Chapter 700: I Don’t Want To Work Hard Anymore
Su Yang replied calmly, “He lost his house.”
Liu Dabai was like a support now as he asked in surprise, “Just because of playing games?”
Su Yang nodded.
After that, Su Yang did not say anything. Instead, he went back to control Lao Fu Zi to participate in a team battle and secured a triple kill once again, giving off a splendid performance.
However, it was a pity that his actions did not attract the attention of Liu Dabai and his fans. Instead, everyone was still waiting for Su Yang to continue his sentence.
Liu Dabai kept on asking, “Why has he lost his house because of gaming?”
Su Yang was expressionless as he said in a flat tone, “He ended up paying too much money in the games he played. Then, his wife found out about it, they had a falling out which ended up in a divorce.”
Liu Dabai questioned, “But, that would have nothing to do with the house, would it? Even if he gets a divorce, he should be able to get at least half of it.”
Su Yang replied calmly, “The house was his wife’s property before they got married. Plus, he was married into her family, so he had to serve his wife everyday. Before he got married, he told me that he didn’t want to work hard anymore.”
Liu Dabai and the fans were rendered speechless once again.
After a while, a bunch of “666” appeared in the bullet comments section. ‘His wife must be 60 years old and is extremely wealthy.’ ‘I’ve seen this storyline before. Later, he and his tens of thousands of lackeys will regain possession of their lair with a wave of his arm!’
Liu Dabai could not help but smile bitterly because he was completely defeated by Su Yang’s joke.
In fact, there was an indescribable feeling welling up within Liu Dabai. He felt like he was experiencing his biggest crisis since he began his career. ‘This passerby seems to be funnier than I am! He’s practically telling a joke with a straight face! Would my fans be taken away by him?’
Of course, it was purely because Liu Dabai was too happy that such thoughts emerged. After all, during the period when Su Yang was cracking cold jokes, the gifts in Liu Dabai’s live-stream kept increasing.
On the bullet comments section, many fans requested that Su Yang be part of Liu Dabai’s team. There were even more fans who suggested that Liu Dabai should stop livestreaming and form a group with Su Yang to do standup comedy.
Based on this, one could tell how good Su Yang and Liu Dabai’s live-stream was.
On the other hand, Liu Dabai did not forget his promise with Su Yang, whereby Su Yang would put on a serious face when he was telling jokes, while Liu Dabai would improve his social standing and preach public welfare. Therefore, after Su Yang finished his jokes, Liu Dabai started to talk about rational spending, hoping that the gamers would not be cheated by the game developers and that they would only make payments to the game based on their financial situation.
Soon, the two hours were over and Su Yang looked at the number of coins in his system. ‘110,000 coins... I’ve actually affected over 50,000 people in just two hours!’
Su Yang pondered for a while. ‘I might have been doing many things wrong in the past. People nowadays have received higher education, so they aren’t stupid. However, It’s the social environment that’s making people more inclined to avoid matters and feign ignorance.
‘Therefore, when a principle is placed before them, they actually understand it, but they just choose not to listen and act on it.
‘Especially for those who are already living hectic lives... They’re already tired most of the time, so they aren’t willing to listen to others preaching at them in the slightest.
‘Therefore, if I want to influence others, I’ve got to do it in a gentler and more entertaining manner such as cracking jokes, scripts and entertainment filled with positive energy. By doing so, they’d very naturally accept it.
This was the exact same concept as how I would sometimes remember my parents and call them to ask how they’re doing after watching some funny skits related to family love.’
After that, Su Yang bade farewell to Liu Dabai and the fans in the livestream before leaving the team.
At that point, he was only about 10,000 coins away. Even though the increase would be slower after the livestream, there should still be a small explosive period. Hence, it should not be a problem for Su Yang to earn another few thousand or even 10,000 coins over the next few days. Therefore, Su Yang had already achieved his goal for this livestream, so there was no need for him to continue anymore.
Thus, Su Yang turned off his phone and relaxed his fingers. Then, he called Little Deeny over and asked her about the rocket launcher with the intention of making some preparations beforehand.
In fact, Little Deeny had been busy for the past two days as well. She had already prepared a detailed plan for the rocket launch. Hence, when Su Yang came to look for her, she immediately passed the proposal to him.
Su Yang took the proposal and started reading.
The plan was actually very simple. Apart from the time, location and number of satellites, there were also plans for retrieving, connecting to the servers and so on.
Other than that, the thing that caught Su Yang’s attention the most was that there was a proposal about elusiveness.
After all, the commotions that would be caused by the launching of a rocket was very powerful. Even though all countries had now allowed people to launch rockets, they would still need all the relevant qualifications, which... Su Yang obviously did not have.
In fact, even if Su Yang were to get working on it by that time, it was highly likely that it was going to take quite a while.
After all, Su Yang was a Chinese, not an American. However, Socot Island was American property. Hence, if Su Yang wanted a legitimate rocket launch, he would have to apply to the United States, which would be as difficult as ascending to heaven.
When he saw this, Su Yang hesitated. ‘I don’t want to go up against a country when I’m still weak, especially when this country is a global overlord.
‘What should I do then?
‘Am I supposed to put the plan on hold? Just like that?
‘It seems that Little Deeny doesn’t have a suitable solution for this problem yet.’
Instantly, the room fell silent and the both of them lowered their heads to think of a solution.
As time ticked by... Just as Little Deeny was about to play a game on the Internet, Su Yang’s eyes lit up and he looked up, saying to Little Deeny excitedly, “I’ve got it! Little Deeny! I’ve found a way!
“I remember that the gang that offended us is mainly involved in firearms. I believe that the military and some American higher-ups must be involved somehow so that they’re able to do this kind of business. If we go through them, would we be able to obtain the approval required in a short time, or even cover up the entire matter completely?”
Little Deeny pondered for a moment as data flashed across her eyes. After a while, her eyes returned to normal and she said to Su Yang, “Master, I’ve done some calculations. The plan isn’t perfect and there are many variables. But...”
Su Yang looked at her expectantly.
Little Deeny smiled and said, “But, it’s much safer and more secretive than us launching the rockets directly. I’ve deduced that it would be best if we can receive the approval required. If we can’t get it, we could coax the gang and minimize the impact.
“Even if we still can’t resolve this matter after using our connections with them and coaxing them, we could still make them be our scapegoat.”
After getting Little Deeny’s reassurance, Su Yang clapped his hands excitedly. “Alright then! Contact Janet and the rest quickly and tell them that there have been some changes to the plan!”
Little Deeny hurriedly said, “Yes, Master.”
While Su Yang and Little Deeny were discussing...
At the same time, a man and a woman were strolling down a dark street in Hawaii.
The man had an Asian face, wearing a black windbreaker and carried a black leather suitcase with him. His hair was slightly curled and it fell to the sides of his face like instant noodles. Apart from that, he was thin and had no flesh at all. There were heavy dark circles under his eyes and he looked like he was about to die.
If anyone had not known him before, they would have thought that he was a drug addict.
The woman, on the other hand, was the complete opposite. Her body was slender with a pair of green eyes and well-defined facial features. No matter how one looked, they would think that she was a beauty.
Walking in the dark street like this was obviously very eye-catching, so not long after, a group of dark-skinned men came out from the corner and surrounded the two.
After surrounding the two of them, the leader of the gang stepped forward and said casually, “Hey, man, is there anything you can lend us?”
Although it was stated to be a loan, it was actually a robbery.
Therefore, before they could do anything, the thin man took out a silenced pistol from his pocket and pointed it at the leader and said with a chuckle. “How about I lend you a bullet?”
These men had always been bullying anyone weaker than them, but frightened of anyone stronger than themselves. Hence, when they saw that the man had already pulled out his gun, they immediately ran away in fear, faster than when they had shown up. All that was left was the leader of the group who was now slowly raising his hands in fear as his legs shivered.
The eyes under the thin man’s dark circles shone with evilness. He looked at the escaping men, then at the leader who raised his hand. After a while, he smiled, tilted his head and squeezed out a sentence from his throat. “Scram.”
The leader nodded and turned to run.
Right at that moment, there was a soft “Bang”, blood spurted out from the back of his head. Then he took two steps forward, fell down onto the ground with a “Thud” and died.
The beautiful “woman” turned to look at the thin man and said coldly, “You’ve just killed the innocent.”
The man chuckled and picked up his gun. “He didn’t say thank you.”
The woman did not argue, which made it seem like this was a normal thing. In fact, it did not affect their footsteps at all as they walked past the dead man’s body and continued towards their target.
These two were the subordinates that Su Yang had sent out for half a month, Janet and the Clown Sea Serpent.
Ever since the two of them received Su Yang’s orders, they started their journey of massacre all the way from Honolulu to Cona.
Wherever they went, the strongholds of King Latin were destroyed one by one and not a single gang member was left behind.
There was no way such a large-scale revenge operation could be hidden from those who looked into the matter. Gradually, the whole of Hawaii knew that there was a man and a woman chasing after the members of King Latin.
Furthermore, these two were like 007 or Agents from the movies, silent and deadly. As long as they attacked, no one would be able to walk out alive with no exceptions.
Of course, the people working on the case had been alerted long ago. However, the strange thing was that they could not find the whereabouts of these two people at all. What made it even stranger was that even on the surveillance cameras, these two people’s tracks were completely untraceable.
As he went back to the clues, the officer realized that even rumors about the man and woman were all spreaded by passersby who just so happened to have seen them entering pubs.
‘I’m not even sure if these two are the murderers...’
Therefore, the officer was confused and had no angle to investigate this case at all.
Actually, the police could not be blamed since they were dealing with two non-human beings.
Janet could transform into his water form, so he could move around unnoticed. The Clown Sea Serpent, on the other hand, had the ability to alter his own bones and body. In addition, he now had [Shape Shifting Liquid Metal], which allowed him to completely transform himself into anything else. Thus, it was too difficult to track them just based on clues.
As a result, neither King Latin nor the officer could stop their attacks.
On top of this, there was the occasional cooperation from Little Deeny, who would provide them with some information, hence the two of them were almost done with completely purging King Latin.
On that day, they were going to King Latin’s lair, which was their last target, a farm in Cona.
According to the information they obtained after breaking through the previous stronghold, King Latin had been gathering all their men from other cities to this stronghold so that they would not be separated from each other.
Hence, the Clown Sea Serpent laughed when he heard the news. ‘They’re literally like an army of ants gathering around, preparing to go up against... Gundam. These people have no idea who they’re dealing with.’
Just then, the glass phone in the Clown Sea Serpent’s trench coat pocket rang...
