When he got into the car and told the driver that he was going to the junkyard, the driver glanced at Su Yang before he stepped on the accelerator and drove across 2 streets with Su Yang. Then, they arrived at an abandoned courtyard before the driver dropped Su Yang off.
Su Yang paid the fare and walked in to take a look. There was a mountain of rubbish and many abandoned items. Also, there was an old man who was arranging a few broken pots.
Su Yang walked over and asked the old man, “Sir, do you sell Coca Cola bottles here?”
The old man raised his head and looked at Su Yang. His ears might not have been very good, so he asked loudly, “Sell what?”
Realizing the situation, Su Yang could only lean closer to his ear and shout, “Coca Cola bottles!”
“Oh, oh.” The old man understood and nodded. “Yes! I do sell them! 1 cent each!”
‘That cheap?’
Su Yang shouted, “Sure! I’ll take 150 bottles please!”
The old man nodded. “150 bottles? Sure!”
Seeing that the old man agreed, Su Yang took out his phone and was about to transfer the money to the old man. At the same time, the old man took out a dirty handkerchief from his pocket and opened it. Then, he licked his dirty fingers and counted the case within his handkerchief... 15 yuan.
As Su Yang looked at the 15 yuan that was being passed to him, Su Yang held his phone in his hand and was dumbfounded.
The old man waved the money and asked, “Where are your bottles?”
Su Yang was confused.
‘You must’ve misheard me old man! Did you hear me saying that I was selling it to you instead?
‘That’s why I was wondering how it could possibly be so cheap!’
Su Yang thought about it for a moment and realized that it might have been a miscommunication between them instead of the old man mishearing. Hence, he shouted again, “Sir! I’m not selling! I want to buy it! I want to buy plastic bottles!”
The old man’s ears perked up. “What are you selling?”
Su Yang replied, “Plastic bottles!”
The old man said, “I know what plastic bottles are! 150 bottles, isn’t it? Here’s 15 yuan!”
Su Yang was completely speechless...
‘Forget it, I might as well buy Coca Cola instead of trying to save money.’
Within the “Wolf Warriors” film crew, after Wu Feng had just been dragged away by the ambulance. The line producer stepped up to take charge of the situation and temporarily took over the production team.
However, at that moment, everyone was in a state of panic and did not have the mood to continue filming, hence the line producer decided to adjust the entire production team’s plan. They would only prepare the set for that day instead of filming.
Perhaps it was because setting up the set was physical labor and would not have been affected by emotional changes, so everyone’s work gradually improved.
Just as the production team settled down, Su Yang returned with 20 boxes of Coca Cola.
“Everyone! Gather round! It’s such a hot summer at the moment, come get some Coca Cola to drink! Don’t be shy and help yourselves.”
The line producer was confused.
‘Drinking Coca Cola?’
Even though he had no idea why Su Yang bought so many bottles of Coca Cola or why he was giving out Coca Cola at that time. However, at least it wasn’t a bad thing, plus it was done with good intentions, so the line producer agreed.
Very soon, all the departments sent their representatives to line up to retrieve the Coca Cola from Su Yang and bring it back to their own departments.
However, when they were moving the Coca Cola, Su Yang reminded them one by one, “You, yes, I’m talking to you. You’re from the photography department, aren’t you? Take the Coca Cola away, once all of you have finished drinking it, remember to put the bottle back into the box and return all of it to me.”
“You. that’s right, I’m talking to you, Skinny Boy. You’re from the makeup department, aren’t you? Take the Coca Cola away, but remember to bring back all of the empty bottles. I’ll be coming for you if I find out that there’s any missing.”
Although the representatives from the various departments did not understand why Su Yang wanted the empty bottles, none of them were willing to cause a scene with an investor over such a small matter. Hence, all of them agreed.
Hence, Su Yang sat on a chair and distributed Coca Cola boxes by boxes while waiting for them to finish drinking and return the empty bottles.
As for why he did not use the [Little Bench That Refuses To Eat Melons] to produce 150 bottles... The moment he got out of the bench, all the items would disappear! There was no way for him to keep them!
Soon, the people from all the departments returned with the empty bottles.
There were 12 bottles of Coca Cola in a box and he bought 20 boxes of it, making it a total of 240 bottles. Even if 90 people had accidentally lost them, he would still have enough, so Su Yang had prepared a lot extra. So, after Su Yang accumulated 150 bottles, he happily asked the people he hired to deliver the empty bottles back to his hotel room.
Of course, in order not to attract attention, he had those people move in batches.
After transporting the items to the hotel, Su Yang placed the bottles into the virtual space before entering it himself.
Su Yang had bought all the other stuff when he was buying Coca Cola, so everything was ready except for crafting the special item!
After placing all the items in the front yard, Su Yang opened the system store and fixed the production video for [Sofa of Unknown Abilities] before his eyes. Then, he clicked on [Produce].
He had seen the production method on the way here. It was just gluing bottles continuously without any technical content whatsoever, but it was very environmentally friendly...
At the same time, Wu Feng had finally been pushed out of the hospital’s debridement room. His neck was sewn with two stitches, but since he was using a microneedle which was extremely fine, it was almost unseeable.
However, the doctor still told him not to perform any strenuous exercise for the next half a month or the wound would split open easily. If that happens, Wu Feng would have to go back to the hospital.
Although Wu Feng agreed on the surface, his heart was extremely heavy. “Wolf Warriors” was very, very important to him.
Previously, he had produced and directed “Legendary Assassin” himself, but it was a complete landslide, hence he was in a financial crisis at that moment.
Although he had to make a tough decision to sell his house just so to raise some money, it was far from enough, despite when even some of his best friends supported him and forked out some of their own money as well.
After various hardships, he finally found Su Yang and “tricked” him into investing in special effects and post-production of his movie. Finally, he managed to build up the framework for the movie.
He had thought that his luck had turned for the better and he could finally film the movie that he wanted to film. However, he did not expect to run into an accident like that right after the movie started.
‘Half a month! This would undoubtedly be a disaster for my newly formed crew!’
Wu Feng did some calculations himself. ‘Within just this half a month of absence, just the economic losses alone would be over 10 million yuan!
‘However, economic losses aren’t the most important thing here. The most important thing is that the support I’m receiving from the military has a time limit. The Lingnan Park that the military has lent, the guns, tanks, and the instructors sent have all been strictly regulated...
‘I can’t put all of these on hold just because of my injury.
‘By the time I’ve recovered, the military support will be gone and the movie is finished.’
Therefore, as soon as he arrived at the ward and settled down, he gave a call to his good friend, Lu Jian, who was also the line producer in the film crew. “Little Jian, how are things with the crew at the moment?”
Lu Jian did not answer the question. Instead, he asked, “Are you alright already?”
Wu Feng explained his situation helplessly. Lu Jian frowned when he heard that.
Then, the two of them talked about the crew and analyzed the problems they were facing.
The two shared the same opinion. With the current situation, they needed to change the entire shooting plan. They needed to make adjustments where Wu Feng could focus filming his dialogue scenes or the other actors’ scenes in the forest.
Then, after Wu Feng had recovered, he would have to work overtime to film his action scenes.
That would definitely increase the cost, but it was already the best way to mitigate their losses.
After the two of them finished their conversation, their hearts felt heavy as there was only silence on the phone.
After a while, Wu Feng asked, “Speaking of which, where’s Mr. Su? I need to talk to him about this. After all, he’s an investor in the movie.”
When he heard Wu Feng asking about Su Yang, Lu Jian couldn’t help but laugh. He let out a sigh and said, “Sigh, Mr. Su is such a wonderful person. After you were hospitalized, he informed me about it and left the production team. After half an hour, he brought 20 boxes of Coca Cola and gave them to the crew.”
“Ah...” After Wu Feng heard that, he was stunned for a moment. Then, he could not help but laugh. “Maybe he’s trying to help me stabilize the crew.”
Lu Jian replied, “I think so. But the funny thing was that after they were done drinking, he took the empty bottle back.”
Wu Feng was speechless
The two of them chatted for a while longer before hanging up.
After talking to Lu Jian, Wu Feng ignored the nurse’s warning gaze and called Su Yang.
“Du... du... du...”
Su Yang’s clear voice came through the phone. “Brother Wu, are you out of the operating theatre already?”
Wu Feng smiled and said, “No, I didn’t enter the operating theatre at all, I was only sent to the debridement room.”
He continued, “By the way, I still have to thank you. The doctor said that it was fortunate that the bleeding was stopped in time. Otherwise, my life might have really been in danger.”
At that moment, Su Yang was using duct tape to wrap around the Coca Cola bottle. He smiled and replied, “It’s fine. We’re all friends. Moreover, we’re business partners, so I’m still counting on you to help me earn big bucks.”
Su Yang’s words were very true, but Wu Feng did not take his saving for granted just because of what Su Yang said. He knew how dangerous the situation was at the time.
‘If it wasn’t for Su Yang, the consequences would have been dire.’
At the thought of this, Wu Feng suddenly realized that Su Yang was truly unfathomable. ‘He’s involved in the research of artificial intelligence, he’s raising sharks and he’s a rather good painter. Yesterday, I heard from Instructor Liu that he knew how to operate a tank and today, I witnessed his medical skills first-hand.
‘This person... is practically a bug.’
Once again, Wu Feng had the thought of the need to build a good relationship with Su Yang.
Coupled with the fact that Su Yang had saved his life, Wu Feng was thinking about how he should repay Su Yang...
As he thought about it, Wu Feng suddenly thought of “Wolf Warriors 2”. Actually, when he was writing the “Wolf Warriors” script, he had already chatted with a few screenwriters about the sequel. Even the outline and character designs were almost done.
‘It just so happens that there is a role of a boss of a Chinese company in Africa. According to the character’s description, that role would be considered to be the second male lead. This character is a rich guy who’s a bit cynical and may not seem to care much about anything, but deep down, he’s a very kind person.’
As he thought about that, he realized that Su Yang seemed to be very similar to that character...
So Wu Feng asked, “Mr. Su, do you know how to act?”
At that moment, Su Yang was busy taping the bottles together and did not hear him clearly. He could not help but ask, “What do you mean by act?”
Wu Feng said, “Acting in a movie.”
Su Yang was still in a daze. “I think so.”
Wu Feng slapped his leg. “In that case, Mr. Su! Why don’t you become the main lead in “Wolf Warriors 2′′?”
