At that moment, Spirit Building, the old monster, had already arrived beside the drop of liquid. Her back was bent and her eyes were shining with gold light as she stared at the liquid on the ground.
Su Yang walked to the liquid, squatted down, and turned on the system.
Instantly, the system interface for the drop of liquid popped up
[Special Item: Neptune Divine Oil]
Ability: This item is a drop of extremely infectious gasoline. As long as you drip it into any liquid, it can be turned into gasoline within a certain period of time.
Restriction: The speed at which gasoline is converted is related to the quality, volume and type of liquid.
Note: What is this? The king of oils! One drop of this oil and even a lake becomes a pool of oil!
‘Neptune Divine Oil? Why isn’t it called India Divine Oil?’
After reading the description of the item, Su Yang was first surprised. ‘I can make oil with water! This is the dream of so many people!
‘I remember that in the 70s’ and 80s’, many charlatans relied on this method to swindle money from various provinces.
‘The method they used was very simple. They just poured the gasoline into a hidden container at the bottom and then poured water into it. When the experiment starts, they would pour in a lotion that could mix the oil and water. Then, when they opened the container, the gasoline at the bottom would come out and fuse with the water, making it flammable.
‘At the time, this scheme had managed to scam countless.
‘Later, as science began developing, everyone realized that turning water into oil was fake and impossible.
‘Yet, who knew that the system would actually be able to make it a reality now!
‘However... The introduction only mentioned how to use it but did not say how to retrieve it. So this item is another one-time use item that’s the same as [Studying By The Cold Window Talisman], isn’t it?
‘If this liquid drops inside, it will no longer be usable...
‘Then, wouldn’t I become invincible if I threw this into the sea...
‘Although he did not know how long it would actually take, there will come a day when all the water in the world turns into gasoline...
‘Then, if I throw a torch at it and light up the entire Earth, it’d be the fireworks of the century.
‘Tsk, tsk, tsk. This is absolutely genius.’
After retracting his evil and boring thoughts, Su Yang explained the ability of [Neptune Divine Oil] to Spirit Building, who was beside him. When he was done, he asked, “Now that the two special items are out, could you tell me about what you’ve discovered?”
Spirit Building pondered for a while and said, “I still don’t have enough samples. I won’t be able to give you a sufficient explanation.”
Su Yang facepalmed. “Can you at least tell me what you’ve found?”
Spirit Building nodded and said, “When you were making these two special items, I had actually been injecting spiritual energy into my eyes to observe the changes during your production.”
“When you first created these two special items, there was actually no reaction at all. However, when you added the Little Monster Bean fragments, the whole item instantly became different.
Su Yang asked, “Different?”
Spirit Building spoke like an old lady as she said, “Yes, it became different.”
“They were originally inanimate objects without any life force or spiritual energy.
“However, when the Little Monster Bean fragments were added, the item became more active, it’s like they’ve been brought alive with an abundance of spiritual energy stored inside.
“After that, all your other actions only sped up their reaction.”
Su Yang said, “Doesn’t that mean that everything that I’ve done was actually useful? Have I managed to make them give birth to special abilities?”
Spirit Building slowly shook her head, confusion written all over her wrinkled face. “This is what I’m confused about. After you finished making those two special items, they only contained spiritual energy without any means of it being utilized. Plus, they did not have any special abilities.”
“However, when you submitted those two items, the spiritual energy in them became activated, forming an amazing cycle.
“However, the difference is that the first special item seems to have been completely changed, and it’s completely different from the one you submitted. However, the second special item seems to only have its spiritual energy activated.
Su Yang said in surprise, “So you’re saying that these two special items are different? The first one being a completely new item given by the system, while the second is the one that I made?”
Spirit Building nodded with drooping eyelids. “That should be the case.”
After saying that, she shook her head slowly. “Let’s stop here. I need to head back and summarize everything. There are some things that can’t be seen without activating my spiritual energy and I can’t describe them either.”
“Furthermore, I’ve only seen the production of two special items, so I still need to continue expanding my sample range.”
Su Yang stopped her. “Then let me ask you this. If we can find a way to activate the spiritual energy and I can complete all the steps for the second item and create a semi-finished product that doesn’t have its spiritual energy activated, would you be able to activate its spiritual energy and make them a new special item?”
Spirit Building hesitated for a moment. “I think... I’m 70% confident.”
Su Yang added, “Do you not need for me to add a point for you?”
Spirit Building nodded. “I don’t need an added point from you.”
She explained, “While I was observing, I had been paying attention to the flow of spiritual energy. In conclusion, I think there are two main purposes during your production process.”
“The first is that it’s a ritual. A ritual is something that brings power with it. By using a specific ritual, you are able to trigger a specific power.”
“The second is the combination of matter. Just like a chemical reaction, different substances will react differently when combined in different order.
“It is very likely that the system is guiding you to complete these two purposes. Finally, after activating its spiritual energy, a special item will be borned.
“Therefore, if you are able to perfectly redo this special item and we’re able to find a way to activate the spiritual energy, we might be able to create a completely identical special item! Also, there’s no need to add points anymore!
Thus, Su Yang now had an idea about what he should do!
‘This is the final goal of my research, to be able to create special items without the system and without having to add points!’
He then said, “Then I’ll have to trouble you. Looks like you’re still going to have to find a way to activate the spiritual energy as soon as possible!”
Spirit Building nodded. Her wrinkled face was filled with fatigue. “I’ll head back and get some rest first. Then, I’ll think about how you’d be able to activate your spiritual energy.”
“Sigh, now that I’m old, I haven’t got enough energy. We’re never able to appreciate how energetic we are when we’re young, by the time we grow old... Sigh.”
Su Yang was confused
‘Why are you blabbering nonsense again?
‘You old pervert!
‘Do you know that I’d be committing... Incest... If I have any reaction towards you, who’s an old lady?’
After getting Little Deeny to bring the old woman back to her room, Su Yang pondered over the special item in his hand. ‘Currently, this [Neptune Divine Oil] is most likely a one-time use item. However, since I now know how to produce this item, I should be able to create a second one.
‘In that case, would I be able to use it to [Fuse] with a special item?’
At that thought, Su Yang called Little Hus over.
Little Hus was still showering with Janet at that moment. ‘I wonder what kind of wonder drug is this f*cking dog using, their relationship seems to be flaring up at an extremely rapid rate.’
Hence, when Su Yang went to look for him, the f*cking dog was still a little unhappy. It glared at Su Yang. “What do you want?!”
Su Yang felt like it was going to bite him in the next second...
Su Yang said, “I’m about to [Fuse] a special item, so I’m here for you to take a sniff and make a judgment beforehand.”
Little Hus glared at Su Yang like a husky. “What do you take me for? A detector! I’m busy!”
Su Yang shouted, “Jan...”
“I’m sorry!” Little Hus immediately knelt down.
‘As expected, Little Hus’s Achilles’ heel is Janet! The moment I call Janet, it’d become terrified.’
Su Yang shook his head slightly. ‘Hmph, even if this f*cking dog is able to be together with Janet in the future, the most it could be useful for is with its mouth...
‘Hold on? Which one of them would be the wife?
‘Doesn’t matter. One’s a human while the other’s a dog, which is already even more serious than who’s the “wife”. I’d better not let my imagination run wild. Now that my “children” are all grown up, there’s nothing more I can do to control them. Sigh...’
After carrying Janet out, Little Hus became much more obedient. He started to sniff the [Neptune Divine Oil] and [A Talent Printer That Likes To Jog] obediently.
After sniffing for a while, it said, “Yes, it has potential. These two can be fused.”
Su Yang was pleasantly surprised. “Really? That’s great. I’ll fuse them together then.”
However, before Su Yang could summon the system, Little Hus continued, “By the way, Su Yang, why don’t you try fusing the [Neptune Divine Oil] with other items? There might be some other changes.”
Su Yang waved his hand. “I don’t need any other special items now.”
A conflicted expression appeared on Little Hus’s face. It said, “Actually, I can smell that this [Neptune Divine Oil] has quite a lot of potential. I feel like it would be a pity to just fuse those two together like that.”
‘A lot of potential?’
There was no way Su Yang would not listen to Little Hus. “What do you mean?”
Little Hus thought for a while and said, “After the system has been upgraded, didn’t it have two additional functions? One is [Fusion], while the other is [Decomposition]. You’ve only used [Fusion], but not [Decomposition].”
“Why don’t you add some points onto this [Neptune Divine Oil] and see if you are able to receive any other abilities. Then, you could use the [Decomposition] function to break down the first ability and fuse it with the [A Talent Printer That Likes To Jog].”
“Wouldn’t that be the perfect plan?”
Su Yang looked at Little Hus in shock.’ What the f*ck! Is this actually something that Little Hus came up with? It’s very clear and logical. In fact, I would even believe it if it was Little Deeny who came up with the idea!
‘However, now that I think about it, this idea isn’t actually that bad.’
Su Yang patted Little Hus’s head. “I think you’re right! Let’s do as you say!”
“As your reward! I won’t be taking Janet out with me to work recently, so I’ll give you two a break!”
The moment Little Hus heard that, it jumped up into the sky with its four legs. Its eyes were sparkling as it said, “Su Yang! You’re literally the definition of a handsome man! You’re the most handsome man in the world!”
With that said, it ran away while jumping around!
Su Yang was confused
‘I’m the definition of a handsome man? Is that a compliment? Is it possible that it means that I’m a handsome man?
‘Whatever, how great would a dog be able to praise someone? I guess I should be happy that it didn’t compliment me by saying that I’m a dog.’
After complaining, Su Yang picked up the [Neptune Divine Oil] from the ground and turned on the system to add more points onto it.
As the system opened, a semi-transparent [+] symbol appeared on the [Neptune Divine Oil].
Su Yang tapped on the [+] symbol.
A notification popped up in front of him:
[Are you sure you want to add a third point? The failure rate of adding points three times will greatly increase. If you fail, the item will be completely damaged.]
‘Eh? +3?
‘Oh... Right! This [Neptune Divine Oil] is already a +2 item.
‘Even though it only has one ability, it’s very likely that the first or second point it received was a useless point, so it was not shown.
‘In that case, this item is indeed a +3 item and there’s a possibility of it failing.’
With that thought in mind, Su Yang took out two [Protection Talismans] from the system and pasted them on the [Neptune Divine Oil]. After that, he then proceeded to add a point onto it!
After the two [Protection Talismans] were pasted on the [Neptune Divine Oil], the drop of gold liquid began to glow with a faint orange light.
After he was done with his insurance plans, Su Yang clicked on the semi-transparent [+] symbol on the [Neptune Divine Oil].
[Are you sure you want to add a third point? The failure rate of adding points three times will greatly increase. If you fail, the item will be completely damaged.]
[Yes]
