Chapter 26 I’m Just Too Damn Professional!
Virtual World.
Outside the mansion, the door wide open, one could see the nightfall, as dark as ink and as misty as fog, with the stark white moonlight falling down, giving the appearance of a gloomy castle and creating a thrilling sensation.
Lin Chuan shivered, his palms sweating with tiny beads of perspiration, his muscles tense, unable to stop his hands and legs from trembling slightly.
His heart was pounding, thumping like a drum.
Even though he had mentally prepared himself in advance, when he actually faced such a crime scene, he still couldn’t help shaking.
But!
Lin Chuan knew that he now had to overcome his psychological barriers.
If he didn’t spend much time experiencing this professional life, he wouldn’t be able to take away the corresponding skills of this profession.
And, if the experience of the professional life wasn’t compelling, the outcome of the novel was basically predictable: it would flop.
He couldn’t achieve the ‘Popularity Value’ needed to ‘unlock the next profession.’
Lin Chuan’s lips were tightly shut, his breathing slightly rapid.
He quickly scanned his surroundings to assess the situation.
“I must find a way!”
Lin Chuan’s gaze fell on the two people in front of him.
A man and a woman.
The man had the look of middle age, his skin slack and showing signs of age.
The woman seemed very youthful, with a beautiful face, tight and fair skin, a slender waist, and exceptionally enchanting looks.
However, Lin Chuan didn’t appreciate it much.
Because he was entirely uninterested!
“This is a luxury villa, and the identities of these two people must be quite extraordinary.”
“If discovered, it could cause a huge sensation, and once a manhunt was ordered, I would be unable to escape.”
“In principle, I shouldn’t be doing this.”
“But this is the Virtual Reality world, and I just want to experience this profession a bit more, after all, I need a lot of subscriptions after the generated novel is published.”
Immediately, Lin Chuan stepped into the role of ‘Assassin,’ making his first judgment: clean up the scene.
In reality.
One shouldn’t harm others, or else they’d end up shot full of holes, dead through and through, without any chance of luck.
However, this is a virtual world built by the system using ‘AR Virtual Reality technology,’ much like Virtual Reality gunfights and fighting games.
Lin Chuan, as a young man who had received a good education from an early age, had to temporarily put aside the education he received, forget about the morals and laws of reality, and start cleaning up the scene.
Lin Chuan glanced at the scene, which was a complete mess.
Clothes and shoes scattered all over the floor, broken wine glass shards everywhere, and the two people.
Lin Chuan’s body was also stained with a bit of red liquid.
Fortunately, the surveillance here had already been destroyed, reducing the difficulty a bit.
There was also no fourth person appearing indoors.
“First, let’s take care of the aftermath for these two!”
“Sorry, this is the virtual world, I would never dare to do this in the real world!”
Lin Chuan swallowed and layered his armor once again!
He took a deep breath, calmed himself down, and now had gloves on his hands to avoid leaving fingerprints.
These two were the most direct evidence.
So.
The first step was to take care of them.
As an assassin, it’s not enough to be proficient in firearms and fighting.
A professional assassin must learn to ‘take care of the aftermath’ to prevent any clues from being detected.
This was also the most difficult part.
Otherwise, the moment one finished the mission, and before they knew it, they would be searched for, ‘entire server’ warrant out for their arrest!
Lin Chuan stared at the two people, his eyebrows slightly furrowed.
“Dealing with these two on my own is too challenging, disposing, burying, or shredding, aren’t really feasible options.”
“I must find a way!”
Quickly!
A flash of inspiration struck Lin Chuan’s mind.
He would fabricate the scene!
“Let’s do it this way!”
Lin Chuan made up his mind and immediately went into action.
He first cleared the red liquid from the bodies of a man and a woman, moved them into a room, used the woman’s fingernails to leave scratch marks on the man’s body, made the man clasp the woman’s hair in his hand, tearing a few strands off and keeping them in his hand, creating a false impression.
Immediately after.
Lin Chuan used a special method to deal with the wounds.
Right after.
Lin Chuan rearranged the clothes scattered all over the hall.
As for the woman, he took her away!
Just like that, a scene where a woman encountered a forceful J by the man, fought back against the man, and fled in panic, was fabricated.
“Phew–”
“Finally took care of it.”
Lin Chuan let out a sigh of relief and murmured softly.
Afterward.
His gaze fell upon the actual ‘crime scene’.
He began by sweeping up the shattered glass of wine cups from the floor, then dealing with the red liquid.
Completing this part was still nowhere near enough.
As is well-known, traces of red liquid are the most difficult to clean.
Usually, at the crime scene, a certain reagent is used which can detect reactions of the red liquid; once sprayed, any traces of the red liquid are revealed without a doubt, and together with other evidence, the scene is reconstructed.
“Can’t use water to wash it, water won’t clean it off, and using a large amount of water in a short period would also create evidence.”
Lin Chuan’s mind raced.
His professional crime scene handling ability allowed Lin Chuan to quickly think of a countermeasure.
In such cases, ‘a certain chemical’ is needed.
The reason a certain reagent can detect the red liquid is that it catalyzes the iron element in hemoglobin to undergo hydrogen peroxide decomposition, which then emits blue or blue-green fluorescence.
Using the chemical, one could destroy the DNA in traces of the red liquid and preemptively react with the iron in the red liquid, rendering the reagent’s catalytic effect useless.
No sooner said than done!
In the sprawling mansion, Lin Chuan quickly found that chemical in the storeroom, swiftly spraying and cleaning the traces of the red liquid.
Immediately after.
Lin Chuan used a cloth to wipe the floor once more, then used a blow dryer to dry it, to avoid leaving watermarks and footprints.
The final step!
He packed the cleaning items and waste into a black trash bag, pulled a suitcase, and left the mansion.
Before leaving, Lin Chuan also casually opened a window.
His purpose was to let the smell of the chemicals in the hall dissipate as quickly as possible.
From start to finish, he spent only 15 minutes.
Lin Chuan hurriedly fled the scene, and the weight in his heart finally settled, as he sighed a long sigh of relief.
“I’m too damn professional!”
“It’s like I’m really an assassin!”
Lin Chuan complained to himself.
However, as he walked through the foggy night, he seriously considered for a moment.
It seemed... he indeed had the potential to become an assassin!
After all, it was his first time handling a scene, and his technique for fabricating the scene was so professional!
Inconceivable!
But he still felt a lingering fear.
This profession was like walking a tightrope.
Sooner or later, that wire would cost him his life.
“No good, no good!”
“In real life, I must abide by the law!”
Lin Chuan shook his head and spoke with clarity.
In the Virtual World, the deep blue moonlight and the twinkling stars spread across the night sky, adorning a touch of brightness in the pitch darkness.
Lin Chuan’s professional life experience continued...
