As for what Shasha’s mother was thinking, Su Yang was able to deduce after analyzing for a moment.
‘She merely wants to repay me for saving her daughter.
‘However, since I refused to see her, she couldn’t thank me in person. Therefore, she has no choice but to find another way to repay me.
‘She probably thought of helping me to promote my app since I had it. Forcing the app to be publicized would definitely not be as effective as this kind of “heroic act”.
‘Coincidentally, last night, her daughter had been found because of this software. At the time, she had asked hundreds of thousands of people to help her find it and that was a very good topic, so she came up with this plan.
Truth be told, when I decided to help look for Shasha, I didn’t have any ulterior motives. However, this is too good of an opportunity to pass up.
When Tang Jing looked at him to seek his opinion, Su Yang nodded without any hesitation.
After receiving Su Yang’s approval, Tang Jing smiled and said into the phone, “Okay, I’ll ask that friend of mine and give you an answer later. If it’s convenient for you, can you give me a brief on your idea?”
“Sure, no problem.” Shasha’s mother was overjoyed when she heard that Tang Jing was willing to convey her message. She quickly explained everything that she had planned with her husband that morning.
There were only two parts to the whole plan. The first part was that Shanghai TV Station had a very popular interview program. The program was on Shanghai TV Station and the local viewership ratings had always been good.
She planned to add Su Yang’s rescue into the program at the last minute so that she could reconstruct the entire rescue operation process through the interview.
The second part of the plan was that half an hour before Shanghai TV’s news broadcast, there was a national news program, Oriental News.
She planned to let the reporter interview Su Yang and broadcast it on the Oriental news.
Shanghai Satellite TV Network was one of the most popular satellite channels in the country and its target audience was the entire country. If it appeared on a news program like this, Su Yang’s publicity would be very positive.
Combining those two programs where 1 was targeted within Shanghai while the other was targeted throughout the nation, they were definitely very sincere.
Su Yang agreed immediately after Tang Jing hung up.
However, after he agreed, Su Yang looked at Tang Jing with a ‘bitter’ expression. “Look at how sincere she was when she lost her child. I’m going to be on the news and making an appearance on their show. You on the other hand... Only gave me 10,000 yuan back then.”
Tang Jing blushed and said softly, “I... Haven’t got a lot of money. Those cars and houses were not under my name, so I couldn’t give them to you. Moreover, my own income isn’t even enough for me to cover my food expenses...”
Su Yang was speechless.
‘Fine, I understand. I had been “conned” by Tang Jing from the beginning by thinking that all women who drive Porsches were rich women.
‘I never expected for her to be so broke.’
Actually, Tang Jing’s meaning was clear. I didn’t pay you based on the worth of your job, but I paid you however much I had on me, I really didn’t have anything else! I can’t just... Right?’
However, when Su Yang thought about how Tang Jing went to borrow money from her father, whom she had not contacted for a long time, without any hesitation, Su Yang felt that Tang Jing was quite nice to him.
After that, Tang Jing went upstairs to coax Tang Xiaomi before calling Shasha’s mother to tell her that Su Yang had agreed.
Due to the fact that the news was timely, Shasha’s mother had directly placed the interview with the reporter for the Oriental News on that very day. They would have to record it on that afternoon and broadcast it the next night. As for the interview program, after her husband coordinated with the station, they decided to do the same. They would record it that afternoon and broadcast it the next night.
All in all, they were full of sincerity.
Su Yang also called Li Zijun and told her to cooperate with the news and interview.
Su Yang wanted to take that opportunity to finish off his Gold Mission!
That way, he would not have to suffer from Sanque’s anger!
At noon, Tang Jing brought Su Yang out to buy a decent suit. She helped Su Yang put it on him and did his tie herself.
In the afternoon, Pan Zhaodi drove Su Yang and Tang Jing to the television station.
When the 3 of them arrived at the entrance, Shasha’s mother was already waiting there and Shasha was with her with their hands held together.
When Shasha’s mother saw Tang Jing and Su Yang coming down, she quickly pulled Shasha over to welcome them.
She reached out to shake Tang Jing’s hand excitedly, tears welling up in her eyes. “Sister Tang, thank you so much!”
Tang Jing quickly shook her hand and introduced, “This is Su Yang. He was the one who helped you find Shasha last night.”
Previously, Shasha’s mother had seen Su Yang. However, she had always thought that the fortune-teller or the boss of a company should be a middle-aged or old man. However, she did not expect him to be a young man who looked to be only 17 or 18 years old. Therefore, she merely thought that Su Yang was Tang Jing’s assistant.
When she heard what Tang Jing had said, she quickly let go of Tang Jing’s hand and shook Su Yang’s hand passionately. “Su... Mr. Su! Thank you so much! Thank you so much! I really mean it!”
That kind of sincere gratitude from a mother warmed Su Yang’s heart. He felt that helping someone was such a delightful thing.
He reached out to shake Shasha’s mother’s hand and said, “It’s fine. As long as your child is safe.”
Shasha raised her head and looked at Su Yang cutely. After a while, she said, “Thank you, Uncle. Thank you for saving me last night.”
Su Yang was speechless.
‘Could you not call me that...’
Even though he was complaining in his heart, Su Yang still smiled and bent down. “It’s fine. As long as you’re safe.”
Then, under Shasha’s mother’s lead, the group entered the studio.
That was not Su Yang’s first time at Shanghai Satellite TV Network. His first bucket of gold was earned by pulling classmates from Shanghai TV Station to be Han Yi’s fan club. Unexpectedly, after half a year, he was back at that place again.
‘In the past, I was just a member of the audience, but now I’m the main character on stage. Life really does change very quickly.’
Following that was a series of preparation procedures including makeup, reading the script, and speaking with the host.
The host was a beautiful woman. Tang Jing said that she was very popular in Shanghai, but Su Yang had never heard of her.
Perhaps because it was a mission given by the Deputy Director, even though she had been called back from home to record the program, she did not complain and kept smiling.
When she was on stage, she complemented Su Yang continuously. The questions she asked were all according to the script.
All those questions were meant to be asked to receive Su Yang’s opinion. Not only were they not tricky, the questions could highlight Su Yang’s positive image.
For example, “Mr. Su, why did you want to put up the lost girl’s information on your app?”, “How did you determine this girl’s location?” and “Would you be able to share with us your future plans?”
Initially, even though the female host was smiling on the surface, she was not that willing because she had known about Shasha’s identity long ago, so she was well aware about the purpose of the show. To put it bluntly, it was because the Deputy Director wanted to return the favor.
However... to her, the program was her foundation. She solely relied on the program to receive a place in the station. If the outcome of the program was not good, the audience would feel bored and the ratings would decrease. When that happens, all Su Yang had to do was walk away while she would be in trouble.
If she ended up losing some die-hard fans because of that episode, she would feel even worse.
In the end, when she went on stage to chat with Su Yang, her eyes lit up. Her professionalism told her that... The ratings for that episode was going to be a huge hit!
In fact, halfway through the recording, she had even thought of the title—Artificial Intelligence and the kidnapped child.
That was because Su Yang had given the credit for saving the child last night to the users on his software and artificial intelligence. Not only did he take out the clip of the recording for “Let the artificial intelligence analyze where Shasha might be”, but he also showed everyone the analysis plan that was recorded.
What was Su Yang’s artificial intelligence? It was a pioneer in the industry that was personally praised by the country, a top-notch artificial intelligence program in the world.
‘For a program that uses artificial intelligence to analyze data to help humans, if that isn’t a big hit, what is?
‘I believe the moment this gets aired, it will attract a huge amount of interested users.’
If even the host of the show had such a feeling, Shasha’s mother, who was an experienced producer, knew what that meant even more.
After more than an hour of recording, she shook her head at Tang Jing with a bitter smile. “At first, I wanted to return Mr. Su’s favor, but I didn’t expect... I think I owe him even more now.”
After the interview, Su Yang went for an interview with a reporter from the East. Other than talking about artificial intelligence, Su Yang also emphasized the impact of the incident.
He said that through that small matter, he understood the social responsibility of a company. He had always wanted to repay society, but he did not know how he would get around it. Now, he had found it. In the future, he planned to expand the technology of artificial intelligence to help the millions of children in the country who might get lost.
He had decided to post a new feature on his Findme app within 2 days, naming it “Angel Search”. Searching for all lost angels.
Su Yang’s plans for the future was to utilize his Findme app to request for help through the information and messages input through his software whenever a parent reports that their child was lost.
Then, his Findme app would utilize its huge database to send the information to all its users near the area where the child was reported to be lost instantly. Then, the same information would be gradually sent to all its user’s phone based on a certain timeline to request for their help. Using a large database analysis, they would eventually locate the exact location of the child.
Even though there might still be some children that could not be found, Su Yang still believed that with that plan, it would at least help many families to find their children.
Su Yang’s words were sincere and that was what he really thought. After Tang Xiaomi and Shasha had gone missing, he realized that there were too many children being kidnapped in the world.
He wanted to help those innocent children, but because of how limited his own capabilities were, even if he kept eating strawberries 24 hours a day, he could save one or two, but not the thousands of children who had been abducted.
That was the first time that he had experienced how weak working as an individual was.
However, no matter how weak 1 person is, they would definitely be a lot stronger if they banded together. As long as everyone stretched out a warm hand, they could pull those innocent children out of the swamp.
That was the reason why Su Yang came up with that Angel Search programme.
After the recording, Shasha’s family, including her father, invited Su Yang and Tang Jing for a meal to express their gratitude.
At the dining table, Shasha’s parents kept thanking Su Yang. That made Su Yang realize that no matter how highly reputed or how high one’s status was, at certain times, everyone was equal. If those status and reputation were removed, they were just ordinary parents who loved their children.
The night passed uneventfully. On the second day, the cooldown time for the [Lucky Disfiguring Brick] finally ended. The originally ordinary brick slowly began to glow.
