She witnessed a fight like those seen in movies.
Yet, the scene was even more intense, dangerous, deadly.
Guns!
She also spotted guns.
A cold gun barrel appeared, and in an instant, she thought she was dreaming, hallucinating, but the very next moment, she snapped back to reality!
This was a real gun!
All black and silver, not very conspicuous under the elevator light, it resembled a phantom; Croney was holding the grip, showing a bit of dark brown, and right above the trigger, at the front of the cold barrel, there was a large, black object attached, longer than the barrel itself.
She thought of a camera’s long-focus lens.
But she immediately discarded these guesses.
She was terrified!
But all she could do was shrink into a corner of the elevator, curled up, witnessing everything, even worrying whether she would be silenced.
Lin Chuan raised his fist and also got a clear view of the gun.
This was a new type of pistol.
— Kimber R7 Mako Tactical Edition Pistol.
A compact self-defense firearm, equipped with a threaded barrel, caliber 9×19mm, barrel length 86 mm, unloaded weight 686 grams, magazine capacity 15+1 rounds.
In the assassin community, it was cherished.
This type of 007-style automatic pistol, popular among assassins mainly because it could be fitted with a silencer, and officially adapts multiple types of silencers.
After all, assassins’ deeds can’t see the light of day.
They are hunters of the night.
The sound of the gun was like a clap of thunder in the night, revealing one’s position in a moment of eruption.
Even if the mission succeeded, the chance that the assassin would be encircled was incredibly high.
A pistol without a silencer was essentially like a death knell to an assassin.
"The preparation is really thorough."
Lin Chuan inwardly admired, truly a professional and top-notch assassin.
Disguise, timing, silencing the firearm, superb fighting skills, and rich hunting experience.
If it weren’t for Lin Chuan having similar and yet more remarkable virtual experience, he might have indeed met his end at this man’s hands.
But then, who was the real King of Killers?
In an instant,
Almost in the blink of an eye,
Lin Chuan struck again.
His target, not Croney, but the gun.
A gun was ultimately too dangerous.
Lin Chuan was a cautious man; he liked to keep things under control.
This gun was an unstable factor.
Boom!
The confined space in the elevator was narrow.
A gust of wind caused by a punch made a chilling sound.
Croney only saw a fist from the right side bombing towards his face, and his right hand was unable to retract quickly.
But he wasn’t someone easy to deal with!
His left hand quickly formed a fist, attempting to counter Lin Chuan’s strike.
But a moment’s delay is a step’s delay.
Bang!
Lin Chuan’s fist solidly smashed onto his face.
Yes,
Smashed!
The force of the punch was beyond his expectation, like a hammer the size of a fist becoming a blazing wheel, finally smashing on his face.
It seemed his teeth loosened.
A rapid spread of a bloody taste filled his mouth, and his gums throbbed with sharp pain.
At the same time, stars appeared before his eyes.
He only felt a darkness come over his sight, feeling dizzy.
He violently shook his head, then shifted to the side, trying to move away from the corner to deny Lin Chuan another chance to attack.
Where would Lin Chuan let him do as he pleases?
Strike while the iron is hot!
Smack!
Lin Chuan made a palm strike like a blade, severely chopping on Croney’s wrist.
After two consecutive hits, his wrist couldn’t withstand the attack any longer.
His grip loosened.
The Kimber R7 Mako Tactical Edition Pistol effortlessly landed in Lin Chuan’s hand.
Croney, bearing the pain, tried to strike back and reclaim it.
But Lin Chuan was faster.
His right foot raised, fiercer than a tiger, abruptly kicking up.
The disparity between arm and leg strength.
Croney didn’t dare to meet Lin Chuan’s leg techniques head-on with his arms, which was nothing but self-sabotage.
Reluctantly, he had to retract and disengage, seeking another chance to strike.
At this moment, Croney already showed signs of defeat.
Simultaneously, Lin Chuan’s hands were busy.
A clicking sound echoed in the elevator, reaching Croney’s ears.
Lin Chuan’s actions were playing out before Croney’s eyes.
— He was disassembling the gun.
The magazine.
The silencer.
The barrel.
And more.
In a flash, the Kimber R7 Mako Tactical Edition Pistol was turned into a pile of parts, scattered inside the elevator.
Croney swallowed his saliva, watching Lin Chuan as though he were a monster.
This gun disassembly speed!
As fast as lightning!
If Lin Chuan had merely removed the magazine, Croney might have been surprised.
But the speed at which Lin Chuan disassembled the gun left Croney utterly shocked.
He had been using this gun for a long time.
He knew the Kimber R7 Mako Tactical Edition Pistol like the back of his hand, as if it were an extension of his right arm, achieving perfect harmony between man and gun.
But his disassembly speed could never match Lin Chuan’s level.
And, Lin Chuan was disassembling the gun in the midst of a battle.
Multitasking!
A wave of melancholy suddenly surged in Croney’s heart.
He might never have thought this operation would fail.
He was Croney, a notorious assassin.
He had completed countless missions, was wanted by numerous countries, and ranked among the top five most notorious assassins.
When he accepted the mission, he had specifically researched Lin Chuan.
He knew all about Lin Chuan,
including his commute time, social relationships, which building he was in at Linjiang Mansion, which floors in that building, which route he took to and from work.
It also included an assessment of Lin Chuan’s strength.
This was the professional standard of a top assassin.
Overall, Croney casually thought it was a relatively easy mission.
The only difficulty was capturing him alive.
In his previous missions, he had always killed the target.
Capturing alive then. Continue reading stories on empire
Don’t blow his head off, just shoot his limbs to incapacitate him.
The client only wanted him alive; it didn’t matter if he was injured a bit.
Moreover, the client had arranged backup personnel. As long as they controlled Lin Chuan, the mission would be considered complete.
Ten million US dollars, Croney had already counted it as his.
But!
He never thought that he would fail.
And tonight, he might die at this man’s hands.
Fighting against Lin Chuan, he felt a pervasive sense of powerlessness.
Restrained at every turn!
Unable to utilize his full combat skills!
F*ck!
Is he the assassin, or am I the assassin?
Croney cursed inwardly.
The melancholy in his heart was but fleeting.
"Tonight’s mission can’t be completed!" he thought to himself.
This line of work as an assassin.
If you don’t defeat your opponent in one strike, you become passive.
Prolonged exchanges only increase the risk.
In the current situation.
Run!
If the green hills are preserved, there will be no fear of running out of firewood.
Ten million US dollars, you have to be alive to spend it.
Croney moved to the side of the elevator button, quickly pressed the elevator open button; with a ding, he fiercely kicked at Lin Chuan, trying to use the momentum to flee through the door.
Can’t beat him, can’t he still run?
He thought to himself.
Lin Chuan’s next move gave him the answer.
Really can’t run!
Croney’s kick met the air as Lin Chuan unified his waist and horse stance, flipped sideways.
"See, you are too hasty."
Lin Chuan revealed a standard smile, showing eight teeth.
Croney was indeed hasty.
He had begun to think of retreating.
With this retreat, he exposed many flaws to Lin Chuan!
If Croney had fought a bloody battle to the end with Lin Chuan, it might still take some work for Lin Chuan to take him down.
Now, Lin Chuan’s momentum grew even stronger.
His fierce attacks were like a heavy summer rain mixed with lightning and thunder, playing out within the small elevator.
Croney was in utter distress!
The elevator doors opened.
That woman had crawled out, but he was tightly entangled by Lin Chuan in the elevator.
His only way out might be to completely expose his back to Lin Chuan.
But he knew Lin Chuan’s leg techniques.
With just one side-body long kick from Lin Chuan, he would be kicked against the wall like a muddy mess and knocked unconscious.
He could only face the battle head-on.
Lin Chuan launched one deadly move after another.
Bomb Punch.
Side Elbow Strike.
Hooking Kick.
Grapple.
Elbow Strike.
Croney took a harsh elbow hit, staggered, and was then kicked against the elevator wall by Lin Chuan!
The outcome was determined!
Lin Chuan pressed forward!
