Chapter 698: Checking The [Satellite Launching Rocket Base]

When he was in the castle, Su Yang felt that the [Satellite Launching Rocket Base] was about the same size as the [Cellphone Development Factory].
However, when he saw the actual building, he realized that the [Satellite Launching Rocket Base] was... F*cking huge!.
The entire mountain had been flattened and the top of the mountain had been turned into a launch paD. Perhaps it was because the location Su Yang had chosen was too poor that all the steel bars were inserted into the mountain to stabilize the launch base. Then, the surface of the mountain was wrapped in silver metal, making it look like a silver mountain.
Arriving at the [Satellite Launching Rocket Base], Su Yang walked to the center of the rocket. He touched it and revealed a look of delight. ‘This rocket looks very beautiful, it’s silvery white in color and looks like a rugby ball that has its tail flattened. Cool.’
When Su Yang touched it, he felt that the surface was very smooth, but it was also cold, like a cold cannonball.
While Su Yang was touching the rocket, the ground beside him slowly opened and a platform rose.
There was a glass screen about the size of a tablet on the table.
Su Yang opened the tablet and saw that there were also various parameters for the rocket. However, Su Yang could not understand the numbers and symbols on the tablet.
Fortunately, this interface was similar to the [Cellphone Development Factory]. Other than some high-level operations, there were also default options. Hence, after a moment of hesitation, Su Yang decided to try out the default option first.
Just as Su Yang was about to press [Launch], Little Deeny stopped him. “Master, don’t be hasty. Don’t you want to see how many coins you have left?”
Su Yang opened the system and looked at the balance, which showed 66,791 coins.
Recently, Su Yang had been promoting the public service video, which had led many people to care for the ecology. Hence, the amount of coins he had had increased significantly.
Although Su Yang thought that it was sufficient, Little Deeny thought that it was a little lacking and said, “Master, you only have enough coins to launch the rocket, but you can’t retrieve it. Plus, the price of a rocket is very expensive, it’s not worth it at all.”
After hearing that, Su Yang immediately slapped his forehead. ‘That’s right. I’m only thinking about launching it, but I’ve forgotten that I have to be responsible for it as well. This won’t do.’
Therefore, he said, “You’re right, I was too excited just now.”
Su Yang pondered for a moment before asking, “On the other hand, I won’t be launching just one satellite at a time, would I?”
Little Deeny nodded. “Yes, Master. You’re able to fire at most three satellites with a small rocket of this size.”
Su Yang did some calculations. ‘The launch is going to cost 20,000 coins, 50,000 coins to retrieve the rocket and 20,000 coins for each satellite. At the moment, I’ve got one satellite, so I still need two more, which is going to cost me a total of 40,000 coins.
‘Altogether... It’s going to come up to a sum of 110,000 coins!’
At that thought, Su Yang looked at his balance.
‘Tsk, I’m lacking quite a bit.’
Hence, Su Yang could not help but have another goal in mind. ‘I’m going to save up more coins and then launch the rocket! I’m going to set up three satellites revolving above Earth so that the entire world will be able to be covered with the Internet.
‘After that... I’m going to officially start producing cellphones.
‘But, where am I supposed to find 60,000 over coins to cover up for this shortage?’
Standing at the rocket launch site, Su Yang started pondering.
‘Through movies? Two of my blockbuster movies have just started filming, so there’s no way I’ll be able to make it in time.
‘Through music? I’ve already done a round of promotion for “Wolf Warriors” in the past. Furthermore, I’m supposed to earn some coins, so I need to promote positive influences through it. All I know how to do is to cover songs, not write the lyrics. So, it’s going to be quite difficult for me since I can’t write some lyrics with positive energy in it.
‘How about short videos? The public service video that I filmed a while ago was full of attractive content, but the effects weren’t ideal. Plus, I’ve got a feeling that the influence through public service videos is just too small.’
After much consideration, Su Yang still did not have a good idea.
Therefore, after he pondered for a while longer, he decided not to think about it temporarily.
After that, he and Little Deeny went down the mountain and returned to the villa. He told Little Deeny to help him think of a way to earn some coins before lying down on the sofa and started to read.
Su Yang’s plan was to read and “accumulate servers” while he continued to think about the matter.
However, as he was reading, what he did not know was that he had silently gone viral online again...
As it turned out, when he was playing games with Qu Xuan, because his level was a little low, there were fewer real players and more bot players. Hence, Su Yang had been matched against one particular person for three rounds in a row. Furthermore, the bigger coincidence was that... This person did not end up on the same team as Su Yang for all three rounds.
This particular person was none other than the Challenger who had 50 stars whom Su Yang met in the first round.
This pro player’s name was Liu Dabai, who was a... renowned streamer at Huya for Honor Of Kings. On top of that, he had two to three million followers.
Even though he was quite strong, a 50-star Challenger was not the best amongst all the other streamers. Furthermore, he thought that he was rather proficient at talking, that’s why he ended up being a streamer.
Since he was not attracting viewers through their techniques, he had been using his second account in his recent streams for the sake of the stream’s effects.
Initially, he had been live streaming smoothly. Since it was low elo games, he would frequently meet newbies or bots, thus giving him ample energy to play and talk at the same time. Furthermore, his eloquence was indeed not too bad and his jokes were quite interesting, coupled with the fact that he had incorporated the bots and the newbies’ stiff movements, he was able to speak very eloquently during a match.
However... When he met Su Yang later on, he began to lose his footing.
Initially, he thought that this was just a simple livestream, so he did not pay much attention to it. Therefore, in the early stages of the game, he started to massacre his enemies and even came up with some dirty jokes at the same time.
Later on, when he saw that the opponent’s jungler had gone to the bottom lane, he followed behind as he prepared to take him down.
To his surprise, Su Yang had actually killed two of his teammates before he could even turn invisible.
However, him turning invisible did not catch Su Yang’s attention. Plus, he believed that Su Yang was only able to perform so well because he was lucky and that his own teammates were too weak. Therefore, he did not hesitate to say in the livestream, “Everyone, keep your eyes open and don’t go to the toilet! Watch me kill him right now!”
In the end...
He was the one who was killed instead.
Instantly, Liu Dabai’s livestream was filled with joy as his chat was filled with comments like ‘We’ve just witnessed the death of the caster.’
‘We’ve just witnessed the caster sh*tting himself.’
‘I didn’t close my eyes, you did.’
Luckily, Liu Dabai was an entertainment streamer, so he didn’t really care about this. In fact, he even laughed and explained himself in the livestream’s chatroom.
Then, everyone knew what happened after that. In the end, the entire game concluded with Liu Dabai chasing after Su Yang’s teammates, while Su Yang was chasing after him everywhere. In the end, Liu Dabai was beaten so badly that he did not have any temper at all.
At that time, the livestream became even more lively.
As Liu Dabai played the game, he slowly came to a realization. ‘It turns out that the audience has been watching streamers go on a killing spree too often already, so they’re finding it entertaining when they sometimes see us losing.’
This was especially true since Liu Dabai was an entertainment streamer instead of a technical streamer. Therefore, he did not have so much burden in terms of “technique”, so losing a few rounds was actually quite amusing. In fact, he could attract more fans and receive more rewards by doing so.
Therefore, he started to ask his assistant to check Su Yang’s results before trying to match Su Yang on purpose. Fortunately, he managed to be matched against Su Yang for two rounds that night.
At that moment, he was playing the role of a pitiful streamer who was prepared to redeem himself but end up getting killed mercilessly.
After a night of live streaming, the effects were explosive and Liu Dabai ended up receiving even more rewards than usual.
Apart from that, Su Yang’s ID, which was “I Have A 50-50 Chance Against Tencent”, had become famous in Liu Dabai’s livestream. Su Yang was known to be skillful, ruthless, and... Only played Lao Fu Zi as a jungler. On top of that, Su Yang was suspected to be a pro player who was training on his second account.
In just three matches, everyone remembered Su Yang’s interesting ID.
Then, after the livestream ended and Liu Dabai went offline, he came up with some ideas.
He had also realized that the explosion of his livestream could only be considered to be a coincidence which would not continue forever. ‘After all, the viewers aren’t idiots, all they want is to be entertained, not to be tortured.
‘But... I will be able to at least ride on this for one more day! I’ve got to take advantage of “I Have A 50-50 Chance Against Tencent” and his popularity!
‘Actually, I know that this person called “I Have A 50-50 Chance Against Tencent” to be just an average player who has decent skills.
‘However, it’s exactly because he has got decent skills and only plays one particular hero in one particular lane that he’s able to leave such a deep impression on the audience.
‘So, if I’m able to contact this person and play a few rounds with him tomorrow, I believe it would be a very popular headline which would be able to bring up my popularity for one more day.
‘Plus, don’t the audience love to watch moments when streamers discover these kinds of passersby?
‘Now... How do I get this person to agree to show up?
‘I’ll pay him an appearance fee then.
‘I think most players who play Honor Of Kings are younger people and aren’t earning a lot of money. Furthermore, this would be a good opportunity for him to become famous. So, I think 700 or 800 yuan as his appearance fee should be enough.’
With that thought in mind, he opened up Honor Of Kings and sent a friend notification to “I Have A 50-50 Chance Against Tencent”.
He believed that this person would reply immediately after seeing his request.
However, the reality was that Su Yang was not interested in dealing with this streamer in the slightest. Or rather, Su Yang was not in the mood to even look at his phone. Instead, he was still immersed in his books and could not extricate himself.
Without uttering a single word the entire night, Su Yang stayed up the whole night and read his books. As a result, he had added seven to eight servers to his Virtual Special Effects Machine Group so that he could speed up the production of “Wandering Planet”.
The next day, Su Yang washed up and went to work. Along the way, he was thinking about how he could earn 60,000 yuan by guiding 60,000 people to have a positive change within themselves.
However... He was still unable to come up with anything.
After he arrived at his office, he saw that Chu Xia was writing a novel. Hence, Su Yang returned to his desk and sat down before he took out his phone to log into Honor Of Kings with the intention of playing two games with Li Zijun. This was because he wanted to repay her debt and complete the second segment of his mission.
However, when he logged into Honor Of Kings, he saw that he had received a friend request.
When he left the game yesterday, Su Yang, who had mild OCD, had already cleared up all the red dots. Therefore, now that they were lit up again, it meant that there was a new notification.
Hence, Su Yang clicked on the friend request section again.
Then, he saw the message that came with the friend request. ‘Hello, I’m Liu Dabai. I’m one of the streamers on Huya. I’d like to discuss a collaboration with you.’
It was a simple and straightforward introduction.
Su Yang was stunned for a moment. ‘Streamer? He wants to collaborate with me?
‘Is he planning to promote my Findme app?
‘But, I haven’t got a livestream section for my Findme app though.
‘Also... Even if there was such a section, no one would actually add someone else in a game to talk about a collaboration, would they?
‘I hope he isn’t a scammer!’
At that thought, Su Yang exited the game and went online to check.
In the end, Su Yang found out that Liu Dabai was indeed a rising broadcaster at Huya and was ranked at one of the top streamers with high traffic. Plus, he had about two to three million followers.
After that, Su Yang checked the streamer’s live stream yesterday and realized that he was the “pro player” that he had killed.
‘I see...’
Su Yang understood what was happening now.
‘However, why is he looking for me though?
‘A collaboration?’
Su Yang thought about it for a while and roughly guessed what was happening. ‘Perhaps I’ve ended up showing up in his livestream, haven’t I? That’s why he’s planning to ride on this popular topic.’
With that thought in mind, Su Yang continued watching the streamer’s livestream. Even though he could not see the comments, he could tell from Liu Dabai’s comments that he had indeed helped improve the effects of Liu Dabai’s livestream.
After understanding the situation, Su Yang believed that this person was not a scammer.
‘Then again... I’ve got nothing to do with a streamer, nor do I have anything to collaborate with him on. After all, I won’t be able to earn coins through him...’
At that thought, Su Yang’s eyes lit up. ‘Wait a minute... It might actually be possible.’
