Chu Xia smiled awkwardly, “It’s alright. I’m not interested in luxury cars.”
The girl on the lower bunk asked curiously, “Why not? Do you not find luxury cars to be cool?”
Chu Xia’s mind was filled with the strange voice that echoed in her heart a moment ago. Hence, she really wasn’t in the mood to discuss that topic with her dorm mates. She said perfunctorily, “It’s possible that I’ve been allergic to sedans and sportscars since I was young. So I’ve always preferred to take the buses when I travel. It’s more environmental as well...”
The girl on the lower bunk was speechless.
There was nothing for her to say anymore.
After brushing off her roommate, Chu Xia lay down. Su Yang’s voice still echoed in her mind: ‘Chu Xia, I miss you.’
She was certain that she did not hear wrongly because the voice was extremely clear and loud. ‘It’s definitely Su Yang!
‘I’m sure that I wasn’t hallucinating or being hysterical, but... what the h*ck’s going on! Could it be... telepathy?
‘Is Su Yang thinking about me?
‘Have I heard his inner thoughts?
‘Is that possible?’
Chu Xia hesitantly reached out to touch the pillow and found her phone. She held it in front of her and opened it.
There was a pink bear as her screen’s wallpaper which looked cute and the green WeChat icon was right on the bear’s stomach.
Chu Xia opened her WeChat. The first line of her WeChat list was slightly darker which she especially customized.
The name of the person at the top of her WeChat was a little special. It was written as “The great CEO Su who seduced a new student. Yuck!”
This was the nickname she had changed for Su Yang when she was angry for the past two days...
In the past, his nickname was [The president who always skips classes].
Anyway, it was all sorts of weird but cozy nicknames when you see it... ‘
She clicked into the chat and sent Su Yang a message. ‘Were you thinking about me just now?’
Just as she was about to send it, Chu Xia hesitated again. ‘Why does it sound like... a confession? Wouldn’t that sound too weird?’
After thinking for a long time, Chu Xia deleted her text. In the end, she only sent a question mark.
‘If Su Yang really was thinking about me just now, he’ll definitely understand why I sent him that question mark.
‘On the contrary, if I was hallucinating and thought too much about the situation, when Su Yang asks me why I have sent him a question mark, I’ll just say... There was a cat in the dormitory and it accidentally pressed my phone!
‘Oh my God! Chu Xia, you’re such a smart girl!’ Chu Xia thought happily...
However, she had only been happy for two seconds when she saw the question mark on the screen and her face fell again. ‘Hold on. Why did I send this idiot a WeChat message just like that?
‘It was my first day of class yesterday, but he didn’t even come to see me! Moreover, he was flirting with other girls! I shouldn’t have bothered myself with him! Yet, why did I suddenly send him a WeChat message?!’
With this thought in mind, Chu Xia quickly pressed on the question mark and clicked [Recall].
After recalling the message, Chu Xia was dumbfounded again. ‘Why did I recall the message... Oh my God, I won’t be able to explain this at all. He must have thought that I was taking the initiative to reconcile with him. I won’t be able to explain myself even if I want to!
‘I must be going crazy, why am I being a fool by making the situation worse?!
‘Where has my intelligence gone recently!?’
Chu Xia lightly hit herself on the head twice and slumped on the bed with her arms and legs fanned out. She felt like she had nothing to live for anymore.
She felt that... she had given up. Su Yang could think whatever she wanted. She had become fearless of everything...
Time continued to tick by.
1 minute, 2 minutes, 3 minutes... Even after 10 minutes, there was still no reply from Su Yang.
Chu Xia picked up her phone and stared at WeChat with her beautiful eyes. She was puzzled. ‘What? That can’t be right... Why isn’t he replying to me?
‘Is it because he doesn’t have his phone with him at the moment?
‘But it’s so late at night, where could he be without his phone?
‘Even if he doesn’t want to talk to me, he should probably have been curious and ask why did I recall that message...’
Chu Xia’s mind was filled with waves of question marks that she was almost going to drown in them.
‘What could possibly be the reason...’
Amidst her confusion, a bolt of lightning suddenly flashed across Chu Xia’s mind!
‘Could it be that I haven’t got reception?’
Chu Xia’s eyes lit up. ‘That sounds very... reasonable!
‘The reception in the dormitory has always been weak, especially on my bed. I’m probably not receiving his message because I haven’t got a signal on my phone.’
With that thought in mind, Chu Xia peeked out and looked at her roommates. They were still playing by themselves. She quietly climbed out of bed and went to the balcony. Then, she raised her phone up high like the Statue Of Liberty.
1 second, 2 seconds, 3 seconds... 10 seconds later...
“Still nothing?” mumbled Chu Xia softly as she retracted her hand to look at her phone with her cheeks pouted.
She looked down at the dormitory. There were many people walking around, and some of them seemed to be pointing at her like she was being crazy.
Chu Xia immediately hurried back to her dormitory.
Instead of returning to bed, she went to her desk. She held her phone and looked at it listlessly. After a while, she still did not receive anything from WeChat.
She walked down the corridor with her phone.
Her anxious heart made her restless.
There was only one thought in her mind. ‘Why haven’t you replied to my WeChat message yet! Why haven’t you replied! Ahhh!’
Just as she was about to go crazy. ‘Is my phone broken!
‘That’s it! My phone must be broken!’
Thinking of this, she called Qu Xiaomeng to test it out.
Du du...
The phone rang twice before Qu Xiaomeng picked it up. “Hello, Chu Xia? What’s the matter?”
“Ugh...” Chu Xia whined. “There’s clearly a signal on my phone, so it isn’t broken... What’s going on?”
She squatted on the ground and told Qu Xiaomeng weakly, “Xiaomeng, Su Yang is ignoring me...”
Qu Xiaomeng asked in confusion, “How is he ignoring you?”
Chu Xia was about to complain to her best friend, but before she could say anything, she received a WeChat notification all of a sudden.
Chu Xia’s eyes lit up. She quickly took the phone from her ear and took a look. It was indeed a WeChat message from Su Yang!
Chu Xia and Qu Xiaomeng were more than familiar with each other by that time, so Chu Xia did not stand on ceremony and immediately said, “Xiaomeng, I’ll be hanging up now. Su Yang has replied to my message on WeChat!”
With that, she mercilessly hung up on Qu Xiaomeng!
“Beep, beep, beep...” Qu Xiaomeng, who was in her sports attire, was stunned for a moment when she found out that the phone call had been hung up. ‘What the h*ll? She’s the one who called me out of the blue, yet hung up on me out of the blue as well...’
After testing out Old Tungsten’s ability, he was bored and went downstairs to feed the sharks.
Even though Janet was there, feeding the sharks was still scary.
Hence, Su Yang focused all his attention on feeding the sharks without even daring to relax himself.
As for why he was feeding the sharks, it was because he wanted to build a relationship with them.
After all, he did not want to solely rely on Janet’s [By The Order Of The King] to suppress the sharks. He wanted to become a shark tamer by himself.
Therefore, he personally caught a few fish that Little Hus had traded for and fed them to the 3 sharks. In order to be able to improve the relationship between him and the sharks, after feeding the sharks, Su Yang even had some intimate contact with them.
Therefore, while he was feeding the sharks, even though he heard the notification sound coming from his phone and knew that someone had sent him a WeChat message, he was at a crucial moment and did not have time to respond to it at all.
Until... Chu Xia said his name which triggered his [Heaven’s Eyes], only then he happened to see Chu Xia calling Qu Xiaomeng to complain about him. Immediately, he realized that Chu Xia had sent him a WeChat message but he had ignored her for more than half an hour.
Su Yang quickly wiped his hands and took out Little Deeny to reply to Chu Xia.
Su Yang maintained a very pleasant tone because he knew Chu Xia was already feeling anxious, he ended up chatting with Chu Xia for almost half an hour in the end. Chu Xia was initially angry and did not want to talk to Su Yang. However, after Su Yang coaxed her for a while, she quickly surrendered and began chatting with him.
The two of them had reconciled because of that incident.
Furthermore, Su Yang had also invited Chu Xia to go over to his house the next day to play with the sharks.
When Chu Xia saw Su Yang’s message, she was shocked. ‘Sharks? Su Yang’s family has got sharks in his house? Wasn’t he renting a basement outside of the school? Where did the sharks come from? Has he renovated his basement into an aquarium?’
However, at the thought of Su Yang inviting her to his house, Chu Xia happily agreed despite feeling uneasy.
Whilst she was curious about Su Yang’s house and the sharks he had in there, Chu Xia went off to have a good night’s sleep.
Su Yang, on the other hand, was not in a hurry to sleep as he had the [3 Days Without Sleep Halo] on. After chatting with Chu Xia, he released the Little Monster Beans and began cleaning up the villa. ‘Since Chu Xia is coming tomorrow, I’ve got to clean up properly.’
Even though the villa was of a decent size, it was still not as big as Su Yang’s virtual space. There was only a lawn with no swimming pool included. Therefore, other than cleaning up the house, Su Yang had the Little Monster Beans trim the lawn with scissors.
When he was done, all the trash accumulated was moved into the virtual space and tossed away altogether.
That was the only good thing about the virtual space. It could clean up the trash directly.
As for Su Yang, he was decorating the shark tank. Perhaps due to Janet’s influence, he really liked the 3 sharks he had at home.
This was especially true since the 3 sharks all seemed ferocious, yet they were able to remain obedient as he took care of them. Therefore, Su Yang was indulged by the sense of accomplishment that came from the bottom of his heart.
He had already begun training the ferocious bull sharks in the tank to do a few tricks since they could not stick out their tongues like puppies and shake hands with others.
But Su Yang had a unique way of training the 3 sharks... One moment they would be lined up to form the letter “Y”, the next moment they would form the letter “I” as they swam...
It was an experience he had learned from his first grade language textbook...’If geese could fly like that, of course the sharks would be able to swim like that as well...’
Due to the spring cleaning that Su Yang had to do, he did not have time to use the [Bronze Ability Enhancement Voucher] on Sanque. Naturally, he did not have time to add points to [Memory Labyrinth Hourglass] either.
Therefore, after thinking about it, Su Yang decided to postpone the matter since it was not very urgent at the time.
The next morning, Su Yang packed up, took a shower and ran to school.
It was a Saturday on that day, many students were walking out of the school together and many couples were returning early in the morning as well.
Su Yang ran to the female dormitory and sent a message to Chu Xia. ‘I’m here. When are you coming out?’
A moment later, Chu Xia replied, ‘What? You’re here early. Give me a moment. I haven’t gotten out of bed yet...’
Su Yang was not in a hurry at all. He had originally planned to jog around the campus to train himself, so he replied, ‘Sure, no problem. I’ll just go for a jog then. You take your time.’
After that, Su Yang went to the school field to begin jogging.
He had only run two laps when his phone suddenly rang.
Little Deeny’s voice also reached his ear. “Master, it’s Tang Jing.”
As Su Yang jogged, he said, “Pick it up.”
“Yes.”
A moment later, Tang Jing’s voice came from the receiver. “Su Yang, are you available today?”
