After leaving the Dawn Base, Qin Haonan made a point to patrol the area around his route on the way back. He didn’t find any sign of the Xi’an Base speedboat he had encountered last time.
’I wonder where the Xi’an Base team went to search!’ Qin Haonan frowned slightly.
Recently, the Dawn Base had also sent patrol teams into the Seventh-level Wind Sea Region. While they couldn’t completely lock down the area, it was enough to make the Xi’an Base teams hesitant to show their faces.
On top of that, the undercurrents, the sudden appearance of system prompts, the movements of the Aircraft Carrier Base, and the rampaging sea creatures all diverted the Xi’an Base’s attention, significantly slowing their search progress.
Qin Haonan didn’t dwell on it for long and raced back toward the Peach Blossom Base in his speedboat.
Meanwhile, a sense of wonder filled the cultivation pods at the Dawn Base.
"I can’t believe it. It hasn’t even been two days, and the crops are already ripe!"
"And I checked—the yield is much higher than that of ordinary crops!"
"I have no idea how the Peach Blossom Base managed to develop such advanced crops!"
"Alright, that’s enough discussion. Let’s get people organized for the harvest. I’m going to report to the captain."
When Long Zhan and Ji Yizhi received the news, they rushed to the cultivation pods immediately.
Staring at the heavy heads of grain hanging low, Ji Yizhi remarked with emotion, "We’re really never going to be short on food again!"
Long Zhan nodded excitedly. "You’re right. Master is incredible! He can even create crops like these!"
"Let’s video call Old Wang! The seeds we sent to the Aircraft Carrier Base should have arrived by now. Let’s give him a preview!" Ji Yizhi said with a smile.
Long Zhan immediately started the call. Wang Jun answered instantly, asking, "What’s wrong? Is there a problem at the Dawn Base?"
"Yes! A big problem!" Long Zhan immediately replied.
Wang Jun grew a little tense. "What kind of problem? Did sea creatures attack the Dawn Base?"
Long Zhan laughed. "Don’t worry, it’s not sea creatures. It’s our crops!"
He switched the camera view, pointing it at the ripe stalks of grain.
"Are these the crops you planted the day before yesterday?" Wang Jun’s eyes widened.
"That’s right!" Long Zhan nodded. "This is the very reason our Master is so confident!"
"No wonder Master said we wouldn’t be short on food," Wang Jun said excitedly. "With this growth rate and yield, as long as we have enough Enhancement Seeds, we could feed the whole world!"
"It seems like enhancing these seeds isn’t particularly difficult, either," Ji Yizhi speculated.
Wang Jun nodded. "After they decided to provide us with Enhancement Seeds, the Peach Blossom Base sent over this many in just one day. It probably isn’t that difficult for them."
"Of course it’s not difficult. Master said from the very beginning that food wasn’t an issue. Are you still doubting his words?" Long Zhan retorted with a smile.
"It’s just hard to believe, is all," Ji Yizhi said with a sigh. "After all, our two bases have a combined population of over one hundred thousand people. The daily food consumption is no small number!"
"Indeed. Now we can finally relax," Wang Jun said, his expression completely at ease. "Next, we should consider developing agriculture-related industries! We need to make full use of all that straw!"
"True. We can finally improve the diet for the pigs, cattle, and sheep we’re raising!" Long Zhan nodded in agreement.
Ji Yizhi thought for a moment before speaking up. "Now that we have a foundation in agriculture, I think we should establish our own economic system. At the very least, we need to introduce a currency system."
"That’s right, bartering is always a bit of a hassle," Wang Jun responded. "I’ll have the economists on the base start looking into it."
"Hold on, shouldn’t you talk to Master first?" Long Zhan immediately suggested. "Even if we’re going to create an economic system, shouldn’t we unify it with the Peach Blossom Base? If we both have different systems, it’ll make interactions more complicated. Are we going to need an exchange rate between us and the Peach Blossom Base?"
Wang Jun and Ji Yizhi were slightly stunned, then nodded in unison.
"I’ll contact Master right now and ask about the situation at the Peach Blossom Base." With that, Wang Jun immediately sent a message to Ren Yuanyang about the matter.
Ren Yuanyang was slightly taken aback when he saw the message, then replied with a smile, "Our base has actually been researching a unified currency as well. We’re currently considering developing a mobile app, since that would be more convenient. After all, we don’t have the means to print physical currency right now."
"Mm, using only virtual currency is definitely the most suitable option for our current situation," Wang Jun nodded. "So, has a name for this virtual currency been decided?"
"We’re the Peach Blossom Base, so naturally, the currency will be the Peach Blossom Coin," Ren Yuanyang replied with a smile.
"Alright. We’ll use the Peach Blossom Coin, too. We can issue it uniformly and co-develop the app." Wang Jun made the decision without hesitation.
"That’s wonderful. In the future, members from all three of our bases will be able to trade with one another, removing all barriers!" Ren Yuanyang replied with a smile. "I’ll have our developers get in touch with you."
"Sounds good!"
After ending the call, Ren Yuanyang immediately called for Aiti.
"Leader, you were looking for me?" Aiti asked respectfully.
Ren Yuanyang nodded slightly. "The Aircraft Carrier Base and the Dawn Base also want to develop a trading app. They want to use the same system as us. I want you to contact Captain Wang first and coordinate with their developers."
Aiti was stunned for a second, then immediately nodded. "Right, I’m on it!"
At the same time, Wang Jun also gathered the relevant personnel and issued the same directive.
