With this thought in mind, the two chatted as they arrived at Mei Yue’s ward.
During the conversation, Su Yang found out that although Mei Yue had fainted the day before yesterday, she woke up very quickly after. Therefore, when she was being sent to the hospital, the doctor did not pay much attention to her. Initially, he did not even intend for Mei Yue to be hospitalized.
The doctor thought that Mei Yue only fainted because of her stomach ulcer and diet-induced hypoglycemia. So, the doctor’s advice to her was that she just needed some medicine to nourish her body.
In the end, Tan Mei finally managed to apply for a ward after much persuasion.
However, because Mei Yue’s illness was too light, according to the doctor’s advice, if there was nothing wrong with her on that day, Mei Yue would be discharged.
Other than meeting Su Yang on that day, Tan Mei had also gone to the hospital to settle the discharge procedures.
When they reached the fifth floor, Su Yang was led by Tan Mei to a ward after making a load of turns. Before they entered the ward, Su Yang’s [Danger Detecting Chopsticks], started to clink against each other as it made a “Cling” noise.
Su Yang’s heart sank. ‘I think my hunch might be correct.’
Su Yang and Tan Mei opened the door and walked in.
Yang Meiyue was staying in a double ward, but the other bed was empty. It seemed like the patient had not moved into the other bed yet, so Yang Meiyue could be considered to be staying in a single room.
When Mei Yue saw Tan Mei and Su Yang, she quickly stood up and greeted them. “Mr. Su, Sister Mei.”
Tan Mei gestured for her to sit down. “Don’t get up. We’re just here to visit you.”
Su Yang looked at Yang Meiyue and nodded.
He wanted to greet her, but he was not in the mood. The closer he got to Yang Mei, the more intense the “Cling” noises from his [Danger Detecting Chopsticks] became.
Also, it was because he heard a notification from the system...
[Ding! Bronze Mission triggered.]
‘A Bronze Mission?’
Su Yang clicked on the Bronze Mission.
[Bronze Mission: Save Yang Meiyue.]
Mission Introduction: You discovered a dangerous item on your employee, Yang Meiyue. This dangerous item has already affected Yang Meiyue’s health. As a good boss of the New Era, it is only natural that you should save your employee from danger! So, help her recover her health!
Su Yang was now 100% sure that his hunch was right when he saw the character issued by the system!
‘Looks like Yang Meiyue really has something dangerous on her! And this dangerous item is causing her to have gastric!
‘Then the question is, what is this dangerous item?
‘How is it causing her gastric problems?’
Su Yang scanned Mei Yue from head to toe, trying to guess where the dangerous item was.
‘First of all, her accessories can be ruled out. Even though Yang Meiyue wore some head accessories and jewelleries last time, she isn’t wearing any of them at this moment.
‘Secondly, by the same logic, I can also rule out the possibility that the dangerous item is in Yang Meiyue’s clothes. After all, she is currently wearing a patient’s gown that is different from what she’s wearing before.
‘So... Where is this dangerous item?’
Su Yang was confused.
As he walked closer to Yang Meiyue, the sound of chopsticks clinking against each other could be heard. It was almost like a piece of music. Su Yang was even more certain that the dangerous item itself was on Mei Yue.
Hence, Su Yang started to size Mei Yue up continuously.
Perhaps because Su Yang’s gaze was too direct, Yang Meiyue and Tan Mei felt that something was amiss. Tan Mei coughed and reminded him, “Mr. Su, you...”
“Oh, right.” Su Yang came back to her senses and pretended to be in a daze. “Was I lost in my thoughts?”
Yang Meiyue did not dare to speak and only had a weak expression on her face. Instead, it was Tan Mei who asked, “What were you thinking of?”
Su Yang replied, “I was just thinking about the future development for our Mei Yue.”
“Her singing is average, her dancing is bad, and her acting skills are...”
As Su Yang said that, Yang Meiyue lowered her head until her head was almost touching her chest. However, the problem was that she did not have breasts, so she had no choice but to lift her head slightly before things got even more awkward.
Tan Mei felt a little awkward as well. The trainees that she had chosen back then were all average in terms of talent. Among them, the prettier they were, the worse they were. Hence, she felt a little ashamed when Su Yang said that.
Just when the two of them thought that Su Yang was belittling them and even Yang Meiyue was wondering if Su Yang had travelled all the way just to fire her, Su Yang patted Mei Yue’s head and said, “However, I believe that our Mei Yue will definitely become a big star.”
After saying that, he looked at Tan Mei. “When we return to the company later, send me all the programs, television dramas, movies and other projects that you think we could recommend for Mei Yue to participate. I’ll have a look and personally choose one for Mei Yue.”
Tan Mei was stunned. She said, “That fast? Mei Yue’s ability isn’t good enough, so she can’t debut yet, can she?”
Su Yang shook his head. “I’ve been watching Mei Yue’s training videos for the past few days as well. There hasn’t been any improvement at all. So, I’ve thought about it carefully and have decided not to improve her capabilities. We’ll be abandoning the usual route where we trump through actual capabilities.”
Tan Mei said in surprise, “Then what route will we be using then? Turn her into a celebrity?”
Su Yang shook his head. “We’ll use the cultivation route.”
When he said that, he stopped talking. ‘This is just a thought that flashed through my mind. It’s an inspiration that he got from watching the Japanese variety shows on the plane.
‘In recent years, more and more of Japan’s celebrities are using the cultivation route. The celebrities themselves don’t need to have any capabilities. In fact, the more original they are, the better. As such, their fans will watch their celebrities cultivate themselves every step of the way, watching as they become more and more popular whilst enjoying the process of their cultivation.
‘It’s a little similar to how I’m treating Lin Jiali.
‘Currently, this trend is also happening in China as well. A good example would be TFBOYS who are becoming more and more famous recently.
‘In order to become an artist via cultivation route, other than being pretty or handsome, they will also need to be able to attract bystanders. As a matter of fact, this is exactly the unique strength that Mei Yue has.
‘Which is why I immediately thought of her when I saw the Japanese show.
‘Of course, that is just my idea. Little Hus is going to have to sniff to tell me whether it is actually going to succeed or not.’
Su Yang casually ended the conversation and sent Tan Mei away to settle the discharge procedures, leaving him and Mei Yue alone in the ward.
Seeing that no one else was around, Su Yang stood up and walked around Mei Yue.
In fact, he was not idling around there. Instead, he was using his [Danger Detecting Chopsticks] to determine where Yang Meiyue’s dangerous item was.
Even though the sound of the chopsticks would become very loud when he got close to Yang Meiyue, there would always be a slight difference.
Very soon, Su Yang confirmed that the dangerous object was between Yang Meiyue’s chest and her butt.
‘It’s in a more sensitive place...
‘It’s very likely that it’s her innerwear or jewellery.
‘This is annoying...
‘I can’t just come up with an excuse to want to check her body now, can I?
‘That would make me a pervert!
‘What am I supposed to do!?’
Just as Su Yang was panicking, Tan Mei returned with a pile of receipts.
After entering, she said to them, “Mr. Su, Mei Yue, I’ve completed the discharge procedures. We can leave now. Where are you two going next?”
After asking, she turned to Mei Yue. “Mei Yue, why don’t you go home and rest first? Why don’t you wait for two more days and come back to work when you’re feeling better then?”
Mei Yue had a gentle personality. When she heard Tan Mei’s words, she wanted to agree. However, at that moment, Su Yang spoke. “I came to the Imperial Capital to settle Mei Yue’s matter. Mei Yue, you’ll be following me back to the office first. Since the doctor said that there’s nothing wrong with you, it shouldn’t be anything too serious.”
“After I decide on Mei Yue’s plan and have a little chat with her, I’ll send her home.”
Su Yang’s suggestion stunned both of them for a moment. However, since Su Yang had already said so, they couldn’t refute him. They could only wonder why he was acting strangely that day. He wasn’t such a harsh person in the past...
After a while, the three of them packed up and went downstairs to drive to the office.
The traffic in the Imperial Capital had always been congested. Tan Mei drove for more than two hours before she arrived at the agency.
When they arrived at the office, Tan Mei went to work while Su Yang and Mei Yue found an empty office to have their chat while they waited for the information.
Su Yang asked, “Mei Yue, how long have you been in the agency?”
Mei Yue said, “Er, it’s been two years already.”
Su Yang nodded. “Oh... What’s the duration of the contract that you signed with us?”
Mei Yue lowered her head. “Ten years.”
‘Ten years... That’s alright.
Su Yang asked, “Do you want to be a celebrity?”
Mei Yue shook her head. “No.”
Su Yang was confused. “If you don’t want to be a celebrity, why are you a trainee?”
Mei Yue said, “Because the salary is higher than working in a normal job.”
Su Yang was speechless.
‘What a naive thought.
‘However, it’s precisely because of her naivete that Mei Yue is especially down-to-earth. This is exactly what Lin Jiali lacks.
‘Lin Jiali is like the “fairy” that she always refers herself to. She’s too arrogant, causing people to be astounded by her beauty, but they won’t have the desire to interact with her.
‘On the other hand, Yang Meiyue is like the girl next door who wants people to protect her.
‘Therefore, all she probably needs is that one chance before she can become instantly famous!’
Then, Su Yang started to ponder about making Mei Yue’s debut again...
Shortly after, Tan Mei sent over the notices that the company had received or jobs that she had to fight for. She then gave Su Yang a brief introduction of all of those before leaving the office.
Su Yang placed the notices on the table and glanced at Mei Yue.
Mei Yue did not seem to be feeling well. On top of that, Su Yang was not chatting with her, so she rested her head on the table and gradually fell asleep.
Su Yang’s eyes lit up when he saw Mei Yue sleeping.
‘Eh? What a good opportunity!’
Su Yang looked around the office. ‘This is a closed office. Other than the outer window, this office is completely sealed off from everyone else within the office. There aren’t any surveillance cameras or other small windows in here either.’
Hence, Su Yang stood up quietly and locked the office door.
Then he walked towards Mei Yue and looked at her and gulped...
At that moment, Su Yang felt like a crazy boss who was preparing to bully his beautiful employee.
However, Su Yang knew that he was not that kind of person! He really wanted to treat Mei Yue’s illness and complete his mission!
Therefore... He reached out and gently ran his hand over Mei Yue’s entire body to see where the dangerous thing was.
In the end, when his hands were at Mei Yue’s chest area, the sound of the chopsticks became louder. If not for the fact that only Su Yang could hear the sound, Su Yang felt that Yang Mei would definitely be disturbed.
‘The dangerous item is on Mei Yue’s chest?
‘How strange.
‘Could it be the bra that every woman has to wear?
‘These chopsticks can’t possibly be so demonic, can it?
‘That’s not dangerous at all!
‘Could it be that there’s radiation coming from her bra?
‘That sounds even more nonsensical!’
The situation came to a standstill once again. ‘I’ve already gone overboard by touching Mei Yue’s entire body. I can’t possibly strip her down and examine what the dangerous item exactly is, can I?
‘What should I do?’
Suddenly, Su Yang’s eyes lit up. Wait a second... I could use that!’
After coming up with a solution, Su Yang smiled and stood up. He walked over to Mei Yue and took out his... [Shape Shifting Liquid Metal MK 2] from his pocket without hesitation.
With a thought, he shrunk the liquid metal avatar to the size of an ant. Then he studied the collar of Yang Meiyue’s shirt and tossed the avatar inside.
After throwing the liquid metal avatar, Su Yang returned to his chair and laid on the table. He closed his eyes and started to control the liquid metal avatar.
[Are you sure you want to connect to the Liquid Metal Avatar?]
[Yes]
With Su Yang’s confirmation, his vision darkened. When his vision lit up again, he felt that he had landed on something soft. He looked around. ‘Huh? What is this semi-circle thing?’
