"So they’re banyan trees! No wonder they can connect into a single mass without being blown apart by the wind!"
"Can one of the smart kids explain what ’a single tree making a forest’ means?"
"It’s scary how uncultured some people are!"
"I’m just not familiar with plants. How does that make me uncultured?"
"Stop arguing, you guys. If you can really grow a forest on the water’s surface, that opens up a lot of possibilities!"
"Yeah, you could totally build houses on the tree trunks!"
"Wouldn’t the forest bob up and down with the wind and waves? Even if you built houses, they’d be unstable!"
"If it can really connect into a huge mass, it might be able to break the wind and calm the waves, kind of like how trees on land prevent wind erosion and stabilize the soil!"
"Is it really that amazing? I have to go see it for myself!"
For a time, many foreign fleets submitted visit requests to the Peach Blossom Base.
Following Ren Yuanyang’s instructions, Lu Jiamei arranged visiting times for each of them.
Meanwhile, aboard the Sea Eagle Country’s aircraft carrier, Mike nervously observed his surroundings. He was terrified that the Peach Blossom Base would launch a retaliatory strike against his fleet for exposing their location!
Just then, his aide raised a phone and said, "General, the Peach Blossom Base has openly admitted it. And they’re welcoming all fleets to come and visit!"
Mike was taken aback for a moment. "What do they mean by this?"
"They must not care at all about being exposed!" the aide analyzed. "They must have modified enough high-performance ships by now, so they aren’t afraid of any fleet attacking them!"
"So you’re saying we have no chance of defeating the Peach Blossom Base anymore?" Mike asked, his brow furrowed.
The aide nodded helplessly. "Truthfully, we lost our chance after that last defeat!"
Mike knew this, of course; he just wasn’t willing to admit it.
Now that his aide had laid it bare, Mike knew he couldn’t keep deceiving himself!
"You’re right," Mike sighed helplessly. "Bao Mu really screwed us. If I’d known, I never would have worked with him to attack the Peach Blossom Base! Now, even if we want to smooth things over, the Peach Blossom Base will probably just ignore us!"
"Given our current relationship with the Peach Blossom Base, we have two choices: either we completely submit and surrender, letting them decide our fate, or we gather all our forces for a final battle against them!" the aide replied.
"If we gather all our forces, can we really win a final battle?" Mike asked, lacking confidence.
"Just our three aircraft carrier fleets alone definitely won’t be enough. If we unite with other countries, we might still have a chance of winning now. The longer we wait, the lower our chances get!" the aide replied.
Mike frowned in thought for a moment before speaking. "I’ll contact the other countries’ fleets first!"
Clearly, he was not willing to submit to the Dragon Base!
The first one Mike contacted was the Lvzhi Fleet. The Lvzhi Country had once committed unforgivable crimes against the Dragon Country, and the relationship between them was completely irreconcilable.
If there was one fleet that would cooperate with him, it would have to be the Lvzhi Fleet!
"Deline, the Peach Blossom Base’s location has been confirmed. What are your thoughts?" Mike asked directly.
Deline was the supreme commander of the Lvzhi Fleet, with command over all its vessels.
"The Peach Blossom Base is protected by the Dragon Base right now. Even if I had some ideas, there’s no way to carry them out!" Deline’s tone was full of helplessness.
"You’re that scared of the Dragon Base?" Mike asked with a laugh.
"Their ships are incredibly fast and their defenses are very strong. It feels like they’ve improved in every aspect!" Deline replied with a frown.
Mike was slightly stunned. "You’ve fought them?"
He had always thought only they knew about the Dragon Base’s high-performance ships. He never expected the Lvzhi Fleet to know as well!
Deline nodded slightly. "After communicating with the Dragon Base, we pretended to have them deliver goods to us. We originally planned to hijack their delivery ship, but I never expected the three ships I sent to be completely wiped out. And their side was just a single cargo ship!"
It dawned on Mike. "I see! So, you don’t want revenge?"
Deline shook his head helplessly. "The Dragon Base has clearly had some sort of breakthrough in naval technology. We can’t beat them at all!"
"True, but if we just let the Dragon Base keep developing like this, they’ll have more and more high-performance ships. When that time comes, do you think you’ll be able to escape their reckoning?" Mike pressed.
Deline frowned and fell into deep thought, finally letting out a sigh. "You’re right, we won’t be able to escape it. But we can’t beat them now, either!"
"They may have had a breakthrough in naval technology, but it hasn’t been that long. They couldn’t have modified too many high-performance ships yet. We need to seize this moment, unite, and take down the Dragon Base—including the Peach Blossom Base. That way, we won’t have to worry about their future reckoning!" Mike analyzed.
Deline nodded slightly. "You’re right, General. Tell us what to do, and I’ll follow your lead!"
"I plan to unite with the other countries for a decisive battle against the Dragon Base! Once we take them down, all that advanced naval technology will be ours!" Mike continued.
"Alright!" Deline responded. "I’m in!"
Next, Mike roped in all the fleets that had previously offended the Dragon Country, basically using the reasoning that they would all eventually face the Dragon Country’s reckoning.
In the end, he contacted twenty fleets, preparing to unite them to take down the Dragon Base!
Mike started a group chat. He said in the chat, "Everyone, you need to get to the Dragon Base’s location as quickly as possible. I’m being tailed by Dragon Base speedboats over here, so I can’t rendezvous with you all immediately. Otherwise, the Dragon Base will be prepared!"
"Understood. We’ll head over first and wait for your signal!" Deline immediately agreed.
The others also expressed that they would head over first.
The Dragon Base sold a lot of supplies externally, so these fleets weren’t particularly far from it; after all, they needed to purchase supplies from the Dragon Base.
Every time they saw the large quantities of supplies on the Dragon Base’s merchant ships, they were green with envy. It was just that no single fleet dared to provoke the Dragon Base’s merchant ships on its own. But now that Mike had approached them about attacking the Dragon Base together, they agreed at once!
With so many fleets moving together, even if the Dragon Base had a few high-performance ships, they would never be able to stop their grand armada!
"According to our intel, all fleets can reach the designated assembly point by tomorrow night!" the aide said from the side. "Should we start moving in that direction as well?"
Mike nodded. "Mhm. First, send a few warships to shake off the flies on our tail, then we’ll circle around and head over."
"Yes, sir!"
From the Sea Eagle Country’s aircraft carrier fleet, several destroyers immediately peeled off, heading for the speedboats trailing them!
Once in range, they opened fire immediately!
These enhanced speedboats were fast and exceptionally agile, dodging all of their attacks!
Then they sped off into the distance. The destroyers couldn’t keep up with the speedboats at all, but they gave chase for a while before giving up.
As they turned back to rejoin the fleet, the speedboats started tailing them again.
"Fuck, we really can’t shake them!" Mike said with a frown.
"Why don’t we just let them follow? We shouldn’t rendezvous with the United Fleet for now," the aide suggested.
Mike felt a bit helpless but could only nod. "Let’s do that for now. Tell the United Fleet that we can’t rendezvous with them because we’re being tailed by Dragon Base speedboats. We’ll attack from a different direction; we just need to make sure we all strike at the same time!"
"Yes, sir!" the aide replied in a low voice.
When the aide explained the situation in the group chat, the other fleets had some objections.
Especially since during their previous cooperation with the Xi’an Base, Bao Mu had deceived them, having them tie down the Aircraft Carrier Base while he went to sneak-attack the Peach Blossom Base!
"General Mike, Lord Bao Mu played this game last time. It’s not funny to pull the same trick again!"
"Exactly! Are you having us tie down the Dragon Base while you go capture the Peach Blossom Base?"
"If that’s the case, this alliance might as well disband right now! I don’t want to be used as a pawn!"
Seeing the other commanders’ messages, Mike frowned slightly and immediately replied, "Everyone, rest assured. This is our only chance to defeat the Dragon Base. If we can’t work together, we’ll never get another opportunity!"
"That’s right, let’s stop being suspicious of each other!" Deline immediately chimed in.
"The main problem is that your credibility is shot! It forces us to doubt whether you really intend to attack the Dragon Base!"
"How about this: when we all attack tomorrow night, I’ll livestream the entire thing and share my position in real-time!" To convince everyone that he would attack alongside them this time, Mike had no choice but to make this promise.
