Chapter 811 - Acquiring Zhongan Automobile at a Low Price
As Su Yang prayed to Wang Jiang over and over again, Su Yang suddenly felt his body lighten as if all the luck on his body had disappeared.
At that moment, Su Yang knew that his “prayers” must have taken effect, all his luck had been used to fulfill his wish. However, he did not know if it could achieve the effect he wanted. Hence, he could only pray silently in his heart, hoping that his luck would be enough.
On August 12th, Wednesday. This day has a profound meaning for the entire country, especially Zhejiang Province.
At noon, the investigation team from Zhongdu officially arrested Wang Jiang. Old Master Yang’s confinement was immediately lifted and he returned to his original position.
No one knew why the Wangs, who were one of the most powerful families in the country, had failed to protect their current leader, Wang Jiang. No one knew why, but as the king of the entire Zhejiang Province, Wang Jiang had fallen from the sky at that moment.
Only those who were able to obtain information directly from God, or even from a very well-informed person, at the meeting of the top forces that morning, had decided to deal with Wang Jiang quickly and severely with no extra leniency.
However, no matter what, everyone who had been paying attention to this matter now knew about Wang Jiang’s loss of power and Old Master Yang’s rise.
In an instant, there was an endless stream of people from Old Master Yang’s home, all of whom had come to pay their respects. Apart from that, Old Master Yang’s haggard appearance from the past half a month had also changed, and he was now full of energy. In fact, he even made people feel that he had lesser white hair
Listening to his subordinates’ reports and the flattery from Wang Jiang’s subordinates, Old Master Yang felt a little pleased.
He knew that this was the reward for the victor, but he also knew that he was not the one who had contributed to this.
This was especially so in the afternoon. After he was released from his confinement, he received a call from his superior, but the message conveyed from that phone call shocked him.
Now that he thought about what he had said earlier, Old Master Yang was overwhelmed with emotions. He had guessed that Su Yang would have a strong background and might even be one of the top seven people in the country. However, he really did not expect it to be that person...
Therefore, after sending off everyone who came to visit, Old Master Yang gave Su Yang a call.
When Su Yang received Old Master Yang’s call, he was lying on the deck chair outside the castle, basking in the sun.
That afternoon, after Su Yang used his [Lucky Disfiguring Brick], his nose and cheeks were bleeding profusely. In fact, the injuries he suffered were not light, even his bones seemed to have been broken.
However, he already had a companion plant. After being injured, he only needed photosynthesis to heal his injuries, which was why he was at places with soil and sunlight.
In order to experience this ability, Su Yang did not drink the ginseng water but went to the castle courtyard to bask in the sun.
San Que’s new ability, [Photosynthistic Treant], was indeed very effective. While he was basking in the sun, Su Yang felt that the pain on his face had disappeared. In its place, was a numb, itchy, and strange feeling.
Through the mirror, Su Yang realized that his face was slowly recovering.
On top of that, Su Yang realized that when he was recovering, countless plant roots had grown out from under his skin. The roots were like intertwined vines that crawled on his face and secreted some strange liquid.
In fact, the liquid soaked his face and healed his bones at a visible rate. His flesh and blood reformed at a visible rate, and his skin was reborn at a visible rate.
Furthermore, that itchy feeling was exactly because of the roots of the plants as they crawled and healed his wounds.
As for Old Master Yang’s phone call... Su Yang was not surprised by it at all.
Before Old Master Yang made that call, Su Yang had already learned the results of the meeting from Jiang Yan. Hence, he knew what happened to Wang Jiang, and he knew that he had fulfilled his promise to Old Master Yang.
Therefore, he picked up the phone calmly and said to Old Master Yang, “Old Master Yang, are you alright now?”
On the other end of the phone, Old Master Yang replied with a smile, “Yes, I’ve already been released from confinement and returned to my original position.”
Then, he deliberated for a moment before saying, “Mr. Su, it’s all thanks to you this time. If it wasn’t for the person behind you, things might really have been difficult to resolve.
“However, I really didn’t expect the person behind you to be them...”
‘The person behind me?
‘Who?’
Su Yang found Old Master Yang’s words strange.
‘Did something happen at the meeting today? Did a very powerful big shot say something?’
Su Yang thought about it and felt that it was probably the case.
However, his ability only allowed him to become lucky during that period of time, but did not allow him to know the specifics of what had happened.
Furthermore, he had not asked Jiang Yan about the results of the meeting as well.
However, Jiang Yan said that it was impossible to find out the details of a meeting of this level. Instead, she could only make some speculations through the final decision.
Hence, if Su Yang really wanted to know what was going on at the conference, he would have to wait for many years before the details of the conference were unraveled. Or, he could learn about the details from the conference from the twenty big shots present.
Unfortunately, Su Yang did not have any connections with these big shots, so he did not know who had spoken up for him during the meeting.
Hence, now that there was already a misunderstanding, Su Yang could not possibly explain that he had superpowers to Old Master Yang, who was just a partner. Instead, he could only follow the flow and said, “After all, we all have our own trump cards. So, there’s nothing to be surprised about.”
Old Master Yang smiled and nodded. “Yes, Mr. Su. You’re quite right.”
After he finished speaking, he did not continue to talk about this topic. Instead, he said, “No matter what, let’s have a good partnership with regards to Wang Jiang. If you have time, dp come to Hangzhou and Zhejiang Province to play and invest. If you do, I will do my best as a host.”
“Sure, sure,” Su Yang agreed.
Then, he remembered that Juduoduo and Findme app were still under Old Master Yang’s jurisdiction, so he added, “Oh right, Old Master Yang. Please take care of those companies in Zhejiang Province as well.”
Right at that moment, Su Yang was highly sought after in Old Master Yang’s heart. Old Master Yang agreed readily.
Su Yang hung up the phone and looked at the sun. He touched the wound on his face that was almost healed and stretched. He felt that... ‘It feels nice to have no enemies!’.
At the same time, in Hangzhou, Juduoduo’s general manager’s office.
Huang Zheng was chatting with a middle-aged man as well.
In front of Su Yang, he was obsequious, but in front of others, he was confident and flamboyant.
He stood before the middle-aged man and waved his hands as he said, “Mr. Wei, you already know the current situation, Wang Jiang has fallen. In fact, even if he doesn’t get sentenced in the end, his career as a big shot is over.
“Judging from the position of the head of Zhejiang Province, he will not be able to give you any protection. Therefore, you really need to find a way out.
“Especially when I heard that Gold Bull Group has truly been reported to have had close ties with him.
“So, what are you hesitating for at a time like this?
“I’m sure that even your family will support your decision!”
When the person called Mr. Wei heard Huang Zheng’s words, he looked conflicted. After a while, he asked, “Can Mr. Su really protect me?”
Huang Zheng smiled confidently. “Don’t worry, he definitely will. As long as you follow my plans, I’ll persuade Mr. Su.”
When he heard Huang Zheng mention the “plans”, Mr. Wei’s expression changed a few times. He said hesitantly, “If we follow your plans, we will split up Zhongan Automobile and Gold Bull Group and become a completely independent company. By that time, we might not be able to pass the review, right?
“Furthermore, even if we do pass the trial... Zhongan Automobile is currently worth about 12 billion yuan. Not only do we have a small town that occupies 5,000 acres of land in Jiaxing City, but we also have our own automobile factories in more than provinces. So, just the land prices alone are worth more than 2 billion yuan.
“So, you want to buy Zhongan Automobile with 2 billion yuan, that’s...”
When Huang Zheng heard these words, he stared at Mr. Wei like an eagle before him. Then, he said bluntly, “Mr. Wei, allow me to be direct... These factories and lands were all obtained by the Wangs through your connections. So, even if you don’t sell them now, when the investigation team comes over, you’re going to have to spit them all out anyway.
“Now, you’re being offered the opportunity to receive two billion yuan in cash, which will allow you to live comfortably for the rest of your life. What are you still hesitating for?
“You shouldn’t be looking at how much money you have right now because they’re all just an illusion. Instead, only the money you receive after our transaction are cold-hard cash which you can keep.”
Mr. Wei’s face darkened as he became hesitant.
He was not someone who would listen to orders after being threatened. However, all the news that he had received recently were exactly as what Huang Zheng had said... Wang Jiang has been arrested, Gold Bull Group was being investigated, and Mr. Wei had found out that it was because the Wangs had offended Mr. Su Yang of the Jiadian Group.
In fact, in front of Mr. Su, even Old Master Yang, who had the most authority in Zhejiang Province, was just a tool.
At that moment, Mr. Wei felt that even though he was not at that level and had no way of knowing the details of the confrontation between the big shot, he knew that with the Wangs’s downfall, his own family, which had a lot of affiliations with the Wangs, would definitely be punished.
Hence, once it was all investigated, everything that he had would disappear.
Actually, Huang Zheng had actually contacted him last week. He said that he planned to buy Zhongan Automobile at a very low price. At the time, he thought that Huang Zheng was crazy.
Then, the other party said that Wang Jiang was going to fall, and this was the Weis’ last chance. However, Mr. Wei did not believe it then.
But now... He believed it, which was why he was there to meet Huang Zheng that day. He wanted to see if there was any way to salvage the situation.
However, Huang Zheng insisted that the only way out for Mr. Wei was to sell Zhongan Automobile at a low price.
So, when faced with this final choice, Mr. Wei hesitated...
When he thought about how he was going to give away an asset worth tens of billions of yuan to someone else, Mr. Wei felt an indescribable sense of grievance. He felt that he had been coerced and that Su Yang’s current actions were no different from Wang Jiang’s.
‘If Wang Jiang has broken the law, wouldn’t Su Yang be breaking the law as well?’
However, these thoughts were destined to remain in his heart. After all, he was unable to resist Wang Jiang back then. Now, he was also unable to resist Su Yang. Therefore, after hesitating for more than 10 seconds, Mr. Wei finally nodded solemnly and said to Huang Zheng, “Alright then, I agree to your terms.”
Huang Zheng was not surprised by Mr. Wei’s decision. This was because he had once stood in the other party’s shoes and considered this problem. In the end, he realized that when he was faced with the same situation, he did not have a second choice.
Therefore, he returned to his table, opened the drawer, and took out an agreement that he had prepared earlier. Then, he handed it to Mr. Wei, who took it and read through the entire agreement, and signed his name on it.
Putting the agreement on the table, Mr. Wei said, “I need to go back and inform my family, and I also need to transfer all the shares. After all, most of the shares of Zhongan Automobile are still in the hands of my family. So, even if I sign the agreement, it’s useless.”
Actually, Huang Zheng had already expected this. He raised his hand slightly and said, “Sure. Take the agreement back and stamp it as well. You can let me know if you have any questions.”
Mr. Wei nodded and did not say anything else.
As the one on the losing end, he had no right to bargain. Hence, he picked up the agreement and left Huang Zheng’s office...
Over the next few days, the shares of Zhongan Automobile underwent a huge change.
Zhongan Automobile used all the cash that it had left to buy back the shares of a few major shareholders. It also registered for a share transfer at the relevant departments.
Because of the relationship between Zhongan Automobile and Gold Bull Group, the relevant departments did not want to approve this stock change in the first place.
However, Huang Zheng had already anticipated this. Hence, in the name of Jiadian Group, he submitted a written application to the relevant departments. The application stated that the change in shares was mainly to prepare for Jiadian Group’s acquisition of the company. Hence, he hoped that the relevant departments would approve it.
After Wang Jiang’s defeat, Su Yang and Jiadian Group had become the new dignitaries of Zhejiang Province. Thus, the relevant departments did not dare to deal with them easily. Therefore, they reported the matter to Old Master Yang.
Old Master Yang recalled that before he made the call, Su Yang asked him to take care of his company and agreed to the equity agreement.
With Old Master Yang’s approval, the stock transfer was approved very quickly. In less than three days, all the procedures were completed.
After everything was settled, Mr. Wei brought the few signed agreements back to Juduoduo. According to the agreement, as long as Su Yang transferred 2 billion yuan to Mr. Wei’s account, Su Yang would definitely hold a stake in this automobile company that was worth 12 billion yuan.
After leaving the agreement and sending Mr. Wei away, Huang Zheng picked up his glass phone on his table and confidently called Su Yang...
