This time around, Su Yang had prepared everything for the system’s upgrade.
This was not only because of the increasing number of monsters in his various industries, but also because his finances and power were far greater than before, and he had enough funds to purchase all kinds of equipment for research.
Because Su Yang had a system with him, he treated money like waste paper.
No matter what kind of research equipment it was, as long as he felt useful, he would buy it all.
As a result, when he added a point, not only were there layer after layer of monsters around him, there were also dozens of research equipment.
Many little monsters, such as Spirit Building, Martha, and the scientists that Su Yang had summoned with the [Burning Reincarnation Circus] were all waiting in front of these equipment, ready to observe the process of having a point added.
With so many devices, if it were not for the portal through the virtual space, they would not even be able to operate in Antarctica.
Other than the equipment, Little Deeny also followed Su Yang’s orders and sent out many drones to monitor the situation in Antarctica..
More drones were placed far away from the South Pole to monitor how large the range of influence was.
To be safe and to conceal everything, Last Building, who had a brand new body, even activated her [Dimensional Black Mist] to conceal all traces.
When everything was ready, Su Yang tapped his finger lightly.
The moment he touched it, a blue ray of light exploded from his body.
It was a brighter light and color than the last time. It looked like an azure sky, a blue ocean with an unparalleled energy.
If the light the last time was like the moon, then this time, it was as hot as the sun.
After Su Yang’s body exploded, the blue light seemed to have a life of its own as it continued to disappear into the distance.
Wherever he went, everything underwent a crazy transformation.
In the past, the light would at most transform the living beings, but this time, even the terrain seemed to have changed.
Perhaps due to the “heat” of the blue light, many icebergs collapsed with a loud rumble before falling into the cold seawater.
However, the weirdest thing was that some icebergs started to grow crazily like they had received energy replenishment.
Su Yang could see two icebergs rising from the ground, one on the left and the other on the right, raising their sharp tips towards the sky.
Even the mountain range had such a mutation, let alone living beings.
The polar bear roared and began to mutate. Its fur grew longer and dragged on the ground. Its body began to glow with a silvery white light, and its eyes gained more intelligence...
The penguin’s wings began to grow, eventually transforming into a pair of wings made of long flesh. With a flap, it could glide...
Sea leopards, sea lions, sea elephants, and even all the creatures in the Antarctica were evolving into higher life forms.
Little Deeny controlled the drone in the sky to follow the blue light. Her expression turned grim.
This time, the light was much brighter than the last time. The light had already exceeded the radius of Antarctica and started to spread towards the surrounding continents.
Even though there were few humans in this area, there were too many creatures.
Little Deeny felt like something might go wrong...
In fact, during this period of time, the mutated animals and plants of Hawaii had been on the news in various countries.
After all, although most mutated animals could not show their high latitude due to insufficient energy, there were always exceptions that showed their mutation.
These plants and animals that had changed overnight, even though they were few in number, attracted the attention and curiosity of plantists and zoologists around the world.
They all rushed to Hawaii to study the mutated animals and plants.
However, due to the limitations of modern technology, there were no results.
However, they discovered that the climate in Hawaii had changed. It was more suitable for plants and animals, and even for human life. Therefore, they wrote many reports.
And at a time like this, if something larger than mutation happened in Antarctica and was discovered, Little Deeny really couldn’t believe the consequences...
All the countries were not fools. If it was just one place, they might suspect that there was a special reason.
If there were two or three mutated places, it was hard to guarantee that they would not start to suspect him..
Like an alien experiment, etc.
When the investigation came, it would be very troublesome.
Little Deeny continued to monitor the blue light worriedly.
While she was focused on her work, she did not realize that the sharks that had been waiting near Antarctica benefited the most.
Even though sharks were not used to the cold belt climate, Janet still transferred all the sharks he could control to Antarctica in order to benefit hia race the most.
After that, he told them to get as close to the South Pole as possible.
For example, some sharks that lived in tropical regions would not be able to get close, but there were still many temperatures. Even the sharks that lived in tropical regions went deep into Antarctica.
Apart from that, the Greenland Sharks. Such sharks originally lived in the Arctic and the North Atlantic waters. Now, for the sake of Janet’s summons, they traveled miles and miles... And were eventually transferred to the South Pole by Janet in virtual space.
Under the blue light, these sharks began to mutate. They became stronger, fiercer, and even carried cold air.
As they swam, the water around them would suddenly form some crystalline ice residue. After they swam, they would silently melt. Clearly, this was the water that was frozen by the coldness of their bodies...
Su Yang snapped out of his daze and called out the system. Then, he looked at the time.
‘672 hours.
‘Only 28 days...’
Su Yang was surprised.
Compared to the last time when he only needed to wait for four hours, it was seven times longer.
‘I wonder what kind of decent stuff is going to get added this time.’
However, Su Yang had a premonition that maybe... There was not going to be that much change that time.
This long period of time was more like preparation for the system’s final upgrade or final function.
Even though the time it took to add the point was exceptionally long, fortunately, like before, when the system added points, all the abilities and special items could be used normally.
Su Yang first asked the scientists if they had found anything. After getting no useful reply, Su Yang returned to the virtual space and returned to Shanghai.
Although the system was having a new point added, he could not stop working.
The earlier he took control of the whole world, the earlier his “work” would be completed, and the earlier he could “retire”.
With that thought in mind, Su Yang once again immersed himself in work.
Time flew, and three months passed.
A lot had happened in the past month.
Under the influence of Su Yang and the financial magnates of America, America officially held a hearing for the CEO of Facebook for an explanation as to why he sold nearly a billion people’s information and was suspected of manipulating the country’s election.
The CEO of Facebook went on stage with a smile on his face. Then, he declared that everything he did was legal and did not break any laws.
However, Facebook was only a business company. If someone spent money, they would naturally sell their service. This was a normal business activity. As for the information obtained from the “British Analysis”, it was under the rules of Facebook.
It gets the information at a cost of real money to users, who offer it voluntarily. Facebook has no reason to object to this deal.
Facebook’s CEO’s calm demeanor in the face of danger and the row of big shots around him, had convinced many people.
Su Yang frowned.
Looking at his response, Su Yang could not help but sigh. ‘Times might have really changed... The time of my old acquaintances might really come to an end.’
Su Yang was not the only one who had this thought. His old acquaintances had also realized how difficult it was to deal with their opponents.
However, they also knew that time was not on their side.
‘If this drags on, it’s going to be harder for us to win.’
So they started using their media and state resources to put pressure on them. Big tech companies like Facebook, which has 2 billion users, have evolved into “Kleptocracy” and are too big to be effectively regulated.
After they released the news, members of the country’s parliament quickly expressed their concerns about the matter, arguing that the state did not apply to the regulatory model of global technology giants like Facebook.
“We thought they were just neutral public companies, but they were actually commercial entities seeking to maximize their benefits,” the congressman said of Facebook.
“When a company becomes so big, it will not only be a threat to democracy, but also a threat to the state system. They absorb capital and the profits of small companies, creating unfair competition.”
At this time, perhaps they had been bribed, the recording of an executive from Facebook was exposed.
In the recording, the executive said, “This is nothing. We just sold the election to the highest bidder.”
Even though he did not know the whole story, this recording still caused a huge commotion.
Finally, with the support of financial giants, many congressional parliamentarians unite and propose an initiative that if Facebook cannot be effectively regulated, it should be nationalized to ensure that its actions are in the public interest.
While America was in chaos, the country was celebrating.
Because... At the end of March, the World’s Billionaires’ List also released the list of the country’s richest people for 16 years.
In this list, Su Yang was probably the one who changed the most.
As a new tycoon who had just entered the rankings two years ago, after two jump in ranks, he directly reached the top of the list.
After all, a 24-year-old tycoon was standing at the top of the list. How scary was that?
The scariest thing was that Su Yang’s wealth far exceeded the second place.
Jiadian Group, Samsung, Hyundai, and a bunch of other companies made Su Yang’s wealth break through the trillion yuan mark.
Even the list of tycoons gave Su Yang a “this estimate is only a portion of Su Yang’s wealth for reference”. After all, everyone only knew that Su Yang had previously earned hundreds of billions of dollars from Japan and then acquired Samsung and Hyundai.
After that, no one knew what Su Yang did.
Even at that moment, how much was Jiadian’s glass phone and its extended functions worth?
Because of Jiadian Group, in 16 years, Future was listed in America and its stock price soared. With the Jiadian Battery in the picture, it even surpassed Mercedes-Benz and became one of the top five car companies in the world.
Even though everyone knew that the stock price of Future was a little low, they did not dare to say it out loud. After all, who knew if Future would really become the future of the auto industry with the help of JIadian Group...
Of course, the people in the country were not happy about the World’s Billionaire List.
This ranking was too far away for them to understand.
The reason why they were happy was that with Su Yang’s current net worth of more than a trillion yuan, if converted to USD, it would definitely exceed a hundred billion yuan or even two hundred billion yuan.
One had to know that last year’s global bill was only 79.2 billion USD. It was still far from Su Yang.
According to the predictions of various experts, Bill Gate’s investment failed last year, his assets did not rise, and even fell.
In that case, there was no way he could surpass Su Yang.
Which means...
There was a 100% chance that Su Yang would be the richest man in the world this year!
China’s first richest man in the world!
This was a joyous occasion!
Although many people were envious of Su Yang’s wealth, when China reached the top of the heavyweight rankings for the first time, they still cheered.
Over the past few decades, China has been suppressed by the international environment. When faced with foreigners, many people felt inferior to them. After all, they were not as wealthy or as arrogant as them, so it was normal for them to be lacking in confidence.
But now, the Chinese had reached the summit of the world’s Billionaire List!
This time, many people who were once on their knees were now standing up with their heads held up high!
Compared to the sense of national pride that ordinary people paid attention to, many rich and powerful people and capitalists paid attention to it. National power represented influence over the world.
The tycoon was a business card of national influence.
Previously, there were many companies and enterprises in the country that were rejected when they wanted to do business overseas. So, now that Su Yang was the richest man in the world, wouldn’t it be easier for them?
Of course, Su Yang’s status as the richest man in the world was just speculation. No one knew the truth before the official announcement was made.
However, the rumors of this list seemed to be meant for the citizens to celebrate.
The next day, they announced the World’s Billionaire List in advance.
Su Yang, with his total assets of 275.3 billion USD, had surpassed the previous top winner, Bill Gates, who had been first for three consecutive years and for 17 times over the past 22 years with his net worth was 75 billion dollars. Thus, Su Yang successfully earned himself the title of the world’s richest man.
