Chapter 70 Angelina, Ultimate Jail Fan!
“Angelina, good morning.”
Out of politeness, Lin Chuan greeted Angelina first, since they had only met online the night before, for a total of about ten hours, and were not yet very familiar with each other.
It was not like those men and women who meet by chance and gain a deep understanding of each other in just half an hour, inside out, and then boldly claim in front of the police they are well-acquainted. As for the eight hundred yuan in cash, it seemed reasonable for acquaintances to consider it a meeting gift when no other presents were brought along.
However.
Angelina, on the other hand, behaved as if they were old friends.
Maybe it was because she was immersed in the world of “Hacker Kingdom,” had glimpsed into Lin Chuan’s life, and saw him as an idol.
At that moment, she was in front of her computer, and when she saw a message from the author she admired, her heart leaped with joy, and her fingers danced lightly over the keyboard.
“Idol, good morning. /rose.jpg”
“Last night, my friends all loved your autobiography. It’s great and very interesting; it’s definitely a masterpiece in the Hacker World.”
“Some friends started cursing after seeing my recommendation at first, but their eyes soon betrayed their emotions because they couldn’t stop reading your autobiography.”

Angelina was generous with her words of praise.
Even through the internet, Lin Chuan could almost see Angelina’s eyes sparkling with little stars, although he had never met her.
As a writer, he was not aiming to illuminate the world with his book, nor was he trying to pursue some profound literary realm.
On the contrary, he was quite materialistic, only interested in making money.
But when there genuinely were readers who recognized and praised him, Lin Chuan still felt very heartwarming.
Lin Chuan considered seriously, noticing that Angelina, this reader from North Bear, was a little different from some of his previous readers.
Angelina was not curious nor was she learning technology, nor trying to find out if he had a criminal record. She purely enjoyed “Hacker Kingdom” and highly appreciated him.
This subtle feeling lingered in Lin Chuan’s heart, leaving him content, happy, and slightly proud.
Ultimate true fan!
Lin Chuan labeled Angelina as such.
“Angelina, your recommendation last night was very powerful, the stats soared!” Lin Chuan said sincerely, with a laugh.
“Powerful...I understand that word, but what does ‘soared’ mean?” Angelina asked.
“It means the novel’s stats went up really quickly.”
“I see, so does the idol feel grateful to me?”
“Of course.”
Lin Chuan was indeed grateful for Angelina, his ultimate true fan.
“When I get to your area, I’ll come and hang out with you!” Angelina half-jokingly suggested.
“Sure thing!” Lin Chuan laughed in response.
“That settles it then, once I finish my current work, I’ll come and worship the idol!” Angelina had a bright smile on her face.
“By the way, Angelina, there’s something I want to ask you about,” Lin Chuan pondered for a moment before replying.
“Go ahead, idol,” she said.
“Last night, ‘Hacker Kingdom’ gained 100,000 collections, meaning 100,000 people added it to their bookshelves. Did they all come through your recommendation?”
Lin Chuan voiced his puzzlement.
“Only 100,000 added to the bookshelves?” Angelina responded.
“Only?”
Lin Chuan’s eyebrows furrowed at her reply.
Did Angelina think that 100,000 was too few?
“I recommended the autobiography of the idol to 200,000 people last night,” Angelina said, and Lin Chuan was dumbfounded.
200,000?
Wait a minute!
Lin Chuan was stunned.
As the saying goes, the more friends you have, the more pathways in life you have. Elders always say it’s good to make more friends.
But friends in the tens or hundreds of thousands were definitely astonishing.
It was impossible for all these people to be Angelina’s friends!
With this thought, Lin Chuan quickly typed a question: “Angelina, how did you recommend it to all these people?”
“To promote the autobiography of the God of Hackers, of course, I had to use a bit of cool technology,” Angelina replied.
Cool technology?
A little bit?
Lin Chuan’s heart suddenly filled with an ominous premonition.
Angelina was a member of the North Bear HK Hacker Organization, and when she talked about her cool techniques... could that mean... cyber intrusion?
GG!
Would the Cyber Police of North Bear consider it a war between hackers if they detected such a large-scale cyber intrusion?
Suddenly!
Lin Chuan thought of something even more terrifying.
Last night, Angelina said she had channels in the country and was going to recommend “Hacker Kingdom” abroad.
Hisss!
Lin Chuan’s mouth twitched, and he took in a sharp breath of cold air, quickly asking, “You haven’t begun recommending on my side, have you?”
However, the three messages Angelina sent made Lin Chuan’s spirit chill from head to toe.
“How dare I neglect something related to my idol?”
“Have you ever seen Mo City at four in the morning?”
“I got up at four o’clock to start tinkering with the app for the first round of promotion. After all, it’s cross-border, and there are a few troubles with promotion.”
Lin Chuan, also being a hacker, keenly sensed something was amiss: “Angelina, is this a technical push?”
“Technical push?”
Angelina wasn’t sure about the meaning of these Chinese words.
“I mean, did you use methods like cyber intrusion to push out the promotions?” Lin Chuan asked.
“Cyber intrusion... You could say that,” Angelina replied.
Lin Chuan suddenly felt a darkness before his eyes, as if someone had grasped his throat, the hand of fate making it hard to breathe.
Angelina’s kind of recommendation was too penalizing!
True Love Fan (×)
Head-First-to-Jail Fan (√)
Angelina indeed was different from the other readers in the group.
The group of lawbreakers merely talked about sending Lin Chuan to prison.
But Angelina, “The Head-First-to-Jail Fan,” took actual steps to send Lin Chuan there!
For a long while.
Lin Chuan finally collected himself: “Angelina, stop the promotion for now.”
“Idol, what’s wrong?” Angelina asked.
Lin Chuan’s breathing grew rapid, his fingers moving faster than ever: “How many people have you reached with your promotion in my country so far?”
Angelina pondered for a moment and then replied, “Due to cross-border promotion taking some time, I’ve only reached Han River Province where you are, about fifty thousand people.”
Fifty thousand?
Lin Chuan’s eyes widened, and he drew in a sharp breath of cold air.
This number should count as a large-scale invasion by foreign hackers, right?
The only consolation was that Angelina was just promoting a novel, and it shouldn’t have caused any real damage.
Lin Chuan considered, “I know you like ‘Hacker Kingdom,’ but this method of promotion can easily cause unnecessary troubles.”
Angelina looked at Lin Chuan’s message, her eyebrows furrowed, her mouth slightly pursed: “Idol, there might be some trouble.”
“Book banning, squatting in the police station,” Lin Chuan thought of two possibilities.
Angelina first intruded the hacker communities of North Bear, then crossed over and did another round in Han River Province; such actions created huge disturbances.
Lin Chuan was unclear about the situation in North Bear.
If it was investigated in Han River Province, digging deep into the matter would likely lead to the novel being banned.
Even Lin Chuan himself might be facing imprisonment.
In such a situation, having no experience and not quite understanding it, Lin Chuan needed to consult with a professional before drawing any conclusions.
As for the professional...
Immediately, Lin Chuan thought of the short-haired girl who resembled Yixing, Xia Qingqing.
Luckily, during their last gaming session at the Forbidden Summit Esports Internet Cafe, Lin Chuan and Xia Qingqing had exchanged contact details.
Dudu dudu—
Lin Chuan dialed Xia Qingqing’s number.
