actually the only girl of her generation.
In fact, there were indeed a few of them, but the difference between them and Han Yi were too great in comparison.
Han Yi was now close to becoming an A-ranked, while Xiao Hua, who was closest to her, was only a B-ranked, completely out of league.
That also caused her popularity to skyrocket in recent years, also contributing to how Han Yi’s popularity rose so quickly as well.
Therefore, when she decided to change her agency, countless people were curious about her new agency.
‘What kind of agency had actually managed to make Han Yi decide to jump out of her original agency to join them?’
‘They must be a huge agency with strong capabilities who would be able to bring Han Yi more projects, right?’
‘Or perhaps it’s a veteran management agency with a deep background and a wide variety of resources?’
With that curiosity, the netizens started to dig into Han Yi’s new agency.
In the end, they were extremely shocked with what they found. ‘Han Yi has actually signed a contract with a very small management agency?!
