Chapter 614: Absolute Verbal Contract +2
After opening the system, Su Yang looked at his assets. [42 Random Items, 17 little monsters, 7 Bronze Abilities, 4 Silver Abilities, 2 Silver Points, 2 Bronze Points, 5 Random Points, 19 Guardian Talismans, and... 30,412 coins.]
‘Even after having deducted 15,000 coins, I still have 30,000 coins left. I feel really rich.
‘When I descended the virtual space, I’ve spent about 30,000 coins. Now, after two months have passed, I’ve accumulated another 40,000 coins which is actually quite fast.’
Su Yang looked at the Gold Mission.
[Gold Mission: Road To Zenith (4)]
Mission Objective: Lead your business to influence a million people and cause them to have a positive change.
Mission completion details: 148,486 / 1,000,000.
‘I’ve already completed 150,000 for my Gold Mission, but there’s still a long way to go before I can reach the 1,000,000 mark. I know it’s hard to accumulate just based on a daily basis. The most important thing I need is still an opportunity to explode.
‘And that opportunity is... “Wolf Warriors”.
‘As long as “Wolf Warriors” can explode in popularity and have tens of millions of viewers watching it, then with the positive energy from “Wolf Warriors”, I believe that it’s going to be able to lead many people to change for the better.
‘When that happens, wouldn’t the number of coins and the amount of people influenced come in like an endless stream?
‘It’s only a matter of time before I complete the Gold Mission!’
With that thought in mind, Su Yang closed the Gold Mission and returned to the system’s first interface. He clicked on the Silver Point. Instantly, a notification appeared before him.
[Silver Ability has reached its maximum limit and cannot be extracted. Please select a human or a Silver Ability to add a point.]
Su Yang chose [Silver Ability].
Instantly, four options appeared before him:
[Hands Of Fate]
[Space Traversing Eyes]
[Absolute Verbal Contract]
[Truth Or Explosion]
Su Yang chose the third option without hesitation.
[Are you sure you want to add a point onto Absolute Verbal Contract?]
[Yes].
Following Su Yang’s confirmation, he felt as if someone had stuffed a piece of charcoal into his mouth. It was burning hot.
Su Yang opened his mouth instinctively and wanted to spit it out. However, he realized that his tongue was as heavy as a rock and he could not move it at all.
Perhaps sensing Su Yang’s abnormality, Little Deeny appeared in front of Su Yang and handed him a glass of water.
Su Yang took the glass of water and drank it in one gulp. When the water entered his mouth, Su Yang’s burning tongue felt a little better. He then heaved a sigh of relief.
However, the cold quickly passed and the heat returned once again. Su Yang felt his mouth getting hotter and hotter. After a while, the water in his mouth started boiling!
Su Yang felt terrible. He could not help but spit out the water.
The water was like boiling water. It sizzled as it landed on the ground, emitting steam as it turned into mist and floated away.
This scared Little Deeny and she could not help but say in surprise, “Master, did you say too many bad things and are receiving retribution now?”
Su Yang glared at her. ‘You actually still have the mood to joke at a time like this? You’re becoming more and more like me.’
Just when Su Yang could not take it anymore, the burning sensation in his mouth finally subsided and was replaced by a refreshing sensation.
Little Deeny brought Su Yang another cup of water. Su Yang felt much better after drinking it.
At that moment, a notification popped up before him.
[Silver Ability: Absolute Verbal Contract +2 successful, Ability Enhanced, Mutation.]
Following this notification, another interface popped up in front of Su Yang.
[Silver Ability: Absolute Verbal Contract (Level 2)]
Ability Enhancement: You have a chance to forcefully sign a temporary contract with someone every day. The contract will take effect immediately after being signed and it will lose its effect after five minutes. The degree of resistance from the other party will affect the probability of the temporary contract being successfully signed and it cannot harm the other party’s life.
Restriction 3 changes: You can determine whether or not to add the verbal promise made by the other party to the contract within three days (the original day).
Restriction 4 Changes: The number of contracts you may have have increased from 3 to 8.
Note: Why not try blessing this ability? Maybe its potential is beyond your imagination.
‘The strengthening of the [Absolute Verbal Contract] is beyond my expectations. I remember very clearly when I upgraded [Hands Of Fate], It was only its range and time enlarging and its duration increased. Plus, the price of using this ability had been reduced.
‘However, this time, [Absolute Verbal Contract] actually directly increased my ability by one point and the effect of this ability isn’t worse than my original ability.
‘What a pleasant surprise!
‘This is especially the case when it comes to forcefully signing a verbal contract. If used properly, it could be a killing machine. For example, the next time I encountered some kind of danger, I could directly berate the enemy and make them kneel down.
‘If they haven’t got a strong will, they might actually kneel down on the spot.
‘Another example would be when Chu Xia and I are out playing late at night and I tell her to tell her mum that she would be staying at her classmate’s house that night, it might be successful.
‘Even though it would only last for five minutes, at certain critical moments, five minutes is enough!
‘All in all, it’s worth adding a point to the [Absolute Verbal Contract]. What makes me feel even better is that this ability’s [Note] has actually reminded me to bless it!
‘Blessing is different from adding points. It directly increases the level of Silver Abilities.
‘Previously, I’ve obtained a [Silver Ability Blessing Voucher] which increases the level of my Silver Ability. Back then, I’ve directly upgraded my [Heaven’s Eyes] to [Space Traversing Eyes].
‘That level up was super huge!
‘And now, in the notification, there’s actually a notification for me to level up. Based on my experience, all the items that the system had automatically notified me to level up or add points onto have all been good stuff!
‘This means that this [Absolute Verbal Contract] still has potential. Once it’s leveled up, it would become very awesome!’
Su Yang was filled with anticipation!
‘The only problem now is... I have to pray for something to be blessed. But where can I find a [Silver Ability Blessing Voucher]? Can I get one now please?’
Just as Su Yang was thinking about this, his phone rang in the courtyard. Su Yang was stunned. ‘Huh? Who’s calling me?’
At that moment, Little Deeny’s voice appeared. “Master, it’s Xu Lu.”
‘Xu Lu? Why is she looking for me?’
Su Yang picked up the phone call.
Hence, the call was picked up and Xu Lu’s charming voice came from the other end. “Su Yang, do you have time recently? I would like to invite you... Yeap. Let’s have some tea.”
‘Tea?
‘Milk tea?’
At that moment, Su Yang was feeling a little sick of milk. Hence, he replied, “I don’t have much time recently, Xu Lu. What’s the matter? Is there something that you need from me?”
Xu Lu did not get angry at Su Yang’s rejection. Or rather, she could not get angry because she really needed Su Yang’s help.
Some time ago, Su Yang guided her to invest in the stock market and bought the stock called SUNDAY. After that, SUNDAY skyrocketed. For a whole month, the amount of money she invested in the stock market increased by five times.
The capital of 20,000 yuan became more than 90,000 yuan in the end. It was a shocking profit.
But... She wasn’t happy.
That was because she felt that she could have earned more. She originally had 40,000 yuan in her hands, but her cousin thought that Su Yang might be a scammer and forced her to take away 20,000 yuan for her cousin to keep and not let her invest in stocks.
When SUNDAY exploded, her cousin insisted that it was a coincidence.
However, gradually, SUNDAY rose more and more. When Xu Lu’s profits and losses almost surpassed 100%, her cousin could no longer sit still.
After Xu Lu called her cousin, her cousin hesitated for a long time. In the end... She decided not to buy SUNDAY herself because she felt it was too risky.
However, Xu Lu’s cousin was not an inflexible person. Although she did not buy SUNDAY herself, she secretly bought it using all of Xu Lu’s 20,000 yuan.
In her heart, her cousin was thinking that if Su Yang’s words were true, she would give all the money to Xu Lu. If she was right and it would fall, she would compensate Xu Lu with the rest of the money.
Everyone knew what happened after that. SUNDAY increased by almost five times in a month.
Xu Lu had been living in a state of confusion every day for the past month. She was happy that she had made money, but she was also sad that she had lost half of it! She had lost more than 70,000 yuan!
It was not until Su Yang sent her a WeChat message saying that she could sell it and that she would sell it obediently to show off to her cousin that her cousin told Xu Lu that she had bought using the remaining 20,000 yuan after increasing the price over six days.
Initially, Xu Lu thought that her cousin was lying to her. However, when she saw her cousin’s transaction records and the money she had transferred, she finally believed that her cousin had really helped her recover her losses!
At that moment, Xu Lu’s heart was filled with warmth. The month of struggle, sadness and suspicion toward her family had all disappeared.
Even so, her cousin persuaded Xu Lu that she was still young and should not rely on men. Economic status would determine who was in power in their relationship.
If Xu Lu relied on Su Yang to earn money and was not financially independent, she would be no different from a vassal.
If Su Yang used some tricks, Xu Lu might throw herself into his arms and regret it for the rest of her life. Many young and beautiful girls were cheated by rich people.
However, Xu Lu could not listen to her at all. She was still immersed in the excitement of how the money in her bank had gone from 40,000 yuan to 170,000 yuan in just a month!
170,000 yuan! How much was that?
Xu Lu had never seen so much money in her village!
Even after so many years of hard work and investments, her cousin only had so little savings.
On the other hand, she had earned so much in just a month!
However, after the excitement, Xu Lu also asked her cousin if she wanted to buy one.
Her cousin smiled bitterly and said no, because she felt that it was too risky.
Furthermore, her cousin had once again warned Xu Lu about the risk. However, this time, she did not remind Xu Lu about the stock’s risk, but Su Yang’s...
