Upon hearing Su Yang’s instructions, Little Deeny was silent for a moment before she whispered into Su Yang’s ear shyly, “Master, they’re all here.”
Su Yang, who had a serious expression, was stunned for a moment before he asked, “Why are they all there?”
Little Deeny coughed to hide her embarrassment. “Because... Everyone’s here to munch on some melon seeds.”
‘Munch on some melon seeds?’
Puzzled, Su Yang opened the virtual space app and looked at the situation inside.
In the end, he realized that not a single one of his monsters was missing. Instead, they were all in the courtyard.
Moreover, in the middle of the courtyard was a large virtual interface. which was still showing the scene of his date with Chu Xia.
Su Yang became speechless for a while when he saw this.
Then, he became furious. “You guys have gone way overboard! You’re actually doing a live broadcast?!”
‘I feel like I’ve got a bunch of busybodies behind me as I go on my dates.’
Little Deeny chuckled awkwardly and said, “Master, don’t be angry. We’re just bored. I’ll stop them from watching during crucial moments.”
At the mention of this, Su Yang became even more irascible. “How could there be crucial moments?! Sh*t! Chu Xia didn’t even give me a chance!”
Little Deeny coughed and then said, “Master, I have a copy of “100 ways To Successfully Hit Base”. Do you need it?”
Su Yang was speechless.
‘Such a decent thing exists?
‘Why do I get the feeling that I’m about to agree to it uncontrollably?’
However, when he thought about his feelings for Chu Xia and the fact that he still needed to build up his prestige in the family, Su Yang dismissed the idea. Instead, he coughed and said, “I’m not that kind of person. I want to develop my relationship with Chu Xia naturally.”
Little Deeny then said in disappointment, “Alright, Master...”
Su Yang became speechless at her reply.
‘Huh?
‘Why does it feel like they want me to quickly improve my relationship with Chu Xia so that they could live-stream and learn from it...
‘No!.
‘This is too embarrassing! Plus, it’s too private for that matter!
‘We’re free to fall in love! So, it’s unreasonable to watch!
‘I’ve got to protect my privacy.’
With that thought in mind, Su Yang searched the virtual space app to see if there were any options to switch off from being watched.
In fact, his hard work paid off. After Su Yang went through the options menu, he finally found this function.
Then, he secretly set a timer so that Little Deeny and the rest would not be able to see him the next time he went on a date with Chu Xia.
After settling everything, Su Yang finally entered the virtual space in a good mood.
Because of Su Yang and Chu Xia’s date, this bunch of gossipy little monsters had arrived in the virtual world early. Thus, this saved Su Yang time to look for them.
Therefore, with a wave of his hand, he canceled the virtual interface that was still standing in the courtyard. Then, he said, “Little monsters with intermediate intelligence and above, follow me.”
With that, he turned around and went to the study on the third floor of the castle.
After taking a seat in the study, the monsters started to arrive.
There were Little Deeny, Janet, Sanque, the Clown Sea Serpent, Zhao Licheng, Old Pei, Little Hus, Spirit Building, Pool, and... Old Tungsten.
Su Yang looked at Little Deeny. “Has Old Tungsten reached intermediate intelligence?”
Little Deeny blinked. “I don’t know, Master.”
Su Yang picked up the long-legged light bulb and threw it out. ‘This thing is the most gossipy one in the house.’
Closing the door, Su Yang looked at the little monster in the room and greeted Janet. “Janet, you’re back.”
Janet nodded, a rare look of embarrassment appearing on his cold face. “Yes, Sister Little Deeny said that you have some gossip.”
Su Yang was speechless when he heard this.
Then, he looked at Little Deeny, who was looking up at the sky, feigning ignorance.
Because of this, Su Yang found out how Little Deeny managed to maintain her position as the Big Sister at home... ‘She’s selling off my gossip!’
Su Yang glared at Little Deeny before turning back to Janet. “How’s your search for your clansmen going?”
At this point, a trace of excitement appeared on Janet’s face again. He pulled Little Hus, who was crawling into his arms, to the ground and said, “Master, I’ve already found a few tribes and selected a few Imperial Guards.
“Which is part of the reason why I’m back this time. I would like to bring you my Imperial Guard.”
Su Yang’s eyes lit up when he heard this.
Su Yang was well aware of Janet’s strength, who was a shark to begin with. Coupled with the abilities he gained from adding points several times, Janet had always been the strongest among all the little monsters.
Thus, with his Imperial Guards being of the same race as him, coupled with the physique and strength of the sharks, Su Yang believed that the strength of these Imperial Guards was guaranteed.
At that thought, Su Yang said to Janet, “Sure, no problem. Let’s go and meet them after the meeting.”
Janet bowed his head. “Understood!”
After asking about Janet’s situation, Su Yang glanced at the few little monsters and briefly explained what Jiang Yan told him.
Actually, he was just going through the motions. He was mainly conveying the message to Zhao Licheng, who had just rushed over from home. After all, the other little monsters had been live streaming his date, so they had probably seen what happened already.
As expected, when they heard Su Yang’s words, the little monsters did not even have to think before they expressed their opinions.
Little Hus was the first to say, “Su Yang! What are you afraid of? We can just kill them and run!”
Su Yang realized that Little Hus’s intermediate intelligence was all used to pursue Janet. Thus, it was completely useless at other times.
Pool, on the other hand, had a different opinion. He waved the sleeves of his Han attire and said in a clear voice, “I feel that since we live in this country, we still have to abide by the rules of this country.
“When we don’t have the ability to fight against the country, we should be more cautious.”
Sanque opened his eyes slightly and said, “Agreed.”
Little Deeny said, “But, we can’t just watch as Master suffers. They actually dared to threaten him.”
Janet said, “My Master’s matters are my matters. I will eliminate all existences that stand in his way.”
Qing Zhu said, “Sir, I don’t understand fighting and killing, so you should decide.”
Su Yang was speechless.
As he looked at the little monsters, he suddenly felt that something was wrong.
However, he suppressed the doubts in his heart and looked at the Clown Sea Serpent and Zhao Licheng, asking, “What do you think?”
the Clown Sea Serpent chuckled and said, “Master, I don’t think there’s a need to be so ruthless. Since the country wants us to not cross the line, let’s not cross the line then.
“There’s no need to give up your country just for one person.”
Zhao Licheng furrowed his brows and pondered for a while. Then, he took a few glances at the other little monsters before turning to Su Yang. “Mr. Su, I have the same thoughts as the Clown Sea Serpent. The country has treated us well and we were born and raised in this land. So, there’s no need for us to fall out with the country over a single matter.
“If you trust me, you can leave this to me and I will definitely help you deal with it.”
Looking at the Clown Sea Serpent and Zhao Licheng, Su Yang finally understood what he had sensed earlier.
The little monsters such as Little Deeny, Pool, and Little Hus, whom he had added points onto were completely different from the little monsters such as Zhao Licheng and the Clown Sea Serpent, who were born through some other means.
For the former, because Su Yang was the one who had added points for them, they only had Su Yang as their “Master” in their hearts. Thus, they had no motherland, ethnicity, or human concept.
To them, the country was just a place of no importance at all.
Even the docile little monsters like Pool who raised objections were only following the rules, rather than respecting the country.
On the other hand, although the Clown Sea Serpent and Zhao Licheng acknowledged him as their leader, they were still influenced by their past lives. Hence, they acknowledged their country, their people, and subconsciously felt that they were human.
Little Deeny had actually mentioned this before. The little monsters that were born through Su Yang adding points onto were absolutely loyal to Su Yang. However, the little monsters that were born from an item were not absolutely loyal.
Initially, Su Yang was wary of the Clown Sea Serpent and Zhao Licheng.
But now, Su Yang realized that things were different from what he had imagined.
The little monsters that he had directly enlightened and the little monsters who were born through other means were both beneficial and detrimental.
Zhao Licheng, the Clown Sea Serpent, and the others might not be absolutely loyal, but their thinking was conventional and rational, which would be more useful.
On the other hand, even though Little Deeny and the rest were absolutely loyal, they lacked empathy, and their ideas and action plans were more on the extreme end.
Then, Su Yang thought about Pool and Sanque. The reason why they were more rational than Little Deeny and Little Hus was probably because they had been living in human society and had started to develop empathy.
Thus, Su Yang pondered for a while and felt that it might not be a good thing for him to let the little monsters live in seclusion. ‘Perhaps I should let them interact more with human society.
‘After all, even though I trust these little monsters, it wouldn’t be a good thing for them to continue to treat humans as anomalies. If this continues, there might be huge problems in the future...’
In fact, Su Yang did not expect that he would discover such a huge problem just by talking about Wang Jiang. Hence, he could not help but feel his heart becoming heavy.
However, he soon dispelled the haze in his heart and temporarily stopped thinking about this matter. Instead, he looked at Zhao Licheng. “You said that you have a solution. What is it?”
Zhao Licheng said, “Mr. Su, do you still remember Cao Qiguang?”
Su Yang pondered for a while before he remembered that Zhao Licheng was Zhao Licheng’s business partner. After Zhao Licheng passed away, he seized Zhao Licheng’s company and wanted to take Zhao Licheng’s wife. In the end, he was sent to prison by Su Yang.
He nodded. “Yes.”
Zhao Licheng said, “Do you remember when I said that Cao Qiguang had a big shot behind him?”
Su Yang thought about it again and seemed to have a vague impression of it.
He nodded again.
Zhao Licheng said, “Ever since Cao Qiguang’s accident, that big shot has been investigating us. Later, when the country expressed their support for Jiadian Group, he officially sent me an invitation and hoped to have a good chat with us.”
Su Yang asked, “What does this have to do with Wang Jiang?”
Zhao Licheng said, “After that big shot found me, I found out that he’s also from Zhejiang Province. After I interacted with him, I checked his identity as well and found that his position in Zhejiang Province is only second to Wang Jiang.”
At this point, Su Yang suddenly understood Zhao Licheng’s intentions. “You want to drive the wolf to devour the tiger?
“Since the country does not allow us to use special methods, we should use normal methods instead.
“Furthermore, if it’s the country’s own people who carry out the deed, they won’t be able to link it to us no matter what.”
Zhao Licheng nodded. “Yes.
“Not only that,” Zhao Licheng added, “Mr. Su, I heard about your conversation earlier, and I have an idea.
“Actually, this time, the Jiangs are not threatening you. Instead, they are... Testing you.”
Su Yang was puzzled. “Testing me?”
Zhao Licheng nodded. “Yes, that’s right.”
He explained, “Every circle has its own rules. The method you used before actually broke the rules. This made the people in that circle to have a bad impression of you. Moreover, they’re worried and afraid.
“But, because your power has reached a level that cannot be ignored, they have to evaluate whether they can accept you into their circle.
“It’s the same for this case. Actually, Jiang Yan’s message was very clear. You can fight with Wang Jiang if you want to, but you have to play by the rules. In other words, it has to be legal and reasonable.”
Su Yang listened quietly and felt that Zhao Licheng’s words made sense.
When Zhao Licheng saw that Su Yang had listened to him, he continued, “Furthermore, we don’t have to force the wolf to swallow the tiger. We can cooperate with that big shot to topple Wang Jiang and reap huge benefits from the matter.”
When Zhao Licheng saw Su Yang’s confused expression again, he smiled and said, “Mr. Su, you might not know much about the struggles in that circle. For people like the Wangs, they would not be completely destroyed if the Old Master is still alive. Likewise, Wang Jiang’s life would not be in danger either.
“This is just like Old Master Jiang’s role in the Jiangs. He is the family’s stabilizing force and everyone has to respect him.
“As for why these old people still receive so much respect even though they have already retired, it’s not hard to understand. Because everyone will grow old, and there will come the time when they are no longer in power. Therefore, protecting this tradition is also the equivalent of them protecting their family.
“Therefore, the only thing we can do is to reduce the influence the Wangs have as much as possible so that they won’t be able to cause any more trouble. At the same time, we can squeeze every bit of profit out of them.
“I think the big shot from Zhejiang Province knows more than we do, so I believe we can talk to him openly and understand the situation before making a decision.”
Zhao Licheng smiled and said, “As for whether or not the Wangs will disclose our relationship with the Wangs, or whether we will attack Wang Jue, I feel that with the current situation, the people in that circle have already guessed what you’ve done.”
Su Yang could not help but think, ‘I suppose we have a “tacit understanding” right now. After all, they know what we’ve done, and we know that they know what we’ve done...’
At the thought of this, Su Yang did not hesitate anymore. He handed the entire matter to Zhao Licheng, the five-star genius, and gave him the authority to mobilize the family and company’s resources at any time.
Of course, Su Yang also got Little Deeny and the Clown Sea Serpent to supervise him and give him suggestions. If there was anything important, the three of them would discuss it with each other.
After settling everything, the pressure on Su Yang lessened.
Hence, he clapped his hands and said, “Alright, that’s all for today’s meeting. Janet, I’ll go with you to meet your Imperial Guards!”
