Chapter 369 Little Hus+3, New Form, New Ability
Since he was a glorified salted fish who had no objectives, Su Yang opened up Xu Lu’s profile and scrolled through. He realized that most of her posted pictures in the past were selfies.
‘Hmm... This is a senior who likes to take and post her selfies.’
‘This means that someone has replied to me.’
Su Yang scrolled up and realized that Xu Lu had actually replied to him, ‘Pork stocks? Do you mean investing in the stock market?’
Su Yang was silently mocking her in his thoughts, ‘What else could it be? The stock for making soup? It’s the middle of the night, why’s she asking such a ridiculous question instead of sleeping? I really can’t be bothered to reply.’ In the end, despite his unwillingness to reply, Xu Lu did not give him a chance to refuse her. Since he did not want to reply to her message on her post, she directly messaged him privately.
With a sound, a new WeChat message arrived.
Su Yang closed his newsfeed and saw that there was a red coloured bubble which said ‘1’ right next to Xu Lu’s chat box.
Su Yang clicked on it. ‘Su Yang, were you referring to the stock market earlier?’
‘Tsk’. He repeated what he had said a moment ago...
Su Yang replied. ‘Yes.’
Xu Lu asked. ‘Are you investing in the stock market at the moment?’
[This was nothing worth hiding for him, hence Su Yang admitted. ‘Yes, I am investing in the stock market, plus I am investing in pork stocks at the moment.]
Su Yang took a screenshot of the stocks he had and sent it to Xu Lu...
At that moment, Xu Lu was lying on her bed, quietly playing with her phone.
She shared a two-bedroom apartment with another girl. Xu Lu was living in the second bedroom which was slightly smaller, hence the price was slightly lower as well. Xu Lu viewed her room as her sanctuary. The room was a little messy with her cosmetics, clothes and lingerie strewn all over the place. However, there were many little stickers that girls liked on her dresser and her cupboard. These little accessories added warmth to her room.
The room was air-conditioned, possibly due to it being the summer season. However, the air conditioner did not seem to be working very well because there was a buzzing noise everytime the air conditioner was operational. Plus, a tube was dangling by the side with water dripping out of it constantly. There was a small red plastic bucket underneath it to catch the leaking water, Xu Lu had put it there obviously. The bucket was half loaded with water inside, evidently the air conditioner had been on for a long time.
At that moment, Xu Lu was naked as she laid on the bed with a thin blanket covered over her delicate body. However, she looked even more alluring by only covering up some parts of her body.
‘After all, men would have more desire when they find someone... mysterious’
Xu Lu had preferred to sleep naked since she was in high school.
Perhaps it was because she had gone through a decent puberty period and had developed well, she always felt that it was a waste of her assets to be covered by clothes.
She loved her body as much as she loved money. In her heart, these were the two most beautiful things in the world...
Xu Lu was quite thrifty with her money due to her love for it. Aside from buying the necessities and cosmetics she needed, she would be saving up her money.
She enjoyed watching the balance in her Alipay account increase bit by bit and gained an extreme sense of pleasure by doing so. However, she was not very happy today. This was because when she went to the market to buy some meat to cook, she realized that the price of pork had increased substantially. Xu Lu would usually like to enjoy some meat every once in a while and felt sad at her revelation. Therefore, she posted it on her WeChat to complain.
Unexpectedly, her male idol, the eligible bachelor that she desired so much, Su Yang, had actually replied to her!
At that moment, the melancholy in her heart dissipated and she took the opportunity to chat with Su Yang
She seemed to have a natural ability of making a man unable to reject her. Thus, with just a few sentences from herself, Su Yang started chatting with her and even sent her a screenshot of... his stocks.
Xu Lu took a deep breath when she saw the amount Su Yang had invested in his stocks which was uncountable in his screenshot and her body was trembling with excitement.
She zoomed in on the photo excitedly and pointed at the total amount of stocks Su Yang had. She counted them one by one with a serious expression. ‘tens, hundreds, thousands, ten thousand, a hundred thousand, a million...
‘5 million!
‘Oh my God!’
Xu Lu, who had never seen so much money in her life, could not contain her excitement.
‘Su Yang has so much money!
‘If he has invested so much money in his stocks, imagine how much money he had on hand!
At the thought of this, Xu Lu swallowed her saliva and tried her best to suppress her excitement. Her fingers trembled as she sent a message to Su Yang. ‘I see... Could you teach me how to invest then?’
After a while, Su Yang sent her a reply. ‘I’m actually a newbie myself. However, if I’m able to obtain any accurate information, I’ll let you know about it. That way, you should be able to earn some money just by following me.’
When she saw Su Yang’s message, Xu Lu was so excited that her palms were sweating...
‘Imagine the tens of millions of tycoons who would want to be guided by you!’
She quickly replied. ‘Alright then! I’m counting on you!’
After sending the message, Xu Lu immediately decided to create a stock account within the next few days and transfer her savings of 20,000 yuan in order to earn money with Su Yang!
Furthermore, she had already thought about it. ‘I won’t hope to make too much money, as long as it was not a loss. After all... if I’m able to have more interaction with Su Yang by investing in the stock market, it would already be a wine for me!
‘As for making a loss... I don’t want to think about that right now, I’m afraid that I might lose it.
‘Plus, if I’m able to get Su Yang to be with me, I won’t ever have to worry about money anymore. But... I don’t know if I’ll be able to do it successfully so it would still suck if I had to lose my money in investing. After all, I’ve had to go through leaps and bounds to save up the 20,000 yuan which I had been saving up since I was young...’
Xu Lu’s heart ached at the thought of the miniscule amount of savings she had. After some thought, ‘I had better not put in 20,000 yuan for now and go for 10,000 yuan first instead... ‘Anyway, all I need is a chance to get in contact with Su Yang...’
At that moment, Su Yang, the salted fish, had no idea that Xu Lu was going through so much conflict with herself. He calmly put away the virtual interface and stood up. “The countdown for Little Hus’s cocoon is finally going to end...’
As the countdown ended, countless cracks appeared on the surface of the cocoon of light that had been floating silently in the air. Then, it exploded.
Following the explosion, a bright orange light spilled out!
Su Yang, who had been hurt twice before had already closed his eyes.
The light swept through the entire backyard, but the Little Monster Beans did not seem to be affected by the light. Instead, their eyes widened as they turned to look at the source of the light. Su Yang closed his eyes and quietly felt the shockwave that came after the cocoon’s explosion. ‘Should I open my eyes now?’
‘However... it’s quite comfortable to keep them closed. How about I keep them closed for now.’
Just as he was about to completely become a salted fish, he suddenly heard a dog barking.
‘What?
‘Where is this barking coming from? Could it be Little Hus?
‘Has Little Hus’s wish come true? Has it turned into a dog?
Su Yang was surprised.
‘I can’t believe it. Too many abnormal things have happened recently. I’m literally getting whatever I wished for!
‘Even Little Hus, the bolster who could never have hoped to have his wish granted even after ten thousand years is finally getting what he had wished for?
‘Could it be that the system was doing a big giveaway because of it being 11th of November?’
With that though in mind, Su Yang opened his eyes.
In front of him was a big dog with its ears shooting straight up...
The dog’s ears were triangular and were both standing upright, its ears were slightly rounded at the tip.
Its eyes were blue and it looked like they had some shattered stars hidden within them. There were three white marks on his forehead like three burning flames. Its tail was like a brush and it was wagging happily.
‘Is this Little Hus?’
Su Yang was surprised.
Based on his shallow understanding of dogs, ‘It... really does look like a husky!
‘Its ears, its eyes, the marks on its forehead and even its tail, all of them were indeed traits that a husky would have. But...
‘Why was it made of cloth!’
Yes, that’s right. Little Hus did actually turn into a husky, but it was a husky made of cloth...
At that moment, the little husky was all smiles. It chuckled at Su Yang. “Su Yang! Su Yang! Look, I’ve turned into a dog!”
Su Yang was speechless.
He gave off a dry laugh. “I guess you’re right.”
‘However... Is it really a dog? It should be either a plushie or a bolster since it’s made of cloth, shouldn’t it?’
Su Yang looked at Little Hus. ‘Other than being made of cloth, Little Hus looks like something that’s from another world. It was no different than a normal husky other than being a little cuter.’
It lowered its head and looked at its feet. After a while, it suddenly jumped up and hopped on all four from the ground. Then, it barked proudly.
Su Yang was speechless.
“This dog has gone mad.
‘No, wait... this toy has gone mad.’
Looking at how excited Little Hus was, Su Yang kicked its butt. “Behave yourself!”
Perhaps because he used too much strength, his slippers flew off.
Little Hus howled and hid to one side while its butt felt the pain from Su Yang’s kick.
After hiding, Little Hus glared at Su Yang and gave him a husky stare. “Why did you kick
me?”
Su Yang glared at it. “I worked so hard to add a third point for you, and you merely changed your form?”
When Su Yang said that, Little Hus felt a little guilty. Su Yang asked, “Do you not smell your own scent?”
Little Hus straightened its neck with an expression that said, ‘What are you going to do about me?’
Su Yang was speechless.
‘It’s all making sense now.’
A fake smile appeared on Su Yang’s face. “I think you might enjoy a trip to the washing machine.”
Little Hus screamed, “Hold on, hold on! I feel like I’ve still got hope!”
Su Yang looked at it and maintained his smile. Little Hus pointed at itself. “I feel like I might have a special ability.”
Just as it said that, an interface appeared before it.
(Bolster+3: Form evolved and obtained a new talent.)
A rare occasion happened to Little Hus as two options appeared...
Actually, Su Yang had made the realisation after adding so many points to the monsters, ‘All monsters have different potentials. Some monsters could gain a few changes just by adding one point, while some would only gain one change after adding one point to it. For example, Little Hus...
‘This time, it has gained two of them. This feels awesome.’
He clicked on Little Hus’s new ability, and the introduction for the new talent appeared before him.
[(Special Talent: Puppy’s Ambition]
Talent: Every bootlicker looks forward to the goddess’ response, so you only need to touch this bootlicker. With a face above 7 points, if you have a good impression of her, or if she has a good impression of you, she will look for you within 24 hours.
Restriction 1: Each person is restricted to being affected only once per day.
Restriction 2: Effective only on humans.
Restriction 3: If you don’t have a goddess that you have a good impression on or vice versa, this talent cannot be triggered.
Note: Although I am a bootlicker, sooner or later I will marry Janet. Woof woof!
Su Yang was speechless.
This thing, why does it feel... weird?
Su Yang looked at Little Hus. ‘Wasn’t Little Hus the one who needed this talent the most?
‘And... it’s a talent, not an ability. Which means it can’t be deactivated.
‘So... I’ll have a “goddess” looking for me whenever I run into Little Hus... ‘Hmm... how annoying!’
