Next to the iron gate of the rented room.
Lin Chuan, wearing just boxer shorts, stared blankly at the Little Landlady, “What’s happened to the internet cafe we’re overseeing?”
Currently.
Lin Chuan’s 720 Studio had collaboration with several internet cafes, providing them with network security protection services.
If anything went wrong, the reputation and capability of 720 Studio would be called into question.
For a studio just starting out, this was a significant blow.
Zhang Xinxin, dressed in a loose cartoon T-shirt, puckered her lips and said, “My second uncle called just now and said that the servers at Forbidden Summit Esports Internet Cafe are being hacked.”
“Hmm?”
Lin Chuan frowned, a trace of concern flashing across his face, “Who’s trying to smash my signboard?”
For a hacker, especially a top-tier hacker, technology is their lifeline.
The firewalls laid out in places like Forbidden Summit were a testament to Lin Chuan’s prowess.
Now, someone wanted to breach his firewall and hack into Forbidden Summit’s servers—this was like dragging Lin Chuan’s face as a top hacker through the dirt, grinding it in.
“Li Qing has already gone over to handle it, but I’m worried he might not be up to the task, so I came up to ask for your help,” said the Little Landlady with pursed lips.
“Okay, wait for me,” Lin Chuan nodded and immediately went back to his room, entering the narrow space inside.
The Little Landlady blinked, “Master, do you need my help?”
“Little Landlady, I’m changing clothes. Do you need to help me with that too?” Lin Chuan grinned and laughed.
The Little Landlady’s cheeks turned red as she muttered, “I thought Master you needed help moving something.”
Lin Chuan chuckled.
Half a minute later, Lin Chuan changed into simple casual pants and a white T-shirt, looking sunny and neat.
“How are we going to Forbidden Summit?” Lin Chuan asked.
“I don’t have a C1 driving license yet, so we can only ride the electric bike there. Luckily, it’s not far from here to Qingxiu District,” said Zhang Xinxin, her lips slightly pouted as she smiled.
The Little Landlady’s electric bike was parked downstairs.
The two of them put on their helmets and sped off with a ‘swoosh’.
Since traffic police often conducted vehicle checks in the area, Lin Chuan, lacking a C1 car license or a motorcycle license, could only sit on the back seat of the Little Landlady’s electric bike.
The world’s top hacker, yet without even a driver’s license.
Sigh...
“Master, why don’t you have a driver’s license?” Xinxin asked.
“I haven’t had the chance to take the test,” Lin Chuan chuckled a bit awkwardly.
In fact, it wasn’t that Lin Chuan hadn’t had the time to test; he didn’t want to spend his parents’ money during university, and post-graduation, he couldn’t afford it.
After all, getting a C1 license costs over 5,000 yuan, and an E license for a two-wheeler costs over a thousand yuan.
How much was a month’s full attendance at a menial job worth?
But now that he had a bit of money, he would find a time to get his driving license.
“Master, don’t lean back, it makes the front of the bike unsteady,” the Little Landlady, holding tightly to the handlebars of the electric bike, sped along the road. She wasn’t very skilled at driving.
After all, she had never carried a guy before.
“What should I do then?” Lin Chuan asked.
“Lean... lean forward towards me,” the Little Landlady gritted her teeth and reluctantly instructed.
“Is that okay?”
“Just don’t bump into me, or I’ll be disrespecting my master!” the Little Landlady huffed.
The wind was whooshing by.
Xinxin’s loose T-shirt clung to her body as the wind blew, revealing her delicate curves.
Lin Chuan could smell a faint fragrance from up close.
To be honest, this was also Lin Chuan’s first time sitting on the back seat of a girl’s electric scooter.
It was a different kind of experience.
However, the experience always ended quickly.
Because they had arrived at the Forbidden Summit Esports Internet Cafe in Qingxiu District.
Time to get down to business!
“Uncle, I’ve brought Master here!” As soon as Zhang Xinxin entered the Forbidden Summit, she rushed towards the small office next to the reception desk.
Lin Chuan glanced at the Internet Cafe.
The occupancy rate of Forbidden Summit was quite high.
If the server was successfully infiltrated, it would result in a significant loss of money.
“Xinxin, Lin, you finally made it.”
In the small office, Zhang Ren had already been waiting for a long time and personally poured a cup of Pu’er tea for Lin Chuan.
Lin Chuan expressed his thanks.
After that, he took a sip of the Pu’er tea and got straight to the point, “Director Zhang, let me see who is trying to infiltrate the servers of Forbidden Summit.”
“Fine.”
Zhang Ren didn’t indulge in small talk, following behind Lin Chuan.
Li Qing was also in the office.
He was holding a laptop, constantly monitoring the status of the Internet cafe’s servers. Seeing Lin Chuan had arrived, he quietly breathed a sigh of relief: “Boss.”
Lin Chuan nodded in acknowledgement: “How is the server now?”
“Currently normal, but there’s a continuous stream of forged IP and MAC addresses attempting ARP spoofing attacks to intercept server communication information. Luckily our 720’s security protection is strong enough,” Li Qing replied.
These days.
Since he had joined Lin Chuan’s 720 studio, his technical skills had greatly improved, and he could now easily handle the usual hacking tactics.
However, he had no experience with this kind of large-scale, real-world hacker attack, so he felt somewhat panicked.
Only when he saw Lin Chuan, did he start to feel assured.
Lin Chuan nodded and, after examining the code information displayed on the screen, fixed his gaze, “I’ll check who is trying to infiltrate our servers.”
Li Qing immediately vacated his seat.
As soon as Lin Chuan sat in front of the computer, there was a subtle change in his demeanor.
Little Landlady Zhang Xinxin watched on the side, her eyes widening slightly. She felt that the Lin Chuan now was completely different from the Lin Chuan who sat in the back seat of the car earlier.
Calm and in control of the situation.
This was Little Landlady’s impression of Lin Chuan at that moment.
“Lin, our servers won’t be infiltrated, right?” Zhang Ren asked with some apprehension.
If they messed up, the loss would be significant.
Once infiltrated and key information was stolen, it would not just be the immediate economic loss at stake but also the reputation of Forbidden Summit.
Many Internet cafes had suffered repeated infiltrations, with network instability, rampant viruses, and leaked information leading to a sharp decline in customers until they went out of business.
“Director Zhang, if under my security protection, the servers of Forbidden Summit are infiltrated, then our 720 studio would also have to declare bankruptcy,” Lin Chuan said with a confident smile.
His meaning was simple: they would flourish or fail together.
“Uncle, don’t worry, my master is very capable,” Zhang Xinxin slapped Zhang Ren’s shoulder nonchalantly.
Zhang Ren revealed a slight smile: “I trust your judgment.”
Lin Chuan concentrated on the computer screen, his fingers instinctively positioned on the keyboard, tapping with light and agile movements as he typed out code and executed operations expertly and swiftly.
In any circle, it’s the survival of the fittest.
In the hacker community, this law is even more pronounced, and to avoid being harassed by petty criminals, one must display extreme strength!
Passive defense and tolerance will make the enemy think you’re a soft persimmon ready to be squeezed.
Thus, Lin Chuan’s thought was simple.
Find the adversary, and knock them senseless!
Retaliate, draw your sword!
