It was obvious that after the senior management found out that the city was supporting Su Yang, the entire company knew about it.
Actually, before this incident happened, someone in the company had already analyzed the predicament that their boss was in. The city was high and mighty, hence they would not bother themselves for a small company who was being reported. The most they would do is to conduct a casual investigation. However, after they were done, there was a high chance that there would be a problem that they would catch onto, even if there were no problems, they would not come out and clarify it.
Therefore, even if Su Yang was innocent, without the relevant departments support, who would believe that Su Yang was innocent?
Unexpectedly, this time, the city released a rare investigation statement, explaining the whole story.
This practically blinded everyone’s eyes. ‘Are our country’s departments so humane now? They’re even making a statement for a minor company that’s being reported?’
However, when they read the statement, most of them realized that it was just a passing remark. It was a statement in the name of investigating the person who had been reported in Baoshan District.
The statement stated that they had received a letter of complaint from that particular big shot and Su Yang. After the investigation, they found out that Su Yang’s matter was not against the rules. The city wanted to support high-tech industries, so they especially made arrangements to support. They also hoped that more high-tech industries could be established in Shanghai.
As for that big shot, he was still being investigated.
With the endorsement from the city, no one could jump out to say that Su Yang had violated the rules anymore, unless someone found evidence that Su Yang had broken the rules.
However, Shanghai was the economic center of the country. The big shots in Shanghai were all big shots in the country, so who would dare to offend them?
Therefore, Su Yang was akin to being given the “Immunity potion” by a “prophet”, and he was instantly invincible.
In fact, the Shanghai government even came out to testify that Su Yang was a high-tech company and was a project supported by the city. This would be of great help to Su Yang’s company’s reputation, future financing, and loan.
Therefore, it made sense for everyone in the company to cause a commotion.
Just as everyone in the company was overjoyed and excited that the company had survived this disaster, someone suddenly screamed, “Wow! Look at this news!”
The others in the company who were shocked by her asked curiously.
“What news?”
“What? What happened again?”
“Where is it?”
That person said, “I forwarded it to our company group chat. Hurry up and have a look.”
The moment she said that, the others immediately took out their phones and opened WeChat.
There was a news link in the group. They clicked on it and saw a news report:
[Xindu Finances has decided to buy 5% of Jiadian Technology’s stocks at 200 million yuan. Jiadian Technology is approximately valued at 4 billion yuan.]
Next up was the introduction of the investments in Xindu and Jiadian Technology. ‘According to Su Yang’s public announcement, Jiadian Technology is mainly a company that specializes in artificial intelligence and technology.
‘The Big Data AI that’s being used on Findme app comes from Jia Dian Technology.’
This news instantly silenced the entire company.
Another shocking piece of news.
‘200 million yuan, 5%, valued at approximately 4 billion yuan.
‘Every single one of these three figures are shocking. No one has expected that our own corporation would raise so much money for a subsidiary company.
‘Wasn’t the company about to collapse?
‘Based on the analysis online, wasn’t the company about to face loan withdrawals and frozen assets? Wasn’t the capital chain about to break?
‘Why did we suddenly receive such a huge amount of funding?
‘Also... isn’t this valuation too high?’
A series of questions prompted the employees to continue reading. In the end, they saw. ‘The artificial intelligence that Xindu Finances has invested in evaluating Jiadian Technology has already reached the world-class level.
‘Furthermore, Jiadian Technology was not limited to artificial intelligence. It was also involved in other technology industries and it had made great progress. However, because it involved business secrets, it was not convenient to reveal it.
‘Artificial intelligence has reached a world-class level? And it is also involved in other technology industries?’
The employees of Jiadian E-Commerce Company suddenly felt that their company and their boss were a little unfamiliar. ‘Is this really our company, is he our boss?
‘Could he be an imposter?!
‘When did all this research happen? Why haven’t I heard anything about it?’
The news of the press conference did not reveal much, but it caused quite a commotion.
The employees who worked at Jiadian E-Commerce Company were all surprised and relieved, but those who had already resigned were not so relaxed.
They gathered together at the same time. Then, they looked at each other, not knowing what to say.
After all, they had chosen to leave when the company was at its lowest point. Furthermore, because they had applied to leave voluntarily, they did not even receive any compensation that had been legalized by their country.
Initially, they had a better place to go, plus they felt that Jiadian Corporation was about to collapse, so they left so casually. However, now... It seemed like they’ve missed out on something.
This strange experience seemed to resonate amongst them.
They were silent for a long time. Then one of them said in a low voice, “I don’t think it’s appropriate for us... To say that we’re not leaving now, is it?”
The office fell silent.
After a while, another person added, “It’s definitely inappropriate now. What have we become? We’ve already made our decision, so we might as well walk this dark path until the end.”
The person next to him retorted, “At least my treatment has improved a lot, so it’s not like my path is a dark one. Who knows, it might even be a very bright path.”
His words garnered everyone’s approval. They all expressed that they had made the right choice. After all, it was for the sake of living a better life.
Amidst the laughter, everyone felt a sense of foreboding...
When Su Yang found out about the news, he was almost done with work. He did not return to Jiadian E-Commerce for the entire afternoon. Instead, he stayed at the film company to supervise the “battle”.
For some reason, although the film company was a little restless due to the influence of the Jiadian E-Commerce Company next door, everyone worked hard and put in a lot of effort. This made Su Yang feel gratified.
‘These technicians that I’ve poached with a high salary are indeed much calmer and more assured.’
When it was over working hours in the afternoon, Su Yang praised the people from the film company and promised them that they would all go out for a team building activity once the project was completed.
Immediately, the morale of the film company rose.
‘Indeed, no matter when, profit is always the most effective way to win people over.’
After work, Su Yang bumped into a few employees of the Jiadian E-Commerce Company on the way. All of them had smiles on their faces as they greeted him and congratulated him, leaving Su Yang confused.
However, Su Yang would always ask questions when he did not understand something. Hence, as he jogged home, he asked Little Deeny what was going on.
Little Deeny had eight avatars conducting experiments in the artificial intelligence laboratory that day and only two of them had to help Su Yang collect evidence on Sun Hao. Hence, she did not have time to check Shanghai’s official website. It was only after Su Yang reminded her that she did a quick search.
In the end... Little Deeny shrieked and Su Yang almost fell down from fright.
It was not until Little Deeny told Su Yang everything that Su Yang understood what happened and why Little Deeny was so agitated.
‘Hmm. In this case, all my concerns have been resolved. It’s time to fight back!’
With that thought in mind, Su Yang contacted Mr. Jia and asked about the progress of the matter. Then, he started to make things difficult for Sun Hao.
He did not even return to the villa and logged into Weibo. After reposting Sun Hao’s Weibo post, he sent Sun Hao a lawyer’s letter that he had prepared beforehand. He asked Sun Hao to delete the Weibo post on a limited date and apologize publicly for infringing on his reputation.
On the Weibo post, Su Yang also explained why Sun Hao would make such a public statement against him. It was because both their companies belonged to the same industry and Sun Hao wanted to suppress his competitors by defaming them.
Li Zijun had also started to publicize the entire incident through her connections in the media.
With the cooperation of both parties, the public opinion on the internet instantly reversed.
This was especially so after “someone with ulterior motives” dug out that Sun Hao was the one who had tricked the whole internet and promised to give 10 million yuan, but in the end, he only gave 100 yuan. After he returned the money to the boss of the company, the situation became completely one-sided.
This was how netizens were like. They were easily influenced by public opinion and easily influenced by emotions.
Therefore, very quickly, Sun Hao and the [in] app’s official Weibo account was flooded with countless curses and criticisms.
Sun Hao was stunned. He had not expected things to turn out this way.
However, he was not alone. He had his own backer, so he quickly called the Fengs to ask for help. After all, he was in this situation because of the Fengs
The call went through and Sun Hao called for help like he was grabbing onto the last straw. “Ms. Feng! Ms. Feng! You’ve seen what happened online. What should I do next? Can you remove these?”
Sun Hao had seen the relationship between the Fengs and the media before, hence he felt that removing those posts would be a piece of cake for the Fengs.
Unexpectedly, the eldest daughter of the Fengs was silent for about ten seconds before she said, “Let’s wait for a moment before we discuss about this.”
With that, she hung up.
Sun Hao listened to the busy tone on the phone and did not come back to his senses for a long time! He had no idea what had happened. ‘How did it turn out like this?
‘Are the Fengs planning to discard me?
‘Isn’t it just an announcement from the city? Is there a need to be so afraid?’
Just as Sun Hao was confused about the situation, the Fengs were even more so!
As a family with influence in the country, the Fengs believed that they had done everything flawlessly. Every step was carefully planned.
They even called Ying Tianhou and sent a bunch of headhunters to poach Su Yang’s employees by offering double their original salaries. They wanted to force Su Yang into a dead end.
But... Who would have thought that as Su Yang ended up in a dead end, the Jiangs would jump right out from that very dead end as well!
That’s right, the Jiangs.
If it were based on the statement made by Shanghai city, the Fengs would merely think that Ying Tianhou had gone back on his word. However, once Xindu Finances announced that they were investing in Jiadian Technology, everyone would then know who was backing Su Yang...
