This time, Su Yang wanted to do a lot of things during the period of good luck. Hence, he took a lot of photos of himself. ‘I have to be ruthless. If everything comes out half-baked because I’m not lucky enough, what am I supposed to do about it?’
Therefore, that time, Su Yang used all his strength to slap his face. Even though Su Yang was mentally prepared, he still felt dizzy and saw stars.
His head was spinning and he felt like his nose might have been broken because he heard a loud crack that sounded like a nose being broken.
Su Yang shook his head and felt a warm sensation in his nose. He touched his face and there was blood all over it.
Su Yang looked at the countdown on the brick, [29:42].
‘I’ve already wasted 20 seconds, I can’t waste any more.’ As he thought about that, Su Yang picked up the cup of ginseng water that No. 18 was holding and downed it in one gulp.
As the ginseng water entered his stomach, Su Yang felt an itch on his face as though his injuries were recovering.
He did not have time to continue checking his wounds. Instead, he quickly carried out his plan.
He carried Jin Jin and placed it in front of him and opened the system store.
[Random Point]*666
[Protection Talisman]*999
Recipe Item: Empty
Random Prize: Empty
Since he had already made the recipe item for that week and bought the random prizes, the items in the last 2 slots had become empty.
Su Yang had just tickled Jin Jin, hence she was still very obedient and did not dare to move an inch.
When both the [Protection Talisman] were pasted on her, her body started to glow with orange light.
Su Yang did not waste any time and activated the system seamlessly. Instantly, a translucent [+] symbol appeared on her body.
Su Yang tapped on the [+] symbol on Jin Jin.
A notification popped up in front of him.
[Are you sure you want to add a third point? The failure rate of adding a third point will greatly increase. If you fail, the item will be completely damaged.]
Su Yang, who had succeeded a few times before, waved his hand and the Little Monster Beans who stood beside him carried Jin Jin far away.
After the Little Monster Bean placed Jin Jin on the ground and retreated, Su Yang clicked at the [Yes] option in front of him.
As he clicked to confirm, the orange light enveloping her body suddenly exploded. With a boom, dust flew into the air, and shockwaves rolled!
At that moment, Su Yang did not care about the explosion of shockwaves. After he clicked [Yes], he lowered his head and took out a shiny silver voucher from his pocket.
Not too far away from him, a powerful orange light exploded around Jin Jin, who was lying on the ground. The orange light seemed to have a life of its own as it carried her into the air and stopped.
After that, orange ribbons of light were pulled out from Jin Jin’s body. Then, they wrapped around her layer by layer before turning into a cocoon of light.
At the same time, a countdown appeared on the cocoon. [59:59]...
‘This means it will take an hour to complete adding a point for Jin Jin...’
In fact, Su Yang had thought about not adding a point for Jin Jin first, he regretted his actions when the cocoon of light soared. However, after thinking about it for a long time, he felt that...’This is actually a 50-50 issue.
‘Because adding a point for Jin Jin would take an hour, but [Lucky Disfiguring Brick] only provides 30 minutes of lucky period, hence no matter how I arrange it, I wouldn’t be able to overcome the amount of time Jin Jin requires to add a point.
‘In fact, I have no idea how to confirm when the outcome for adding a point would be made.’
‘If the outcome had been decided the moment I added a point, I would have to slap my face first before adding the point.
‘If the outcome were to be decided when the cocoon is formed, then I would need to add the point first before slapping my face.
‘However, since this is the first time, no matter what method was used, it’s a 50-50 gamble.’
Compared to the outcome of adding points when the cocoon of light was formed, Su Yang believed that the moment he added the point, the outcome would have been decided. Therefore, he slapped his face first before adding the point.
Su Yang did not bother about Jin Jin anymore after adding a point for her. Since he had already made his decision, there was no point in regretting it. Furthermore, the next thing he had to do was the main event. Su Yang took out the [Silver Ability Blessing Voucher] from his pocket.
‘This voucher is actually very interesting. From the name of the voucher, “Blessing”, It’s like when I draw a Silver Ability, I could increase the level of a Silver Ability.
‘However, if I just follow according to the explanation of the voucher, it seems like I could directly increase the level of an existing Silver Ability.
Therefore, there was no way to confirm the function of this certificate!’
When Su Yang received the certificate, he was also confused. He did not know how the voucher worked. He did not know which explanation sounded normal.
Luckily, after the system became +2, there was an additional help system. Hence, Su Yang used the help system to check the exact function of that voucher.
This time, what he got was not just a short sentence or ambiguous words, but a simple and direct explanation.
‘This voucher has two effects.
‘Firstly, I could pray to receive blessings for all my existing Silver Abilities and there would be a chance to increase the level of the Silver Abilities. The success rate is related to the level and attributes of the Silver Ability.
‘Secondly, I could pray to receive a blessing when I drawed a Silver Ability’s “Level” and there would also be a chance to increase the level of the Silver Ability.
‘Therefore, this voucher isn’t ambiguous at all. Instead, it has 2 effects!
‘This 8,000 coins spent is definitely worth it!’
As to whether Su Yang chose the first or second effect, Su Yang chose the first effect without any hesitation.
That was because he had his lucky period at that moment.
At that moment, Su Yang was very confident that he could complete the Gold Mission in less than a month!
When the time came to draw a Silver Ability and it was not his lucky period, it would be a complete waste of the voucher.
Hence, after much consideration, Su Yang decided to include the [Silver Ability Blessing Voucher] in his plans for that day!
Then, Su Yang tore open the [Silver Ability Blessing Voucher] in his hand without hesitation.
Suddenly, a notification popped up in front of him.
[Please choose the ability to bless]
[1. Hands Of Fate A-rank 3%]
[2. Heaven’s Eyes B-rank 43%]
[3. Absolute Verbal Contract D-rank 57%]
Su Yang only had three Silver Abilities, so there were only three options.
The name of each ability, rank and the success rate of being blessed were all indicated by the system. It was very simple and direct.
Su Yang looked at the countdown timer on the brick. There were still 20 minutes left, hence he still had time to have a good think about it.
‘These 3 Silver Abilities aren’t as inconsistent as Bronze Abilities and Special Items, they are all very valuable. It doesn’t matter which ability I give this opportunity to, I won’t feel that it’s a waste. In fact, I think that it’s worthwhile no matter what.
‘But... These abilities have their own ranks and success rate.’
Su Yang looked at the ranks and success rates of the 3 abilities and immediately ruled out [Hands Of Fate].
‘The success rate of blessing this ability is too low, using this on it is literally a gamble.
‘It’s 3%! Even if I do it during the lucky period, it would still take a miracle to succeed.’
Right after that, Su Yang eliminated [Absolute Verbal Contract]. ‘Although the success rate of that is similar to [Heaven’s Eyes], its rank is too low, it’s only D-ranked. It feels like a waste to use this voucher for it.
In the end, Su Yang decided on the ability that he wanted to use the voucher on, [Heaven’s Eyes] that had a success rate of 43%.
Moreover, according to the system’s description, the success rate was related to the level and attributes of the Silver ability. [Heaven’s Eyes] was so high, but the success rate was similar to that of a D-rank, which meant that its attributes were suitable for leveling up.
That was why Su Yang chose it.
After making up his mind, Su Yang chose the second option without hesitation, [Heaven’s Eyes].
As he chose that option, he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his eyes, it felt like he was being burned.
When he opened his eyes again, there was nothing before him. He could not see anything...
He did not feel that it was dark, he merely... Couldn’t see. There was nothing before him. No objects, no colors, nothing at all...
Su Yang had no idea what was going on.
‘Did I fail?’
‘At that moment, a notification popped up before his eyes.
[Silver Ability Blessing Voucher has been successfully used, ability upgrade in progress.]
Su Yang clicked on the notification in front of him. However, the notification disappeared.
‘What comes after? Is there no countdown timer?!
‘Your d*mn ability has blinded my eyes!
‘It’s fine if you take 1 minute to complete the upgrade, but if you take 10 years, I won’t be able to live!’
However, like before, the system was cold and did not respond.
Su Yang had always been a decisive person. He suppressed the worry in his heart and took a deep breath. ‘No matter what, since things had already come to this, the plan must go on!’
The good news was that even though he could not see, all the notifications from the system and the system were obviously controlled through his mind, so he could still draw a Bronze Ability!
Su Yang shouted, “Little Deeny!”
“Master, what’s wrong?” Little Deeny’s voice rang in Su Yang’s ears. However, for some reason, Su Yang felt distant.
He looked around. There was still nothing in front of him, he could see nothing. However, he knew that he was standing in the yard, to his left was the swimming pool and to his right was the cocoon of light that now floated in the air. Behind him was the door to the villa and beneath his feet... the ground of the yard. All he couldn’t do was see anything...
‘This is a scary feeling. I’m clearly aware of everything around me, but I can’t see anything.’
Su Yang suppressed the fear in his heart and said to Little Deeny, “Help me move a chair over and help me sit down.”
Even though she did not know why Su Yang would make such a request, Little Deeny had always been obedient. Hence, she obediently moved a chair for Su Yang.
After sitting on the chair, Su Yang called out to the system. Looking at the simple yet familiar panel, Su Yang felt extremely close to it. Everything that he could see now felt familiar.
Opening the mission list, Su Yang chose the only Bronze Mission and clicked on [Check Reward]...
