"There is still room for improvement for this gun," Lin Chuan encouraged.
"Then I’ll continue to work on it,"
Shen Qianqian pursed her lips and nodded solemnly before bringing up Lin Chuan’s rocket launcher, "Can your rocket launcher really make it?"
"Of course, it will," Lin Chuan replied affirmatively.
In the Virtual World, armed forces from Southeast Asia and the Middle East region are scrambling for this rocket launcher.
Some countries are spending a lot to dismantle his "Remote Box-type Rocket Launcher" and are willing to pay a high price for his technology.
A certain military superpower has also extended an olive branch to him.
These achievements are not to be disclosed to outsiders.
"Then let’s give it a try,"
Shen Jianhua, the steel mill director, took a deep breath and said.
What more could he ask for in such a situation?
The design blueprints of Lin’s rocket launcher looked indeed very professional, giving it more hope to be recognized by the two hosting organizations than Qianqian’s "modular new-style rifle."
A desperate situation calls for desperate measures!
What if it succeeded?
Soon, the three of them threw themselves into the making of the weapon models for the competition.
Since Shen Qianqian’s "modular new-style rifle" still needed optimization, they decided to start with Lin Chuan’s "Remote Box-type Rocket Launcher."
This time, the model making was naturally led by Lin Chuan.
In the steel mill, inside the office.
Lin Chuan inserted a USB drive, exported the model blueprints, and planned the production process according to the machinery available in the steel mill.
Outside the office.
Shen Jianhua took his daughter aside, not forgetting to glance back at Lin Chuan.
"Dad, what’s going on?"
Shen Qianqian, puzzled, looked at the secretive Shen Jianhua and asked.
"I need to ask you something," Shen Jianhua chuckled dryly.
"Then ask away, once you’re done, I’m going to assist Chuan," Shen Qianqian’s heart was still with Lin Chuan, keen to help him make the weapon model for the "Remote Box-type Rocket Launcher."
"Ah,"
Shen Jianhua’s face twitched, "How long have you known Lin?"
Shen Qianqian’s eyebrows furrowed slightly in confusion: "About half a year, aren’t you confident about Lin Chuan? Dad, don’t worry, he is a key protected person by the Anling Police, you can be completely at ease."
"Half a year already, so that means Lin is very outstanding?" Shen Jianhua asked again.
"Of course,"
Speaking of Lin Chuan, Shen Qianqian’s brows lifted, and she smiled brightly, "Dad, don’t be fooled by his youthfulness, he’s actually very skilled."
In her heart, she added a line.
——Although what he excels at isn’t always respectable.
Shen Jianhua let out a long "Oh," and continued with interest, "So what’s your relationship with him now, friends?"
Shen Qianqian immediately took a step back, pouted, and complained: "I thought you were worried about Lin Chuan’s expertise, but it turns out you have other intentions!"
"Qianqian, this isn’t about having other intentions, you know what I’m most concerned about right now is you and the steel mill,"
Shen Jianhua sighed softly.
Ever since the steel mill started its decline, his spirits had sagged too, and suddenly it dawned on him that he was getting old.
Once a person feels old, it’s inevitable to start worrying more.
Apart from the steel mill, his main concern was Shen Qianqian.
However, Shen Qianqian had been working for quite some time now, her career was thriving, with regular commendations and awards from her unit.
But then.
There was no progress in her romantic life.
Could that not make an old father anxious?
"Dad, you don’t need to worry about this," Shen Qianqian glanced discreetly towards the office before speaking immediately.
The thing young people hate the most is being rushed to marry and have kids.
Shen Qianqian was no exception.
Love isn’t something you can have just by wanting it, and even if you try to force it, there might not be any fruit to bear!
And the marriage market nowadays is not so good either!
Shen Jianhua, feeling old and with age, added one more thing, "Qianqian, I think Lin..."
But before he could finish, Shen Qianqian interrupted him.
"Stop!"
Shen Qianqian immediately crossed her hands and said, "He has a girlfriend, don’t go pairing them randomly!"
"Uh..."
Shen Jianhua, the elderly father, suddenly found himself at a loss for words, and could only sigh inwardly.
—What a pity.
"You should care less about young people’s business and just look forward to your steel mill becoming a military factory. If you really have nothing to do, go dancing with mom in the square. Otherwise, there are a lot of old men in the square, so keep an eye out," Shen Qianqian pouted slightly, teasing her father in return.
Shen Jianhua grinned: "Excellent men always have confidence; in this respect, Lin and I are very much alike."
"Cough cough cough!"
Shen Qianqian suddenly choked on her breath and began to cough violently.
This dad, shameless!
Well, in this respect, he really is somewhat like Lin Chuan!
After the small talk, the Shen family father and daughter returned to the office to work with Lin Chuan on the model making of the ’Long-range Box-type Rocket Launcher.’
Lin Chuan had ’frighteningly extensive’ experience in weapons making.
So model making was not difficult for him.
The Long-range Rocket Launcher, thanks to its ’multi-launch rocket system,’ quick launch speed, fierce firepower, good surprise attack capabilities, and strong mobility, quickly became a popular item in military weaponry.
For instance, the HIMARS Rocket Launcher is one of the ’hot-selling’ models.
The ’Long-range Rocket Launcher’ that Lin Chuan was working on had some similarities with the weapons designed by Shen Qianqian, incorporating a ’box-type modular’ design.
This design was already established in reality.
’Box-type modular’ allows rocket launcher projectiles to be sealed in the launch box like missiles.
If there is a battle, a launch box can be quickly mounted on the rocket launcher frame, enabling rapid deployment and greater convenience.
Therefore, the Remote Box-type Rocket Launcher became one of the main development directions of rocket launchers.
"Lin Chuan, this ’box-type modular’ design you came up with seems really strong," Shen Qianqian said, comparing it to her ’modular new-style rifle’ and immediately feeling outclassed.
Lin Chuan smiled and explained, "The box-type Rocket Launcher I’ve designed can achieve precise strikes at different distances by changing rocket projectiles of different calibers."
"What’s the maximum range?"
Off to the side, Shen Jianhua asked.
Lin Chuan pointed at the Rocket Launcher model on the computer, then switched to the projectile model, a look of confidence on his face: "I’ve prepared three types of rocket projectiles with different calibers, which theoretically could achieve precision strikes within 600 kilometers!"
"Even though I don’t quite understand, it seems really powerful," Shen Qianqian admitted, not being very knowledgeable about rocket launchers but impressed by the ’600 kilometers’ part.
Shen Jianhua didn’t understand much either.
"Uncle Shen, I’ve finished this part; we can start making the model now," said Lin Chuan, knowing that the Shen father and daughter were not very familiar with rocket launchers, he skipped the topic and went straight into the production process.
"Good," Shen Jianhua nodded his head.
They left the office.
Shen Qianqian and Lin Chuan walked side by side.
She turned to Lin Chuan and earnestly requested, "Lin Chuan, when your model is ready, can you also help me optimize my rifle? I would like to do something for the steel mill."
Lin Chuan looked into Shen Qianqian’s bright and clear eyes and laughed, "Of course there’s no problem."
The preliminaries were approaching.
Weapon model making became the primary task for Lin Chuan and Shen Qianqian.
