Nanyue Royal Family Ancient Tomb.
The sole remaining Caucasian, facing Lin Chuan, was quickly subdued by him in just a few moves.
As per usual protocol, he knocked him out.
In the dimly lit tomb chamber, Qin Sisi and Zhong Xunfeng stared blankly at Lin Chuan, but the situation was urgent; there was no time to ask why Lin Chuan had such formidable combat skills.
Approaching the two of them, Lin Chuan said with a somewhat solemn expression, "We need to leave this place quickly, these three are well-trained, and it's very likely they're from a famous international organization. There's a chance they've got guns among their team."
Qin Sisi frowned deeply, for she had mostly lived in a safe and worry-free environment, almost never having heard of the scenarios Lin Chuan described.
Zhong Xunfeng was different.
Due to his family background, he was much more informed than others.
Whether in the cyber world or the real world, there's always a shadowy area, also called 'darknet,' 'deep web,' 'black market,' 'underworld,' there are many names.
This area, many ordinary people will never come into contact with in their lifetimes.
It has its rules.
However, once you become entangled with this area, you'll be caught in it, obliged to play by its rules.
This is seldom out in the open.
If news about it spreads recklessly, it means that the situation has spiraled beyond its control.
For example, when Lin Chuan hacked into the core server of the Old Street Factory District and made the information public, triggering widespread discussions and heated debates across the internet.
Voices against fraud rose sharply.
Of course, this also caused the 'Baisheng Group' behind the scenes in the Old Street Factory District to secretly search for clues about Lin Chuan.
Baisheng Group believed that Lin Chuan broke the rules and challenged their authority.
Luckily, Lin Chuan was a top-notch hacker and had erased all traces of himself, even on the dark web, his whereabouts could not be found.
Now, the appearance of these three well-trained Caucasians inside the Nanyue Royal Family Ancient Tomb and their audacity in laying hands on the National Archaeological Team was telling of a certain problem.
This group, they came prepared.
After some thought, Lin Chuan realized that should a fight break out, he might not be able to take care of the rather frail Qin Sisi with two others.
The most important task right now was not to apprehend this organization, but to rescue Zhong Xunfeng and the others.
"Let's get out of here first!"
Zhong Xunfeng also nodded gravely.
Lin Chuan, now regarded as the backbone of the team, immediately led everyone away.
However.
The ancient tomb was vast, yet it was a narrow world for enemies.
Just as the group had stepped out of the tomb passageway and returned to the central chamber of the sacrificial altar, they bumped into two dark figures.
The two dark shadows happened to dart out from the middle passageway.
They did not have towering figures but rather appeared sneaky, looking around furtively.
Without a word, Lin Chuan strode forward, his grip tightening on the threaded steel pipe as he viciously swung it at one of their heads.
The two were startled, their eyes bulging as they immediately covered their heads and scampered off to the side.
Ah——
A scream immediately rang out in the chamber.
The person Lin Chuan hit on the shoulder curled up on the ground, rolling in pain, and from the sound of the scream, it seemed like a bone had been fractured.
The other person hadn't even had the chance to feel relieved when Lin Chuan quickly rolled over, his right arm bent, and delivered an elbow strike to the left side of his head.
There's a saying in boxing, "Better to take ten punches than one elbow."
Lin Chuan's elbow strike held back very little and landed hard on the man's head, causing him to fall straight to the ground, seeing stars and the world spinning.
Holding a strong flashlight, Qin Sisi got a clear look at the faces of the two men, they were not foreigners but appeared to be Tomb Robbers.
However, Lin Chuan and his group did not stop.
"Move quickly!"
Lin Chuan uttered a stern command.
Several more shadows quickly emerged from the middle passageway, and in the narrow tomb corridor, Lin Chuan was not entirely confident he could take them all down.
More likely, they would bypass him and directly target Qin Sisi, Zhong Xunfeng, and the others.
Accepting that he was a hindrance, Zhong Xunfeng responded and, together with another member of the Archaeological Team, hurriedly squeezed into the passageway.
Qin Sisi and Lin Chuan followed closely behind.
Bang!
Just as Lin Chuan and the others entered the passageway, a bullet accompanied by the sound of firing whizzed through the chilly tomb corridor and struck the stone slab on the wall.
"Good thing we ran quickly, having a gun is really troublesome," Lin Chuan complained while leading the evacuation.
Within seven steps, a gun is fast.
Within seven steps, a gun is both fast and accurate.
In the current situation, Lin Chuan would not want to act like in the movies, to try and snatch the gun barehanded; that would be too risky.
Cough, the Little Landlady was still waiting for him in bed tonight.
First, escape; leave the rest to the police comrades to handle.
Lin Chuan led the team, retreating swiftly.
Returning by the original path, only when they entered the labyrinth-like tomb passageway they had come through did everyone breathe a sigh of relief.
Old Yao, who had led a group back through the maze earlier, met Lin Chuan and the others halfway and escorted them out of the maze, ascending from the hole by the ropes.
That group did not catch up.
At this moment.
The torrential downpour had stopped, and the mid-mountain side of Dabao Mountain was surrounded by misty clouds, the gloomy skies clearing, and even without the sunlight, it had brightened a lot.
The air after a summer rain was particularly fresh.
Huuu—
Zhong Xunfeng and Qin Sisi, among others, climbed out of the cave's mouth, greedily breathing in the fresh and crisp air.
Seeing that Lin Chuan had brought Zhong Xunfeng and the others out safely, everyone breathed a deep sigh of relief and gathered around to warm them up.
Including the police station chief, Zhang Biao, had also arrived.
