Chapter 719 - Capital Transfer
This was because from his point of view, the most terrifying thing about this kind of thing was that it had nothing to do with him, or that they couldn’t be connected to the matter at all. On top of that, it wasn’t that there was a conflict between the two parties.
Sometimes, after the negative impression has been resolved, it could overturn and become a positive matter instead.
This was also the reason why Cao Qiguang sent his confidant to look for Su Yang.
As for why he did not go himself...
Of course, it was because he could not put down his ego.
In terms of status, Cao Qiguang was the boss of a listed company worth tens of billions of yuan, while Su Yang was just the boss of a company that had yet to be publicly listed.
In terms of seniority, Cao Qiguang was one of the earliest entrepreneurs in the country during the ’90s, while Su Yang was just a fledgling entrepreneur.
In terms of age, Cao Qiguang was almost 20 years older than Su Yang, even his own child was almost the same age as Su Yang.
On top of that, from a practical point of view, Cao Qiguang was beaten up badly, while Su Yang and his subordinate were both “unharmed”.
‘I’m higher in status, seniority and even age compared to Su Yang, plus I even suffered a loss myself and got beaten up. How could I possibly take the initiative and submit to Su Yang of my own accord?!
‘What about my reputation?!’
In Cao Qiguang’s opinion, even though Su Yang’s glass phone had a high chance of success, it was not guaranteed. After all, when something new gets marketed, there will always be various problems to be resolved.
‘There have been many outdated products that will get phased out, such as the TV box that Shanda wanted to market back then...
‘Then, as time passed and everything was chucked into history, people would realize when they look back that the reason why it failed was because it was too ahead of its time...
‘Hence, the same could be said for Su Yang’s glass phone, which is way too advanced. No one knows if the consumers will be able to accept it, or whether even their wallets would be able to withstand its price.
‘After all, this type of phone, whether it’s the materials that I’ve never seen before or the various advanced technologies in it, it’s proof enough that its cost is definitely not cheap.
‘Moreover, within the cellphone market, low-priced phones have the highest ratio amongst consumers.
‘Other than its advanceness and its costs, the reactions of the other large phone brands have to be taken into account.
‘Forget Apple and Samsung, even Huawei, our domestic manufacturer will not sit aside and watch as a new cellphone giant rises.
‘So, Su Yang’s company is in grave danger.
‘The only reason I’m willing to invest in him even in this situation is because of my love for talent.
‘Unexpectedly, Su Yang refuses to accept my investment. Not only that, he even chased my confidant away. He’s literally insulting me!
‘I should teach him a lesson!
‘How do I do it though...’
At that thought, Cao Qiguang went into deep thought.
After he became enemies with Su Yang, he had also investigated Su Yang’s background and his current situation in Shanghai.
Therefore, he managed to find out a lot of things. For example, Su Yang came from a village in Jiujiang, attended Shanghai University, praised by the country at one time and even had the support of the Jiangs behind him.
After hearing the news, Cao Qiguang did not feel nervous. On the contrary, he felt even more at ease. ‘Su Yang is, at most, a young man with potential who has gained the favour of the Jiangs, that’s why they’ve ended up supporting him.
‘However, with a company developed to this level, how could he possibly not have someone backing him up? How could he possibly not know some big shots?
‘The Old Master of the Jiangs is indeed one of the top figures in the country, but he has retired after all. On top of that, the second generation of the Jiangs have not risen yet. Therefore, their family’s overall influence in the country is gradually decreasing.
‘Meanwhile, the person backing me up is in the prime of his life.
‘Furthermore, the people who are supporting these kinds of businesses wouldn’t usually interfere . So, under such circumstances, it’s still going to be a competition of strength.
‘Between Su Yang and myself, I can’t possibly lose to him.
‘Furthermore, I’m not fighting alone. Through my understanding of Su Yang, I don’t think Su Yang’s someone who likes to share his benefits. So, a person like him will easily make many enemies.
‘Furthermore, the benefits of the technology in his hands right now are just too huge. So, I’m definitely not the only one who has my eyes on him.
‘In fact, I can almost imagine him being torn apart by those packs of wolves.
‘Even though the technology that Su Yang possesses is very important and the country might even step in to protect him, However... They would be protecting his technology, not himself.
‘It won’t be impossible to replace Su Yang and take over his company.
‘Aren’t many leaders of domestic companies replaced using this method?
‘Capital is always bloody, politics even more so. Hence, it’s always best to overthrow the ruler and replace him.’
At that thought, Cao Qiguang smiled as he picked up his phone and called someone...
After reading through the plan, Su Yang told Zhao Licheng to proceed according to the plan. On the other hand, he was preparing to transfer the billions of yuan that Zhao Licheng had into the Hong Kong Stock Exchange to prepare to empty out Xinli Education.
Hence, this would require the Silver Ability that Su Yang had previously obtained, [Kindness Must Be Repaid].
Previously, Su Yang had made three Soul Confining Rings, which could prevent his, Dagger Girl and Gru’s talents from taking effect. Later on, he gave two of the rings to Gru and Dagger Girl. However, he did not wear his own ring because he thought his talent was still useful.
Su Yang’s [Kindness Must Be Repaid] could allow him to make a request to someone who was “sincerely grateful” to him. As long as it did not go against the other party’s wishes, the other party would definitely “repay” his kindness.
At that moment, Su Yang just so happened to have three people who were thankful to him. The most important one out of all three was Young Master Ying’s..
Young Master Ying’s father was the second most powerful man in Shanghai. The resources in his hands could probably cause everyone to be envious of. Ever since Su Yang received this Young Master Ying’s “gratitude”, he had been reluctant to use it because of this very moment.
Hence, after Zhao Licheng carried out his plan, Su Yang gave Young Master Ying a call.
“Du... Du... Du...”
A few seconds later, the call was picked up and Su Yang heard Young Master Ying’s voice. “Young Master Su, is something the matter?”
Su Yang said, “Young Master Ying, I have a favor to ask of you.”
Young Master Ying said generously, “Go ahead and say it. If I can get it done, it’s my loss!”
Su Yang was speechless.
Immediately, Young Master Ying coughed and said, “Pardon me, I misspoke. I’ve been bantering too much to my teammates in the game recently, so I couldn’t help myself.
“Now then, go ahead and tell me what it is. I’ll definitely get it done if I can.”
Su Yang said, “You see, I have a sum of money and I want to... Transfer it to Hong Kong.”
When Young Master Ying heard this, he hesitated for a moment before asking, “Young Master Su, are you... Thinking of escaping?”
Young Master Ying’s suspicion was not without reason.
Hong Kong was the only place in the country that implemented the capitalist rules. Because it was a free capital city, people who wanted to escape would transfer their money to Hong Kong to ease their escape.
Hence, when he heard Su Yang’s request, Young Master Ying immediately suspected that Su Yang was trying to escape.
Su Yang replied, “Of course not. I feel that the local market isn’t very mature at the moment, so I want to invest in Hong Kong stocks. However... I can’t even transfer the money out.”
“Hmm...” Young Master Ying was still a little hesitant. After a while, the good impression Young Master Ying had towards Su Yang gave him a good impression as he asked,” How much are we talking about? ”
Su Yang replied, “16 billion yuan.”
“That much?!” Young Master Ying was shocked.
Even though Young Master Ying was quite wealthy, that did not mean that he had cash in hand.
Particularly since Hong Kong Dollar (HKD) was linked to USD, thus exchanging for HKD was, in a sense, using the country’s foreign currency reserves. ‘A few billion yuan worth of foreign currency reserves is already quite a lot for an ordinary person, so it’s no wonder that Su Yang isn’t able to manage it.’
Young Master Ying said faintly, “Young Master Su, you still dare to say that you’re not trying to escape.”
Su Yang smiled and changed the topic. “Young Master Ying, Do you still remember that I went to meet you a few days ago?”
Young Master Ying nodded. “Yes, I do.”
Su Yang asked, “Is that glass phone useful?”
At the mention of the glass phone, Young Master Ying smiled. “it’s useful, it’s really useful! In fact, it’s better than all the cellphones on the market right now.
“Furthermore, I gave the phones that you gave me to my parents and they loved it very much. My father even gave a high evaluation of the glass phone, saying that it’s a domestically-produced phone that could truly lead the world’s cellphone industry.
Su Yang replied, “Exactly, so why would I run away now that I’ve gained such a huge momentum?
“With your father, the Jiangs and the support of the people behind me, why would I run away from a market that’s worth billions of people?”
Young Master Ying thought about it for a moment. ‘I guess that’s... Reasonable.’
Su Yang then said, “I’m sure you’re able to tell that my glass phone requires a lot of money to develop, produce and sell. So, I must think of ways to earn money. Don’t you agree?”
Young Master Ying: “Mmhmm...”
After explaining everything clearly, Su Yang could tell that Young Master Ying was still hesitant. Hence, he did not wait any longer and turned on the system to activate his talent.
[Young Master Ying’s Repayment Choice: Do Something Or Take Control]
[Do something.]
After Su Yang chose the [Do something] option, an input box popped up in front of him.
Su Yang then filled in his request on the input box. [Help Me Transfer 1.6 billion yuan to Hong Kong.]
With a glimmer, the choice disappeared, along with Young Master Ying’s choice of repayment.
The reason why Su Yang did not immediately fill out the conditions for Young Master Ying to repay his kindness was because he had studied this silver talent.
The effect of this silver talent was not strong and was not able to force someone to do certain things. Instead, it had to be something that they were willing to do.
For example, Su Yang’s request to transfer a few billion yuan was extremely important. As long as Young Master Ying was an ordinary person, he would not be willing to make such a large guarantee. Therefore, Su Yang had to first dispel some of Young Master Ying’s worries first and make him change from being “unwilling” to “hesitant” before using his talent.
As expected, with the use of his talent, Young Master Ying thought for a while and finally agreed. “Okay, Young Master Su, I’ll help you. I’ll call a few banks to see if they can handle this matter. It won’t be easy to get this done through one bank, but multiple banks should be doable.”
Even though he had used his talent to get Young Master Ying to agree, Su Yang was not an unreasonable person. Hence, he said to Young Master Ying, “I’ll remember this favor you’ve done for me.”
Young Master Ying smiled and said, “Why do I feel like you’ve owed me quite a few favors now?”
Su Yang recalled that it seemed to be true. ‘Previously, I’ve asked Young Master Ying to do me a huge favor and I ended up owing him one. Now, I’ve owed him another one.
‘Without knowing, I’ve ended up owing him two favors now...
‘Well, fine then, no harm in having more debts. Especially since Young Master Ying is a good person and never asks for anything in return for doing good deeds. I can just owe him more favours then...’
Just as Su Yang was thinking about this, Young Master Ying brought up his “repayment”. “Young Master Su, I won’t ask for anything else. I just want you to give me two more boxes of oral fluids.”
‘Hmm... I realize that he really likes to drink these oral fluids. He keeps asking for it as though he’s drinking it like water.’
At that thought, Su Yang asked, “Have you finished those two boxes already?”
Young Master Ying replied, “I’m not even the one who’s drinking it.”
Su Yang was confused.
Then, Young Master Ying replied, “My mother detained me when I carried it home. She even said that I’ve finally grown up and have become filial to my parents.
“Since she’s already said that, how could I reject her? So, I had no choice but to admit to it.
“At first, I thought my father would support me, but when he returned, he only patted my shoulder and said that I had grown up as well.
“That’s why not a single bottle of the oral fluid you gave me has ended up in my stomach.”
Su Yang asked, “Weren’t you originally going to give it to your parents though?”
Young Master Ying wanted to cry but no tears would fall out. “I only intended to give them a box. The other box was supposed to be for my future father-in-law.”
Su Yang was speechless.
‘You unfilial son.
‘In the past, people would always lament how their daughters would go along with their spouses after they got married. Yet, in this age, it’s slowly changing to sons...’
Even though Su Yang was complaining, since Young Master Ying had helped him so much, Su Yang would definitely fulfill his request. Hence, before hanging up the phone, Su Yang promised to give Young Master Ying six boxes of oral fluids.
After hanging up the phone, Su Yang rubbed his face. ‘I’m actually a little surprised at how popular Jiadian’s oral fluids are.’
As he sighed, he called Sanque.
In the end, he found out that the oral fluid was becoming more and more popular in Shanghai.
Especially with the Old Master of the Jiangs supporting him, all the big shots in Shanghai were drinking this oral solution. Even some big shots from the Imperial Capital especially called to order it after hearing about it.
Gradually, Sanque’s production could not keep up with the demand.
Initially, the health supplements company had to rely on various distributors to sell the products. After seeing this situation, Zhao Licheng changed his method of selling the products directly from the factory.
Without a middleman to mark up in between, not only would their profits increase, Jiadian Group would also receive many favors in between.
After all, it was a little difficult to buy some oral liquids at the time. Hence, anyone who was able to purchase the oral fluids would naturally owe Jiadian Group a favor.
After the health supplements company made some adjustments, the pressure on Sanque decreased and the output was almost consistently stabilized.
After Su Yang finished talking about the oral fluids, he asked Sanque to set aside eight boxes of oral solution for him and hung up.
That night, Su Yang and Chu Xia had dinner together. They chatted and consolidated their relationship. ‘If life is just a game, Chu Xia would definitely have an “Affinity UP” label on top of her head.’
After dinner, Su Yang sent Chu Xia home. Everything seemed to be progressing well.
What he did not know was that after his date, the little monsters had secretly formed a group while he was not paying attention...
