Angelina's reading speed was incredibly fast; she powered through the million words of "Black Ice" from morning till night without stopping.
She didn't even eat lunch or dinner.
Even after reaching the end, Angelina's face carried a lingering fondness, as if she was savoring Mr. Lin's narcotics trafficker life.
"This is the autobiography of my idol, amazing!"
A look of utter satisfaction appeared on Angelina's face, her lips slightly upturned, her fingers involuntarily opened QQ.
Immediately after, she involuntarily opened Lin Chuan's chat window.
It was late at night at the North Bear hacker organization HK's studio, the night sky hung low, neon lights mottled like scattered stars, in the deep quiet night, only the sprites whispered.
However, at this time, Angelina was full of energy.
She sent Lin Chuan a message, "Idol, I finally got to see your new book!"
The time difference between Angelina's location and Anling by the Han River was not significant.
By chance, Lin Chuan wasn't asleep either.
Lin Chuan lay back on the sofa in the living room, and when he saw Angelina's message pop up on QQ, he replied with a slight smile, "Angelina, you found my new book so quickly!"
This hacker from North Bear gave Lin Chuan the feeling of a little international fan.
In Lin Chuan's heart, a sense of pride inevitably rose.
I even have devoted readers in North Bear!
——Indeed, it was something to be proud of.
Right after that,
Angelina's next sentence made Lin Chuan even prouder.
She replied immediately, "Idol, what you don't know is, I have already seen 'Black Ice'!/proud.jpg" Stay updated with freewebnovel
Lin Chuan was momentarily stunned, then grinned and replied, "That's the information capturing ability of a world-class hacker!/thumbs_up.jpg"
Angelina first replied with a '/haha.jpg' emoji.
Then, she said in Chinese, "I have learned quite a few techniques from Hacker Kingdom, and to thank you, I think I can help you promote 'Black Ice'. My friends will definitely like it!"
"No, no!"
Lin Chuan hurriedly refused.
Angelina's way of promoting was too hardcore.
This could mean hacking into someone's network and forcibly implanting advertisements.
If she wanted, she could even make the targeted users automatically pay to read Lin Chuan's novel.
Of course, Lin Chuan had such technology too.
But.
Firstly, the system doesn't allow such data manipulation; it demands genuine data.
Secondly, that stuff... it's illegal!
Lin Chuan had his goals set; he was determined not to be a criminal suspect!
The interrogation rooms with their little black cells are best visited less often.
After all, not all interrogation room black cells feel like home, as those at the Anling Police Station do.
On the other side,
A smile appeared on Angelina's pretty face, and she sent another message to Lin Chuan, "Idol, are you planning to expand the market overseas?"
"That was a helpless move."
Lin Chuan replied, forcing a dry laugh.
The domestic web novel environment does not allow stories where a 'narcotics trafficker' is the protagonist, even if this trafficker ultimately comes to his senses, it won't pass the review.
So, I had no choice but to go overseas.
"So, do you have any plans to enter the North Bear market with your drug business?" Angelina asked.
Lin Chuan's eyebrows scrunched together, and his complexion froze, "Angelina, I was talking about the development of my novel business, what are you talking about?"
Inside the HK studio.
Angelina was also taken aback for a moment, her beautiful face twitched, and she asked, "I was just asking if you are preparing to expand your drug business overseas."
Lin Chuan: "???"
His face darkened, feeling like even a plunge into the Yellow River couldn't cleanse him.
Angelina, the hacker fan, thought he really was a major narcotics trafficker.
"Idol, why are you sending these question marks, what do you want to ask?" Angelina didn't understand the meaning behind sending three question marks in a row, so she asked naively.
Lin Chuan laughed awkwardly, then seriously explained, "Angelina, 'Black Ice' is just a novel; everything in it is fictional and should not be taken as reality."
Angelina, confused, "Isn't this based on your experience?"
She experienced Lin Chuan's hacker skills in "Hacker Kingdom", and Lin Chuan also displayed a wave in reality.
This made her naively think that these were Lin Chuan's real experiences.
Only real experiences could be so vivid, so true to life, making the reader feel as though they were living it, as if tasting his life itself.
"Angelina, 'Black Ice' is a work of fiction, I'm really not a big drug lord."
Lin Chuan replied.
I abide by the law, I haven't committed any crimes!
Completely innocent!
Angelina was half-convinced and replied, "Okay, I misunderstood you. I thought you also manufactured and sold drugs, I even wanted to ask you a few questions about it."
In 'Black Ice', she had seen several drugs that hadn't appeared in the market.
Therefore, she wanted to ask Lin Chuan whether these were real or fake.
"Regarding the drugs, I can't reply to that, let's stop here." Lin Chuan quickly ended the topic.
The novel is purely fictional, do not confuse it with reality.
"Okay, idol, my Chinese isn't good enough, and I still have some difficulty reading Chinese novels. Will you be publishing your stories overseas in the future?"
Angelina asked.
"I suppose I will." Lin Chuan couldn't give a precise answer.
Actually, it all depends on the system, or on one's own luck.
If I am blessed by fortune and draw a prestigious normal profession, I probably won't launch it overseas first. If it's something that could easily get me thrown into jail, like 'drug lord', and isn't allowed in the domestic environment, then I will launch overseas.
"I'd like to make a small suggestion." Angelina replied.
"Please, do tell."
"Your novels are really good, whether it's 'Hacker Kingdom' or 'Black Ice', they are very engaging, but we overseas readers don't have many places to discuss your work. If you want to break into the overseas market, you might want to set up some forums."
Angelina gave Lin Chuan a suggestion.
So far, readers of "Hacker Kingdom" mostly discuss it on the international edition of the Sailing Novel app.
However, the Sailing Novel international app isn't widely known, which isn't conducive to the external promotion of the work.
That is, it doesn't break out of its niche.
Phenomenal literary works always have dedicated forums or have their own sections in popular applications.
This is immensely helpful for maintaining reader loyalty and popularity of the work.
Lin Chuan nodded his head, really appreciating Angelina's suggestion: "Your proposal is excellent."
Angelina smiled with pursed lips, a stark contrast to her usual demeanor.
Holding her phone, she eagerly volunteered and quickly replied, "Idol, what do you think of me doing this job?"
"You already have an idea?"
Lin Chuan arched an eyebrow; this little hacker fan sure thinks on her feet.
"I plan to create a section on the largest International Forum as the discussion base for your readers and as the window for external publicity. I think the effect would be quite good," Angelina replied.
Lin Chuan's eyes lit up.
This was indeed a very good promotional tactic.
After all, the Popularity Value (Average Subscription) for 'Black Ice' needs to reach 50,000.
But the user base of the Sailing Novel international app isn't very big.
Just relying on its recommendations to support 'Black Ice' reaching 50,000 subscriptions could be hopeless in a short span of time.
But by creating a section on the largest forum for "Hacker Kingdom" and "Black Ice", it would be like using existing readers to attract new ones.
At the same time, it would also promote "Hacker Kingdom" and "Black Ice".
With that thought.
Lin Chuan immediately replied, "Your idea is awesome!/ThumbsUp.jpg"
"Then I'll start creating it now!"
Angelina, deeply invested in her idol 'God of Hackers', was very enthusiastic, having learned a lot of techniques from Lin Chuan's novels.
Moreover, setting up a forum section and operating it was just a piece of cake for her.
In just ten minutes.
A section called 'Underworld' appeared on the largest International Forum.
Of course.
Angelina used a little bit of her skills to stick the 'Underworld' section at the top of the forum.
Instantly.
A motley crew of characters clicked into the 'Underworld'.
