Chapter 691: Daruma Butt
When they arrived at the kindergarten. The yard was filled with parents coming and going. Plus, there were the sounds of children’s laughter in the hallway and... The sound of a little boy crying.
‘Crying?’
Su Yang followed the sound of the crying and saw a little fatty squatting at the corner of the corridor on the first floor, crying softly.
Su Yang was about to walk over to ask what was going on when he saw Tang Xiaomi holding Shasha’s hand as they walked out of the classroom.
The two girls were about the same height and they both looked cute. Then, they both walked towards the little fatty and Tang Xiaomi gave him a piece of candy. Then, like a little adult, she said, “Don’t cry, Shasha didn’t do it on purpose. Besides, you’re mainly to be blamed, so you shouldn’t blame her. Here, take this candy and let’s move on.”
The little fatty raised his head to look at them. Then, he used his arm to wipe his nose and accepted the candy. After saying “thank you”, he actually stopped crying, which made Su Yang want to laugh. ‘Children were so easy to coax.’
He watched the three of them chat for a while. When they were done, Su Yang called out, “Xiaomi.”
When Tang Xiaomi heard Su Yang’s voice, she turned around in surprise. The moment she saw Su Yang, her eyes lit up. Those bright eyes of hers were like those of a little deer, shimmering brightly.
She smiled sweetly, revealing two cute dimples at the corner of her lips and let go of Shasha’s hand before she ran over to Su Yang. “Su Yang! Why are you here?”
Su Yang carried her with a smile and said, “Here I am. Your mommy is working overtime today, so I’m here to bring you home.”
When Tang Xiaomi heard that, she laughed. “Hehe. Why isn’t Mommy working overtime for a few more days?”
Su Yang then knocked her head. “How could you say that about your mommy?”
Tang Xiaomi covered her head and laughed in embarrassment.
From the moment they met till Xiaomi’s reactions, Su Yang realized that Tang Xiaomi really missed him.
Su Yang was elated. ‘At least this means I wasn’t the only one who thought so. Well then, it seems that I haven’t been wasting my efforts loving this little girl.’
However, after meeting Tang Xiaomi this time, Su Yang realized that she seemed to have grown up.
Perhaps it was because they had not seen each other for a long time, but Su Yang felt that Tang Xiaomi seemed to have become heavier and taller. Furthermore, She was starting to look like an actual girl.
‘I suppose that’s only natural. After all, she’s already six or seven years old, so she’s gradually growing up into a teenager.
‘Children would always grow up without us realizing it.’
At that thought, Su Yang put down Tang Xiaomi and patted her head. Then, he held her hand and said, “Come on. Let’s go say goodbye to your teachers before we go home.”
After that, Su Yang went to meet the teacher with Tang Xiaomi and the teacher interrogated him relentlessly. Even after Tang Xiaomi repeatedly told her that Su Yang was her cousin, the teacher still gave Tang Jing a call to reconfirm the truth of the information before letting Su Yang leave with her.
As he led Tang Xiaomi out of the classroom, Su Yang noticed that Shasha and the little fatty were still squatting there.
However, the little fatty stopped crying and chatted with Shasha. ‘It seems like the two of them have reconciled.
‘Seeing the two of them together, they actually seem quite compatible.
‘Yeap... Shasha has some baby fat as well.’
After Su Yang and Tang Xiaomi said their goodbyes to Shasha and the little fatty, the two of them left the kindergarten.
After they got into the car, Su Yang asked Tang Xiaomi, “Why was that little boy crying?”
At the mention of this topic, Tang Xiaomi could not hold it in anymore. She covered her mouth in the backseat and laughed exaggeratedly but still refused to say anything.
It was not until Su Yang kept insisting that Tang Xiaomi told him the whole story.
It turned out that the little fatty was friends with Tang Xiaomi and Shasha. Then, perhaps because he had eaten too fast during lunch, he ended up with a bloated stomach which made him feel uncomfortable in the afternoon.
Later, in class that afternoon, he wanted to fart...
However, he had a feeling that it would have been a loud fart, but he did not want to attract everyone’s attention. So, he used his butt to move the chair with the intention of covering up the noise from his fart with the noise from the moving chair.
At that moment, Shasha, who was sitting beside him, saw it and asked softly, “What are you doing?”
Shasha actually asked in a very soft voice, but perhaps because the little fatty was feeling too guilty, he became nervous and fell down along with his chair. What was even more embarrassing was that his fall was so loud that everyone involuntarily looked over. Furthermore, at that moment... His fart was released...
Hence, this little fatty became popular in class.
The children in the class all thought that this little fatty had farted and knocked himself down, so they all laughed at him and gave him nicknames such as “Superbutt”, “Stinky boy”, “Daruma Butt”, etc...
The little fatty was so angry that he cried, even blaming it on Shasha and ignored her for the whole afternoon.
When Su Yang heard about this, he became speechless for a long time.
‘Children’s world really is... Full of wonders where anything could literally happen indeed.’
However, when he thought about how the little fatty had fallen and farted, he found it hilarious and almost laughed out loud.
‘Daruma Butt... How did they even think about this nickname?
‘Then again... It does really suit him.’
‘However, as funny as it is, I have a feeling that the little fatty probably has a pretty serious psychological trauma now... I hope that this incident won’t end up bothering him for a long time. Amitabha, please bless him.’
When he reached home, Su Yang called Tang Jing with the intention of asking her when she would be home. However, Tang Jing did not pick up the phone, but she did reply on WeChat, saying that she was in a meeting and would be back at 8pm.
Hence, Su Yang looked at the time and decided that he would bring Tang Xiaomi to the virtual space to play since it was still some time before Tang Jing would finish her work.
As soon as they entered the virtual space, Tang Xiaomi started to enjoy herself, ignoring Su Yang as she played happily.
Children are known to be full of energy, Tang Xiaomi was carrying Dagger Girl in her arms, riding on Little Hus around the yard as they chased Little Monster Beans everywhere. In fact, they even knocked Fei Fei into the pool.
Looking at Tang Xiaomi helping him vent his frustration, Su Yang felt really good as he looked at them from the sky garden on the third floor. Little Deeny, who was sitting beside him, looked at Tang Xiaomi with a big smile and said to Su Yang, “Master, it’s such a blessing to have a sister like her.”
Su Yang nodded. “You’re right.”
However, time flies whenever one is having fun. At 7:30am, Su Yang brought the reluctant Tang Xiaomi out of the virtual space.
Tang Xiaomi almost cried when she saw the little monsters waving at her. Clearly, she wanted to continue playing.
However, Su Yang did not want to use another one of his slots in the [Absolute Verbal Contract], so he brought Tang Xiaomi back to the villa before Tang Jing returned.
Back at the villa, Tang Xiaomi was throwing a tantrum. Her cheeks were puffed up like a bun and she was pouting as she paced around Su Yang.
The most pitiful thing was that Tang Jing seemed to be working overtime. She clearly said that she would be back at 8pm, but she only reached home at 11pm. On the other hand, Tang Xiaomi grew tired of circling around, so she fell asleep on Su Yang in no time.
However, Su Yang suspected that she might have knocked herself out. If you don’t believe him, you could try circling around someone 100 times, you would also feel faint from it.
By the time Tang Jing returned, Su Yang had already carried Tang Xiaomi to her bed and covered her with a blanket. Hence, he was waiting alone in the living room.
Tang Jing did not notice any lights within the villa, hence she opened the door gently, took off her high heels and carried them as she crept inside. Her feet, clad in black stockings, made almost no sound when she stepped on the marble floor.
Even though she did not make a sound, it did not mean that Su Yang could not see her. After all, he was not blind.
Hence, Su Yang coughed. “Ahem, I see that Sister Jing has returned home.”
Tang Jing was startled and looked in the direction of the voice. She took a closer look and saw Su Yang playing with his phone in the living room. However, Su Yang had adjusted the brightness of the screen so she did not see him when she entered the villa.
When she saw Su Yang, Tang Jing put down her shoes in embarrassment before she changed into a pair of slippers and walked over. “You’re still awake?”
Su Yang nodded. “That’s right. A certain someone said that she would be back at 8pm. I’ve only waited until the third 8pm arrived, so how would I dare to sleep?”
Tang Jing said embarrassedly, “I didn’t expect the meeting to take so long. It was already 8pm by the time the meeting ended. So, I would’ve definitely been late, considering I had to travel back from Hangzhou. Fortunately, the high-speed rail was still operational. Otherwise, I might have to stay in Hangzhou today.”
Su Yang asked, “Did you have so many matters to discuss? What did you talk about?”
Tang Jing opened her bag and took out a small notebook for Su Yang.
Su Yang switched on the lights and listened to Tang Jing’s explanation as he read through her notes. “The meeting today was mainly about Juduoduo’s recent development, so I sat in to listen as an investor.
“Juduoduo has been developing very fast recently. Huang Zheng is a very courageous person. In the beginning, he pulled many business owners into the app. Then, he started a large-scale advertisement. Thanks to Huang Zheng’s method of attracting people, they ended up spending very little to be able to obtain their customers. In just two months, their DAU (daily active user) has reached 500,000 people.
“However, no matter how low the cost was, it’s still a certain amount. Therefore, after recruiting so many users, Juduoduo has depleted the money that we’ve invested in them previously. Hence, they’re planning to start their Series A financing now.”.
Su Yang’s eyes lit up as he asked, “How much does he intend to be financed for?”
Tang Jing flipped to the second page of the notebook and pointed at the first line of data. “USD 0.08 billion.”
Su Yang thought for a moment. “That would be 56 million yuan, wouldn’t it?”
Tang Jing nodded. “Yes, that’s right.”
Su Yang asked, “How many shares is he willing to give for that amount?”
Tang Jing said, “7.7%. The external valuation is probably over 7 billion yuan.”
Su Yang calculated for a moment. ‘The current 7.7% would end up appreciating to around 15 billion yuan over the next five years.
Su Yang asked, “Is anyone willing to match this price?”
Tang Jing nodded seriously. “Yes, Gaorong Capital.”
Su Yang was stunned.
Su Yang, who had a certain understanding of the domestic capital market, knew how important that name was.
‘Gaorong Capital, one of the top 10 venture capital companies in the country who have over a total of 10 billion yuan in USD and RMB under management funds. Furthermore, there are many familiar companies behind them as well, such as SoftBank China, Baidu Ventures, DCM and so on.
‘On top of that, the companies that Gaorong Capital has invested in aren’t simple ones as well such as Xiaomi, Tudou, Assistant 91 and so on.
‘Therefore, it won’t be easy to compete for food that they’ve got eyes on.’
Tang Jing continued, “Also... I asked Huang Zheng about his intentions in private. He very frankly said that he is more inclined to look for foreign capital.”
