"Holy shit!"
Qin Haonan yelled, shooting back more than three meters and slamming right into the sofa.
Seeing Qin Haonan’s reaction, everyone simultaneously looked toward the door.
Illuminated by the indoor lights, the construction worker’s face was covered in a red liquid.
Everyone’s hearts skipped a beat.
"Sorry to bother you, everyone!" The worker wiped his face with a hand, looking apologetic.
Ren Yuanyang immediately stepped forward and asked with a frown, "What happened to you?"
The man’s voice was strong and resonant; he didn’t sound injured at all.
The worker quickly explained, "I’m not sure either. The rain just suddenly turned red. That’s what caused the commotion just now. Several workers have already fainted because they can’t stand the sight of blood!"
After hearing his explanation, Lu Jiamei immediately pulled out her phone. The regional channel was already in an uproar!
"What’s going on? Why is it suddenly raining blood?"
"I know, right? It’s so terrifying this late at night!"
"I just collected a little. It really seems like blood. It feels a bit viscous!"
"The guy who posted above is crazy! You can’t just collect that stuff. What if it contains some new virus? You’ll be the first one infected!"
"Have any of the major factions tested it yet? What’s the deal with this blood rain?"
"Damn, you think scientists are gods? This just started. How could they have results already? Testing takes time!"
Lu Jiamei quickly summarized the situation on the regional channel for Ren Yuanyang.
Ren Yuanyang immediately said to the worker, "You all need to go back right away. First, get yourselves cleaned up, then self-isolate in your rooms. Someone will be by later to give you a full check-up."
"Understood!" The worker immediately headed back, calling for the others to leave the area.
Just as Ren Yuanyang was about to contact Wang Jun, a video call came through from him.
He answered immediately, and Wang Jun appeared on the screen with two other people.
"Master!"
Ren Yuanyang nodded slightly and said, "I’ve already had the construction workers here go back to wash up and self-isolate. Arrange for medical staff to go and check on them."
"Understood!" Wang Jun responded.
"Have samples of the blood rain been taken for analysis?" Ren Yuanyang continued.
Wang Jun nodded. "I’ve already pressed the lab. We should have the results soon."
"Master, what on earth is happening?" Long Zhan couldn’t help but ask.
Ren Yuanyang shook his head. "I don’t know either. We’ll have to wait for the lab’s test results."
"We just moved to the Duckweed Continent. Is some new disaster about to strike?" Long Zhan’s brow furrowed. "We can’t catch a break!"
"We’ll face whatever comes our way," Ren Yuanyang said. "Right now, we can’t change the grand environment, so we can only adapt to it."
Long Zhan was taken aback for a moment, then nodded.
News from the laboratory came back quickly.
"The blood rain samples we analyzed are very similar to human blood. They contain inorganic salts, hormones, various proteins, nutrients, and so on. We haven’t found any pathogens or other substances harmful to the human body."
Hearing the report from the head of the lab, Zhao Jun, Ren Yuanyang asked, "So you’re saying this rain is not only harmless but actually very nutritious?"
Zhao Jun nodded. "Based on the current test results, that’s correct."
Ren Yuanyang pondered for a moment, then immediately released his Mental Energy to sense the Banyan Forest outside.
Sure enough, nourished by the blood rain, the Banyan Forest was growing faster than usual!
The Banyan Forest here at the Dragon Base was highly enhanced and grew very quickly, so the concentration of nutrients in the nearby sea had already become quite low.
This, in turn, limited the Banyan Forest’s rate of expansion.
Now, with the boost from this blood rain, the Banyan Forest could expand at full speed!
Ren Yuanyang spoke up. "With this nutrient-rich blood rain, the Banyan Forest can expand even faster."
The eyes of Wang Jun and the other two men suddenly lit up.
"So for us, this blood rain is actually a good thing?" Wang Jun asked uncertainly.
Ren Yuanyang frowned slightly. "There are two sides to every coin. Perhaps we just haven’t seen the other side of this one yet. Let’s just observe for now."
Wang Jun nodded.
Meanwhile, on the world channel, other fleets had already begun posting their own test results.
"The components of this blood rain are similar to human blood. No harmful substances or pathogens were found. No need to panic, everyone!"
"Is that true? Is your testing equipment reliable?"
"Believe it or not! This blood rain can be used as a nutrient solution for growing plants."
"For real? I’m still gonna wait for the announcement from the Dragon Base."
Seeing the discussion on the world channel, Wang Jun immediately replied, "Our test results are the same as that fleet’s. For now, it seems this blood rain actually has some benefits!"
"See! Our test results were correct! Even the Dragon Base backed us up!"
"This blood rain looked so creepy, but it turns out to be a good thing!"
"There’s an old saying in the Dragon Country: you can’t judge a book by its cover!"
"So, does that mean I can collect some, boil it, and drink it?"
"Totally!"
The initial fear of the blood rain vanished, and all the survivors began to relax.
The Dragon Base also issued an internal announcement, telling its members not to panic.
Wang Jun gave Ren Yuanyang a brief report on the Dragon Base’s operations.
After listening intently, Ren Yuanyang replied, "From now on, you don’t need to report all of the Dragon Base’s routine affairs to me. Only come to me if something unusual happens."
"Yes, Master!" Wang Jun nodded in acknowledgment.
"If there’s nothing else, that will be all," Ren Yuanyang said, preparing to end the video call.
