This segment of surveillance footage was from a standard camera setup in the elevator corner, positioned at the top right.
In the surveillance,
Under the bright lights, Croney was assisting a seductively dressed girl as they casually entered the elevator.
"My dear," the girl’s frail voice transmitted.
Her face was flushed, and she appeared to be somewhat muddled.
Croney gently caressed her lower back, his smile constant as he whispered and flirted with the woman.
However, the surveillance only captured a small portion of his profile.
"That’s very Croney."
Zheng Ming said in a low voice as he watched the surveillance.
Shen Qianqian and Hu Daqiang had almost no knowledge of Croney prior to this, so they waited for Zheng Ming’s explanation.
Zheng Ming continued, pointing at Croney in the monitor: "Croney is very good at disguising himself. Look at his wrist, wearing a counterfeit luxury watch, his attire also fits the profile of a man who blends into the nightlife scene looking for a catch, and the girl he chose even more so fits his disguise."
Shen Qianqian followed up, "This girl, not only has Lin Chuan seen her, but she also brought a man home, which fits her persona."
"Exactly!"
Zheng Ming nodded fervently, looking at his proud student appreciatively, "And at this moment, Croney is completely focused on this girl, showing no signs of aggression. His disguise is perfect."
"How did Lin Chuan find out?"
Hu Daqiang asked a critical question.

Zheng Ming and Shen Qianqian fell silent.
Xia Qingqing continued playing the surveillance.
After Croney and the girl entered the elevator, the doors closed, went up, and stopped on the first floor.
The elevator doors opened.
One could see Lin Chuan still looking down at his phone, and the moment when the elevator doors opened, he looked up, his gaze first landed on Croney and the girl, but didn’t linger long before he slightly lifted his head and glanced at the camera.
The surveillance fully captured Lin Chuan’s face.
"Croney was right, Lin Chuan indeed has remarkable alertness," Hu Daqiang noted this detail and nodded.
Immediately,
Lin Chuan entered the elevator.
Since Croney and the girl occupied the left side, Lin Chuan stood on the right as soon as he entered, and moreover, faced the wall presenting his side towards Croney.
"Is this posture indicative that Croney wouldn’t attack and Lin Chuan might already be alert?"
Shen Qianqian focused her gaze, her eyebrows slightly furrowed.
Zheng Ming pondered, "If he’s being alert now, it means Lin Chuan saw through Croney’s disguise at a glance, which obviously isn’t possible."
"So this positioning wasn’t deliberate but accidental?"
Shen Qianqian asked.
Zheng Ming was somewhat hesitant but still responded, "It should be."
He couldn’t imagine if Lin Chuan had seen through Croney’s disguise in a glance, how strong would his investigative abilities be?
It was beyond describing as genius.
It should be described as "divine."
Everyone continued to watch the monitor.
In the surveillance video, the elevator closed and moved up.
The three people inside were peaceful.
Croney was embracing the girl, and she was hugging him back, both of them quite impatient.
Lin Chuan stood quietly, occasionally glancing at Croney and the girl, likely attracted by their voices.
All three behaved normally.
Ding.
The elevator reached the thirtieth floor.
The elevator doors opened.
But Lin Chuan did not raise his foot, showing no intention of leaving the elevator.
At this moment, Croney’s gaze lingered on Lin Chuan for a short while before quickly returning to the girl.
Through the surveillance,
Shen, Zheng, and Hu saw, the camera captured Croney’s smile stiffening.
And Lin Chuan, still standing still as if unaware that he had reached his destination. The surveillance showed Lin Chuan slightly turning his eyes, his expression indifferent, his gaze resting on Croney and the girl.
Shen Qianqian and the others held their breath.
Especially Shen Qianqian.
She knew that ultimately Lin Chuan was victorious, but seeing the actual scene of Lin Chuan facing Croney still made her anxious for him.
This was the ’King of Killers from England’!
The elevator doors remained open.
Lin Chuan, Croney, and the girl, none of them left, and through the screen, Shen Qianqian and the others could feel the tension.
Ding!
The elevator doors closed.
The elevator continued to rise.
"Stop for a moment."
Zheng Ming spoke, and Xia Qingqing immediately paused the video.
"Elder Zheng, do you have any insights?" Hu Daqiang asked.
Zheng Ming’s brow furrowed, his gaze resting on the screen, delving into contemplation, "From this, it’s apparent Lin Chuan was aware that he was in danger."
Hu Daqiang, as a detective, although not as experienced as Zheng Ming, was also quite seasoned and astute.
He said, "Exactly, if Lin Chuan wasn’t alerted, at this moment he would have left the elevator. From the way he’s positioned, the moment Lin Chuan stepped out of the elevator would require him to turn around, leaving a gap for Croney to seize the opportunity."
Zheng Ming felt this made sense, then turned to Xia Qingqing, "Please rewind the surveillance to four seconds before."
Xia Qingqing, being a cyber police officer, couldn’t analyze like these detectives and simply followed their instructions.
нarrations
The surveillance returned to when the elevator reached the thirtieth floor, just as the doors opened.
Zheng Ming raised his hand, pointing at Croney, "Look here, there’s another detail."
Shen Qianqian and Hu Daqiang’s expressions shifted slightly.
Abruptly,
Shen Qianqian’s eyes brightened, "So that’s how it is."
She saw that at the moment when the elevator doors opened, Croney’s hand, which had been stroking the girl’s waist, pulled back, and his eyes surreptitiously shifted towards Lin Chuan.
