Chapter 736 - Worms Floating In The Air?
Compared to the people in the financial industry, netizens were more naive and more realistic.
After so many years of discrimination between Hong Kong and the mainland, most netizens had a positive attitude toward this matter.
Furthermore, in the past, only Hong Kong or foreign capitalists had been able to stir up trouble within the country. Now, one of the domestic financial institutions finally had the capability and ability to go out and cause trouble, so they were extremely proud.
Therefore, the internet was filled with praises.
Since the matter had blown up, it was only natural that the five presidents who helped Su Yang knew about it as well.
However, after reading the article and the comments from the netizens, the few presidents were not able to link the matter to Su Yang. After all, they did not know that Su Yang had a huge sum of money in Switzerland, nor did they think that he had the capability.
As for the article that had mentioned that several domestic banks helped transfer the money to Hong Kong...
At the time, the economy in the country was growing, so it was normal for incoming and outgoing transactions to happen and no one would think about themselves whenever something happened to them.
Therefore, the matter quietly fermented, but the person involved didn’t take it to heart.
Young Master Ying was the only one who felt that something was amiss. After all, Su Yang did not tell the few presidents that he had transferred his assets to invest in stocks, except for Young Master Ying himself.
Therefore, he immediately linked this matter to Su Yang.
However, after he carefully investigated the monetary value and turmoil of the incident with Xinli Education, he started to suspect... ‘Is Su Yang really behind this?
‘Hundreds of billions of yuan worth of market capitalization has literally vanished and an entire sector got massacred directly. In fact, I even heard that there’s a new type of financial tactic being played here. So, no matter what, I just can’t link this incident to Su Yang.’
If even Young Master Ying, who knew about the information, was skeptical about it, the rest of them would have even less of a chance to think about this. Hence, they did not even think about Su Yang being related to the matter at all.
Tang Jing’s family was one of the examples. Fatty Lu’s parents had talked to him about this incident during dinner and had told him to learn this financial tactic so that he could try it in China in the future.
In the blink of an eye, two days passed.
As expected, several financial institutions in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange published the article, ‘Hong Kong Stock Exchange’s Online Education Sector Is Dying. Who Is It That Siphoned 100 Billion Yuan Worth Of Market Value (2)’.
Compared to the first part of the article, the second part had more information in it as it listed in detail the holding company who was involved in emptying out the online education sector within the Hong Kong Stock Exchange... Cayman Jiadian (International) Group.
Immediately after that, they managed to dig out the owner of the company and determined that there was a high chance that the company belonged to Su Yang, who was doing well in the mainland recently.
Other than the fact that the company’s name was the same, some of the accounts were opened under Su Yang’s name and the billions of yuan of HKD were transferred to Hong Kong under his name.
All of these things proved that Su Yang was involved in this incident.
After uncovering the mastermind behind this incident, the financial institutions did not stop there. Instead, they continued to dig up the financial tactic that Su Yang used.
They realized that Su Yang’s methods were especially similar to high-frequency trading, but it was also different at the same time.
Then, they compiled all of the openly-known information about Su Yang... They knew that Jiadian Group was the leading artificial intelligence research and development company within China. Therefore, they suspected that Su Yang had utilized artificial intelligence during these transactions to suppress the stock price.
After making a guess about the entire incident, the financial institutions made a rough estimate of Su Yang’s profit at that moment to be between HKD 2.5 billion and 4 billion.
In other words, they estimated that Su Yang had earned HKD 2.5 billion to 4 billion throughout those 10 days! Based on this, they could tell how terrifying Su Yang’s profits were.
At the same time, they also found out about the company that Su Yang opened in the Cayman Islands and also the small island in Hawaii that he had just bought. Based on this, they could determine that Su Yang had profited greatly from the recent financial war.
After the incident with Xinli Education, these financial companies re-evaluated Su Yang’s net worth based on his recent actions and achievements to be around 19 billion yuan, whereby it is predicted that 7 billion yuan out of the total amount were in cash.
In other words, Su Yang’s net worth had increased by 10 billion yuan in just three months!
Therefore, after this article was published, these financial institutions also gave this article a terrifying subtitle... ‘The True Culprit Behind The Bloodbath Within Hong Kong Stock Exchange: A Young Genius Who Has Started From Scratch At 19 Years Old And Has A Net Worth Of 20 Billion Yuan.’
Sure enough, this was an exaggeration often used by the media in Hong Kong that was different from the truth.
However, again, it is the same situation... As exaggerated and surreal it was, it still managed to attract readers’ attention.
As a result, when this article was published, the entire Chinese community exploded.
‘A bloodbath in Hong Kong! He earned 4 billion yuan?! A net worth of 20 billion yuan?! 7 billion of it is in cash and he’s only 19 years old?!’
Each label was enough to make people excited, and when all of these labels are gathered on one person, that person would instantly become a legend.
Hence, Su Yang became famous because of this article.
In order to prevent Cao Qiguang from harming him, Su Yang had had stranger mode activated for his [Space Traversing Eyes] in order to be safe. Later on, he kept it on as an insurance as well. However, he did not expect that the article would almost drain him of his spiritual energy.
In that instant, hundreds of video pop-up windows popped up in front of Su Yang, and they were increasing at a speed of dozens of videos per second.
The video was filled with people that Su Yang did not know but were discussing about him, including men and women, the young and the old. All in all, there were all kinds of people involved.
However, Su Yang could not see them clearly because his vision had turned grey and his mind had gone blank as he almost fainted.
Even though he was on the verge of fainting, Su Yang knew that this was a critical moment. Therefore, at the last moment, he endured the pain in his head that was about to explode and forcefully deactivated the [Space Traversing Eyes].
The moment the ability was deactivated, Su Yang felt his vision turning dark and he fainted.
The moment he fainted, Su Yang did not forget to complain in his heart. ‘So it’s true that people would be fearful of becoming famous!’
When Su Yang fainted, not only were the strangers exploding, even the people around Su Yang exploded as well.
Liao Duoduo, who was jealous and suspicious of Su Yang just now, opened her mouth wider and wider when she saw the information on Su Yang on her phone. After a while, she said, “19 billion yuan? Plus, 7 billion yuan out of that amount is in cash?”
Liao Duoduo only felt countless zeros floating past her eyes since it had already exceeded the limits of her imagination.
Hence, she could not help but recall how she suspected that Su Yang was greedy for that one million yuan at the time and wished she could slap herself. ‘He’s managed to earn 4 billion yuan within ten days...
‘So, what’s 1 million yuan to him? It’s just a few zeroes within the loads more of zeroes...
‘I was absolutely ridiculous.’
On the other hand, Fatty Lu and his family were eating together at the time. However, when they saw the news, they all fell silent.
Fatty Lu’s face was filled with shock and disbelief. ‘The friend I unintentionally made is actually this amazing? Oh my God!’
Tang Jing’s stepmother, on the other hand, had a cold expression on her face and did not speak for a while.
After Tang Jing’s father read the news, he gave a comforting smile. He looked at his wife and asked, “Is this Xiao Jing’s...?”
Tang Jing’s stepmother nodded silently.
Hence, Tang Jing’s father’s smile widened.
On the other hand, the production team of “The Legend Of Wu Zetian” had never thought that the person they had been gossiping about would suddenly make everyone see him in a completely different light.
Apart from that, inside the female lead’s minivan, Han Yi was also staring at the phone in her hand with shock written all over her face. Her assistant, Xiao Tu, was ecstatic as she held her hands to her chest and kept mumbling, “Oh my God! Mr. Su is so young and promising! He’ll be my idol from now on!”
Countless people were shocked by this news. Regardless of whether they knew Su Yang or not, anyone who had read this article would know that there was a young genius in the eastern country who had started from scratch at 19 years old. On top of that, this young man had a net worth of 20 billion yuan and had recently massacred the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Even the Hong Kong investors fell silent upon hearing this.
Even though they still felt sorry for the money that they had lost, they did not know what to say when faced with a young man who was young enough to be their child.
Would they have to lament at how their years of lives had been wasted? Or would they have to blame their child for not being as outstanding as Su Yang?
Thus, all of this continued to ferment while Su Yang missed everything because he was unconscious...
After some time, Su Yang woke up from his coma.
Beside him was Dagger Girl, who was in a Barbie doll’s outfit as she leaned her head against Su Yang’s pillow and stared at Su Yang adorably with her big eyes.
When she saw that Su Yang had woken up, she blinked her big eyes and exclaimed in her coquettish voice, “Brother Su Yang, you’re awake!”
Su Yang felt dizzy, hence he shook his head as he sat up. “I... Did I faint?”
Dagger Girl nodded cutely and said, “That’s right, Brother Su Yang. Sister Little Deeny was very anxious, but she can’t come out of the virtual space, so she can only ask me, Brother Sanque and Sister Spirit Building to come out and watch over you.
“Brother Sanque said that there’s nothing wrong with you after checking. Sister Spirit Building said that you had consumed too much spiritual energy on the other hand, so you will be fine after some rest. After that, they left, leaving me to take care of you.”
Su Yang listened to Dagger Girl’s explanation and roughly understood the whole story.
Hence, he patted Dagger Girl’s cute little head and said, “Thank you, Sister Dagger Girl. I’m fine now, you go ahead and play.”
Dagger Girl blinked her cute eyes and looked at Su Yang curiously. “Are you really alright?”
Su Yang smiled at her. “Yes, I am.”
Dagger Girl was indeed a little girl. When she heard Su Yang’s words, she nodded in agreement. “Alright, Brother Su Yang. I’ll go play then.”.
With that, there was a flash of green light and Dagger Girl returned to the virtual space.
After Dagger Girl left, Su Yang rubbed his head and stared blankly at the empty room.
The reason why he had this expression was not because he had suffered from amnesia, but... He realized that something was amiss before his eyes. ‘I can see little “worms” before my eyes...’
In his line of sight, he seemed to see something that looked like a threadworm floating in the originally clean air.
This scenario was similar to a person who had looked up at the sky under the sun.
Then, Su Yang recalled an explanation that he had read before. ‘This phenomenon seems to be commonly known as “Floaters” in the medical field because of the turbidity of the vitreous in the human eye.
‘However, I’m certain that there’s nothing wrong with my eyes. Ever since I obtained the [Space Traversing Eyes], my eyes have been extremely bright and clear, so it’s impossible for them to be muddy!
‘Furthermore, it seems that even though the “little worms” before me can’t move, it’s actually glowing?
‘There’s a faint golden light?
‘What’s this...?
‘Has my head broke from the explosion?’
At that thought, Su Yang called Little Deeny. “Little Deeny, are you there?”
Little Deeny’s voice sounded beside Su Yang’s ear. “Yes, Master, I’m here.”
Su Yang asked, “Can you see the little worms flying around in the room?”
Little Deeny hesitated before saying, “Worms? No, I don’t see any worms.”
Hence, Su Yang was confused.
‘Little Deeny can’t see it?
‘What’s going on?’
Just as Su Yang was hesitating, Spirit Building’s voice suddenly rang in his ears. “You can see that thing in front of you?”
Su Yang asked, “You can see it too?”
Spirit Building said, “Yes, I can. Come into the virtual space.”
Hence, Su Yang entered the virtual space without hesitation.
When he arrived at the virtual space, Little Deeny and Spirit Building were sitting on the top floor drinking fruit tea. Su Yang then raised his head to look at them, only to realize that the virtual space was filled with these worms as well. Hence, he could not help but ask, “What’s going on?”
Spirit Building took a sip of tea and pursed her lips. She said weakly, “Actually, I only discovered this recently.”
Su Yang looked at her. “You didn’t notice it before?”
Spirit Building nodded. “It didn’t appear previously.”
She raised her head to look at the clear sky, and her old face looked like she was trying to remember something. “I seem to remember that this started after the Earth flashed.
“At the time, I did not see anything like this outside, but after the Earth flashed, I saw something like this appear in the virtual space.
“It doesn’t seem like it’s born out of thin air, but it’s something that’s coming out from the virtual world.
“I remember you once saw that every flower, every blade of grass and even the bricks in the virtual space had spiritual energy veins running through them. Those things seemed to come from the spiritual energy veins.
“After that, I observed it carefully and also found this in some places in the real world, but it’s always in places with you or little monsters around.
“So, I’m guessing that it’s coming from you and the little monsters.”
Su Yang went along with Spirit Building’s words and thought for a while. Then, he frowned and asked, “So, you think this thing is spiritual energy, is that right?”
Spirit Building nodded silently, but then shook her head instead. “Or rather, it’s a form of spiritual energy. It might be the spiritual energy seed we were talking about earlier, or it might be life energy. I’m not sure what it is exactly.”
Su Yang asked, “Then why couldn’t I see it before now?”
Spirit Building poured a cup of tea into her teacup and asked, “Don’t you feel any difference within yourself right now?”
‘A difference?’
Su Yang hesitated slightly, not knowing what Spirit Building was referring to.
