Soon enough.
Youyou was once again amused by her own nonsensical idea.
Crazily enough, just escaping from a fraud gang was enough to shock everyone and gather a large following, not to mention actually taking down such a gang.
How could an ordinary person possibly bring down a fraud gang?
Besides, the risks involved were very high.
Youyou really didn't want Lin Chuan to take such risks. Better not.
The soft light filtered through the curtains, casting a peaceful and beautiful glow on Youyou's fair, snow-like face.
As Youyou watched Lin Chuan's ranking continue to fall, a thoughtful expression appeared on her small face, "As an excellent editor, I need to think of a way to help my treasure."
Yes, Youyou valued this anti-fraud writing campaign very much.
And Lin Chuan was not only the 'Platinum Certifier' she was focusing on developing but also a seed contestant in this event vying for the top spots in the submissions.
If he couldn't win a few substantial prizes, the Platinum Certifier position would be far out of reach.
Authors like Tianya and Guihai, influential authors in their own right, were competing alongside thousands of other writers, all aiming to nab the prestigious award and add a flashy highlight to their writing resumes, weren't they?
After much consideration, Youyou decided to first promote it through the usual route of live video streaming.
Last time,
When blogger 'Su Qianqian' live-streamed the promotion of "This Assassin Is Too Professional", it had brought in quite a lot of traffic conversion for Lin Chuan.
Having made up her mind, Youyou immediately contacted Su Qianqian.
Su Qianqian often collaborated with Sailing Novel, so it wasn't difficult for Youyou to get in touch.
"Hello Qianqian, this is Youyou, editor from Sailing Novel."
"Hello Youyou."
"I have a book here that I hope you can promote through your live stream. How can we collaborate?" Youyou asked.
Su Qianqian replied, "Which book is it?"
"All-In."
Youyou sent over the title of Lin Chuan's work.
In a little while, Su Qianqian replied again, "No problem, I just happen to have a live stream tonight, and I can promote this book."
"That would be great." A pleasant surprise appeared on Youyou's face, who then asked, "How much will the charge be?"
"No charge." Su Qianqian replied.
"/Puzzled.jpg." A look of surprise crossed Youyou's pretty face.
Free promotion?
Usually, when reaching out to bloggers for book promotion, they would charge a fee, ranging from a few hundreds to thousands.
For a blogger with a million followers like Su Qianqian, who had a relatively high reader conversion rate, the prices usually started in the four figures.
This was one way for promotion bloggers to monetize their traffic.
Everyone was in it for the profits, bustle and hustle for the sake of gains.
Earning a living, no fault in that.
On the other side of the internet, Su Qianqian explained, "I really liked his previous book 'This Assassin Is Too Professional'; I've read it twice."
Su Qianqian seldom accepted commercial deals.
Most of the time, she would recommend books she herself liked to her followers.
Like "The Shining", "Human Bone Puzzle", "Moment of Burial", and so on.
Sometimes, when she had no books to recommend, she would watch horror and thriller movies with her followers, often leaving them shivering with fear.
Youyou muttered with a laugh, 'Lin Chuan, you're quite something, huh? Even a big blogger with a million followers is your fan.'
Afterward.
She replied to Su Qianqian, "That's perfect then, this time he's writing with an anti-fraud theme, but the perspective is a bit different. It begins with the narrative from the viewpoint of a fraud salesman in the factory area, and there will be some rather bloody scenes. I wonder if you can handle that?"
"Totally OK!"
Su Qianqian's eyes lit up as she thought to herself, this is exactly what I'm looking for!
Six o'clock in the evening.
On the fast-shake live broadcast, Su Qianqian started her stream.
The background of the live broadcast room was the familiar study, filled with the aroma of books.
Su Qianqian wore a simple light green gauze shirt, her soft black hair casually tied into a ponytail, her oval face and fair skin radiated with vivacity and purity.
As she sat there quietly, the charm of a Jiangnan water town seemed to naturally emerge.
Su Qianqian had begun her broadcast.
The live broadcast room quickly filled with fans.
Most viewers were not there for the content of the broadcast, but for Su Qianqian's beauty.
[Qianqian, you're a bit weird today, weirdly cute.]
[Qianqian my wife, I went for an infusion last night, do you know what kind of infusion it was? A night missing you.]
[It's been three years since we last met.]
Su Qianqian smiled and replied, "Didn't I just do a broadcast yesterday? How has it been three years?"
The audience immediately responded—
[A day apart feels like three autumns.]
Su Qianqian chuckled and said with a pursed smile, "If you used these lines on girls, you would have won their hearts a long time ago."
[How could that be? You are the only one willing to listen. The last time I said this to a girl, she slapped me across the face and called me a dirt dog.]
[That's right, not gentle at all. I still prefer someone like Qianqian, intellectual and gentle.]
[One glance at Qianqian, and I'm lost for life!]
Su Qianqian straightened her hair, her smile brimming with warmth.
After some routine interaction with her audience in the live broadcast room, she moved on to the book reading segment of her stream.
Live book reading was a rarity in streaming.
Because it just seemed dull and flavorless, and it could easily lead to viewer fatigue.
But with Su Qianqian, there was a unique charm.
This lilac from the Jiangnan water town, when she read novels or watched videos, could startle the viewers into wanting to smash their computer screens.
Yet she remained unmoved, smiling gently, believing it could be even more terrifying.
The contrast effect was maxed out!
The live broadcast was scoring full marks!
[Qianqian, what book are you recommending today?]
[I want to see the top-ranked brother, carrying a train through the night.]
[I'm the top rank, I can't possibly carry a train. Qianqian, don't be afraid, I'm not afraid.]
[Nonsense, weren't you the one who fainted in the bathroom last time?]
[Slander, pure slander! I, a brave grown man, am here to protect Qianqian.]
Su Qianqian smiled and got to the point, "Today, we're going to read a book by an old friend."
[An old friend... Qianqian, don't scare me!]
[Qianqian my wife, now that you mention an old friend, I'm really scared. Can I watch the book in your arms?]
[I am your loyal fan, you have to take responsibility if I get scared!]
[You guys have shaken all your abacus beads onto my face!]
[What old friend?]
[Su Qianqian took out her phone, opened the Sailing Novel app with a smile, and said, "Do you guys still remember 'This Assassin Is Too Professional'?]
[Assassin, professional?]
[Wow! After I finished that book, I couldn't eat for a week!]
[When I do the killing... ah spit, I mean when I kill chickens, I do it very cleanly!]
[Is the suspected criminal Mr. Lin writing a new book?]
[So thrilling! I admit I'm excited!]
Su Qianqian continued, "This time, he's brought a scams-themed novel called 'All-In' for the Anti-Fraud writing competition."
Then, Su Qianqian and the novel page of 'All-In' appeared on the live broadcast screen, side by side.
'Ten years ago, I entered the KK factory area.'
'Ten years later, I finally escaped to see the sky again.'
'There, there were no dreams of overnight wealth, nor were there any visions of paradise on earth.'
'On the contrary, it was hell, a cage, a gathering place for sin.'
The audience followed Su Qianqian's reading progress and together stepped into the novel world of 'All-In'.
The content of chapter 15 was not much.
Just 20 minutes passed, and they had already reached the latest chapter.
[That's it? The author's writing is too short, right?]
[I wanted to see how he would scam that fish!]
[Qianqian my wife, are you sure this is an anti-fraud novel, why do I feel like it's the author's autobiography?]
[Agree with the brother above!]
[First-person narrative + Fraud Salesman's perspective + Autobiography, why do I feel like this is Ming's book?]
[Which one is Ming's book?]
['The Years I Was Tricked into the Factory Area'.]
At this moment.
The author Ming was also live streaming on the Kuai Dou video platform.
The video he posted today for attracting viewers had already reached 2 million views.
Therefore, he decided to go live.
Typing while answering readers' questions, he sought to maintain the popularity.
In Ming's live broadcast room, the real online viewer count: 4000+.
[Author, is your book 'The Years I Was Tricked into the Factory Area' really your autobiography?]
[That book is so realistic!]
[Author, how did you return to the country?]
[Author, you're awesome, I feel like I'm the one scammed in the story.]
[Author, please update, I can't sleep at night.]
[Love it! The author goes deep into the fray, a tough cookie!]
[Your depiction of fraud is so real, author, should I call the police?]
[Ming, wearing a black T-shirt and using face effects, laughed, "Thanks for the support, brothers. I've published some of these scam cases before, all based on real events. I hope you can take them as a warning to avoid making my mistakes and avoid being scammed.]
[Just for what the author said, I have to give a good review!]
[Author, won't your book get banned for writing like this?]
[If this gets reported, wouldn't it be 404'd?]
[I don't think so, I just saw a similar one next door.]
[Similar?]
[Yes, it's called 'All-In', also written in first-person about being tricked into the factory area to scam, very realistic and immersive to read.]
The viewers in Ming's live broadcast room were taken aback.
Another scam salesman who escaped from the factory area?
Suddenly.
The viewers became curious and flocked into Lin Chuan's 'All-In' to skim through it.
The more they saw, the more similar it seemed.
[The beginnings of the two novels were the same, being scammed into the factory area, witnessing the boss beating the escapee, warning the newcomers...]
[Isn't this too similar?]
[I strongly suspect that Lin is also someone who ran out of the scams factory area!]
[Both escaping from the scam factory area, both starting to write novels, could it be such a coincidence?]
[What does the brother above mean?]
[Take a look at the novels written by author Lin.]
['Swindler,' 'This Assassin Is Too Professional,' 'Hacker Kingdom,' 'All-In,' his earlier works had pretty good results, what's up with them?]
[Just look at the timing of their release. Four books from March to now, totaling up to four million words!]
[Another doubt is the wide range of professions: swindler + assassin + hacker + fraud salesman, doesn't he need to do research?]
[Geez, what are you trying to imply?]
[This is a clear case of plagiarism!]
[Ah! Lin and Ming published on the same day, it would be pretty hard to plagiarize, right?]
[You underestimate the plagiarism monster, Ming just said he had previously published some related cases.]
[No, no, you can say 'All-In' is plagiarized, there's a basis for plagiarism there, but what about Lin's earlier books, which are they plagiarizing?]
[Well, I don't know about that, only the plagiarist himself knows.]
[Spreading rumors just like that, huh???]
In the live broadcast room, rumor-mongers quickly appeared, and some even went to the Anti-Fraud Center website and clicked the report button.
Logic?
In the virtual world of the internet, one can see the diversity of species, and they, they don't need logic at all!
Just blurt it out!
Behind the scenes, there might be a hidden hand at play.
"Don't spread rumors! Everything must be based on evidence!"
Youyou the editor was also in the live broadcast room, fingers on the keyboard, rapidly typing rebuttals, but they were quickly drowned in the vast sea of comments.
There's a suspicion of plagiarism.
Even the word 'suspicion' has a powerful destructive force.
Most passersby who eat melons won't see the follow-up clarifications, they'll just remember, this author is like some kind of plagiarist.
An earnest author, willing to accept criticisms like 'poor writing,' 'messy plot,' 'brain-dead character design,' and the like.
But the one thing he cannot accept is the word 'plagiarism.'
Plagiarism is the biggest defamation you can give an earnest author.
Defamation!
Bare-faced defamation!
