Sensing that Su Yang was scanning his surroundings, Lin Jiali looked at him curiously as she ate. “What are you looking at, hardcore fan?”
Su Yang did not retract his gaze and said casually, “Oh, I was wanting to ask if there’s a washroom in your house?”
Lin Jiali looked up from her bowl and pointed to the left. “Yes, over there.”
Su Yang followed her finger and looked at the dead end at the bottom of the stairs.
Su Yang’s eyes lit up and he nodded. “I’ll go to the washroom for a while.”
After saying that, Su Yang walked over.
Lin Jiali stared at his back with her bowl, her mouth never stopped eating.
As Su Yang pushed open the washroom door, he saw a bright and spacious washroom.
Of course, it was spacious because the washroom was about 10 square meters and it was almost as big as the bedrooms of many families. The washroom had a washing machine, a toilet bowl, a shower and a bathtub.
Even though there was a lot of stuff, it was clearly divided between the wet area and the dry area. The bathroom was inside while the toilet bowl and washing machine were outside with a sliding door in the middle as a partition.
As for the brightness, it was because... The washroom was actually a large floor-to-ceiling window. Even though it was not as big as the one outside, it was close to 3 meters. From the sides of the window, one could clearly see the road below.
However, this glass should be a special one-sided glass where anyone outside would not be able to see through inside.
Su Yang looked around the washroom. After some thought, he opened the door and entered the bathroom.
Su Yang was actually not trying to be a pervert by insisting on placing his eyeball there. However, the main problem was that... There was no other place!
There were no other rooms in Lin Jiali’s loft and there was nowhere suitable after Su Yang scanned the entire loft. No matter where he placed his eyeball, as long as Lin Jiali was at home, he would definitely be caught if he teleports there.
Therefore, it would be much safer for him to place it at the washroom. The frequency of the bathroom being used was lower than the washroom, so of course, it was safer. Furthermore, it was easy for the ladies’ washroom to have blood stains which might cause Su Yang’s eyeball to disappear, hence the bathroom was a much better choice.
Su Yang really intended to use his eyeball as a base without any other thoughts as he placed it there.
If he wanted to do anything malicious towards Lin Jiali, all he needed to use was [Hands Of Fate] and he could admire Lin Jiali’s body countless times over without Lin Jiali noticing.
Furthermore, with [Memory Master], there was no need for him to do it secretly if he really had any malicious intentions.
Therefore, he truly believed that the bathroom was a safer option.
Hmm... It doesn’t matter if you believe it or not, as long as he believed in it himself.
As he arrived at the bathroom, Su Yang used his upgraded A Rank Silver Ability, [Space Traversing Eyes] for the first time. Following the instructions, he extended his hand towards his eyes.
As his hand got closer, Su Yang became more and more nervous. Even though he knew that the system would not make any mistakes, he was still a little afraid when he was actually going to remove his eyeball. In fact, he was a little terrified of his physical wellbeing.
Finally, when Su Yang’s hand touched his eyeball, he felt his eyes burning with pain when a notification popped up before him. [Would you like to use the ability of Space Traversing Eyes?]
Su Yang chose [Yes] without hesitation.
‘What kind of nonsense is this! Why would I grab my own eyes if I didn’t intend to use my ability? Do I seem like the self torture type of person?!’
As Su Yang confirmed his choice, he felt his fingers stretch out involuntarily. Then, he grabbed his eyeball and pulled it out!
Blood splattered and his face was in pain. A moment later, a complete eye was taken out and Su Yang’s left eye socket turned into a bloody hole.
However, Su Yang did not feel any pain. He only felt that the complete picture before his eyes had split into two. One was his own perspective as he looked at his bloody eyeball.
The other was from the perspective that had just appeared. It was his upper body and his horrifying left side of his face, and the scariest part was the bloody hole where his left eyeball had been ripped out.
Su Yang followed the steps of using his ability according to his memory. He chose a space beside the bathtub and placed his eyeball in the middle.
As Su Yang lowered his eyeball, another notification popped up before him. [Are you sure you want to place a Sentry Ward here as a fixed warp point? (0 / 7)]
[Yes]
After confirming, Su Yang felt that the second view from before was slowly disappearing and his left eye felt a cooling sensation. After the cooling sensation passed, Su Yang felt an itch in his left eye. Within less than a second, his left eye returned to normal. Su Yang turned to the dressing mirror in the washroom to take a look and realized that his left eye had completely recovered.
‘That’s amazing...
‘What’s more amazing is that the blood that flowed out of my eye socket just now is slowly disappearing, along with the [Sentry Ward] that was placed on the ground.’
[The first ‘Sentry Ward’ has been successfully placed.]
At that point, Su Yang’s ability had been deployed. From now on, he could use Lin Jiali’s bathroom to travel to the Imperial Capital.
Su Yang felt that he was becoming more and more like an omnipotent God.
When Su Yang returned to the dining table, Lin Jiali had already finished her meal.
She collapsed on the sofa without a care for her image. She felt her slightly bulging stomach and said to Su Yang, “Your food tasted really good, hardcore fan.”
Su Yang nodded. “Of course. I made it myself.”
If it was Chu Xia, she might have scolded Su Yang for being shameless, but Lin Jiali wouldn’t. She gave him a thumbs up. “You’re awesome, my hardcore fan!”
Su Yang smiled. He liked Lin Jiali’s free nature.
Being with Lin Jiali made him feel especially relaxed without any restrictions.
After that, the two of them sat down and chatted for a while. They did not have any main topics to talk about. They talked about everything from Han Yi’s new drama to Lin Jiali’s new drama and Su Yang’s new movie.
When she heard that Su Yang had invested in a movie, Lin Jiali’s interest was piqued. She sat up and looked at Su Yang longingly. “Do you have any role for me?”
Su Yang shook his head. “I’ve tried helping you ask around, but this is a men’s movie. There’s only one female character which is the female lead, but it’s already been decided.”
Lin Jiali nodded without any disappointment. “Alright, remember to tell me when you have an opportunity for me next time.”
As she said that, she patted Su Yang’s shoulders. “My future of becoming famous depends on you, my hardcore fan.”
Su Yang smiled.
He did not expect that the lie that he casually came up with would become the bridge to close the gap between the two of them.
He nodded. “Don’t worry.”
After chatting for a while, Su Yang found an excuse to leave. ‘I came here to test my ability, not to chat with Lin Jiali.’
Lin Jiali did not insist and sent Su Yang out.
After closing the door, Lin Jiali was stunned. She scratched her head and said, “Huh? My hardcore fan came here just to deliver food to me.”
She suddenly remembered that Su Yang did not talk or do anything other than deliver food.
After leaving Lin Jiali’s house, Su Yang walked to the corner of the corridor. After confirming that there was no one around him, he took out his phone and called Sanque.
Sanque was still in the research and development room of the health supplements company. After confirming that there was no one around it, Su Yang asked Sanque to call out his name.
“Su Yang.”
As Sanque called out his name, the [Space Traversing Eyes] activated again.
Similar to [Heaven’s Eyes], a small window popped up in front of Su Yang. The window clearly showed where Sanque was, he was concocting a new medicine in a laboratory.
However, unlike [Heaven’s Eyes], the upgraded Silver Ability not only had a window popping out, there was also a golden button on the window. From the looks of it, this should be the [Descent] ability evolved from [Observation].
Su Yang clicked on the button and a notification popped up in front of him.
[Will you descend before the creature that called your real name?]
[Yes]
[Please select your method of descent: Projection or True Body]
[True Body]
After Su Yang made his choice, he felt his body tremble. Then, the window slowly expanded. At first, it was only the size of a window. In less than a second, it expanded to the size of a person. Then, it expanded to the size of an indomitable spirit.
The view turned from only being able to see Sanque’s laboratory into only having a transparent piece of glass standing in between Sanque and himself...
Su Yang walked in. He felt as if his body had passed through a thin membrane. A moment later, he arrived beside Sanque.
When Su Yang reached Sanque’s side, the window behind him shrunk rapidly and disappeared. At that moment, Sanque seemed to have noticed Su Yang’s presence. He turned his head and glanced at Su Yang before nodding and continuing to prepare the medicine.
Su Yang, who was used to being cold and indifferent, did not mind. Little monsters were all living creatures with different personalities. It was normal for them to meet someone who was cold to them.
On the other hand, after Su Yang tested his new ability, he felt that he had a rough idea of the characteristics of his A Rank Silver Ability.
Because he already had 2 A Rank Silver Abilities, especially 1 that was upgraded from B Rank to A Rank, Su Yang now had a clear reference group to compare.
‘After comparing, I realized that A Rank Silver Abilities are related to time and space. For example, [Heaven’s Eyes] and [Absolute Verbal Contract] don’t have any relationship with time and space.
‘Moreover, the comparison between the before and after evolution of [Heaven’s Eyes] proves my point. Before upgrading [Heaven’s Eyes], it was only meant to be used as an observer. After upgrading it, I can now travel through space.
‘Other than that, I also feel that both my A Rank abilities are no longer ordinary abilities. How should I put this... They seem to have a slight hint of divinity in them...
‘For example, [Descent] and [Stopping Time], both of these seem to be completely out of this world, slowly turning me from a man into a God.
‘Now that I think about it again, the system has been asking me to help others or to influence others positively. Could it be... Is the system trying to make me accumulate karma that only existed in myths?
‘Is it possible... Am I heading towards the road of divinity?
‘Will I really be able to become a God by the end of this journey?’
At the thought of that, Su Yang’s body trembled as if he had discovered a huge secret...
At that moment, Sanque turned around and looked at him for 2 seconds before opening his mouth slowly. “Are you standing there dreaming?”
Su Yang was speechless.
After being pulled back to reality, Su Yang felt that he shouldn’t think about things that were too far away for now. Instead, he should focus on the matters before him first. It was time to try out the other ability of [Space Traversing Eyes].
