Xindu Finances was actually an investment company located in Xinxing. It did not invest much in industries. On the surface, it did not have a lot of shares in major companies. In fact, even some people within the investment circle did not know what the nature of this company actually was and had only treated it as an ordinary medium-sized company.
However, only those within the upper hierarchy would know that this was the Jiangs’s property, and it was the core property that was only handed down within the family.
Only when the direct descendants of the Jiangs felt that the company was worth investing in and would reap them huge profits, or if the person was recognized by the Jiangs, would they invest using this company.
To put it bluntly, this was an official statement from the Jiangs. The purpose was to announce to the public that the Jiangs was backing up Su Yang’s company.
In the past, Xindu Finances had invested a few times. Later on, all of those companies became pillars of the industry, while some even became super large companies that could influence the lifeline of the country.
And today, Xindu Finances has announced its investment in Jiadian Technology...
‘I don’t understand how Su Yang could be related to the Jiangs. The last time I sent a few assassins to kill him and they ended up disappearing without a trace, I began investigating him.
‘Then, my investigations led me to the conclusion that Su Yang is an eerily dangerous person... There seems to be someone backing him up, yet at the same time, it seemed like there wasn’t. He began his journey by going up against the Jiangs. But did he know who the Jiangs were? They’re a huge driving force within the country.
‘There are less than three people within the country who are stronger than the Jiangs. If Su Yang has such a strong background, why would he stay in Shanghai? He could just go back to Central and do whatever he wants.
‘Although it was true that some people from big families would leave Central and go to other places to train, there has never been someone like Su Yang would start from scratch with no support at all.
‘Even Zhao Xiao, an illegitimate son of the Fengs, had been given a large sum of money before he was sent to Shanghai to develop.
‘Therefore, after analyzing for a long time, the Fengs concluded that Su Yang did not have anyone backing him up. Even though he won the conflict against the Jiangs, it was very likely that he had something on the Jiangs or had come to some other secret agreement with them.
‘After we figured out Su Yang’s background, many of his future matters had been explained. Su Yang was just bullsh*tting, he did not actually have anyone backing him and was merely using his victory over the Jiangs to scare others.
‘Then, others began to believe that Su Yang had some kind of background since they were not clear about the reality of the matter, coupled with the fact that the Jiangs had been rather evasive of him.
‘Of course, there were also people who suspected that Su Yang was merely putting up a facade. However, who would be willing to take the risk of offending a powerful force and create trouble for no reason?
‘The Fengs are!
‘The Fengs and Su Yang are sworn enemies. Firstly, our illegitimate son died in his hands. Then, a team of assassins that had been nurtured for many years were all annihilated by him.
‘If I don’t get rid of Su Yang, not only would Old Master be extremely furious, I’m guessing even the lower ranking people would have complaints as well.
‘Hence, the Fengs have already landed in a difficult position!
‘Therefore, after analyzing the 90% probability that Su Yang was bullsh*tting, the Fengs decided to take the risk and deal with him.
‘Furthermore, we have learned from our previous experience of using underhanded methods to deal with Su Yang. Thus, we decided to crush Su Yang fair and square.
‘Initially, everything was going according to my plans. However, we did not expect the Jiangs to step out and help Su Yang!
‘How could it be the Jiangs!
‘I was certain that I had checked many times. Back when the Jiangs were humiliated by Su Yang and ended up with a loss, they were enemies and not friends!
‘Where did it all go wrong exactly?!’
Feng Li’s mind was in a mess, she didn’t know how she could possibly explain the situation to her cousin. If she angered Old Master of the Jiangs, the Fengs wouldn’t be able to bear the consequences!
‘What should I do now?’
Just as Feng Li was filled with worry and anxiety, the phone on her table rang again. She looked at the phone on the table with annoyance, thinking that Sun Hao was disturbing her again.
When she saw the caller, her expression froze, and she quickly picked up the call.
“Hello, cousin.”
There was a calm voice on the other end of the line. “I know what happened. Let’s stop the plan for now.”
Feng Li quickly said, “What if Old Master finds out about Feng Xiao...”
The voice on the phone said, “It’s fine. I’ll talk to him.”
“Now that the Jiangs are in the picture, we have to show them some respect. So, let’s stop for a while, I’ll go talk to the Jiangs personally.”
“If the Jiangs aren’t willing to show me some respect, I’ll ask Old Master to personally talk to that person from the Jiangs if push comes to shove.”
“I refuse to believe that that person from the Jiangs was the one who arranged this. As long as it’s not that person, everything’s negotiable.”
“Our family’s blood debt must be paid with blood!”
“But... Now is not the time.”
After Feng Li heard what her cousin said, she was finally able to be relaxed. “Alright.”
When she hung up, Feng Li sighed deeply. “I hate that I have to accept this...”
However, no matter how unwilling she was, the leader of the Fengs had already given the order, hence Feng Li could only obey. Therefore, she told her subordinates to stop spreading rumors online and stop all their activities.
Many people were paying attention to the fight between Su Yang and the Fengs. The moment they gave in, the upper echelons of Shanghai knew about it.
That was why the people within the private circle had a gathering to discuss the matter. “Young Master Ying, do you have any inside information?”
Young Master Ying was a tight-lipped person, he merely shook his head. “I’m not sure. I’ve been busy with my company’s matters recently, so I don’t have the time to pay attention to these things.”
Seeing that Young Master Ying did not want to talk about it, the person could only ask someone else, “Do you guys have any news? What is Su Yang’s background actually? Didn’t he have a grudge with the Jiangs? Why is the Jiangs suddenly siding with him?”
“I don’t know.”
“I don’t know either. My Old Man didn’t say anything.”
The Second Generations were actually quite curious about the matter. However, after asking around, they realized that no one knew about it and they felt even more mysterious.
‘Su Yang has once fought with the Jiangs and won. This time, he ended up victorious again in his fight against the Fengs. If the first time was a fluke, the second time shouldn’t be already.;
The Second Generals, who had already felt that Su Yang was a mysterious person, now found him even more mysterious.
‘Could he really be a powerful person...?
Only Young Master Ying, who was drinking in the private room, was secretly pleased with himself. ‘Do you see now? I guess I’m still the smarter one. I know what it means to turn enemies into friends, I also know what it means to be of help when someone is in need.’
With that thought in mind, Young Master Ying took another sip of wine smugly. “This feels awesome!”
That night, Su Yang went out and passed a bag of documents to Mr. Jia. Mr. Jia nodded at Su Yang and left with the documents.
The next day, everything was peaceful. The entire circle was strangely quiet. Now that the Fengs had stopped all activities, Sun Hao did not have the guts to even make a move. Even Su Yang, who had just won the first round, did not do anything. He did not even post an update on Weibo, thus there was now nobody who was guiding the flow of the matter.
However, the news of Su Yang being reported disappeared without a trace. Instead, there were now many articles praising Su Yang on the internet, all of it were news about how Su Yang was young and promising. Also, the company that he founded was involved in various industries and had a strong momentum, making him the leader of young entrepreneurs at that moment.
Furthermore, Su Yang did not forget his original intention. Not only did he actively give back to society, he also took the initiative to do a series of social charity activities. He was truly a young and talented man.
The articles were all actually soft articles that Li Zijun had paid for...
Su Yang read a few essays and was secretly amused. After thinking that whatever the articles stated about him were right, he stopped reading any further.
On the third day, Su Yang did not do anything, and no one else dared to make a move either. The entire situation felt as though a certain storm was approaching soon.
On the fourth day, Su Yang still did not do anything, causing the atmosphere to become even more tense.
On the fifth day, still, nothing happened. The people who were paying attention to the incident started to suspect that they were overthinking things... ‘Is Su Yang not planning to take revenge? Could it be that he had already taken his revenge after sending the lawyer’s letter on Weibo?
On the sixth day, everything remained the same, nothing. Even the popularity of this news on Weibo had died down. Sun Hao and [In] Company’s Weibo had not been criticized for two days.
Initially, Sun Hao was a little afraid that Su Yang would take revenge on him. However, he heaved a sigh of relief when he saw that Su Yang had not done anything for almost a week.
The people in Shanghai and Hangzhou’s upper echelon had been paying attention to Su Yang’s actions for the past two days. In the end, nothing happened. They hesitated for a moment. ‘Is Su Yang really that easy to bully? He’s already been so heavily bullied, yet he doesn’t even retaliate?
‘No matter how powerful the Fengs are, Sun Hao is just the boss of a business. Su Yang should at least retaliate a little to assert his strength, shouldn’t he? Yet he’s merely sent a lawyer’s letter? In that case, how’s this different from a certain celebrity?
‘If Su Yang doesn’t even dare to take his revenge after winning, then it’s no different from when he didn’t win.’
On the seventh day, everything was peaceful. The popularity of this incident had passed, no one paid much attention to it anymore. They thought that perhaps both parties had admitted defeat, or perhaps they had reached an agreement privately, thus the matter should have ended.
This kind of thing was not uncommon. Many families would fight until their brains ran out of juice before they turned around to shake hands and make peace. In the society’s upper echelons, there was no such thing as eternal enemies, only eternal benefits.
On the eighth day, just when no one was paying anymore attention, a huge piece of news suddenly blew up the internet and the upper echelons of Shanghai and Hangzhou. Sun Hao was taken away by a police officer at the headquarters of [In] Company.
This sudden reversal stunned everyone.
‘What happened?
‘Sun Hao was taken away?
‘Why?
Due to the sudden turn of events, the people of Shanghai and Hangzhou who had been paying attention to this matter were not able to react in time. Initially, someone had asked in the group chat. ‘What happened to Sun Hao? Why was he suddenly taken away? I haven’t heard anything about him recently.’
‘ That’s right. I didn’t hear about what he did.’
‘Has he offended anyone?’
However, someone slowly came back to his senses and asked. ‘Could it be because of Su Yang?’
‘I don’t think so, could it?’
‘Su Yang’s just taken his revenge?’
‘F*ck! Could it really be done by Su Yang?’
‘Is he this ruthless?’
Very soon, more and more information came from the front. Some people from the [In] Company said that Sun Hao had been invited to investigate the case, not taken away.
But at such a sensitive time, who would believe such a thing!
Su Yang was obviously retaliating!
Who would have thought that Su Yang would suddenly retaliate when everyone thought that he was done with his revenge?
Furthermore, his counterattack was so thorough and ruthless! He took Sun Hao down in one fell swoop! Sun Hao did not even have a chance to retaliate.
Everyone’s evaluation of Su Yang increased by a lot. ‘Su Yang was able to maintain his composure and wait patiently for the right opportunity. Furthermore, the way he retaliated is enough to show how calm and ruthless he is.
‘But what sort of strategy did he use for his retaliation?
‘How did he manage to make a police officer take action?
‘Could it be that he had found something against Sun Hao?’
Other than shock, everyone was confused. They only knew that Sun Hao had been taken down, but they did not know how he had been taken down...
Everything was a mystery.
Therefore, everyone had racked their brains and used all sorts of methods to find out the truth behind this matter. ‘How exactly did Su Yang retaliate? What excuse did he use to have Sun Hao apprehended? What kind of evidence did Sun Hao accidentally leak out into the enemy’s hands?’
