Chapter 668: Chopped Off His Hands!
A rare look of astonishment appeared on the Clown Sea Serpent’s face. After a while, he laughed loudly and said, “Haha, in that case, I will admire you even more, Master. I will feel like I’ve achieved my goal even more.”
Su Yang looked straight into the Clown Sea Serpent’s eyes. After a while, he nodded slightly and asked, “The only reason why Zhao Licheng had such a strong impression of you was because you deliberately did that, isn’t it?”
The Clown Sea Serpent smiled obediently and said, “Yes.”
[Space Traversing Eyes] judged it as. [Truth].
Su Yang nodded his head. “After you’ve been revived, you deliberately behaved obediently and tamed, causing me to start to become suspicious, this was all so that I would realize my own weakness, wasn’t it?”
The Clown Sea Serpent nodded. “Yes.”
[Space Traversing Eyes] judged it as. [Truth].
Su Yang replied, “Other than trying to make me realize my own weakness, you also wanted to leave me a strong impression of you, isn’t that right?”
The Clown Sea Serpent nodded again. “Yes.”
[Space Traversing Eyes] judged it as. [Truth].
Su Yang replied, “Then, you first showed your brutal side, trying your best to win every single match and create a flawless win streak to try and gain my attention as well?”
The Clown Sea Serpent smiled in a tame manner. “That’s not the case, Master. I wasn’t trying my best to win and make myself seem invincible, but they were really just too weak. So, I couldn’t stay under the radar even if I wanted to.
“The reason I acknowledge you as my master was because I realized that I was still unable to escape that stage despite how weak they were.”
[Space Traversing Eyes] judged it as. [Truth].
Su Yang nodded slightly. ‘Everything’s coming together now. The Clown Sea Serpent is a smart man. At first, he thought that he could rely on himself to leave this stage, so he did not fear me that much.
‘But later on, he realized that I’m the only one who can decide his fate.
‘A smart person’s strength lies in their ability to judge others.
‘When he realized that he couldn’t resist me at all and that I could control his life, he knew that the only way he could survive was by being loyal to me.
‘Therefore, he started to brainwash himself, telling himself that I’m his only master and he is my most loyal subordinate.
‘So, after countless days of brainwashing, even if he didn’t have such thoughts in the first place, he would slowly develop it anyway.
‘This is similar to how Bai Zuo had initially fought for black people’s rights just for his own political aspirations. However, after being brainwashed for days, he actually took the matter seriously.
‘Later on, when the Clown Sea Serpent has acknowledged that he is my most loyal subordinate, he realized that I have a flaw which is being indecisive. So, in order to have my flaw removed, he orchestrated a huge plan by first hinting at Zhao Licheng subtly and using himself as a betting chip to make me remove this flaw of mine.’
Su Yang had made all these guesses when he was on Socot Island, but he was not sure if he had guessed correctly. After all, the Clown Sea Serpent’s words always sounded false. Hence, even though every word he had said was the truth, no one could tell if there was another hidden meaning behind it.
Hence, at that moment, Su Yang thought of another function of the [Burning Reincarnation Circus], the ability to check the loyalty of his permanent actors.
So, the next day, he went to the circus to check the Clown Sea Serpent’s loyalty towards him.
In the end, he found that the Clown Sea Serpent’s loyalty was even higher than Zhao Licheng’s, where Zhao Licheng’s loyalty was rated at 89, while the Clown Sea Serpent’s loyalty was 100.
Hence, according to the evaluation of the circus, the Clown Sea Serpent was already fiercely loyal to Su Yang.
Hence, Su Yang released all of the worries he had towards the Clown Sea Serpent after verifying his thoughts.
However, he also understood that someone as crazy as the Clown Sea Serpent was definitely a double-edged sword. ‘Even if the Clown Sea Serpent is fiercely loyal towards me, he may end up doing things that he thought were beneficial to me, but I did not like.
‘This is just like a similar legend in my hometown. According to the legend, a red clothed female ghost fell in love with the owner of a haunted House boss, but would think of killing him every day, hoping to be able to be together with him forever.
‘So, I will have to be on my guard against people who like to go to the extreme, even if they’re loyal to me.
‘Otherwise, they might one day do something that I would end up regretting, even if they think that it’s “for my own good”.’
Therefore, Su Yang did not remove the [Absolute Verbal Contract] from the Clown Sea Serpent after he sorted out the whole matter. Instead, Su Yang only returned him his freedom.
After regaining his freedom, the Clown Sea Serpent was still pushing his luck. He looked at Su Yang with an evil smile. “Master, aren’t you worried that I will go out and cause a massacre?”
However, Su Yang did not say anything. Instead, he only took out an [Unknown Sticky Note] from his pocket and wrote down the words “Great Axe”.
After he finished writing, with a “Bang”, the sticky note in his hand turned into a great axe.
Su Yang then held the great axe in his hand and walked forward slowly. Then, he raised the long axe high and chopped off the Clown Sea Serpent’s arm under its incredulous gaze.
As blood sprayed out, the Clown Sea Serpent screamed before falling into a pool of his own blood.
Then, Su Yang threw the great axe on the ground and said, “I will only allow for you to say what you’ve just said and the things that you’ve just done this once and this will be a lesson for you. If you do this again, it won’t end so easily for you.”
With that, Su Yang walked over the arm that the Clown Sea Serpent had dropped to the ground as if he was stepping on garbage. Then, he directly went upstairs.
Two minutes after he returned to his room, the door was pushed open gently. Little Deeny poked her head in and took a careful look at Su Yang. “Master, are you alright?”
Su Yang felt much more comfortable when she heard Little Deeny calling her Master even though both of them addressed him the same way. After that, he waved at her.
Little Deeny then walked towards Su Yang obediently and got onto the bed. She then walked behind Su Yang and massaged his shoulders.
Su Yang leaned back against Little Deeny and closed his eyes to enjoy the massage.
After a while, he said, “I’m fine. I’m just a little tired. Let’s never get ourselves such a lunatic again.”
Little Deeny covered her mouth and chuckled before saying, “Actually, things aren’t too bad. The Clown Sea Serpent has just stitched up its own arm and then ran into the courtyard to play with the other little monsters..
“Since the other little monsters ignored him, he kept on pestering them. In the end, Fei Fei sat on him against the pool.”
Su Yang was speechless.
‘This guy is not only a lunatic, but a joker as well.’
At that thought, Su Yang sat up on the bed and walked to the window with Little Deeny, where they could see the courtyard from there.
In the end, they saw the Clown Sea Serpent squatting in the corner of the yard, holding a can of meat and secretly eating it. He looked around as he ate, afraid that he would be discovered.
‘Perhaps he really does have the [Sharp Senses] talent. All I had to do was aly eyes on him and he immediately stopped what he was doing before secretly glancing towards where I’m at.’
When he realized that it was Su Yang, he revealed an awkward smile. Perhaps he was afraid that Su Yang would find fault with him. So... He instantly pulled out his severed arm. Although blood was spurting out, the Clown Sea Serpent was still holding onto the canned meat firmly.
Su Yang was speechless.
‘This perverted man.’
Su Yang retracted his gaze and looked at Little Deeny. “Give him Sanque’s ginseng root.”
Little Deeny said, “Understood.”
Su Yang hesitated for a moment before adding, “Let’s have more canned meat at home as well.”
Little Deeny covered her mouth and giggled. “Okay, Master.”
Now that the incident with the Clown Sea Serpent had come to an end, Su Yang felt relieved.
He had also adopted the idea of only using people he trusted by placing the Clown Sea Serpent on Socot Island to defend it along with Janet.
Su Yang only gave the Clown Sea Serpent one order, which was that no one was allowed to board the island.
Hence, if he were to meet anyone hostile, they would be killed mercilessly.
Plus, the “reward” he offered the Clown Sea Serpent was simple, which was... 300 cans of canned meat.
Perhaps because the canned meat was the first human food the Clown Sea Serpent ate, he had fallen in love with it and needed to eat this every meal...
Therefore, although Su Yang sent him to the deserted island again, the Clown Sea Serpent was still happy and satisfied because of the canned meat.
In the next few days, Su Yang continued to bring his books to work, reading while Chu Xia wrote her novels. This had become a daily constant for both him and Chu Xia’s lives.
However, things were becoming slightly different over the past few days. When Bubbles heard that Su Yang had been going to work for the past few days, she also went to Jiadian E-Commerce Company as well.
This broke the hearts of the special effects workers in the film company, who were working hard on the special effects of “Wandering Planet” every day. In the past, they could at least enjoy having a cute girl visit them, but now, that cute girl had gone elsewhere.
In fact, the ladies at Jidian E-Commerce Company were rather fond of Bubbles. Even though they felt that she was dressed strangely, they still thought that she was very pretty. Chu Xia also liked Bubbles a lot because Su Yang told her that Bubbles was his distant cousin.
‘This should be the first of Su Yang’s family members that I’ve ever seen.’ Hence, she was elated.
Actually, there was a reason why Bubbles looked for Su Yang as well. The video that she created was becoming more and more influential. Other than the millions of likes in the Findme app, there were also many other people who had begun to share it.
Hence, this reminded Su Yang that his Platinum Mission was still stuck at that stage.
Therefore, he quickly opened the Platinum Mission.
[Platinum Road To Zenith: Filming Environmental Protection Public Welfare Movie (Third Round)]
Mission Objective: Shoot an environmental protection public service short film for more than 10 minutes. It requires at least 20 million people to watch it until the end.
Time limit: 2 months.
Mission Reward: Random Prize Voucher*1, next branch’s mission activated.
Status: 13,763,000 / 20,000,000
Su Yang looked at the number of views on that video on his Findme app and realized that there were already more than 11 million views.
‘The number of views on Findme app is more realistic, only allowing for it to be considered viewed once per IP address.
‘This means that at least three million people have seen it.
‘Based on this, it’s proof enough to say that this video’s quite largely shared.
‘However, Even though it’s widely known, it’s still a long way to go before I can complete the mission.’ Hence, Su Yang looked at the requirement where he still needed more than six million people and pondered for a while. ‘It’s going to take too long to complete this if I only rely on my Findme app.
‘If I’m already stuck at the third round, how am I going to complete the next missions?
‘Should I... Think of another way?’
At that thought, Su Yang could not help but recall the little girl that he had saved before, Shasha.
This girl was Tang Xiaomi’s best friend from kindergarten whose parents were the director and producer of Shanghai TV Station. At one time, she was kidnapped by human traffickers accidentally and Su Yang saved her.
In order to thank Su Yang, her parents were really nice to have even interviewed Su Yang and arranged for him to be on the news
‘If I had a good chat with them, I might be able to put this public service announcement on Shanghai TV.
‘In this day and age, even though the viewership ratings of various television stations are constantly being pressured by online media, their number of viewers are still very high. I believe that after a few days of broadcasting on television, it would be easy to break six million viewers.
‘The only question is... How should I have it broadcasted?
‘After all, this clip is 10 minutes long, which is too much. So, no tv station would be willing to broadcast such a long advertisement. They would be practically risking the amount of viewers they have.’
With that thought in mind, Su Yang left the office and gave Tang Jing a call. He asked her to inform Shasha’s mother about this matter and see if she could handle it. If it was possible, Su Yang would be open to a discussion about their conditions and fees chargeable. In essence, everything would be done in the form of normal collaboration.
Shortly after, Tang Jing called back.
