Chapter 812 - Is It Raining Pies?
When Su Yang received Huang Zheng’s call, he was playing his battle royale game, and was still running around everywhere in the game. However, Su Yang felt that this game seemed to be poisonous. He realized that after the early stages, the difficulty of this game had increased exponentially.
Originally, he could have killed ten people in one round, but now, he could only kill one or two people instead. Originally, he could come out placing first in ten rounds, but now, he... had not won for two days.
Su Yang suspected that the game was plotting against him because the people that he was matched with at that moment were definitely experts. Otherwise, his battle record would not be that bad. After all, he was someone who could have killed many people in his previous games. ‘Those enemies at the start could not have been bots posing as players, right?’
Just as Su Yang was doubting his life, his phone rang. Su Yang called out to Little Deeny weakly, “Little Deeny, who’s that?”
In less than a second, Little Deeny replied, “Master, it’s Huang Zheng.”
‘Huang Zheng’s calling me again?’
Su Yang had a weird expression on his face.
‘He’s been contacting me quite frequently these few days. Coupled with his recent attitude towards me... Could this guy have grown bored with women and is now interested in men?
‘No, no, no... Even if that’s true, I should be the one playing with him. After all, I’m his superior.
At the thought of this, Su Yang hurriedly wiped off those thoughts. ‘Why should I have to play with him? Isn’t Chu Xia enough already?’
Su Yang picked up the phone while his mind was wandering.
When the call connected, Huang Zheng’s elated voice came from the other end of the line. “Mr. Su, you’ve definitely got to praise me this time.”
Huang Zheng’s words left Su Yang dumbfounded.
‘Praise him?
‘What for?
‘Has Juduoduo surpassed Taobao?’
Huang Zheng did not let Su Yang make wild guesses. After he finished, he explained, “Mr. Su, I’ve already bought the Zhongan Automobile as per your instructions.”
Su Yang was dumbfounded.
‘He’s bought Zhongan Automobile?
‘Why?
‘Hang on, when did I tell him to buy a Zhongan Automobile? Am I facing memory loss recently?
‘But, this still doesn’t make sense. Even if I have lost my memories, I still wouldn’t buy Zhongan Automobile. Just look at the losses suffered by local automobile companies, I would be crazy to want to buy them.
Have I said something that cause Huang Zheng to be misunderstood?
Su Yang probed, “Old Huang, why did you buy Zhongan Automobile?”
Su Yang’s question did not make Huang Zheng suspect that he was overthinking since he had already been Deenynized. Instead, he merely thought that... Su Yang was testing him.
He thought that Su Yang was giving him something like an exam. Not only did he have to write down the answers to the questions, he also had to write down the process of solving them. ‘Su Yang’s obviously testing how well I understand his thoughts!’
Huang Zheng said without hesitation, “Mr. Su, a few days ago, when I asked if you needed me to do anything, you said the word ‘car’ to me.
“At the time, I was thinking that with your identity, it was impossible for you to ask me for a car. After all, you have more money than me, and you can buy whatever car you like. So, I made a bold guess that you were hinting at something related to a car.”
Su Yang was stunned.
‘Did I say the word “car”?
‘I don’t remember it at all to be honest.’
He carefully recalled the conversation he had with Huang Zheng the last time. He only remembered that he seemed to be playing his game. On one side of his ear was Huang Zheng and him talking, and on the other side were the roars of his gaming teammates. Therefore, he had forgotten what he had said...
‘I feel like I should use the [Memory Labyrinth Hourglass] to check my memories and see if I actually said that word.
‘I shouldn’t be at the age where I’m forgetting things.
‘Furthermore, I only said the word ‘car’, and Huang Zheng already imagined so many things. That’s just too scary, isn’t it?’
Just as he was complaining in his heart, Huang Zheng continued, “Then, I thought that you gave me too little to work on with only the word ‘car’. On top of that, with a person of few words as you are, Su Yang, it’s impossible for you not to give me more clues and information. So, I made a bold guess that all the clues you’ve given me are hidden somewhere else.
“So, I started to figure out what you meant.
“After I asked that question, it’s true that that was the only thing you said. However, you said a lot before that. Since we were talking about Wang Jiang before, could you have been hinting that this ‘car’ is related to Wang Jiang?”
When Su Yang heard that, he was already clapping in his heart. ‘Wow, this imaginative power of yours is superb. However, the connection between ‘Wang Jiang’ and ‘car’ would indeed only link to Zhongan Automobile. After all, Wang Jiang only has this company which is an automobile industry. Well then, I guess I finally understand the logic behind Huang Zheng’s acquisition of Zhongan Automobile.’
After that, Huang Zheng told Su Yang about how he contacted the general manager of Zhongan Automobile, how he persuaded the other party, and how he went to look for the relevant departments to promote the contract.
After listening to Huang Zheng’s explanation, Su Yang was simply amazed by him. ‘He could actually interpret so many details with just one word from me and come up with such a detailed plan, even turning it into reality!
‘Huang Zheng is indeed a five-star genius.
‘However, it’s still a fact that he’s over-interpreted. Huang Zheng really has come up with all this based on his own imagination. I really am not interested in the domestic automobile industry.’
Therefore, after some consideration, he said, “Mr. Huang, I think your ideas are very good, but...”
Before Su Yang could finish his sentence, Huang Zheng seemed to have already ‘guessed’ Su Yang’s intention. He said directly, “Mr. Su, I understand what you mean. You must be worried that the price I’m negotiating is not appropriate, right?”
Su Yang was confused.
‘What?
‘I’m not thinking about that.
‘Regardless of the price, I don’t want to take over a car company that has got no potential, possibly even a losing business...’
Then... He heard Huang Zheng say, “But, you can rest assured that I have already guessed your thoughts.”
In fact, there was pride in his voice. “When I was negotiating with Zhongan Automobile, I thought that if you wanted to acquire them, you could have done so directly and there was no need to do so now. After all, Wang Jiang is currently under investigation, so this is not a good time.
“But, I immediately understood what you meant after that. During this time, Zhongan Automobile has no backer, no background, and it’s very likely to be investigated by the investigation team. So, its value has already dropped drastically, so you’re trying to take advantage of the situation!
“Therefore, I directly negotiated with them and made them understand their current situation. Then, I gave them some pointers and then acquired them at a very low price.
Although Su Yang was not interested in the company, he was still curious. “Low price? How low?”
Huang Zheng smiled and said proudly, “Two billion yuan. I only used two billion yuan to acquire Zhongan Automobile!”
Su Yang was shocked when he heard Huang Zheng’s words. “Two billion yuan?!”
Actually after checking Wang Jiang and his son’s memories, he had a good understanding of Zhongan Automobile.
As the only automobile manufacturing company under the Gold Bull Group, Zhongan Automobile was formed from the Gold Bull Group’s resources over the past decade.
The Wangs had put in a lot of effort into this. Putting everything else aside, Wang Jiang had used his identity to pave the way for Zhongan Automobile and built more than twenty large car factories across the country. That alone was worth several billion yuan.
Coupled with Wang Jiang’s use of his authority, he approved a piece of land called Zhongan Town, which was 6,000 acre worth of residential area, automobile academy district, driverless car experience area, automobile culture tourist area, high-end residential area, and the town’s expansion area. It was a new type of town that combined production, life, and ecology.
Together with the land and the initial investment, this project was also worth billions of yuans.
Just these two projects alone had a fixed asset of 7-8 billion yuan. Yet, Huang Zheng only used 2 billion yuan to get hold of the car.
This meant that as long as Su Yang took over the business, he would be able to earn four to five billion yuan without doing anything.
‘This isn’t money falling out of the sky, but money falling and burying someone.’
At that moment, Su Yang felt really good...
With that thought in mind, Su Yang could not find a reason to reject the acquisition of Zhongan Automobile. Hence, he coughed and said calmly, “Yes, thank you for your hard work, Mr. Huang. You’ve understood what I meant very well.”
Although Su Yang was very satisfied, he felt that Huang Zheng might not be worthy of his evaluation as a future internet giant if he only did that. When he saw that Su Yang was satisfied with what he did, he smiled again and said, “Mr. Su, I haven’t only done just that, there are others as well.”
Su Yang hesitated when he heard Huang Zheng’s words. ‘Huang Zheng seems to have done a lot of things. I can’t even begin to imagine what he’s done.’
So he asked, “Oh? What else did you do?”
Huang Zheng said calmly, “I’ve talked to a few banks in Hangzhou. They’re willing to use your shares in Juduoduo as collateral for a loan of two billion yuan so that we can welcome the acquisition of Zhongan Automobile.”
Su Yang frowned.
‘This doesn’t seem like a good thing.
‘Putting aside the fact that I already have two billion yuan, I’ve always hated to use my company’s shares as collateral.
‘I’ve heard too many stories about losing control of the company because of doing this.’
However, what Huang Zheng said next made Su Yang understand why Huang Zheng was so pleased with himself.
Huang Zheng said, “Moreover, those banks have agreed that after acquiring Zhongan Automobile, they will change the mortgage and use the development rights of Zhongan Town as a loan of 2 billion yuan. Then, they will use the profits of Zhongan Automobile to repay their interest.
“In other words, this agreement is actually a three-way agreement. We will use Juduoduo’s shares as the initial collateral. After the loan is paid, we will purchase Zhongan Automobile, and then we will use the Zhongan Automobile to exchange the collateral and repay the debt.
“This way, whether it’s now or in the future, we don’t need to spend a single cent, nor do we need to mortgage anything. We can get the Zhongan Automobile. It’s like gaining something without risking anything.
“In fact, if we want to, we can sell the development collateral to the bank to repay the loan. In other words, we can get the entirety of the cars other than the town.”
Su Yang was stunned after hearing what Huang Zheng said.
‘This series of capital operations is just dazzling and unbelievable.
‘Have I just obtained an automobile company worth tens of billions of yuan, just like that?’
For a moment, Su Yang suspected that he was dreaming. ‘This is no longer a case of money dropping from the sky to bury me, is it? This is literally a bank dropping from the sky.’ Although Su Yang had thought that Huang Zheng had given him a surprise earlier, looking at it now, this surprise was really too big in his opinion!
In the following week, with Huang Zheng’s perfect plan, Su Yang only stamped a few stamps and met a few people from the banks. Then, he successfully bought Zhongan Automobile with 2 billion yuan. Then, he mortgaged Zhongan Town to the bank and took back Juduoduo’s shares.
Everything went smoothly like a dream. Even Su Yang felt like he was in a dream. He looked at Huang Zheng, who was beside him with a confident smile on his face. He felt a little emotional. Where else could he find such a subordinate? He only mentioned a car and he got a car company worth tens of billion yuans. If he said that he liked McDonald’s tomorrow, would he become the general manager of this global chain of catering companies in less than a month?
Su Yang felt that he had to be careful with his words and actions in the future. Otherwise, there might be a day when his company would be spread all over China.
However, Huang Zheng gave him such a huge benefit out of nowhere. Su Yang was very satisfied with him.
“Now that you’ve become a superior, you’ve been trained for a long time. You know that you have to be rewarded for your service. So...” he said as he patted Huang Zheng’s shoulder. “I’m very satisfied with what you’ve done. If you have anything you want, feel free to tell me.”
As he said that, he added without a hint of embarrassment, “Indeed, you know me best.”
Hearing Su Yang’s praise, Huang Zheng was filled with pride. He felt that it was fortunate that he had thought that much, because if he had not done that, he might have lost his chance to become Su Yang’s confidant. Now, through Su Yang’s words and attitude that day, Huang Zheng believed that he had successfully entered Su Yang’s radar. With Su Yang’s satisfaction towards him, it was only a matter of time before he became Su Yang’s confidant.
However, at the thought of this, he felt a chill down his spine. ‘Su Yang patted my shoulder just now and then said that to me... Could there be some deeper meaning behind it?’
