Chapter 716 - Kissing Chu Xia
Spirit Building’s words silenced the group for a moment. Everyone knew that Su Yang placed great importance on the Earth flashing. They also knew that Su Yang had arranged for Spirit Building to observe it in real time. Hence, the little monsters that were still fooling around stopped talking.
When Su Yang saw this message, he was stunned for a moment. However, he still replied immediately. ‘I’ll be right there.’
After replying to the message, Su Yang walked towards Spirit Building and called out to Little Deeny, “Little Deeny, did your doppelganger monitor anything?”
Little Deeny’s voice rang in Su Yang’s ears. “No, Master. I’ve been observing with a doppelganger, but there’s nothing unusual.”
Su Yang understood. ‘So it’s as I’ve guessed then, only those who have activated their spiritual energy would be able to see the Earth flashing. However, little monsters like Little Deeny who have yet to activate their spiritual energy will not be able to see it.’
With this thought in mind, Su Yang went to Spirit Building’s room.
Spirit Building’s body was still that of an old woman, but her soul was that of a young girl. However, for some reason, she did not like soft toys and she did not like the pink color that girls usually liked. Instead, she liked brown, black, gray and other colors preferred by older people. Furthermore, the decor in her room was very simple. There was a kang bed-stove, a tea table made of bamboo and incense burning.
When Su Yang entered, she was sitting on the kang bed-stove with a square bamboo table in front of her. There was a tea set on the table while she sat in front of the table with her back bent. Apart from that, she was holding onto a small tea bowl with her eyes closed and drinking tea leisurely.
Looking at her, Su Yang wondered if she had actually kept an eye on the satellite.
If not for the fact that there was a satellite screen opposite her desk, Su Yang would have suspected that she was bluffing him.
After entering the room, Su Yang asked, “Old lady, did you see the Earth flash?”
Spirit Building nodded slowly. She looked at Su Yang with her wrinkled face and said, “I saw it. It’s very clear, it really did flash.”
Su Yang asked, “When?”
Then, Spirit Building took out a videotape. Clearly, she had recorded the memory of her seeing the flash.
Su Yang took the tape and passed it to Little Deeny, who had just arrived beside him.
A moment later, the video code was completed. Little Deeny snapped her fingers and an image appeared before the three of them. The content on the screen was dull and a real-time video of the satellite. Perhaps it was because the satellite was located in the western hemisphere, there was a time difference on it.
It was only afternoon on Su Yang’s side, but it was already night on the other side. Therefore, from the satellite’s viewpoint, the lights on Earth were lighting up one by one, burning across half of the Earth like a fire.
At that moment, the entire Earth seemed to tremble, expanding and shrinking rapidly.
Su Yang’s eyes lit up. He rewound the clip and looked at the details again. Little Deeny had also thoughtfully adjusted the speed to 0.25 times.
Under the slow speed, the changes on Earth became clearer.
Perhaps it was because Spirit Building’s control over her spiritual energy was stronger than Su Yang’s, all the details of the Earth’s flash appeared before them.
As Su Yang watched the video, he suddenly had a feeling that Earth was like a beating heart in the video.
Yes, even he found it hard to believe. He actually felt like Earth was... Alive.
‘What’s going on?’
Su Yang looked at Spirit Building and asked, “Did you feel that as well? Earth seems to be alive.”
Spirit Building’s eyelids drooped and she pouted as she raised her teacup shakily. After taking a sip, she said, “I think so too.”
Su Yang asked, “Aren’t you surprised?”
Spirit Building opened her drooping eyelids and looked at Su Yang slowly before she said weakly, “You really are too young. If you had lived a few more years, you wouldn’t be surprised by that already.”
Su Yang looked at Spirit Building and felt that she was talking nonsense...
‘She’s only been born a few days ago, yet she’s already gotten used to such things? She’s obviously faking it.
‘You aren’t old by age because of your appearance, alright?
‘Haven’t you seen how Guo Ganggang and Lin Ziying are the same age?’
While Su Yang was complaining, he asked, “Did you find anything else?”
Spirit Building put down the teacup and placed her hands in front of her before she said, “I saw something, but I don’t understand it. I can only say that I seem to see some spiritual energy particles spraying and absorbing when the Earth fluctuates.
“However, because there’s only this one video, I can’t see it clearly.”
Su Yang thought about it. ‘It’s been more than a day since I last saw the Earth flash before it happened again.
‘Based on this, the frequency at which the Earth flashes is quite fast... About once every 1.5 days.
‘If it really is periodic like I’ve imagined, it should be flashing again very soon.
‘So, since Spirit Building said she couldn’t see the video clearly...’
At that thought, Su Yang looked at Spirit Building and said, “Shall I send you to space then?”
The old woman’s eyes widened, and her back was no longer hunched. She spoke slowly as she looked at Su Yang. “Huh?”
Su Yang said seriously, “Didn’t you say that you couldn’t see it clearly because you were watching the video? In that case, I’ll personally send you up there to take a look. When you’re up close, you should be able to gain more from it.”
Spirit Building looked at Su Yang and was silent for a while. “No, I feel that you’re trying to get me hurt.”
Su Yang was speechless.
Even after chatting with Spirit Building for a while, Spirit Building still did not agree to go to space.
Hence, Su Yang had no choice but to give up on this wonderful idea. Instead, he got her to write a report for him before she continued to observe the Earth’s flashing.
After that, Su Yang and Little Deeny left Spirit Building’s room after they were done with their work.
Then, Su Yang brought Little Deeny back to the living room and took a look at two video recordings by playing all six different view angles at the same time. Hence, there was a very clear comparison.
In these two videos, one of the three angles could clearly see the Earth flashing, but the other video could not.
Also, because there was a timer on the video, Su Yang was able to confirm that all six angles were being replayed at the same time.
Even though Su Yang did not know what this phenomenon was, he felt that it was related to spiritual energy.
Among all of them, Spirit Building was the most familiar with spiritual energy, so Su Yang could only place his hopes on her and let her study it.
After that, Su Yang spent the rest of the day reading.
At night, there was a big party in the castle, hence all the monsters returned to the virtual space through the glass phone and held the party in the castle yard.
Amongst the little monsters included Pool, Sanque, Bubbles and the others who were already living outside. Apart from that, there was also Fei Fei and Satantan, who would seldom interact with the other little monsters, as well as Qing Zhu, the Clown Sea Serpent, Janet and all the other small monsters gathered together happily and conversed with each other.
As the party was held late and most people were already asleep, Su Yang had a sudden thought and invited Chu Xia and Tang Xiaomi to the party, who were both surprised and curious to see so many little monsters.
Thus, a young woman and a little girl were like children who had their wishes fulfilled as they were able to chat and play with every little monster.
This might have something to do with their personalities. Chu Xia was a lively girl and more extroverted.
On the other hand, Tang Xiaomi... Needless to say, it was all because she was a cute girl, or she would literally be a naughty kid.
Halfway through the gathering, Su Yang called Chu Xia to the living room when no one was looking. He wanted to see if Little Deeny’s method of dealing with Little Softie was effective.
Of course, the outcome was obvious. Even though Little Softie seemed reluctant, she was still chased out of the castle by Su Yang.
How reluctant was she? It was the kind of situation where she would turn her head back after every few steps...
After chasing Little Softie away, Su Yang and Chu Xia sat on the sofa quietly.
Chu Xia’s heart was in a mess.
That was not the first time she was in Su Yang’s castle, nor was it the first time she saw the little monsters. However, it was the first time she had so much fun.
Actually, when Su Yang sent her WeChat tonight, Chu Xia was hesitant.
As a girl, she was always looking forward to certain things and felt uneasy. Hence, when she came to her lover’s house in the middle of the night, her imagination would definitely have run wild.
However, before arriving there, Chu Xia had given herself a psychological hint, which was that with Little Softie by her side, there was no need for her to be afraid or worried since Little Softie would “protect” her.
Actually, Chu Xia did not know if she liked or detested this kind of “protection” because she did not know what she was thinking. She wanted for something to happen between her and Su Yang, but she was also afraid that something irreversible would happen.
‘Perhaps this is the feeling of being in love?’
Later on... Chu Xia realized that she was overthinking things. Su Yang wanted her to attend the party and had no other thoughts.
Because of that, she played for two hours and almost forgot that she was a guest at Su Yang’s house.
Just then, Su Yang called her to the castle...
Chu Xia’s heart was racing and she didn’t know what to do. However, she was still consoling herself that Su Yang wouldn’t do anything as long as she had Little Softie.
In the end... Su Yang “scolded” Little Softie and made her leave.
Chu Xia looked at Little Softie’s back and felt a little resentful. ‘I thought you were my guardian angel. In the end... You’re actually a spy planted by the enemy!
‘You’re leaving with just a few words said... Aren’t you too spineless!’
After complaining, Chu Xia became even more nervous.
It was a noisy party outside while the two of them sat quietly inside. Chu Xia’s body was slightly stiff as she sat on the sofa, her hands gently twisting the corner of her shirt as she stole glances at Su Yang.
Su Yang had been watching Chu Xia’s antics. He felt that Chu Xia was extremely cute at that moment. ‘She looks like a shy little deer.’ On top of that, the beauty of a young girl in love made Su Yang smile even more.
He tried to find some beautiful words to describe Chu Xia in his mind, but he could not find any.
Every time he thought of a few words that might fit together, Chu Xia’s smile would make Su Yang feel that those words were too dull. It could not describe the stars burning in Chu Xia’s eyes, nor could it describe Chu Xia’s charming smile and could not describe Chu Xia’s shyness that could captivate one’s soul.
‘No matter what I think of, they can’t be used to describe even half of Chu Xia’s beauty.’
Therefore, Su Yang became stunned after looking at her for a while.
When Chu Xia Lu realized that Su Yang did not move, she tilted her head curiously.
In the end, she saw Su Yang staring at her like a fool.
Furthermore, it was obvious that he was not letting his imaginations run wild after looking at her, but he had become starstruck after looking at her.
However, Chu Xia did not feel shy at being sized up by someone she loved. Instead, she burst out laughing and the nervousness in her heart disappeared without a trace.
Her laugh immediately woke Su Yang up. When Su Yang came back to his senses, he saw Chu Xia smiling charmingly like an angel who had descended to the mortal world and was stunned again.
Chu Xia looked at Su Yang and smiled. “Why are you always staring at me?”
Su Yang came back to her senses. “How did you know that I was staring at you?”
Chu Xia tilted her head, “Is there anyone else here?”
The living room light flickered twice...
Su Yang did not answer Chu Xia’s question and merely looked at her quietly.
After a while, Su Yang said softly, “Chu Xia, you’re so beautiful.”
Chu Xia was stunned. She did not expect Su Yang to be so direct. Her cheeks turned pink as she lowered her head and kept quiet.
Su Yang looked at Chu Xia’s shy expression and said softly, “Chu Xia.”
Chu Xia raised her head and looked at Su Yang shyly. “Huh?”
Su Yang asked, “Have you heard of scamming?”
Chu Xia didn’t know why Su Yang suddenly wanted to talk about this. She could only nod her head in a daze, “I’ve heard of it.”
Su Yang moved closer to Chu Xia and looked straight at her. He said softly, “Then, if I want to kiss you, can I kiss you directly? Or... Should I lie on the ground so that you can kiss me?”
Chu Xia looked at Su Yang’s face which was inches away from her and her face was getting redder and redder. On top of that, her heart was racing fervently as if it was completely out of control.
Then, her eyes began to blur. It was as if she could not see the scene before her clearly.
Moments later, she felt something soft and warm in her mouth.
Instantly, her mind went blank and her eyes started to fog up uncontrollably. Her fingers gripped her dress tighter and tighter...
Moments later, their lips parted.
Chu Xia panted heavily and her eyes kept blinking. She had yet to recover from the kiss.
Su Yang looked at her and could not hide the smile on his face. “Chu Xia, your face is as red as a monkey’s butt.”
Su Yang’s joke jolted Chu Xia back to her senses. She felt her blood rushing back to her body. She glared at Su Yang and pouted. “That was my first kiss! It’s normal for me to feel a little uncomfortable!”
Su Yang smiled mysteriously. “No, that wasn’t your first kiss.”
Chu Xia looked confused, “Huh?”
Su Yang did not explain. ‘That’s a secret that only I know, hehe.’
Chu Xia looked at Su Yang’s mysterious expression and was confused because she did not know what Su Yang was up to.
Then, Su Yang changed the topic and said softly, “Chu Xia.”
“Huh?” Chu Xia looked at Su Yang with a dazed expression.
