Virtual Reality world, KK factory district.
Lin Chuan looked at the enchanting woman in front of him, wearing a red dress.
Her face was caked with heavy makeup, a strong scent of cosmetic powder, high cheekbones, a pointed chin, and an unnaturally high nose bridge that was clearly the product of surgery—a synthetic face.
However, Lin Chuan wasn’t really interested in her looks.
After all, his business partner, Little Landlady’s beauty was enough to grind this red-dressed woman into the ground hundreds of times over.
Moreover, Little Landlady was all-natural, without a trace of makeup, and was also very straightforward.
Lin Chuan’s eyes swept the surroundings.
Outside the factory building, there were six men in floral shirts holding AK47s, and by the red-dressed woman’s side were seven or eight burly men, iron rods in hand.
Lin Chuan abandoned the idea of a ‘head-on’ confrontation.
In his estimation, he could perhaps take on the seven or eight men with iron rods, but the six AKs left too little room for error.
If he were to take a bullet by mistake.
Then the novel that would be generated would be titled ‘Dead on Arrival’: Mr. Lin, newly arrived at the KK factory district, resisted, perished.
“Handsome boy, why aren’t you talking?”
The woman in the red dress hooked her sultry gaze onto him, her finger trailing Lin Chuan’s cheek.
Lin Chuan involuntarily stepped back half a step, “Okay, I’m willing to join the KK factory district.”
“Handsome boy, you’re quite shy, aren’t you?”
The red-dressed woman’s lips curled into a cold smirk before she turned and walked into the abandoned factory.
The seven or eight men glared at Lin Chuan.
Lin Chuan took a deep breath and walked into the factory as well.
As he cursed the system in his heart, he also pondered how to develop this segment of ‘Fraud Salesman’s Life Experience’ in a way that would make the story appealing to readers?
The novel might not be written by his own hand, but the plot was indeed his real-life experience.
Therefore, his performance in the Virtual World would determine whether the novel was exciting or not.
As for becoming a business tycoon and building a commercial empire.
Lin Chuan had long since put that thought out of his mind.
Having become a Fraud Salesman, what commercial empire was there to speak of, unless he intended to climb his way to the top?
Huh?
A lightbulb went off in Lin Chuan’s mind, his eyes shining brightly.
At that moment, the pathway of a salesman’s Life Experience in Lin Chuan’s mind started to form a clear trajectory, like plotting out a novel’s storyline.
To sweep the entire KK factory district in one fell swoop!
Not just that, but to capture every fraud gang as well!
Lin Chuan walked into the factory.
From the outside, this abandoned factory looked nothing but desolate and forsaken.
However, stepping inside revealed a much darker scene, resembling a cage.
It wasn’t that there was no light in the factory, but the bright lights shone down upon iron cages that were locked, inside of which were people moaning in misery, their faces sallow, bodies emaciated, and hunger gnawing at their guts.
Men and women alike.
Lin Chuan had seen his fair share of brutality, but in this instant, he frowned deeply.
Was the system a practitioner of realism?
Was it creating a simulated world based on the real one?
“Kid, do you want to go in there?” The burly man next to him asked with meaningful laughter, his scarred face looking particularly ferocious.
Lin Chuan’s expression returned to calm, “The rules, I understand them.”
“Kid, you catch on quickly,” the Scarred Man sneered, “If you don’t cooperate properly and don’t meet the quota this month, then that will be your fate.”
Lin Chuan didn’t reply.
Following the woman in the red dress, he passed between two rows of iron cages and arrived at the staircase, then walked up to the second floor.
“Handsome boy, what’s your name?”
The woman in the red dress turned, a hooked smile on her face as she asked.
“My name is Mr. Lin,” Lin Chuan replied.
“Mr. Lin, you can call me Sister Lan. Now that you’re willing to join us at KK Factory District, to become part of our big Glory and Wealth family, let me introduce you to the operations of our district,” said the woman claiming to be Sister Lan with a smile.
Lin Chuan nodded.
Sister Lan continued, “Our KK Factory District handles stock trading, cryptocurrency mining, e-commerce, online gaming, gambling... basically, any business that makes money, we’re on it. Also, we have eight departments in the district. Do you know what they are?”
Lin Chuan pondered for a moment before saying, “Righteous General, agent, assistant, defector, blower, arsonist, remover, rumor-spreader—those are the Eight Generals of the Cheating Sect.”
The Eight Generals of the Cheating Sect were not only applied in the context of setting up games in casinos.
The same terms were used in the operation of overseas fraud factories.
“You seem to know quite a bit.”
Sister Lan couldn’t help but size up Lin Chuan with curiosity, “Tell me, what does each of the Eight Generals do?”
For Lin Chuan, this question was a simple one.
He had previously experienced the professional life of a Cheating Techniques master, so he was naturally familiar with the Eight Generals of the Cheating Sect.
And so,
Lin Chuan began, “Each of the Eight Generals has a different role. The Righteous General is in charge of setting up the scheme, designing and plotting the fraud; the agent, also known as the ‘shill,’ leads the victims into the trap; the assistant uses reverse psychology or goading to lure people into the game...”
Righteous General, agent, assistant, defector, blower, arsonist, remover, rumor-spreader—Lin Chuan went through the roles one by one.
Sister Lan looked at Lin Chuan more highly, but then her brows furrowed, “It seems you’ve come prepared?”
With that said, the hulky men around them grunted and tightened their grip on their iron rods.
The atmosphere suddenly turned tense.
Lin Chuan had already thought of an excuse, “Sister Lan, I’ve indeed come prepared. I came here to make money!”
Indeed, not everyone who entered the factory was deceived into coming.
Some of them had come willingly.
Their goal was exactly that—to make money.
Big money!
Sister Lan took off her sunglasses, narrowed her eyes at Lin Chuan, and asked with interest, “Indeed prepared, so which General would you like to be?”
“I will follow Sister Lan’s arrangement,” Lin Chuan said with a smile.
Sister Lan seemed very satisfied with Lin Chuan’s response and continued the tour.
On the second floor, rows of computers were set up, manned by many ‘piglets’ responsible for writing program code and creating websites.
The third floor was filled with chat rooms.
Inside, the ‘piglets’—both men and women—were good-looking, each one wearing a headset; many of the women were dressed provocatively with garments that could fall off at a mere tug.
Lin Chuan knew that these people were the agents—’shills’—using erotic allure to draw people into the trap.
Seduction was a cliché tactic, but few could resist it.
Once they fell into the trap, it was hard to get out.
Sister Lan then took Lin Chuan to the fourth floor.
This was the core area for the gambling operations of the entire factory, with beautiful dealers dealing cards online.
Lin Chuan looked on in amazement.
After all, it was usually on small websites where he’d come across this familiar phrase, but now he was seeing it done by real people.
It was indeed live dealers dealing the cards!
Lin Chuan, being an extremely professional fraud salesman, needed only a little thought to roughly understand the operation model of the gambling here.
The second floor’s personnel created the webpages and crafted the programs and advertisements, then let the shills on the third floor distribute these ads and sites to thousands of users through matrix groups, also simulating bots on the pages to liven up the atmosphere, enticing people who received the ads to take the bait.
“Handsome guy, have you decided what you want to do yet?” Sister Lan asked.
Lin Chuan smiled, “Except for being a Beautiful Dealer which I can’t do, I can handle writing code on the second floor or chatting in the rooms on the third.”
Sister Lan blinked, “You have a face that seems harmlessly charming, those rich and greasy matrons love your kind of pretty boy. Go to the third floor.”
“Remember, your target this month is five million in performance. If you complete it, you get a 20% commission. If not, well, we’ll see how ‘healthy’ your ‘pig diving’ will be.”
