Lin Chuan looked a bit startled.
He hadn't expected that the previous weapons supplier for the Haas Armed Forces was none other than the Morgan Group.
That is to say,
by sheer coincidence, he had stolen a military weapons order from the Morgan Group, taking their client.
Thereupon, a sincere smile spread across Lin Chuan's face as he replied, "Mr. Leo, when will you arrive in Anling City? I'll come to pick you up."
If it had been some other supplier's client, Lin Chuan might not have been this eager.
But,
the client was the Haas Armed Forces, a customer of the Morgan Group!
Morgan Group, sorry, but from now on, the Haas Armed Forces are my close partners!
And more so, after a short time thinking, Lin Chuan even considered another possibility.
—Steal the military weapons business from the Morgan Group!
Indeed.
Ever since he had uprooted the Morgan Group's "Addictive drugs" industry along the Han River, and personally handed over the important figure Yu Keke to the police station, leading to her death sentence, they had become sworn enemies.
The Morgan Group would certainly take action against me, so why not strike first?
Then, let's start with the military weapons industry chain and remove this tumor that is the Morgan Group!
—So Lin Chuan thought.
Elsewhere.
Far in Southeast Asia, Leo suddenly saw the message that Lin Chuan would pick him up, raising an eyebrow, "Mr. Lin, thank you, I'll arrive around ten tomorrow morning."
"OK, I look forward to welcoming you."
Lin Chuan, wearing a smile, then ended the call, walked out of the room, stretched lazily, and humming a tune, he moved to the balcony.
Outside.
The surface of the Anling River glimmered, resembling a strip of jade inlaid with golden diamonds, like a meandering scroll, with several boats slowly moving forward, surrounded by ripples.
"Chairman, what's making you so happy?"
At that moment, the Little Landlady came up from behind, wearing a homey floral dress that showcased her long, pale, straight legs, holding a glass of milk, which she handed to Lin Chuan.
Lin Chuan turned around to take the milk, smiling, "I just landed a big client, the initial funding for the steel mill looks promising."
"Your munitions factory has clients already, and it hasn't even opened?"
The Little Landlady was also constantly keeping track of the munitions factory; after all, she now held the roles of CFO + Deputy General Manager + Director at "Falcon Technology Co., Ltd."
Though it was just the two of them, the company was not to be underestimated.
Because Lin Chuan held the roles of Chairman + General Manager + Technical Director.
"You might not believe it, but this client, he is one of my readers."
Lin Chuan laughed, and then recounted the whole story to the Little Landlady.
The Little Landlady was taken aback, "So does it mean, we are now completely at odds with the Morgan Group?"
Lin Chuan took a sip of his milk, nodding, "If we don't take them on, they will still come at us, why not take the initiative and mess with them?"
"Chairman, you're right, let's mess with them!"
The Little Landlady furrowed her brows, nodding solemnly.
A feisty spirit emerged on her face, making her appear inordinately playful.
"So, tomorrow we need to discuss the partnership matters with Leo."
Lin Chuan said, smiling.
The Little Landlady thought for a moment, then asked, "Is Mr. Leo's accommodation and reception all set up?"
"Not yet."
Lin Chuan looked at the Little Landlady, smiling, "You know your way around this, you handle it."
"No problem, our deal with the Haas Armed Forces shouldn't be high-profile, so let's book the Baoying, with hills behind and water in front, the scenery is nice too, and I'll plan out the specifics of the agenda in more detail."
Clearly, the Little Landlady was far superior to Lin Chuan in this regard.
Lin Chuan habitually pinched the Little Landlady's cheek, "My Xinxin has become quite the expert in this area."
"I can't be dragging you down, can I?"
The Little Landlady smiled with pursed lips.
Lin Chuan suddenly remembered something, asking, "How did Old Zhang's medical check-up go, no problems, right?"
"He's in good shape," the Little Landlady laughed, "The doctor just recommended he exercise more, nothing else."
"That's good."
"Chairman, why don't you also go for a check-up? You always stay up late, I'm worried..." The Little Landlady hesitated.
Lin Chuan was startled, "Worried about what?"
The Little Landlady looked up, "I'm worried you might be weakening."
A dark line instantly appeared on Lin Chuan's face, "I'm as vigorous as ever, where am I weak?"
"Hmm... you haven't paid your rent in a long time."
The Little Landlady's face turned a shade of peach, her sparkling eyes fluttering, captivating Lin Chuan.
"It's still broad daylight!"
Lin Chuan glanced at the bright sunshine outside.
"You really have weakened!"
The Little Landlady laughed heartily, teasing, then turned the conversation, "By the way, should we inform Sister Qianqian about this?"
Two more lines of irritation crossed Lin Chuan's face, "What does my weakness have to do with Shen Qianqian?"
The Little Landlady's hand reached around Lin Chuan's waist, pinching a bit of flesh, "I meant the munitions factory order, what were you thinking?"
"Oh, that.
Lin Chuan chuckled, "I'll just contact her father; he's in charge of the steel plant. We'll need him for worker management and technical supervision."
"Okay."
The Little Landlady nodded.
Then, the two began to prepare for tomorrow's partnership discussions, including hotel accommodations, itinerary, cooperation details, weapons pricing, and more.
Fortunately, Lin Chuan was well-versed in military weapons trade, particularly the needs of the Hass Armed Forces, so these preparations did not take much time.
The next day, at 10 a.m.
A plane flying from Southeast Asia to Anling crossed the cerulean sky, its engines roaring uniquely as it bathed in golden light and smoothly landed at the airport.
Not long after.
Dressed in a deep blue suit with his stubble cleanly shaved, Leo, along with his aides and two staff members, emerged from the airport, looking around.
"Mr. Leo, hello."
Lin Chuan recognized Leo immediately and approached him, greeting him in Arabic.
Arabic is one of the main languages used in the regions where the Hass Armed Forces are located.
In the Middle East, 60% of the population speaks Arabic.
In reality, Lin Chuan had never encountered Arabic, but in the simulated world, his military weapons were mainly sold to the Middle East, requiring frequent communication with people from the region.
Initially, he relied on translators, but often they failed to accurately convey his meaning.
For example.
Once, a representative from an armed group in the Middle East repeatedly emphasized to Lin Chuan that they had no designs on Gansu and Sichuan and asked not to be maligned.
Lin Chuan was baffled.
Later, he found out that during the weapon price negotiations, when he had offered the best discount possible but the other party wanted even lower prices, Lin Chuan had remarked, "Don't be greedy."
However.
The translator had interpreted it as "You've already occupied Gansu, now you want to take Sichuan," leading to a complete mix-up.
Therefore, Lin Chuan started earnestly studying Arabic afterward.
Now, he was fluent in Arabic, fully capable of barrier-free communication in military weapons trade.
Hearing the familiar Arabic, Leo raised his eyebrows and hastily replied in Mandarin, "Hello, Mr. Lin."
Although it was a bit awkward, it was the outcome of his diligent practice the previous night.
The two shook hands amicably.
Then Leo said, "Mr. Lin, my Mandarin is not very good, please forgive me."
Lin Chuan laughed heartily and continued in Arabic, "No problem, we can just speak in Arabic."
He spoke very fluently, which took Leo and others by surprise.
Beside Lin Chuan, also there to pick up guests, the Little Landlady, Zhang Xinxin, was also surprised.
She had no idea when her boss had learned such gibberish, as she couldn't understand a word.
Nevertheless, she stood beside Lin Chuan with a smile, looking obedient.
"Your Arabic impresses me," Leo expressed admiringly.
"Actually, I have an indescribable affinity with Arabic," Lin Chuan replied smilingly.
"I would love to hear more," Leo followed Lin Chuan, walking out of the airport.
Lin Chuan then shared some cultural characteristics of the Middle East known to him and some amusing stories from his studies of Arabic.
Lin Chuan was as familiar with the history and culture of the region, especially where the Hass Armed Forces were located, as if it were his own backyard.
For example, ancient cultures like Sumer, Akkad, Babylon, Persia, Arab, and the Ottoman Empire, as well as the Islamic culture Leo followed, were all brought up by Lin Chuan, leaving Leo and his companions astonished.
"Mr. Lin, I never thought you'd understand us so well," Leo expressed, using the honorific "you" out of respect.
Walking next to Lin Chuan, he looked up and down at the young man who made him feel extraordinarily familiar.
Lin Chuan wore a tailored suit with a white shirt underneath. His stature was slender and his face clean and sunny. Though young, there was a mature insight in his eyes and his every move exuded a unique aura.
This feeling was rare for Leo.
Yu Qin, who often collaborated with him before, had never given him this impression; Yu Qin was more about leveraging power, with a somewhat domineering air.
But Lin Chuan was convincing.
Young yet experienced, this unusual combination was Leo's first impression of Lin Chuan.
He didn't dare underestimate this young man.
He also looked twice at the young woman beside him.
Not because Xinxin was beautiful, but because she carried a calm, composed quality about her, unreserved and appropriate in behavior.
Lin Chuan smiled faintly, continuing in Arabic, "Mr. Leo, I haven't specifically researched these topics, but life has imparted them to me."
"You are Allah's messenger, and I am even more looking forward to our collaboration now."
Leo gave a high praise.
Lin Chuan laughed heartily, "So am I."
Then, the group got into the car and headed for the Baoying Grand Hotel in Anling City.
Lin Chuan's approach, showing both respect and recognition, undoubtedly maximized the goodwill of Leo and his companions.
He knew that the Hass Armed Forces, represented by Leo, urgently needed a batch of military weapons, which is why Leo eagerly sought him out.
If it were just a single transaction, he wouldn't have shared so much with Leo.
But Lin Chuan hoped to turn the Hass Armed Forces into a long-term partner, to make them a "showcase," thereby opening the door to military weapons trade in the Middle East and promoting their weapons vigorously.
And so began the era of the Arms Tycoon.
Or rather, the Toy Tycoon!
