Although there was no concrete data on this, observations showed that mice with stronger original physiques became even more powerful after becoming Evolutionary Forms.
That was why Ren Yuanyang and his team hadn’t slacked off just because they had developed the Evolution Potion. They continued to follow their regular training regimen.
Two hours passed quickly, and Lin Mu and the other four woke up one by one.
’Thank goodness I woke up,’ Lin Mu thought. He had been genuinely worried he might never wake up again.
He could clearly feel his body heating up, as if something inside him was changing.
"You’re all awake. How do you feel?" Ren Yuanyang’s voice came from nearby.
Lin Mu immediately replied, "My whole body is warm, and I feel like it’s changing somehow!"
The others nodded in agreement.
"Alright, have some breakfast first," Ren Yuanyang said with a smile.
Breakfast was already on their nightstands. Lin Mu and the others were indeed feeling hungry, so they picked up their trays and wolfed down their meal.
"Leader, I still have some work I need to do..." Lin Mu said immediately after finishing his breakfast.
Ren Yuanyang waved his hand. "I’ve already assigned someone else to handle that. For now, just rest here until ten. If nothing unusual happens, you’ll be free to go."
Lin Mu was taken aback for a moment, then nodded. It was less than three hours away, so it wouldn’t cause too much of a delay.
Time passed slowly. Lin Mu and the others felt their five senses sharpening, and the world around them became incredibly clear.
"So this is what it feels like to be an Evolver?" Lin Mu was astounded.
Just as they were about to complete their evolution, Ren Yuanyang and his group arrived at the shipping container.
Lu Jiamei and Qin Haonan were on high alert, flanking Ren Yuanyang, ready to shield him from an attack at a moment’s notice.
Although Lin Mu’s group of five had only just become Evolvers and were still unfamiliar with their new powers, they were still worried that one of them might suddenly lash out and attack Ren Yuanyang.
In truth, their worries were unnecessary. Even if Lin Mu’s group had any treacherous thoughts, they wouldn’t dare act on them. After all, everyone knew Ren Yuanyang was a Wood-Type Evolver—and a very high-level one at that. As newly-minted Evolvers, how could they dare to challenge such a seasoned veteran?
Besides, the entire Peach Blossom Base had only developed to its current state because of Ren Yuanyang. Even if they somehow succeeded and seized control of the base, how would they manage its future development?
All the members of Peach Blossom Base knew that only seeds specially treated by Ren Yuanyang would have a shorter growth cycle and yield more fruit.
And as for capturing and controlling Ren Yuanyang, who would be confident enough to control an Evolver of a higher level?
At least for now, Lin Mu and the others had no thoughts of betrayal whatsoever. They just wanted to follow Ren Yuanyang and live well.
"Leader, time’s up. They should have successfully become Evolvers by now," Hua Lingfang said, glancing at the time on his phone.
Ren Yuanyang nodded slightly, walked right up to Lin Mu, and extended his hand with a smile. "Congratulations on successfully becoming an Evolver!"
Lin Mu froze for a second. ’Just like that, I’m an Evolver? It was that simple!’
But he quickly snapped out of it and hurriedly shook Ren Yuanyang’s hand. "Thank you, Leader, for giving me this opportunity!"
The moment their hands clasped, a system prompt sounded.
[Evolved Human Race (Lin Mu): Wood-Type Evolver, comprehensive physique enhancement...]
From the system’s notification, Ren Yuanyang could confirm that the Evolution Potion had no side effects.
The system would always notify him if any plant or animal he touched had any defects.
"Our base will only grow stronger as all of you do. Make sure to use your Wood-Type Superpower often. It will help increase your Mental Energy," Ren Yuanyang advised with a smile.
Lin Mu was taken aback again. ’I don’t think I told him what type of Evolver I am. How does the Leader know?’
’Maybe it’s because the Leader and I are the same type of Evolver,’ Lin Mu thought, quickly replying, "Yes, Leader! I’ll be sure to practice with my Wood-Type Superpower!"
Ren Yuanyang nodded slightly and walked over to Si Youqin, extending his hand. "Congratulations."
Si Youqin quickly shook it. "Thank you, Leader!"
[Evolved Human Race (Si Youqin): Earth-Type Evolver, comprehensive physique enhancement...]
"Even though we have very little soil right now, don’t stop practicing with your Earth-Type Superpower," Ren Yuanyang instructed her as well.
"Yes, Leader!" Si Youqin wasn’t surprised that Ren Yuanyang could identify her type; she took it for granted that he could.
Lin Mu, on the other hand, was stunned. ’So the Leader can identify everyone’s type!’
Ren Yuanyang shook hands with the remaining three, congratulating them one by one and learning their types in the process.
Wang Feng was a Wood-Type, Huo Wu was a Fire-Type, and Gu Xin was a Gold-Type.
Everyone was in perfect health, which proved the Evolution Potion they had formulated was indeed flawless.
Ren Yuanyang nodded in satisfaction. "It’s now confirmed. Our Evolution Potion is perfect. You won’t have any side effects, so just focus on increasing your Mental Energy and mastering control of your Superpowers."
Hearing this, Lin Mu and the other four were overjoyed, so excited they were on the verge of cheering.
But Lin Mu quickly thought of something. ’Just yesterday, Ren Yuanyang said they needed to observe the long-term effects. How can he be so certain now that there are no side effects?’
"Leader, didn’t you say yesterday that we still needed to be observed for any long-term effects?" Lin Mu couldn’t help but ask.
