Su Yang stopped the car and dropped off Chu Xia and Wang Bei. Then, he started the car again and parked it at the side.
Business did not seem to be booming there due to the empty parking spaces. Therefore, Su Yang only had to make 2 rounds before he found a parking spot. He parked the car, turned off the engine, and got out.
It was only after he drove that Su Yang realized that it was not very convenient to drive in a big city. Sometimes, he would be able to take the taxi a few times based on the amount of time taken to park his car.
He swung his car keys and walked to the entrance of the teahouse. Su Yang realized that neither of them had gone in yet and were waiting outside.
He smiled and said, “Why didn’t you go in first?”
Fatty Lu said politely, “The VIP hasn’t arrived, how were we supposed to go in?”
The moment he said that, Su Yang understood that he really was the main character today.
Under Fatty Lu’s lead, they arrived at a private room and sat at their respective seats. Su Yang and Chu Xia sat together while Wang Bei and Fatty Lu sat together.
Fatty Lu was the person treating that day, so he naturally ordered a pot of West Lake Dragon Well Tea. Then, he ordered some appetizers before he told the waiter that that was all.
While waiting for tea, Fatty Lu said to Su Yang, “The last time I met Brother Su, we hit it off very well, I felt like we’ve known each other for a long time. Moreover, I feel that because Wang Bei and I are old classmates and friends, I invited you and Chu Xia to meet up as well.”
Su Yang smiled and said, “I also felt like I’ve known you for a long time as well.”
Su Yang asked politely, “What does your family do, Brother Lu?”
Fatty Lu waved his hand. “It’s not worth mentioning. My dad is a financial company and mainly deals in stock exchange.”
Even though Fatty Lu did not explain it in detail, Su Yang could tell from his tone that his father’s financial company was not as small as he claimed.
Sure enough, Wang Bei added softly, “His financial company is very big. Last year, they had a very famous trader, Niu Fei. Do you know him?”
‘Niu Fei... That’s an awesome name.’
However, since Wang Bei had already mentioned it, Su Yang definitely could not say that he did not know him. Therefore, he quickly nodded and said, “I’ve heard of him.”
Wang Bei said, “That’s his company’s vice president.”
Su Yang and Chu Xia revealed a look of realization and admiration as they said in unison, “Oh... Is that so? That’s impressive!”
Both of them shared the same expression. They probably understood that the both of them did not know each other, so when they heard the other say the same thing, they could not help but look at each other and laughed.
Fatty Lu’s eyes lit up when he saw the chemistry between Su Yang and Chu Xia. It was as if he had found a breakthrough point. He smiled and said, “I really envy the relationship between the two of you. It’s only when you’re involved in society that you realize how complicated people are. Only the pure kind of love you find in university is the best.”
The moment he said that, Chu Xia blushed and Su Yang felt awkward.
After all, even though both of them had a good impression of each other, they did not make it clear that they were more than friends, they were not yet lovers. Therefore, to be suddenly teased like that was quite embarrassing.
However, Fatty Lu did not say those words to offend Su Yang. It was obvious that he still had other tricks up his sleeve. Hence, he pretended to be surprised and said, “Oh, oh, sorry. Are you guys not together?”
After he had spoken and answered the question, the atmosphere became much more relaxed. Furthermore, because of his words, a warm atmosphere raised between Su Yang and Chu Xia.
Chu Xia stole a bashful glance at Su Yang before quickly averting her eyes. Su Yang also took a glance at Chu Xia and revealed an expression of admiration.
A subtle and pleasant atmosphere was born between them.
They could both feel that their relationship had just deepened a little more.
Sometimes, when a relationship reached its final stage, it was very difficult to deal with, especially when the 2 people were friends but had feelings for each other.
They would be afraid to lose a friend if they took that last step, yet they would also be afraid to miss out being in love if they didn’t.
Sometimes, there were too many concerns.
Therefore, someone needed to fan the flames.
Fatty Lu had obviously grasped that point.
‘From my point of view as a bystander, I can tell that Chu Xia’s fondness for Su Yang isn’t faked. Also, Su Yang obviously has feelings for Chu Xia as well...’
After the topic was over, the 4 of them chatted as they drank tea.
Initially, Su Yang thought that Fatty Lu was looking for him with some ulterior motive. However, as they chatted, Su Yang realized that Fatty Lu was probably just trying to befriend him.
Then, he became much more relaxed.
Furthermore, Su Yang managed to understand what it was like to be a young man with a certain family background. ‘Fatty Lu is only a few years older than me, but he is very familiar with tea and has a good hand in brewing tea as well.
‘According to him, in the south, especially in Zhehang, tea drinking was an art. One had to use spring water to make Pre-Qingming Dragon Well tea and there is a proper way of pouring the tea to show courtesy to the guests.
‘There is even a diversity of tea sets. There were teacups, tea serving pots, teapots, tea funnel sets and so on. In any case, he’s extremely knowledgeable.
‘Fatty Lu might look fair and chubby, but his movements when brewing tea are elegant and skillful. He’s different from boorish old me. One look and anybody can tell that he has especially learned the skill before.
‘In the past, I would occasionally drink tea at home or school. However, I would brew a huge bottle of it and drink it in big gulps.
‘To be honest, I feel that a teacup the size of a bottle cap isn’t even enough to rinse my teeth.
‘As for the tea leaves... I’m even more clueless about those. I can only tell if the tea tasted good, but I can’t tell exactly where it tasted good.
‘Furthermore, even if it was good, it’s still tea, it’s nothing different to me.’
Of course, no matter how ignorant Su Yang was or how indifferent he was, he would not show it. He was still polite and generous.
Fatty Lu could tell that Su Yang was not interested and was not used to it. Hence, he cleverly changed the topic to his own company.
As he brewed tea, he asked, “Brother Su, are you involved in stock investments?”
Su Yang looked at the tea that he brewed and felt that he was getting thirsty. “I am.”
Fatty Lu squeezed out a smile on his fair and chubby face. It was very comical and made one feel very comfortable looking at it. “Do you invest a lot?”
Su Yang looked at Fatty Lu’s hand that was pouring tea and replied, “It’s not much. I only invested once. Last month, I saw that the stock market was good and wanted to try it out. So, I threw in more than 4 million yuan. Then, I earned close to 10 million yuan and sold my stocks. After that, I never invested again.”
The moment Su Yang said that, the room fell silent. Fatty Lu stopped pouring tea and Chu Xia looked at Su Yang in shock. Wang Bei, who was drinking tea, spat it out and coughed non-stop.
Seeing this, Fatty Lu couldn’t care less about his shock. He quickly lowered the tea pot and reached out his chubby hand to pat her back. “Are you okay?”
Wang Bei kept rubbing her chest as she coughed, “Cough, cough, cough. I’m fine, it’s alright. I just choked.”
Chu Xia gave Su Yang a reproachful look before helping Wang Bei massage her chest.
Su Yang felt a little awkward. ‘Why is she looking at me? I wasn’t lying. I’m telling the truth!’
After a while, Wang Bei finally calmed down. She glared at Su Yang and asked, “You really know how to scare people with your jokes. You even dare to say that you’ve earned over 10 million yuan using 4 million yuan? I almost choked to death.”
Su Yang glanced at her. “You’re mistaken. It’s not over 10 million yuan, it’s close to 10 million yuan. When I checked my account, there was only about 9.7 million yuan.”
Wang Bei was speechless.
‘Is there a difference? You’ve still doubled in profit!’
Seeing that Wang Bei still wanted to question him, Fatty Lu pulled her aside and tried to mediate. “Brother Su isn’t a liar. Besides, the stock market is filled with such cases.”
“After all, when the market is good, choosing stocks and holding them for a long period of time is not a problem. Of course, this also depends on foresight and skills. Since Brother Su was able to earn so much, his skills must be good.”
Su Yang replied, “I didn’t double in a year. I only used half a month.”
The room fell silent once again.
Chu Xia was stunned.
Fatty Lu and Wang Bei were stunned as well.
This time, Fatty Lu was completely speechless. He could not believe what Su Yang had just said.
‘He doubled it within half a month?
‘How is that possible!
‘Even if he only bought 1 stock that reached its upper limit consistently, hitting its maximum 10% everyday, it would still take 8 days to double in profits! Furthermore, it has to be a continuous interest as well!
‘Half a month, that’s 15 days which means 11 days of trading. 11 trading days... 8 days of reaching its upper limit! Plus, there could not have been any issues along the way! What kind of skills does that take?
‘He chose the best stock, bought it at the lowest price, and sold it at the highest price! He even managed to find somebody to buy his stocks?!
‘How is this possible!
‘Although the stock market would rise by seven or eight days every year, most of them were not operated by the same organization and are relays.
‘In other words, after the agency raised the share price and felt that the price was about right and it was time for them to liquidate, another agency would have had to build up a storage of stocks beforehand and felt that the market was still hot before they took over and continued to raise its price.
‘This method of raising the stock price to its upper limit through different agencies is referred to as a changeover, it’s the signal for the stock to rise again and again, but it’s very difficult to meet.
‘After all, even though humans are greedy, they’re also cowardly. Who would dare to continue to hold on to a stock that has been reaching its upper limit for 3 or 4 times in a row? Wouldn’t they be afraid that the agency would cash out their stocks and turn from reaching its upper limit to lower limit?
‘Isn’t that what Xu Lu encountered?
‘On the other hand, Su Yang isn’t a professional, he’s just an amateur investor. How could he possibly have such confidence and accuracy?’
That was why Fatty Lu felt that Su Yang was boasting just by thinking about it. However, his heart was heavy and he could endure it. He only drank a cup of tea and considered whether he should continue to befriend Su Yang...
‘Is such a person really suitable to be friends?’
However, just because his thoughts were heavy did not mean that Wang Bei was heavy-hearted. When Wang Bei heard Su Yang’s words, she cried out, “How is that possible?”
Su Yang looked at her in confusion. “Why not?”
