"Don’t you have any common sense? Mutated phones can only be operated by their owners. It’s impossible for someone to check in and post on another person’s behalf. Even if they were forced to do it, that would at least prove the owner is still alive!"
"Exactly. And as for one person posting twice, that’s even easier to manage. Don’t you know this unknown app lets you control how many times members can post in a group?"
"Some people just love to show off the depths of their stupidity in public. They don’t know what they’re talking about, yet they still run their mouths!"
"Can you guys stop arguing? Captain Nelson, could you come out and explain what a ’perfect Evolution Potion’ is?"
Nelson appeared at just the right moment to explain, "Just as you’ve all been discussing, a perfect Evolution Potion is one with a one hundred percent success rate. No one will die from failure anymore!"
"A one hundred percent success rate, for real! The Aircraft Carrier Base is just too powerful!"
"Wait, how do you know the success rate is one hundred percent? Is this just propaganda from the Aircraft Carrier Base?"
"That’s right. The Aircraft Carrier Base must be exaggerating its effects!"
Nelson immediately followed up, "We purchased a batch of Evolution Potions. After they were administered, all test subjects successfully became Evolvers. Not a single person experienced any discomfort or adverse symptoms!"
"The Aircraft Carrier Base is actually selling Evolution Potions to outsiders?"
"I doubt it. Any base with Evolution Potions would prioritize them for their own people. Only an idiot would sell them to outsiders!"
"Other countries wouldn’t, that’s true, but Dragon Country is a different story. Have you forgotten that Dragon Country is the ultimate price killer? Once they master something and start mass-producing it, the cost drops through the floor!"
"That’s possible. If so, our fleet needs to consider sending a trade delegation to the Aircraft Carrier Base!"
"Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. We should first communicate with Captain Wang of the Aircraft Carrier Base and find out what we can use to trade for the Evolution Potions! Otherwise, going there would be a complete waste of fuel!"
As the discussion reached this point, someone in the regional channel immediately pinged Wang Jun.
Wang Jun had, of course, seen the discussion. He replied with a smile, "Our Evolution Potions will indeed be for sale externally. You can all start preparing. For now, we’re accepting trades for plants and animals that our base doesn’t have. Before you head over, you can contact us in advance to confirm whether the plants and animals you possess are eligible for trade!"
"That’s great! Our fleet rescued an entire wildlife park during the flood. We definitely have animals we can trade for Evolution Potions!"
"I’m sure any reasonably large fleet would have preserved plenty of plant seeds. Doesn’t that mean every fleet will be able to trade for Evolution Potions?"
"You’re thinking too simply. The Aircraft Carrier Base is Dragon Country’s largest survivor base; they’ve preserved tons of seeds too. You have to offer something they don’t already have!"
"And not just that. You haven’t forgotten the International Seed Bank is in River Bird Country, have you?"
"I get it now. River Bird Country must have sold the International Seed Bank to the Aircraft Carrier Base. That’s why the Aircraft Carrier Base sold them Evolution Potions! And why they let them join up—it must have been because of the International Seed Bank, too!"
"In that case, it’ll probably be impossible to find a plant species the Aircraft Carrier Base doesn’t have. Looks like our only hope is with animals! Good thing our fleet hasn’t butchered all of ours yet!"
"From the sounds of it, we need to make this trade as soon as possible. If another fleet trades with them first, the Aircraft Carrier Base will have a new animal species. If that species is one our fleet has, we won’t be able to make a deal!"
"Good point! I’ll contact the Aircraft Carrier Base right away!"
While everyone was discussing how to trade with the Aircraft Carrier Base, inside the Xi’an Base, Bao Mu called a meeting with all his top brass.
"You’ve all seen what’s happening on the regional channel, I assume?" Bao Mu said, his brow furrowed. "Let’s hear your thoughts."
"Sir, I believe this is nothing more than a Smoke Bomb from the Aircraft Carrier Base!" William, the head of the Xi’an Base’s research institute, said immediately. "Our life science technology is at least twenty years ahead of theirs. It’s impossible that they developed a potion to induce human evolution before us!"
"Exactly. We have so many branch labs providing more than enough data from human trials. We’re currently stuck at a 25% success rate, so how could they possibly have figured it out before us?"
"Even if they really did create a perfect Evolution Potion, it’s only because they plagiarized our future research!"
A murmur of agreement went through the room.
Bao Mu’s expression was grim. "Are you telling me someone traveled from the future to bring the research findings to the Aircraft Carrier Base?"
Seeing Bao Mu’s dark expression, the man replied quietly, "Well, it’s not outside the realm of possibility!"
"How the fuck did I end up with a bunch of useless morons like you!" Bao Mu roared. "To say something so stupid, is your brain full of shit?"
Everyone immediately lowered their heads, not daring to speak while Bao Mu was fuming.
Bao Mu let out a long breath. "William, you’re in charge of this area. Tell me what you think we should do next."
William considered this for a moment before speaking. "We must get our hands on the Aircraft Carrier Base’s Evolution Potion. At the very least, we need to gauge the progress of their research. If it’s real, I’m confident we can replicate it as long as we get a sample. If it’s fake, we can ignore it and continue steadily with our own research."
Bao Mu nodded slightly. "Good. Arrange for someone to contact the Aircraft Carrier Base. See what it takes to buy their Evolution Potion."
