After the two of them finished chatting, the rest of the people from the film company entered the screening room one after another.
As the lights turned off, the movie started.
Because this was not the released version, there was neither an introduction nor any censorship. Instead, it went directly straight to the movie itself.
The story started with Leng Feng’s introduction and his background.
“Leng Feng, male, rank: Sergeant, post: Sniper. Due to an unauthorized action during a mission, causing the death of the suspect, he is required to be under administrative supervision according to the rules.”
Accompanied by the background introduction, Leng Feng and two soldiers were walking toward the investigation room.
Then, the scene changed and the camera returned to the story of Leng Feng being interrogated after killing the suspect.
“I didn’t think I was killing anyone, all I felt was that I was saving someone!”
“It feels absolutely great to be able to save a comrade.”
“It’s my duty to kill my enemies on the battlefield.”
“How confident are you?” “50%?” “What about the other 50%?” “I don’t have the other 50% in me!”
Wu Feng’s eyes widened as he stared at the screen in amazement. Anyone would have instantly been able to recognize when something was done by a professional.
‘The first ten minutes of the movie is perfect. Be it the color scheme, the post-production sound effects, the plot arrangement or the bridging of each shot, everything is smooth and exciting.’
Just by looking at the start, Wu Feng could tell that Su Yang’s post-production standards were very high!
Wu Feng, who was initially a little worried about Su Yang’s finished product since it was done in a little over a month, instantly felt relieved.
He could not help but look forward to how the effects of the remaining movie would look like.
The plot developed bit by bit and the movie entered the storyline where Leng Feng was sent to the Wolf Warrior Squadron by a helicopter.
This plot was the first time Wolf Warrior Squadron appeared in the movie and it was also the most powerful storyline in the early stages.
‘Initially, I was worried that Su Yang would not be able to handle it well. But now that I’m seeing it myself... This is simply brilliant! It’s even more perfect than I expected!’
Armies from all aspects including land, sea and air swarmed out. Tanks covered the mountains and plains, surrounding Wu Feng. A tank’s cannon was aimed at Wu Feng’s face. Wu Feng had an enhanced close-up shot on his face! Combined with the passionate music and the changing shots between the various armis, the entire effect was explosive!
Wu Feng looked at how his shots had been brought to play so flawlessly and could not help but feel a chill run down his spine.
Initially, when Wu Feng watched the movie, he had come to observe the movie from a professional perspective. But, when he watched the movie up to that point, he was completely immersed in the movie. His heart was completely focused on the movie.
As the movie continued to play, Wu Feng became more and more immersed in the movie. The harsh editing style, the methodical yet unexpected restructuring of the plot and the vivid special effects completely brought out the movie exactly as he wanted!
‘This feels exactly like the movie I wanted to make! No! This is even better than the movie I originally intended to make!
‘If the “Wolf Warriors” in my heart is supposed to be 100 points, then this “Wolf Warriors” is 120 points!
‘The difference in points is because of the post-production!
‘The special effects, the editing, the music! It’s simply amazing!
‘I no longer have any doubts towards him anymore!
‘This Brother Su of mine really is quite something!’
After watching the movie, thunderous applause sounded out in the screening room!
Wu Feng was the first to stand up and clap, while the other employees of the film company also stood up and applauded!
Although most of the work in the past month and a half had been done by the employees of the film companies, the production of the special effects, the dubbing and all the manual labor had been handed over to them by Su Yang.
Even though the movie was 150 minutes long, they were all involved in every single minute of it.
However! This was the first time they had seen a film in its entirety.
Over the past half a month, they would only obey Su Yang’s orders like a puppet. However, they did not actually understand much of what was happening. After all, their specialty was more in special effects.
But now, after the entire movie was released and they watched the special effects in the movie, they suddenly understood the arrangements Su Yang made during that time.
‘Oh, so that’s why he wanted the sound of the field’s trumpet to be placed here, it’s to accentuate the protagonist’s state of mind...’
‘Oh, he requested to add in two more frames for that special effect to add in an illusion for the next scene...’
‘Oh, the reason this clip was cut out from this point was to change to the next scene...’
And so on and so forth.
Tonnes of details made the movie’s scenes, special effects and plot seem even smoother and exciting when it was combined together!
Therefore, when Yun Wu Feng stood up to applaud, they could not help but follow suit.
Not only were they amazed by the movie’s brilliance, they were also proud of Su Yang and themselves. After all, this movie was produced by them!
After the applause ended, Su Yang stood up with a smile and gestured for everyone to sit down. Then, he said to Wu Feng, “Brother Wu, how do you feel?”
Wu Feng gave him a thumbs up without hesitation and said, “I’ll be honest with you, Brother Su. Actually, I was very nervous when I came here today. Even though I’ve seen for myself how good you are, this movie is really important to me, so that’s why I came here with the intention of picking on some bones with you.”
“I wanted this movie to be perfect, so I needed to scrutinize everything to make sure it happens.”
Su Yang smiled and asked, “Well then, has it reached that level?”
Wu Feng raised his thumb again. “Not only has it reached that level, it’s even surpassed that level by a long shot!”
He said excitedly, “Brother Su! The standard you have here is absolutely amazing! I’m going to be relying on you completely so that I can win my comeback battle!”
Then, the two of them left the screening room to discuss the rest of the movie. The movie was almost done, all that was left was to get it reviewed before it could be released.
Su Yang did not have any special requests. He only hoped that this movie could be released as soon as possible. After all, he was still waiting for the release of “Wolf Warriors” in order for him to complete his Gold Mission.
This coincided with Wu Feng’s thoughts.
Due to the loss incurred from his previous movie, Wu Feng had to fork out most of his investments for “Wolf Warriors”, causing him to bear most of the financial pressure. Therefore, he wanted to receive his capital back as soon as possible.
As for the question about whether Wu Feng was going to be able to regain the capital he lost...
It was a question that Wu Feng had never considered before!
Wu Feng was indeed worried when he was filming the movie. However, after watching Su Yang’s amazing special effects and editing, he no longer doubted whether the movie would be profitable!
‘If this movie still doesn’t make any money, I’m really going to be suspicious if what Little Cannon said was true!’
Other than that, after watching “Wolf Warriors”, Wu Feng did not hesitate to continue persuading Su Yang into joining the production team for “Wolf Warriors 2”
‘Where else am I going to find a company that’s able to produce such explosive special effects and amazing post-production?
‘They’re definitely top-notched in comparison to their other competitors within the country!
‘Especially since I didn’t need to spend any money and only needed to convert it into the market price. Definitely a worthy deal!’
Therefore, even though Su Yang already had the priority to renew the contract with “Wolf Warriors”, Wu Feng still started to pull Su Yang in beforehand just to be safe.
Wu Feng may be a smart person, but Su Yang was no fool either. He had previously told Little Hus to sniff the project and had already known that the project’s sequel could also be profitable.
Even though Su Yang did not know how much he could earn from the sequel, after knowing Wu Feng, he felt that Wu Feng was a reliable person. Furthermore, during this crisis, Wu Feng also took the risk of the movie being put to a halt to stand on his side. Hence, he was someone who SU Yang could be friends with.
Therefore, Su Yang agreed without hesitation.
Thus, a director who was confident that their movie would definitely make money and could now film a sequel was akin to having cheat codes activated. Since it was known that the movie would be profitable and for the sake of his friend who was also a producer who had hit it off immediately, they began discussing the investment and shooting plans of the sequel before the movie was even released.
The two of them roughly discussed their shares in “Wolf Warriors 2”. Su Yang received a 45% investment share based on his post-production and special effects and enjoyed the same proportion of profits and movie rights.
If the special effects script was finalized and there were not many special effects, Su Yang could make up for the shortages in cash.
Other than that, the two of them chatted for a while. If the production team’s fundraising did not go well, Su Yang could invest more.
After all... Su Yang was rich now.
As long as “Wolf Warriors 2” was still a positive movie that could direct people into having a positive change, it could bring Su Yang a large amount of money and the number of people influenced. In that case, Su Yang could even throw in all the hundreds of millions of yuan he had!
Su Yang was even willing to pay if the movie was going to make a loss!
‘I’ll do anything for my Gold Mission and coins!’
After discussing the collaboration with “Wolf Warriors 2”, Su Yang sent Wu Feng off on his way, which he considered to have resolved one of his internal conflicts in the meantime.
‘Now that all the post-production work is done, all that’s left is the review and release of the movie. That’s all Wu Feng’s business.’
Su Yang did some calculations. ‘Even though my investment amounts to 70 million yuan, due to my [Advanced Post-Production Ability], I have only spent about 25 million yuan in the end.
‘In addition to the five million yuan that had to be spent because of the [Advanced Production Ability], that would come up to a total of 30 million yuan.
‘This is actually much cheaper than the market price.
‘Enjoying a revenue of 70 million yuan just by spending 30 million yuan, just this on its own is already a huge haul for me.’
After the “Wolf Warriors” incident came to an end, the God Mission could be considered to have been completed in all aspects. All that was left was to wait for the movie to be released.
Next up, Su Yang could now focus on his Platinum Mission. Su Yang had always coveted the Platinum Mission Rewards. Putting aside the Platinum Points, the rewards for the chain mission itself were not bad.
Therefore, when he reached home that night, Su Yang took a look at the time. ‘There’s still three to four hours before Janet’s countdown timer ends.’ Su Yang did not intend to stay at home and wait for Janet. Instead, he used [Space Traversing Eyes] and traveled across the Pacific Ocean to reach Socot Island to look for clues beforehand.
A bright flame flew across the sky, leaving a trail of bright light behind its path before finally arriving at Socot Island.
Thankfully, time stopped when he was traversing through space. Otherwise, Su Yang would have been captured by the satellite.
After landing on Socot Island, Su Yang identified the direction and followed the route based on his memory to the shore of the shark’s nest. The [Not so lonely Basa Fish... Meat] was still floating there. Several sharks swam around it like they were seeking pleasure.
Su Yang had a feeling that... ‘I might have just thrown in a blow-up doll and attracted a bunch of perverts.
‘Especially when it’s a big and white piece of Basa fish meat. Yeap... This looks weird.’
Su Yang walked to the shore and stood at a spot which was slightly further away from the sharks. Then, he began sizing up the sharks.
The sharks were about one to three meters long. Their bodies were spindle-shaped and their heads were wide and flat. Also, their bodies were thick and long and their tails gradually became thinner and smaller.
Su Yang got Little Deeny to check and found that it was a commonly seen shark near Hawaii, the Tiger shark.
‘Tiger sharks are nocturnal sharks. They hunt for food in shallow waters during the night and in deep waters during the day. They are fierce and greedy by nature.’
After understanding the breed of these sharks, Su Yang continued to observe them.
Some of the sharks looked normal, but there were wounds on their heads that looked like they had been strangled. Su Yang studied them and realized that there was more than one. There were eight sharks altogether and three of them had similar wounds.
‘That’s strange...
‘If there’s something in the sea nearby that could harm sharks, they couldn’t have come up with such similar wounds, could they?
‘Moreover, even if their wounds are similar, there shouldn’t be any lacerations...
‘This is just too strange.
‘So what’s going on?
‘Could it be caused by humans?
‘But I’ve never heard of any shark catching tool that could cause such a wound, have I?
‘Furthermore, this place doesn’t seem like a good place to hunt for fish, so why would someone be hunting sharks here?
‘This is all just too strange.’
Just as Su Yang was thinking about that, a few English words came from behind him. “Did you really see those sharks swimming near the shallows?”
“It’s true, Smith. Yesterday, I drove the yacht and searched the area for a long time. In the end, I saw them gathering near a circular puddle on the island. I also saw a white shark in the puddle.”
The first voice asked, “A white shark? Could it be a Great White? How could there be such a shark near Hawaii?”
That person replied, “That’s why I’m surprised too. It must be a precious species. If you can capture it and turn it into your specimen, you’re definitely going to become famous!”
Su Yang stood up in surprise and looked in the direction of the voice. Then, he saw a few tall western men armed to the teeth walking over.
The leader was a young man with golden hair, an arrogant face and a muscular body. Beside him was a man with black hair and blue eyes. They were the ones who had been chatting earlier.
Behind them were three bodyguards in field suits, sunglasses and rifles.
When Su Yang saw them, they also saw him, causing the two groups of people to meet coincidentally.
Su Yang looked at them from afar and asked in fluent English, “Who are you? Why are you on my island?”
The five Westerners could not help but stop in their tracks. They looked at each other and the young man in the lead asked, “Japanese?”
[Space Traversing Eyes] judged it as. [Disdain], [Probing]...
Su Yang did not answer them. Instead, he issued a warning for the first time. “I officially bought this island a month ago, so this is my private property. Please leave.”
When the five westerners heard that, they laughed and walked over. The young man who was the leader sized Su Yang up and asked, “Korean?”
[Space Traversing Eyes] judged it as. [Disdain], [Probing]...
Su Yang was annoyed by him and pointed at his chest. “Chinese!”
A trace of curiosity appeared in the young man’s eyes. After a while, he scoffed. “So what if you’re Chinese? This is America. This isn’t your country!”
[Space Traversing Eyes] judged it as. [Disdain], [Disdain]...
While he was talking, the guide beside him was also looking around. He happened to see the [Not So Lonely Basa Fish... Meat] and the eight sharks not far away.
He hurriedly tugged at the young man and said, “Smith, look. There’s the white shark.”
Hearing that, Smith quickly looked in the direction of his finger and saw a few sharks on the shore.
His eyes lit up and he strode over.
Su Yang frowned as he called out to them in his heart, “Stop! This is private property!”
The young man frowned and shouted, “Get lost!”
Following his shout, the three bodyguards behind him raised their rifles and aimed at Su Yang...
